SO that competent SWF can bully every killer then? Sounds like utopian "balance" indeed

Nope, utopian means ideal so the generator rework is already in effect, all killer's are balanced, perks are balanced, and... basically there's nothing wrong with the game. How would bring Nurse down to a reasonable level? I'm curious because the community wants to nerf her when the time comes.

You need to be a bit more precise when you are talking about a "generator rework".
Dedicated servers shouldnt affect the balance at all if executed properly, but in reality they will be a killer nerf

Killer nerf if you use lag switches to get your kills.

I can see the genrush SWF farming BP already.....

Also you gotta be careful with this, Id like to remind you about the 200% WGLF

It may not be a bad idea to have the points be affected by how many gets out, though. So many people act like it's a win when they camp the hatch and then escape when it isn't. If your points get affected by people being alive, you may care if someone other than you escapes.
  • Honestly it should be reworked to match the emblem. If you get out without getting drowned, you get full points. Otherwise it's dependent on how long you lived throughout the trial.

I think the problem is that wglf is a much more prominent and widely used perk. It seems very rare that someone who isn’t Adam is actually running it, unlike wglf which is both common for Davids but other heroes too.

Not to mention wglf is much more lenient so more people would take that over a perk that requires certain conditions and if hooked first is immediately voided.
    HEROES lol
  • If you're running to get the first save, and someone else is right there with you, and you don't have Deliverance, back off. No, you don't know whether that person has Deliverence and is scrambling for points, but you know you don't have it, so please step aside for that first save. Go do a gen or help heal the person who just got unhooked, otherwise the perk is wasted. The reward from Deliverance helps the ENTIRE group later when everyone needs to be doing gens or healing up, and they don't have the time or health to come save.
Two people shouldn't be running to the hook in the first place. The same could be said (and even more so) if the person had we'll make it. And if the coordination is off enough that two people are running to the hook, it's likely they're still gonna try to come even with your deliverance, wasting time. It's more important to go if the person's open and help heal if you happen to come along with someone. No one has the right to call dibs. No one is entitled to a save.

It really amuses me how disconnected some people seem to be from the actual game. Also how biased some people are. So funny to read some of these comments. There's a couple of OP things in this game now.

DS, Adrenaline(Only With SWF), BOrrowed Time, do however enjoy the change to BT since it punishes tunnel/camp even more so now. And No After the Exhaustion nerf none of them are OP. Same goes for Healing nerf, Self care is not OP. No matter what you say. Stop calling other survivor perks OP Killers. Theyre simply not. The game is the most balanced it's been since i started playing it over a year ago.

Yes a good organized SWF is really good. But so is a well played killer. (With aurareadings and whatnot.)

Exhaustion Addons(After the Exhaustion nerf i feel like these are way to strong.), NOED, EBONY MORI, SPIRIT, NURSE, BBQ('cause closets are #########)

SLOPPY BUTCHER(Id rather take 40 sec extra per gen then sloppy any day of the week. Sloppy is SO BORING gameplay. Please put this back to the point it was before)

Maybe u are the one who is disconnected from the game. Or maybe you are simply not honest.

U say DS is not op? Borrowed or (un)balanced landing aren't? Maybe u're right, but the truth is that best killer perks are always counterable (for example Ruin, which is too easy to find and destroy), instead most of survivor's perks are uncounterable. And its only one of the advantages the survs have (like the hatch, for example). Everyone is blaming the survivor nerfs and bla bla bla but there is not enough nerf when u have a broken mode like swf, that allows you to have IN GAME advantages with OFF GAME devices.

This is not balancing, whatever your opinion is.

    Since of the counters:
DS you can dribble or leave on ground
BT you can wait out the BT time or just not camp and put on something like MYC to find savior after save
Balance landing is only used once and you can mind game it, depending on the situation.

And you're talking from the stand point that the survivors find the hex. I've had games where no one found the ruin and you also have perks you can put with it to protect it.

Dribbling only prolongs the inevitable, in the end you will have to eat the DS anyway.
You cant wait BT out anymore, just like the legion power.
You can use balanced landing as many times as you wish, it just has a short cooldown.

After some time you learn the totem spots and its not that difficult to find them, but the sad part is that you can simply power through ruin too

I don't like DS either. The users tend to think they're hot ######### when in reality they aren't that great. Needs to be changed imo to affect other things like chases, etc. I know the thing is that Laurie stabbed Michael to get away, but it could affect something that isn't so game changing and have a cool down.

Until they change it otherwise, pretty sure you can. BT doesn't work half the time anyway. You just don't hit them for 30 seconds. Pretty sure they said it wasn't against the rules.

You need something to jump from. If you can't get to something, you can't use the perk. Some maps don't even have fall spots. The cooldown just means they may get it once per chase and only if they can make it to a drop point and sometimes you can even cut off the drop point if you foresee a balanced landing. Just has to do with mind games.

I don't know. I've been to talk one and there's plenty who stuck at ruin checks.

If you haven't played survivor before, I would suggest giving it a try. You can't really accurately talk about balance until you take both sides into account.

    Here

Hey! Who do you main? C:

    Hello Feng min main here

    She's very cool. <3
  • If we want to end some toxic behavior I suggest the devs implement these perks.

    KILLER PERK
Blood Rage- "watching your prey mock you fills you with rage to kill"
When a survivor stays within 7m of you (while you are not moving) for 3s you get a token for this perk (max 6)
    1,2. -/-/move 20% faster
    3,4.-/perform actions 20/25% faster.
5,6.-/-/survivors suffer the broken and hindered status effects.

    SURVIVOR PERK
Transference- "You are willing to help others as much as possible, even if it becomes a detriment to you." spend 10s/5s/instantly heal another survivor one level at the cost of becoming injured (cannot be used if already injured)
Something like that is likely hard to implemented.

Bond, spine chill / prem, iron will, we'll make it / balanced landing / quick and quiet / borrowed / we're gonna live forever / urban evasion

    It's usually fine.

I agree that loading into 3 vs. 1 matches isn't exactly pleasant. It also happens too often for my liking, especially after this most recent patch. However, I do believe that the developers are looking into it by trying to gather logs from people who are experiencing the infinite loading screen glitch which is a primary cause for these types of matches being so prevalent.

One thing I respectfully disagree with is your choice to disconnect when you load into a 3 vs. 1 match. When you disconnect, you essentially destroy any possibility the other survivors have of escape or at least getting a safety pip, and you assure the killer an easy victory. Just keeping the killer distracted for a little bit by getting into a chase and choosing to die on the hook is better for your team and will not give you the double depip and chance of ban that disconnecting will. Although it is indeed harder to accomplish, I've been in several 3 vs. 1 matches that all of the survivors were able to escape, and it is entirely possible if a team is proficient enough at doing generators and keeping the killer busy.

To be honest I don't D/C half as much as my.angry post made it sound like I do lol

I play if I get one, and it sucks because it feels like I'm forced to do it. The devs basically say "play this or D/C and lose 2 pips". Thats what bugs me, that you either have to play an unfair game or get punished for it.

I d/c when I keep getting them. Which seems common at the moment given all the loading screen crashes people are getting.

Plus what normally happens is someone else goes down then they d/c anyway because they feel hard done by, so then its 2 on 1 and you havr to d/c anyway.

Basically it just gets stupid. If they just gave survivors bonus points like what killers get it wouldn't be as bad. Give survivors an incentive to play rather than just knocking off 1 gen

If it turns into a two verses ones, I try to find the killer to see if he wants to play around, though only if no gens were done and it was at the start.

in my opinion. 3v1 is still FAIR. (but your mates can suicide...) buuut 2V1 and 1v1 is ridiciolous! Yesterday I was playing on Susie 1v1 and she spelled "ezzzz"

Many people who play Survivor feel the same way. @Tsulan in particular, if memory serves, prefers 3v1 because it's tense and mistakes actually matter since there's nobody to save your ass if you screw up.

You mean one of the biggest killer mains with a persecution complex on the forum defends 3 vs 1 games?

    Well imagine my shock.
    Uhm...
I like 3vs1 matches as survivor. Because that match is hard and every decision could mean the end. If you think that makes me killer biased, than that's your problem.

As killer I usually go softer on 3vs1, because many survivors fear the challenge and disconnect. I guess you're one of them. But I don't blame you. When the easy mode suddenly turns hard, it's to much for many.
No killer bias in that post, not at all. The fact that you had to throw in a salty comment like "the easy mode" says it all.

I try to do some but in general you get that many these days that no it isn't worth it. If it's the odd occasion I can put up with them but when it's multiple in one night its just boring. Especially not when its a 3 vs 1 because someone dropped out due to a mori being used. 3 survivors vs an ebony mori....thats about the kind of balance killer mains like you want. Bet they still cry about the hatch though.
Survivor has always been the easy mode. Because the workload is shared among the others. No survivor has to complete 5 gens and loop the killer for 5 minutes. Those tasks are split between 4 players. Or in the case of a 3vs1, 3 players. That's what I'm referring to.

There was nothing said about Moris. So I guess you'd prefer to disconnect in that situation instead of playing the harder game.

Some of the most memorable matches i had as survivor, have been where someone disconnected.
There is no better feeling than escaping when all odds are against you.
Dark Souls has quite some fans, because it's unforgiving and hard. But maybe you prefer other games.
Let me get this straight, it's "easy mode" 'cause you don't need to solo everything. It would be impossible to both run around the killer and do gens, so your point is moot. Survivor is just a different gameplay mode. You have to rely on teammates. You don't as killer. Your game could go south real quick and you have little to no control over it. Teammate body blocks you? Down. Someone farms you? Oh well. No one comes for you? Oops, I guess?

I had a challenging match against an infinite tier three Myers. I was able to get the slug up, but pretty sure we both died in the end. People let him feed to early on and didn't notice. DC matches tend to just be meh. Uneventful. I never assume I'll get out, especially when solo, but that's even more true with DCs. If I get out, my team was competent or the killer was nice. If I don't, hopefully i got enough points.
  • NOED tends to be relied on by bad killers to get last minute hooks. I've had games where everyone would have gotten out, but only one did cause of NOED. MYC and Haunted grounds are both temporary and there needs to be some sort of play to set it off.

I think it makes people angry cause they may not see it coming, possibly? I usually just try to get all the toems if I feel a NOED coming or I run to get the totem after it goes off if i remember seeing any or have an idea where it is. It can really turn the game around for someone who wasn't doing so great, though.
  • This game will always and forever cater to survivors. And if you don't believe me then think upon this, why do survivors tbag at exit gates, behind pallets, behind a vault location, on top of hills, 2nd story houses, visibly across the map, while unhooking another survivor (if another is nearby), safely run out exit gate doing a conga-line (preventing hits).

You're right. More killers should be able to teabag, too! :c
  • Survivors are really rude players. They are toxic and full of #########. what's the point of Tbagging each time you through a pallet? I really don't understand why they keep tbagging for no reason?

The only reason I think they keep do that because of the overpower they have and they are confident that they will leave at least one of them. so they become rude and try to tease the killer. I really hope the developers try to find a way or a perk to make them stop doing that.

Not all survivors are rude or toxic. Also the duo that to taunt and get you on them 'cause they're distracting while teammates work on gens. They know it'll make you mad and want to kill them.

Quentin main here c: (with crutch perks, lol)

I only use self care every so often. My typical build includes bond and iron will. The rest depends on my mood. We'll make it, urban evasion, quick and quiet, borrowed time, balanced landing, unbreakable, we're gonna live forever, distraction, sometimes sabo, and that cat one that tells you the killer is looking at you. I'm okay at running the killer around and all right away losing them. Living isn't super important to me either. I just like having fun.
  • SURVEILLANCE! <-------Forcing myself to take this thing match after match I gotta say. This is legitimately the WORST PERK IN THEEEE GAAAAAME! Fix it! Why would you give Legion a perk that works like what surveillance should have been.....

What gives @devs Why is this perk useless. Of all the tracking perks this one doesn't even register as useful....I walk away from a gen, its white, few seconds later, its red, walk back to the gen.....OH ITS STILL SPARKING I JUST WASTED MY TIME....what even is this perk....

Yeah, it's really bad. I hope they buff it.
  • As a survivor who gets to higher ranks a lot, you don't see it that much at all. There's a lot of challenging and fun matches against really good killers, though.
  • Just because you don't see the survivor, doesn't mean you should assume they're nearby. I would say it's better to put pressure on the map than sit down and have tea with the hooked survivor.

As for the statements about information, I have no idea what that's supposed to mean. Survivors use perks for information, too, and it isn't false info to not see survivors. It's possible, even before the nerfs, that they had just came closer briefly to then turn around and run off. If you're wanting information, there's better perks for that. BBQ can be good for a general idea where people are and help locating survivors, but it's also for double blood points.
  • I like all of them! They make good ornaments for my hooks.
  • Dead by Daylight is a game where playing the survivors is less stressful than playing the killer. That should not be the case.
If your team sucks, that is often the opposite. There's more people needed for the survivor role, though. I don't think we actually wanna make it too unappealing and stressful. It should be fun for both sides
  • I haven't had an issue with people blocking the hook. Sometimes you'll get smurfs who will green rush, teabag, run you around in circles, and then go "gg ez" at the end, but that's the worse I've come across. Baby Nurse also has it rough. I honestly don't care if people block the hook.

    Abused how?

How do you think a dodge feature would be abused? Think about it for a second.

Well isn't that the thing for killers now? They just dodge the lobby if they see more than one P3 Claudette let alone steam accounts. lol

I really don't see how is this going to be abused by survivors unless you really know this killers plays a certain way you dislike or else why would you dodge them?

    Yeah I'd like that, too.
If you meet toxic ppl and don't want to play with them you should be able to avoid that.
I do have encountered two survivor + killer duos that always get everyone killed in the first few minutes of the game and start farming afterwards. I got them more then once only good I can at least see the survivor names to avoid them but I've ran into the same killers with other friends. Would be easier to avoid those killers (and all the tunneling camping one's that never play fair) by seeing their names.
If you block him, it'll kick you from his lobby pretty sure.

  • I'm talking about Survivors of course. I've been playing a couple of games tonight as Solo Survivor and I honestly have [BAD WORD] had it with my fellow Survivors.

5 games had bad Killers who couldn't catch Survivors for #########, but still, the Killers ended up with 3-4 kills each round even though at the time of the Exit Gates becoming powered, there were still 3-4 alive.

I don't understand how you guys have the audacity to complain about how difficult your Survivor life if you throw games as soon as you get downed, don't cleanse totems and get caught by NOED or are so immensely altruistic that instead of just getting the [BAD WORD] out and sacrifice one of your team mates, you hang around for desperate unhook attempts that more often than not end with another 1-2 dead Survivors in the end.

I'd really prefer it if you guys could man up a bit, grow a pair, make the game more enjoyable for the Solos so that we don't have to hope "please don't be another group of idiots, please not another bunch of stupid Survivors" each and every single game we play.

It's no surprise that the average game ends with 2.5 dead Survivors if you guys practically [BAD WORD].

Nice generalizing. This definitely applies to the concerns of all survivors and how all survivors play. Also by playing survivor, you are in turn a stupid survivor. Congrats.

    Camping for bodyblocking the hook.

They are only excuses, everyone play like as he want and camping is totally garbage.

    Camping for Dwight
    Camping for Meg
    Camping for Friday
  • Nah, they'll camp regardless. If you're catchable and if they camp, they will. Doesn't matter if you teabagged or just ran around normally.
  • @Dead_by_David
Yes your right. you cant patch peoples attitudes. i just hope that players that do get reported for these kinda stuff actualy gets some sort of penelty or ban. Also a way to inactive the chat or disable it afterwards the game cuz 90% of the cases its just throwing ugly words both ways from both the killer and the survivors. I dont need to talk to my enemy/enemies after the game theres no point in that.

I wouldn't consider it as enemies, really. It's like people playing tag or hide and seek. You're just playing a game together. It's an opportunity to display good sportsmanship, gg and all that. You get those kinds of childish behavior in games like this, though. Don't think about it too much. They're probably quite unhappy to try to belittle someone like that. You could always leave immediately if most of your games are toxic, but if they are, maybe you should ask why.
  • I feel you. Everyone needs to spread love and cheer. No need for unnecessary taunting and rudeness.

Object of obssesion needs to be disabled in swf. This is non negotiable. Having a uav detailing the movements of the killer is utter nonsense. Penalties should be put on gen progression as standard with swf on account of removing all ambiguity over who is and isnt being chased the current position of a killer and gen progress across the map.

As for the op i have played solo survivour as standard. I dont need adreanline, ds, comms or instas to have a stress free game just map knowledge good looping and a tempered altruism. For every bad game i had where i was facecamped and tunneled i had survivours pull off acts of impresive altruism without shocker coms.

Swf is a crutch and should be relegated to casual play not ranked. Playing well in a com team is not as impressive as playing without coms and using keen awareness to know what you need to be doing.

DBD is a casual, party game. It isn't a tournament. Those kinds of games are hard to balance properly and most people play the game for fun, be it alone or with friends. I honestly die more with friends as sometimes we're chitchating. I wouldn't say it's a clutch.

I will say something about solo play is to expect not to be saved and figure selfish players. Some will be really awesome and look out for you, but most of the time they don't care if it's farming you or leading the killer to you. I've had so many times that my solo teammates both sat on a gen instead of go for save.

Both modes are fun, though. If people aren't allowed to play together, they'll dodge until they get their friends and i'm sure you wouldn't actually like that.

I will say tweaks to make it more even is more than welcome (like no items, one perk per group, hidden end game into), but it would hurt the game if you got rid of swf or moved it to a non rank section. Rank really doesn't show anything as is, anyway. Just that high play a lot in most cases.
  • like if one gen need doing only two ppl left one person hooked and killed not we’re near them but you find the hatch still okay to let them die
i mean is it oaky to let you hole team die just so you can escape via hatch
I still go for them until either of us are dead. It's more fun than hatch camping to try sneaking in for a quick save/ heal.
  • I have a friend who tunnels Ace every time he sees him, he hates the character. Me I don't like Dwights, they're silly, stupid, and arrogant. If you want my attention, you won't get it, I'll kill you last because you're the least useful member of your team, everyone wants you to succeed so you won't. But I will say, if you're Nea and you're nice I'll probably let you go because she's my favorite Survivor.

I have an adorable friend who mains Dwight, so I've come to like that character. I don't like Claudettes cause I've been farmed by way too many. Kate's my main, so I like most Kates until they do something annoying. I also like Nea and Meg, so same for them.

I've noticed that if I'm with other survivors and the killer find us, if I'm playing Jeff he almost always chases me first.

Now, Jeff is a big guy. Makes me wonder, would killers unconsciously go after the bigger targets first, like Jeff and David, leaving the smaller ones to be less likely to be chased?

    Curious.

It's definitely because of the crush they have on him. They want his autograph~
  • Or they could reduce the rarity. It doesn't feel like a pink add-on as is.

Hi dirty generator touching survivor main here :)
Hey! C: Which character do you tend to main? I really like Kate.

  • There was a good idea I saw a while back. Survivors in swf can only use one of the perks. So, though wouldn't get a swf with multiple ds, for instance. I like the hidden load out idea, though. It isn't fair that the killer can get his perks mentioned.

So, we've all heard the complaints about tunneling and camping. As a killer main, I don't camp unless the exit gates are open, and I try not to tunnel if it can be avoided.

While filming a video getting all the Adept killer achievements, I ran a Hag game, which I've included below, minus my commentary. What you'll see is the following kill / hook order:

    1. Down and hook Meg.
    2. Kate saves Meg.
    3. Down and hook Kate.
    4. Kate uses Deliverance to unhook herself.
    5. Down and hook Kate.
    6. Nea saves Kate.
    7. Down Kate, but leave her to be picked up.
    8. Down and hook Nea (dead).
    9. Down and hook Meg (dead).
    10. Down and hook Kate (dead).
    11. Down and hook David (dead).

After the match, Kate stuck around to give me the following message:

"tunneling ######### i hope you choke on your dads dick you worthless [BAD WORD], go apologize to the trees for wasting the oxygen they work so hard for your pathetic excuse for an existence. [BAD WORD] #########." (sic)

Now, keep in mind, I was doing Adept, so I could only use the Hag's teachable perks. I didn't tunnel Meg when she was unhooked, I wouldn't have double-hooked Kate, but no one pulled her off. I left Kate to be picked up despite being able to kill her after she was saved by Nea. Kate was the second to last to die.

All things considered, I don't feel like I did anything wrong. You could say using Mint Rag and Rusty Shackles constitutes "camping" if I always port back to the hook when the save is made, but I never re-hooked anyone who was already injured aside from when Kate unhooked herself with Deliverance and there wasn't a different target to chase.

So, why exactly should killers bother to try to play by survivor "rules" for what's "fair" or "not toxic?"

    image

Well that Kate was the only one getting tunneled after getting off the hook. Everything else was fairplay.
Maybe she took it personal being the only one tunneled and then after being on her second hook and unhooked you went for her first if I got that right.

If I'd see that happening in a game I'd probably asked you what the Kate did that you tunneled her (might have seemed like s.th personal?). So yeah I can understand that she complained. But I understand that after playing fair most of the time her reaction seems wrong.
    I understand both sides.

At least there is no need for that to happen again since you seem to be one of those rare ppl playing killer that know what fair play is and you got your trophies already.

Considering her reaction, she had it coming tbh
