  • I think the best thing a person can do is play both so that they may understand both sides. I wouldn't say killer is OP, though survivor also isn't OP in many regards. They may also believe killers to be OP because they don't understand or know the tiles and don't know how to loop. If that's the case, I would suggest for them to look up guides and so on.

When playing with friends, I don't really hear much of that. If anything, I hear that survivor is OP from killer main friends who are playing SWF with me.

Survivors are getting buffed though, gens can be done in 15 seconds thanks to prove thy self, self care faster than being healed by another player (if it makes it past PTB) there are now medium vaults, Dwight perks got really good, status effect timers no longer stack, that’s just scratching the surface.

No they can't, that's a bug that won't be going live and the SC change isn't going live either.

Yeah it will only be ~18 (?) seconds instead

LOL it's ok for the killer to loadout based off the survivors but God forbid the survivors come in with their planned loadout. - Keep in mind, Killer has all the advantages, Survivors have no idea who they're up against. I know most of the time when I switch at the last second it is because I'm just advancing the BW in one survivor and then switch to the one that I'm actually going to play. It's smart for survivors to try to trick the killer, but it's not a strategy I will usually do. It typically just results in tunneling or face-camping by the obnoxious killer.

Considering survivor is going against one, while killer is going against four, yes it's fair for them to see what they may be facing. Survivors shouldn't know who they're up against. Based on the lore, they're to be tormented and crap. Part of that torment is the fear of unknown. Killers don't have all the advantages considering survivors can run the killer around for killer around for four gens. Some of the perks put the killers at a disadvantage, too, if they choose to chase them. Honestly when I see someone do a last minute change and they end up getting camped, I'm not surprised. It's the survivor being obnoxious in that case. Not the killer.

  • @HURRI_KAIN said:
This has been done, but I agree it should only be for SWF, b/c frankly I'm not interested in sitting around waiting to see their loadout and thus increasing the chances of ending up in their room again only to be tunneled and camped again by the same killer.

No, it should affect everyone. We don't know how easy it is to implement otherwise and it only really affects those who just feel like whining about any change. If you don't want to be in the lobby of a certain killer again, just block them. You were probably gonna wait around to flame them, anyway. Doesn't change anything.

  • You need a TL;DR. Your text is way too long.

Nerfs are needed. Chases shouldn't be nearly as long as they are and self-care can attribute to that length. If the chased heals themselves after being hit away, that will prolongue the chase as they need to be hit all over again. When chases are long, a lot of killers will resort to camping and tunneling off of hook to ensure a kill. Self-care shouldn't be nearly as good as it is now, anyway. I still think making SC not hold if you start moving would be best as it can't be used in chase.

What rank is your killer? Maybe spend more time on them. It's best to play both equally so that you can understand stuff from both perspectives.

Respawning hooks and traps are necessary. Without them respawning, people would just sabbo them all and the killer would be without a power (traps) and having to take everyone to the basement from wherever they got downed on the map.

And yes, some perks are useless or less useful. Both killer and survivor has them.

Wiggling is a joke unless you're far away enough from the hook and people take hits. They're increasing the distance between them I do believe.

Oh, did you join the forums 'cause seeing Legion can see people inside the locker pissed you off? o-o lol

It would also disrupt the game mechanics, what if a killer brought in add ons, then you would just switch to the new add ons when achieved? - It just makes more sense and saves the killer time to get them as a reward at the end, instead of taking up the killer's time during the trial.

With what I was suggesting, a killer wouldn't be able to use the item and it would be a gift box at the end if they were to pip, for instance.

Getting chests as survivor is easy. Why shouldn't it be easy for killers?

Killers have all advantages already, and yes getting chests is easy for survivors, Keeping* them is harder, there's franklin's there's skill checks at the end of items that make you use them or alert the killer, and you must survive to keep the item. So are you saying you just want the devs to give killers free stuff? killers already earn more BPs much easier, just buy your items with your free BPs! lol.

Franklin's means they're wasting a skill; if you can't work around keeping an item and wasting it, you're a potato; or use a ward. I'm not saying that killers should get free things. I'm saying that they should get the chance to obtain/keep items if they win the match and to work in a system to do so (like adding usage to their add-ons). Survivors already can. I think it's ridiculous to be so against it, even if you're the most survivor mains or survivor mains. It isn't freebies.

Or maybe we could get rid of chests for survivors. Would hate for one side to get freebies. :3 Or maybe the only chest is down in the basement. Would hate for it to be too easy.

I heard someone call it an honor code of sorts. Killers don't camp and use NOED and survivors don't do stupid strong window loops every chance they get and run ds. I think bming would also be part of that, like teabagging at pallets and such. I think it's up to the person and I personally avoid getting downed to the best of my ability until the end. If you're first on hook, nothing's to discourage the killer from camping and if you're solo, no one may come until you're second stage anyway.

Even with that said, by being toxic to people who aren't toxic to you, you're justifying them being toxic or you're creating toxicity. Being toxic towards people who didn't do anything to you are just going to annoy them and going to possibly create an us versus them scenario. We shouldn't be tearing each other down. We're playing a game together, just different roles. So, it should be fun for everyone, killer and survivor.

I'm not sure there's much more I could add to that photo than what is evident. It was my son's very first match as the Hillbilly, while I sat behind him trying to give any tips I could. He was level 1, with only tier 1 Enduring, and a crappy add-on to lessen the chainsaw noise. Against that, he faced a SWF, one of whom managed to de-rank himself below rank 15, 3 of whom were running all tier 3 perks. I find that a bit hard to swallow, given we're 1 day before the reset, that none of those three experienced survivors managed to rank up above 12 in a month.

This shouldn't have been a close match, even against Hillbilly. Instead, they managed to do only 2 gens. My son didn't camp the hook unless he was being looped around it, and he didn't "tunnel" unless the last person taken off the hook was the next one found as he searched without any perks to assist him in the hunt (such as BBQ and Chili, Nurse's Calling, Whispers, etc).

He didn't allow the last alive to get the hatch, but managed to down the guy before he could make the escape, though it was very close.

But because people cheat to de-rank themselves to the point of only facing brand new killers, in order to get easy wins and bully the killer during the match, they throw homophobic slurs when they still lose to a competent gamer. Of course, there was no way for my son to know they were more experienced than they ought to be at that rank, particularly this close to the monthly reset, as they were all running the base cosmetics.

What are people brand new to the game supposed to take away from toxic players like this, who try their best to torment and frustrate them as much as possible throughout the game? The killer comes away from those matches either completely frustrated as the experienced survivors endlessly loop and blind them, or they pull out a good win, and face this sort of post-match abuse. Are they likely to keep loading up the game and pushing forward, knowing things are only likely to get harder?

We're back full circle: why should killers play by these made up rules, or "honor system," when the Claudette they're chasing is just as likely a Rank 1, who de-ranked themselves, as a player fairly new to the game like themselves? Why should they play nice when playing nice earns them abuse in the post chat?

As I said before, if you want fewer toxic killers, stick up for the ones who do try to play a fair match. If you want killers to play by your honor system, it's worth offering them some positive response when they do. Because these are the types of things we do see, every day, and you either have a sense of humor about it or you just get sick of it and quit, or quit playing by these "rules."

An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind. Same thing goes with toxicity. If you want to see less of something, you attempt to make yourself an example of the opposite of it. My point being this isn't just survivor "honor system," but killer, too, as there's things that survivors are expected not to do if they're not being toxic. To be nice and so on. It isn't just a one-sided thing. You can say that survivors are the only ones who can be toxic until you're blue in the face, but I'm pretty sure that's what camping and tunneling is. You're ruining the experience for someone else and if that's not toxic, nothing survivors could do naturally in the game is.

Also, the biggest issue in this game is that kids are playing. Children don't know how to react to things and react in negative, childish ways (such as name-calling, etc.).

The majority of players don't like camping but we would need other mechanics to make camping redundant. Your suggestion isn't a solution, sorry. That doesn't mean that you should stop making suggestions if you can come up with good ideas. :)

I'd like to think the majority doesn't like camping but if it's an issue than clearly not enough people dislike it. I don't have any statistics on this, so I'll have to take your word for it.

How is my suggestion not a solution?

Your suggestion is not a solution because:

    • Camping should always be an option for the Killer. Forcing the Killer to give free unhooks only makes hooks even less relevant than they already are.
    • Camping is inherently bad for the Killer, regardless of your excuses that "not everyone plays SWF". Your opponent is doing nothing for two full minutes.
    • It was already tried in the PTB and Survivors abused it.
    • Camping is a symptom; not a problem. Giving a blood transfusion to someone with a severed femoral artery and ignoring the wound is not a solution.
    • Camping is a Survivor-created problem with a Survivor-side solution. Like it or not, camping became widespread due to Survivors rewarding it.

Genuinely I feel like you all 3 are just killer mains. I get that survivors abused a system that attempted to thwart people who use camping.
That's all you needed to say.

I don't agree with you on your other_ opinions_.

The last part, at the very least, is not an opinion. It's a documented fact that anyone who's played the game since release can tell you. Back in the beginning, Survivors knew to rush gens when the Killer was camping. Nowadays, they want to force free unhooks.

By the way, even if the rest are opinions doesn't mean pointing that out makes them invalid. This entire thread is your opinion, but you don't see anyone dismissing it out of hand because of it.

Saying survivors reward camping and it's survivor's fault isn't entirely fair. It's one of the main four categories and survivors typically miss out entirely on one category as survival doesn't reward more than 5k and it rewards nothing if you don't get out. Besides, it isn't hopeful for survivors. If you don't have people on page, you are unlikely to get gens done in time to actually punish that behavior. If you're playing solo, you can't tell everyone you're being camped, so people are wasting time checking. Honestly it's poor gameplay and only rewarded 'cause it's boring. If killer camps, that only leaves survivors with M1ing to victor. There isn't chases, no saves, etc. It also means you're likely getting a bronze in that category and no points unless you farm hits. You also won't get any points towards boldness and could get a bronze or a black pip, depending. Then if you get camped, you're likely not getting much points unless it's done a few generators in or with the doors opened.

Still, I wouldn't say the issue is forcing free hooks. I know how some survivors are entitled, but you also have to realize that that's how they get their points and they may want to make plays to get everyone out or as many as possible.

TLDR; Camping is boring for survivors and you're likely to not get pips or points unless you feed into camping and try to go for save; therefore, not entirely survivor's fault.

I get that camping is boring. Having been on all sides of camping (the one doing the camping, the one being camped, and the one not being camped), I understand that it's boring. It's boring to do, boring to experience, and boring when it's being done to someone else. However, Survivors do reward camping, and it is their fault that Killers do it as often as they do.
When the game was first released, Survivors rushed generators when one of them was being camped. However, they soon started to let their entitlement get to their heads and tried to force unhooks even if the Killer was right there. This meant zero generator progress, and thus more time for the Killer to win. Eventually, Killers realized that they didn't have to go hunting for Survivors all that much - hook one, and the vultures come to you all on their own.
The ones who were camped, rather than blame the people who were actually to blame - the hook vultures - blamed the Killers, which only furthered the vultures' entitlement. After all, if the people whose rounds you're actively ruining are on your side, then surely you must be right.
So yes, it is actually entirely the Survivors' fault. The vultures for, well, being vultures, and the ones who blame Killers who take advantage of the vultures. This is a PvP game; taking advantage of your opponent's mistakes is what you're supposed to do.

Honestly if people were circling me and I died because none of them could get me off and they didn't even attempt to take the killer away, I would blame the survivor. Survivors looping around the hooked survivor or farming the survivor is the survivor's fault, not the killer. The most they can do is react to the situation. While it's nice when they just down you and show some sympathy, I don't really expect it. Having stupid teammates is part of playing survivor sometimes. It's to be expected.

I still don't think it's entirely the Survivors' fault. As I had previously said, the points would discourage you from not going for the save and sometimes them 'punishing' the camp doesn't even work as they don't get the gens done in time. This is a PvP game, not a PvE. So, someone camping effects the game experience of another person. A person is unlikely to get all that much points if they're camped, unless it's further into the game or at the end with the doors opened. There really isn't anything stopping a killer from camping if he caught a survivor with 5 gens remaining and I think it shouldn't just be a benefit/benefit for the killer to camp. It should be a tactical choice they make that might negatively affect their points. I've had people tell me they camp to make sure they pip and I don't think camping should give you pips as there isn't much challenge to that sort of gameplay.

  • @Tiersis said:
There is a perk to show you when the killer is camping. Drop your DS and use it.

Sometimes you really want to get rid of a super annoying player who was also playing like an asshat. It happens. For me, its usually whoever has Decisive Strike.

No, don't make the progress bar stop if killer is near, because tryhard survivors always rush the hook, and would just do that to keep you near it.

Why should we have to run really far away and give you a freebie unhook? Play the game, earn it.

Currently balance in the game needs to be set as if all 4 players were coordinated and on voice chat at all times, until they give us a "Join Solo Queue" option that lets us only play against non SWF groups.

If I have to put up with bully BS from 4 man SWF groups, sorry, you've gotta put up with my assumptions that you're likely part of a SWF group, otherwise its not fun for me, and I won't play.

I get that 4/5 players are survivors, but that doesn't mean the killer has to clench up and grab his/her ankles every time just cause you don't know enough to do a gen while someones camping.

Just drop DS. I wouldn't say use Kindred. It's cool, but if you have to show people you're being camped, that means your being camped. If you're having issues with being camped, run perks that will better help you avoid the killer or run the killer around.

    I agree, that isn't a good thing.

Are you suggesting the best gameplay is to camp or saying that in regards to people who run at the hook when the killer is still nearby? For camping, you're wasting your time and creating a boring experience that either the survivors feed into, get everyone killed, but get their points. Or they don't and don't get points or pips. You know we lose points for leaving people on the hook, right? And if we get no beneficence because the hooked survivor had a friend who really didn't wanna leave, we're out of luck. Survivors already get less points than killer. We have a whole category that we only get 5k and we don't even get that if we happen to die ever.

The people who camp still does it for solo que. They do it for bad players, too, or nontoxic players. It makes no difference.

Once again, not that simple if you want a pip or points or if you have empathy and feel bad for them. It sucks leaving with just 1k if not less. The survivor was caught, but it isn't their fault that the killer decided to camp or that survivors decided to farm them. There's so much that survivors don't have any control over and you get so much more points as killer. Even when you have a bad match.

SWF should not be able to see eachothers auras. For example if it is a 4 man SWF and one gets downed no one should be able to see the aura, you wanna know why? They can talk to eachother and they can tell the others where they are. I don't think this is being unfair seeing as they can still communicate and have no hinderance other than they cant see eachother when they are downed/hooked. People who are not in the SWF group will be unnafected. This will slow down the gen rush when facing them since they have to find the person downed/hooked and prevent some lobby dodges, not prevent a lot, but some. Hiding the end game screen was a big step in the right direction, and if this idea or some form of it were to be impleted, this could be another good step in balancing SWF. (Note: Hooked SWF players cannot see other SWF player auras.)

    That would create hilarious situations.
"I was left next to that thing."
    "...what thing?"
"You know, THE thing by that other thing."

That would probably be hard to implement, though, and I feel other nerfs would be a better idea. Like if they're SWF, they can't use the same perks.

  • Not every killer will tunnel or camp and not every teammate will farm and kill off their team for points, but it's safe to assume they will until shown otherwise. I would say it's be good to look at your pathing, see what's around you. If there's a pallet, attempt to run in a way that will lead the killer to it, even if the killer is heading from that direction. Also, there are perks that will help you know when the killer is coming and also perks to help you find teammates. As awful as it sounds, there is a chance the person you're working on the gen with will get the aggro instead of you. If you can't run the killer reliably, practice. It's part of the game. Stealth can also help you and there's perks to help with that.

I would say play around with perks until you find something you like. I've been having multiple games (around rank 10) where people DC and so on, but still got a decent amount of points. Given I'm usually in the red ranks and took a short break from the game, leading me to be around rank 15 when I got back (also my laptop was in the shop QQ), but every rank has poor play. If you're finding you're dying every game and not getting a lot of points, don't bring in items or offerings and let it happen. Eventually may find the ranking suit you better.

  • A lot of times a DC in the loading screen is because of lag, which we shouldn't punish. Not their fault. DCing at start of match is a whole nother thing.

I've recently started to really like Dwight and Bill. They seem like good luck charms for me. I like to run non-meta perks like Alert, Spine Chill, and Botany. Once I unlock Aftercare that will be part of my standard build.

Someone adorable I know mained Dwight for a while, so I grew fond of him. He just reminds me of an adorable puppy, kinda. Nea and Feng are cool. c: I played Claudette, too, when I first started. She has all the perks from back when I used her, though I've gotten some new characters sense then, I think. Aftercare is quite nice! I usually run bond and iron will. The other two depends on my mood.

Lol. People are praising devs for removing something they should not have put in a game in a first place.

    Like SWF.

They put in SWF because there was a demand for it. There's many that got into DBD to play with friends and there's many that would leave if SWF was removed. It wouldn't be a good thing for the game's community to take a huge hit like that. It'd honestly be better to balance the game around SWF than to just remove it.

They actually recently came out and said SWF was always intended and wasn't added because of demand.

And i always think people who constantly complain about SWF are just bad at the game anyway, they are still kill able, just because that one survivor that looped you the entire game is in an SWF doesn't mean he wouldn't have ruined you in a solo match.

    Too many bad players.

You got that backwards … people who play in groups are bad at the game. That's why they group together. Their strength is in their numbers, not their skill. It's why they ALWAYS disconnect then they are given a taste of their own medicine. They are the reason killers camp. I wasn't singling out you, but clearly I hit a nerve. Solo players are much better then SWF players.

You can't talk about a group of people and use words like "always" and generalizations like that. SWF can be annoying if they're the bullying, toxic sort, but not all are toxic and not all are bullies. Honestly having rank "20" SWF who clearly aren't rank 20 are more of a reason for killers camping and that's related to cheating, smurfing and deranking. Killers aren't allowed to freely practice the game without getting paired with people who are looking to bully and pick on. I honestly do both solo and SWF 'cause I like playing with friends and chit chatting and stuff. I'm not the toxic sort, though. I don't teabag and I often play worse in a group 'cause I'm talking or a little more relaxed. With solo, you don't know if you'll be saved, so you try to avoid getting caught. When you're playing with a friend, at least they might get out.

It is the majority of SWF players that do it. Especially in the lower ranks. I'm talking rank 10 and below. It's really bad and I play survivor main. I apologize if I offended you or your play by my comments. That was not my intention.

No, you're fine. You're just expressing a perspective. I personally think the issue is that they get away with it and not them being SWF. That sort of stuff is probably hard to regulate, though. I can understand how draining it could be to get a lot of toxic players who seem to have an upper hand 'cause they're on coms. I heard somewhere that SWF is typically more altruistic and there's always a weaker one among them. Since I'm nothing but a newbie killer, I don't know how to deal with them, but I see a lot of guides online with good tips on how to play tiles and also how to play against SWF.

There is always one good one among them. That player is typically the ones that lead the killer on an endless journey to uninstall the game while the other two work on gens. If you're not in that group and you get hooked, chances are they're not coming for you. That's not all the time, but it happens a lot. Or they intentionally lead the killer to you to save their friend. Again, not all the time, but a lot.

Being able to chat fundamentally changes the game on both sides … and it should be separate. At least w/ F13, they did it correctly. Chat was there, it was up to you to use it. Here, you're mixing chat and non chat and it's counter-productive.

I'll say a lot of times it's the nice one that gets camped, too, if people are being toxic and they just happen to catch you. xD I honestly think the survival points should be reworked to reward everyone getting out so that you don't get people not caring (as much at least) if no one but them get out. I see this from DS users a lot. They'll gloat over being the only one to exit out the hatch or out the door and it's like "that's not a win, though" and there has literally been matches where nearly everyone got out, but then NOED and instead of trying to get saves or totem, he runs out like a puppy with his tail between his legs.

Well, they need to implement for talking features for solo play and balance killer around that tbh. That's one of the weaker parts of solo play. You don't want to get downed 'cause you can't say "come for me." Flailing your arm could mean anything. Features and what could be done has been discussed. It's just a matter of them seeing it and doing something with people's ideas.

I agree with that. It really should be all or nothing. Meaning chat for all or separate it. I'm all for using a button for quick chat, however the killer should be able to hear it in order for it to be fair. It's a tough call to make. You are drastically changing the dynamic of the game when you introduce chat. F13 stopped being fun and more importantly scary when people were just saying stupid things to Jason and he would play along. Which never happens here. Ever.

This game can be terrifying to play. I had a few matches against Myers last night where there were legit jump scares. That would never happen if players could tell me he was coming. Some people need that info. Me, I prefer the challenge of not knowing where the killer is and having to survive by instinct. The tension is real. Which SWF does not offer at all. It's easy mode vs hard.

However, players knowing what to do without communication was always something I really loved about the game. It's what drew me to it. Of course there are some people who take the win too seriously and won't help out enough, but generally most get it without a mic. I would rather they offer two separate modes and that way everyone is happy. Until dedicated servers are ready, SWF can also play hell with matchmaking.

Well, I mean more in the terms of what Identity V does where you can send text messages to the others, but nonverbal communication options are good, too. I'll be real, I don't want to hear a 10 year old screeching in my ear while I'm playing. I say it more because it's hard to communicate specific things to other survivors if you aren't on comms and can often be your downfall. I kinda wish you could reset the hex totem once it's found if there's totems left. I feel that would be a good way to address SWF telling their friends where it is.

Do you ever SWF? Like half the time they won't even mention when the killer leaves them. I forget, too. I have perks to detect that. It can get quite spooky, though. And quite thrilling and tense. It isn't always easy mode. If you're playing with the best of the best, sure it could be easy, but everyone makes mistakes and killer is in a good spot to capitalize on those mistakes. It'd be awesome if survivors got more complex tasks, though, as objectives. Gens are boring.

Honestly what drew me in was that I like spooky things and it looked like a lot of fun to run around, solo or with friends. I actually watched someone stream it for about a year before I caved and bought it 'cause I really wanted to play it and they made it look like so much fun. I think it'd be better to buff solo play so that it's as good as swf and buff killers so that they can address both. We also need to nerf some things about SWF like how it rounds out the numbers and maybe address the use of perks within the group.

I know, F13 on PS4 was squeaker central ... Every public match we'd get at least one and since DBD was free to over 30 million subscribers on Plus it would be a ######### show. The price you pay for being on the #1 platform I guess. Lots of kiddies.

I have played SWF and it reminded me of F13. It's not scary at all. It can be fun. Which is why I would like to see two separate modes. It's probably why they haven't made any changes … they understand this will change their game forever moving forward.

I think this game could use multiple game modes, tbh. Something to do if you're bored of the typical play that'll you'll still get points with.

You mean the closest to rank 1, right? I agree.

  • I think it would be interesting to have some natural debuffs for when you're injured as a survivor.
I don't like the SC change, tbh. I don't usually run SC (I run bond and iron will instead) and having them be even slower would be kinda annoying. May even put people who don't run the perk into a situation where they need to 'cause no one's healing other people. I don't really think the game needs SC without a perk, though. It's already quite strong, we should be looking at ways to limit it ever so slightly imo.

That was back when the game was only on PC and before it became a toxic shitshow. They don't have to remove it. Just give them their own mode separate from solo so the rest of us can enjoy the game.

The trade off for getting rid of them is enticing new players who won't be turned off within the first 5 minutes of playing against them.

You're talking as if every SWF is toxic and super good at the game. It'd be better if they balanced the game around it imo. Like limit skills and items and so on.

I wasn't sure. Too many people treat it as a bug, when clearly it's not. Whether it was intended or due to demand, they can put what they would like into their game. Since, you know, it's theirs. The game would take a massive hit if it didn't allow SWF. Goofing off and being dumb together is part of the appeal. Not everyone wants to have serious games 100% of the time. Playing DBD with friends is appealing and not just for trolling and bullying.

  • Yeah, I've been having issues with DCs, too. Not sure why.

My prediction: SC goes back to normal. No one will bother to heal. Everyone will use SC.

    Pretty good job.

Buffing the most used survivor perk further won't solve anything. Looks like the survivor favoritism is back again.

I don't think it's favoritism, but a misguided perspective on the team format. The only people who are going to take issue with this (probably) are those not running SC. SC can be an issue as you can run around and heal as you go, wake yourself as you run around, etc., but there's better tweaks that could be made.

I kinda wish it was a prolonged totem that resets if you move and doesn't have skill checks. It'd be an inadvertent buff to Freddy. If there needs to be skill checks, I still wish it reset if you move.

Those have to do with each other. Ruin and BBQ are different ball fields.
I think the issue many take with it is WGLF is a purely farming perk. It has absolutely no other use than to gain points and you're not even gonna get those stacks. It's very situational, as others have said.

  • If you find killer difficult, maybe you could try playing a couple of matches as survivors to figure out what your opponent may do or watch some guides on how to play killer more efficiently (as a newbie). I will say there's a lot of toxic SWF rank "20" survivors at those higher ranks, but you can still get quite a bit of points if you put pressure on the gens and the people doing them. If the loops are weak over by a particular gen, you can easily get some survivors down and that's a lot better than being lead around by someone who's delegated as the run around man. Just let him/her follow you around if he chooses to. Waste their time.

I'm considering myself "survivor main at heart". I'm really playing killer most of the time though. One, for those sweet blood points (esp. with BBQ&C), and second killer is sadly a so much better experience without friends to survive with. I'm still rather survivor-sided even as killer. And the vast majority of the bloodpoints I earn with killers go into my survivors.

I like Claudette, Nea, Kate and Jeff the most. I have the former three maxed out with all perks I've unlocked on them, I'm currently still leveling up Jeff (got a good build on him, but want him maxed out as well). Also have Min leveled up a bit more seriously and will probably level her further after Jeff.

I feel you on the blood points, but higher ranks and solo play can be fun as survivor. You just need to eye out your team and be careful not to be the first one down. If you are and you're camped/never rescued, just go onto the next match. c: It's sad survivor typically doesn't get as many points as killer (we have a category we could only get realistically 5k if even that in), but team play can be a lot of fun. It stinks when someone rage quits over something silly like ruin or a missed ds, though.

They are hanging on the basements hooks waiting for you to join them  ;)

Oh, I thought I saw you down there, too.

It's weird when someone with a lot of skill and a lot of hours magically end up never leaving rank 20.
I know someone who admitted they cheated to achieve that. Is there any way to detect such things?

I heard of a way to set your rank from 1 to 20 on console, not sure if its still possible though

Someone I used to play told me he did that. He told another friend to not d/c and just cheat, but surely there has to be something that can be done to detect such things. It ruins the experience for newbie killers.

Cheating can get your account instantly perma banned while DCing will only get you a short bann after you reached an absurd, stable high DC rate.

Honestly, ruin the experience of all the newbi killers. At some point they will realize that they cant play without killers^^

That's only if they catch them, though. :/ I have a feeling that they're getting away with it and that's why they do it. I know DBD has had an issue with cheating for a while. Like you those ones that tell you where the killer is.

  • I'm for this. It isn't fair to killers that survivors can ghost them like that. If doing it only for SWF is too complicated, we could always just do it for everyone. So that if someone wants to see the perks, they'll have to wait until everyone is out.

Lol i sometimes bring a green key with no addons just to troll the killer. 😂

I've seen someone bring a green/purple key with just prayer beads, lmao.

Trying to find your lost key is basically finding a needle in the hay

    Yeh, good counter.

  • Jokes on you! It's a green key.
Seriously, though. Just bring Frankies. It's funny watching them try to find it.

  • I'm okay with this and the nurse wouldn't be so painful without the perk, then.

  • Edgy kids are edgy. They're probably just acting out for attention or because they get away with it. Pretty sure it's against the rules to cuss people out in end chat.

  • Boosted survivors are what you want. xD It helps you win.
