Honestly in that situation, I'd be more pissed at my team for not picking me up. I would have recognized you were being nice. Some people feel entitled to a win and some will troll them if you go easy or go hard. That's how life is. I'd say do what you feel is right and treat others the way you would like to be treated. I prefer challenging and fun matches. The rush of nearly avoiding a good nurse is the best for instance. I play for fun and for points, so that's also how I approach when I play against survivors. I personally don't find camping fun and I don't find tunneling all that appealing, either.Crizpen said:So, we've all heard the complaints about tunneling and camping. As a killer main, I don't camp unless the exit gates are open, and I try not to tunnel if it can be avoided.
While filming a video getting all the Adept killer achievements, I ran a Hag game, which I've included below, minus my commentary. What you'll see is the following kill / hook order:
- Down and hook Meg.
- Kate saves Meg.
- Down and hook Kate.
- Kate uses Deliverance to unhook herself.
- Down and hook Kate.
- Nea saves Kate.
- Down Kate, but leave her to be picked up.
- Down and hook Nea (dead).
- Down and hook Meg (dead).
- Down and hook Kate (dead).
- Down and hook David (dead).
After the match, Kate stuck around to give me the following message:
"tunneling ######### i hope you choke on your dads dick you worthless [BAD WORD], go apologize to the trees for wasting the oxygen they work so hard for your pathetic excuse for an existence. [BAD WORD] #########." (sic)
Now, keep in mind, I was doing Adept, so I could only use the Hag's teachable perks. I didn't tunnel Meg when she was unhooked, I wouldn't have double-hooked Kate, but no one pulled her off. I left Kate to be picked up despite being able to kill her after she was saved by Nea. Kate was the second to last to die.
All things considered, I don't feel like I did anything wrong. You could say using Mint Rag and Rusty Shackles constitutes "camping" if I always port back to the hook when the save is made, but I never re-hooked anyone who was already injured aside from when Kate unhooked herself with Deliverance and there wasn't a different target to chase.
So, why exactly should killers bother to try to play by survivor "rules" for what's "fair" or "not toxic?"
-
If you see something like that again, try to record it while it's happening and send it's to the devs and see if you can get compensation. Who knows?
-
The entity didn't put killers in the match to give them a glimmer of hope to just rip it out from under them, I believe. Killer is the too torment the survivors and to slow or stop the generations.Wolf74 said:@HatCreature said:
I get that the Hatch exists so players can escape the match when all hope is lost,...
And if so, why is there no ingame mechanic that helps the killer to get at least 1 kill in case "all hope is lost" for the killer?
Killer have just to accept a 4 survivor escape scenario, while survivor get a safety net.
Doublestandards? -
I've had too many times where the person who got hatch was also the person hiding and doing nothing. It feels like a free escape as there's no counter play. It's boring for both party tbh and a battle of who will wait longer.MegMain98 said:
Slugging and trying to find the other survivor is fine, but when you camp the slugged survivor and expect the other survivor to come and heal them but you’re standing right beside the slugged survivor is cheap. It drags on the game and isn’t worth a 4K. Hook the survivor and find the other one, it isn’t that hard. If they get the hatch so what?Wolf74 said:So we have an ingame mechanic that can deny the killer 4K by giving the last survivor a free escape, but a killer playing tactically around that mechanic to get the 4th kill is "pathetic"?
But other survivor mains told me that slugging is actually the build in ingame mechanic to counter the hatch.
So sides one free mechanic is legit, but to counter it with tactic ans strategy is cheap?
A hatch is not a “free escape” by the way. You have to actually get generators done for the hatch to even spawn. One time my whole time died to a Leatherface and I fixed two whole generator BY MYSELF. Then I got the hatch and escaped so kindly explain to me how the hatch is a “free escape”? -
Are you new to survivor? They actually tweaked SC to make it more fair for killers. I would say practice your other skills and as you play the game more, you'll find perks you really like to use. SC can be quite nice when you're solo and not sure how competent your team is or even where they are. If your aren't sure on what to do or how to do it, there are many tutorials on YouTube. IMO SC is best when solo or playing solo, though I usually go with bond and iron will as one gives information and the other keeps you quiet.Faceless said:Self-Care should be buffed. The weather is very long and not worth much, though. It's a good perk if you play alone. Because many survivors do not want to help. I get quite sad even with self care an hour the chase is inevitable and I think nerf in that perk is additional. The killer is always full of benefits, even the majority is adept at tunneling. So I think a perk should be more valued.
-
I think the sections are for related questions. Like survivor related, rather than being a survivor club. I will say as someone who mainly plays survivor, having spawns away from gens, hidden from open and easily seen spots, and hidden behind things would be good. That way you don't see it unless you're listening and looking closely and going out of your way.

The only issue is, as of right now, tunneling is the best way to play him right now if you want kills.ForeheadSurviors said:
And i dont think you understood the idea the devs were going with when they designed legion, hes not a killer that can head stomp survivors which is what you want based on how you’re implying his base should be, he simply wastes time for survivors slowing down the game , the devs obviously wanted to negate tunnelling by revealing other survivors aura when you’re in frenzy mode. Also i would recommend a build Sloppy butcher + Thanatophobia + ruin + BBQ or Nurse or Bloodhoud my only suggestions to the devs would be make legions add ons much more better, small tweaks is all legion needs but thats just my opinion.FranksterGankster said:@ForeheadSurviors said:
Honestly no! what you’re asking for is another free ability to have easy games all legion needs is add ons being tweakedThat will still make Legion addon dependent though. It needs to be a balance between base strength and added strength like perks and addons.

As I said in another post, what I think should happen is as follows:Zarathos said:
He needs his power to bleed out during chase and be able to spread out his damage mandating he has one add on franks mixtape available to be viable is stupid. You will often be punished for tying to chain your attacks to multiple targets so duration base increase would be good or make it so upon striking a survivour killer instinct duration is increased or doubled depending on add ons etc.fluffybunny said:
To be fair, Legion's time waster is a ton better than the pig's. It's unlimited and every time you see the survivor. The length (so you can actually go from person to person) needs to be increased and his base speed buffed.Zarathos said:
And how did the time waster idea work out for the pig. Compare her to spirit where they buffed the power to be lethal and you see which is the better killer. A killers power thats lethal focused has consistently shown to be way more powerful then a power that provides utility or time wasting. The best killers have powers that are focused on mobility or killing. There is no room for any utility based powers if you want a competitive killer. The game is to short for docs and pigs to be messing with traps and shocks that dont meaningfully help with killing.touchpadgamer said:@fluffybunny
The movement/map pressure with an always-on Feral Frenzy would be insane... I think the FF tracking is too accurate to have all game as well; completely obliterates any stealth strats. It'd sure be interesting tho. I also think base speed could be brought up to default and that wouldn't break the game...@Zarathos
I don't think Legion necessarily NEEDS to be more lethal. I also see Legion's ability as primarily, a time-waster kind of like the Pig's Reverse Bear Traps. The power makes it easy to hit and find clumps of survivors and force them to waste time mending while one target is chased down. Perhaps instead of trying to make FF more lethal, maybe make it better at time-wasting? Or ideally, a perfect balance of both xD
If you dont want a competitive killer well i hope you don't mind the rank system matching you with competitive players because you play killers to a good standard. I could live with a crap legion if the game atmosphere wasnt always hyper competitve so untill they change the atmosphere of this game to be less sweaty tryhard i will expect my killers to be competitve.
Freddy doc and pig power capabilites are wasted on delay tactics thats why they are all low tier and for the most part crap. Even pigs best add ons are the dash attacks with her bear traps being terrible. Dbd needs either new modes or a meta shift with added objectives to make these killers a good pick. Hell even a casual queue would make playing some of these killers more bearable.
Im sorry if i come across as rude it just feels like were gonna make a freddy of legion and I don't want to see behaviour mess it up again.
As for counterplay make it so his power consumes some of the gauge when he attacks so whiffing an attacks has consequnces. Whilst in chase with legion if you are in his tr your deep wound bar doesent drop below 30% so he can't just look at the ground and down you.
I have looped and beaten legions by moving around tje killers fov as they vault to force whiffs. It was tricky but its possible like nurse you need to break line of sight and juke whilst he is in ff. Legion is a weak killer. Once your aware of his counters but if you traditionally loop a ffing legion you will get downed.
Buffs: longer frenzy to reach everyone, normal speed, nurses catches mending
Debuffs: increased amount of hits necessary to down with frenzy, stun or penalty for whiffs while in frenzy, pausing deep wound while in heartbeat
Legion is broken in one on one, but weak against the group. If you spread the pain, you'll get hurt. If you tunnel down and cheese, you'll win. The opposite should be true. -
If you broke down one hook, three would still remain. Back when sabo was permanent, basement was the only safe spot for killer. It wouldn't make any sense for you to be in the basement, either. You get points for being down there cause it's dangerous. There isn't really a point to making basement hooks sabo-able. Just avoid basement.

You can't tunnel gens. You're thinking of looping. Killer equivalent to gen rushing is applying pressure on gens and the three gen strat.Master said:@Poweas said:

Why so much tunneling?
Why not?
You always tunnel gens too because its just logical to do Well that's not really fair on the guy you eliminate. Because it's fair to make a killer spend more time chasing people?
Time management is primary for a killer.
The more time they spend doing something is more time survivors have to do something. Like gens.
It's fine to tunnel when there's 1 gen left but if your tunnelling when there's 5-3 gens left ur a dirty killer.
That's hilarious.
Just means less people eliminated so you can get that 1 gen left sooner.
Pretty sure you want gens done as quickly as possible, too.
Pretty damn sure you don't hang around and let killers get the hooks they would have otherwise gotten through trying to eliminate people sooner. And regardless of what ever code of honor you do, or don't stick to, it's about certain it's just you. Many others on both sides would gladly not follow it.
In any event you're asking the killer to play suboptimal and have their blood points suffer as a result. That just isn't really fair.
What? There are so many killers who do well without tunnelling when there's 5-3 gens left. If there's 1-2 gens left then tunnel all you want. I really hope I don't face you, tunnellers leave a very salty taste in my mouth when there's no reason to.
Feel free to provide gameplay of these killers playing against a competent SWF "tunneling gens", I wanna see how well they do if they dont tunnel survivors in return

You'll get there. Just continue to do your best. C: Huntress hatchets can be quite hard to get down, but practice make perfect. I'd offer to help you practice, but i'm without computer and have no idea if we'd be close enough that it wouldn't lag too much.Morfedel said:@fluffybunny said:

I swear, those ranks are a giant mixed bag.I'll say Huntress doesn't really need NOED when you get better at her. She's one of the best for a reason. You'll get past those ranks, too. As for the question at hand, camping is expected (imo) when they're in basement, the gates are open, or killer downs first after 3 gens pop. It's respectful when they don't, but I expect it. I think it's also understandable when a person is toxic or if the killer is being swarmed. If you see all three, the only reason to leave is to activate MYC or gain a stack on devour.
I get annoyed when they camp with no gens and with a d/c at start, though good survivors are going to capitalize on you camping. It's more fun to go searching and initiate a chase to catch your next imo. I often get more annoyed with my team than the killer.
You reflected my thoughts exactly. I suck at huntress though, I'm terrible with the hatchets. I'm slowly getting better though.... I do a lot better with trapper, wraith, and, sadly, even clown which I just played for the first time today! I really like huntress though, so hoping I will start to master those hatchet throws before too much longer.

Maybe a slow effect when soloing a gen should be implemented. Gen rushing occurs when everyone is on a gen and on person is running the killer I believe.
-
1) maybe it should just heal one health state and not get a speed boost
2) it'd be hard to program that, I'd think.
3) what's the time frame and does or include when you first enter the house if you crawl through the window? It may ruin stealth if they crawl through the window and it closes, making noise. Windows can be mind gamed, too
4) I'm up for this idea, but I believe the perk is referring to the scene in the movie where Laurie stabbed Michael to get away. -
Same, I want everyone to get the chance to get points. I'm a nice killer. -3- I'll also chase after the farmer if someone farms someone. As survivor, if I see a killer camping someone and they didn't play like that all game, I'll often assume the survivor did something and ask in the end chat.BloodyNights said:I only camp if I honestly think they deserve to be camped. Not for just playing well, but usually if they are just purposefully trying to be toxic. Like this Dwight who body blocked a teammate to eat a chainsaw, and saved other survivors without even letting me get a chance to walk away ten feet.
Personally it depends on how comfortable you are and how much you want to win. It's pretty frustrating for survivors to die, or even reach tier 2 on their first hooking. And also extremely frustrating being taken off the hook only to immediately be hunted down right afterwards. It is the most effective way to win as killer. Giving just enough wiggle room for them to be saved, but also not giving them enough space to get away.
Personally unless I'm just having a really bad game I tend to just completely leave the person on the hook all together, and go check on other gens for them to get saved, and come back afterwards hoping to catch the person who saved them. Especially during double blood points when everyone is trying to farm. But keep in mind that's just me being nice. Keyword nice. If you don't want to be nice to them that's perfectly fine. You are the killer and are trying to win.
And if the gates are powered you deff don't need to be kind to them filthy degenerate survivors who finished them gens. Face camp them and let them die, that's what they get! lol and if they get mad woop te doo. You did what you had to, to secure that kill.
-
It's actually more like looping than doing gens and I know quite a few who won't loop cause they know killers don't like it.Raptorrotas said:Just to be the obligatory toxic killer main in this thread:
Camp like you want, survivors are doing the same. Or have you ever heard of survivors letting go of generators to find another one below 50%?Survivors shouldn't be expecting to be saved, the moment they're downed/ hooked they were supposedly already as good as dead. It's arguably funny or sad to see how the community's mentality has changed the design choices of this game.

I don't know how many of these repliess are from people on Xbox but back when it used to show reputation. DBD was famous for lowering player reputation. Mainly because its so easy to do. Reputation didn't actually matter. Now the icon is gone entirely.
You're talking like there isn't other ways for people to complain or report people. If a person is angered or upset by something, they're more likely to go forward and try to complain about it than if someone is happy or satisfied. That's just how people work. If it isn't in the end screen section, it'll be elsewhere and they'll find it and report. Their false reports are more likely to hurt them, though, than the person being reported.
A person's rep is different than them actually getting in trouble, right? I've never played the Xbox version. Isn't rep kinda dumb, though? Not that it generally matters in game, since survivors can't see the killer unless that's different on Xbox, too. The original post was concerned with being reported because it was on the ending screen, but honestly that's more likely to get more positive votes out than negative as people (generally speaking) are more likely to go through hoops for complaints than they are for praises and so on.
You added to what I am trying to say. Precisely that is what people are more likely to do. Which is why its stupid to have that option there directly in their sight knowing how people act. Putting the option right in their face makes actually going through with the report more likely. As if those reports would have a shred of credibility even if the DBD devs were even looking into them. Plus if they apparently don't look into them on their side either. Then the props don't matter. The Xbox system I don't even think gets a flag when someone gives you props.
But no, I am not saying there isn't other ways. Not sure where that comes from. Made it pretty clear now a blatantly obvious point. Having that option there encourages angry people to abuse the option to report people.
Angry people are infinitely more likely to leave feedback. Even if it isn't reasonable. Putting that option directly in the game just makes all of that more likely. A bunch more unreasonable salty feedback. It doesn't serve a purpose .
The rep doesn't matter anymore on Xbox. So they say. It doesn't even show on the profile anymore but you can see your own rep. However mass reporting absolutely has an affect as it got my gamertag which is my own name abbreviated automaticalyl changed for being offensive. Despite it LITERALLY not saying anything at all other than being a abbreviated name.
Xbox support a side issue entirely is so bad. That I can't even say for sure I got it ironed out. I would've had to pay 10$ to change it to something else. What I think happened was they decided in my favor. Decided not to say a word to me. But let me change my tag back for free....who knows.
Edit. The exact amount of people who reported me for "cheating" also bothered to report my gamertag for being "offensive" I don't think that was a coincidence.
It's mostly just there for people who come across truly offensive/cheating stuff, but aren't savvy enough or caring enough to go the extra mile to protect other players. If someone reports you for something that isn't bannable, you have nothing to worry about. Looping, camping, teabagging, and so on aren't bannable, for instance. The person is more likely to get in trouble than you are. It isn't like it's YouTube and they just demonetize anyone who gets a report. It's actually very sketchy when they hide those kinds of things. It screams "we don't care if we have cheaters or people who do things against the rules."
And how is your gamertag offensive? That's more related to the community, but if your gamertag was actually offensive, you can't be surprised when people report it... that's like poking a bear and complaining when it mauls you.
...
It ISNT offensive. Which is the entire reason I brought this up in the first place.
What is it?

This is the worst way to buff them. Would make the power pointless
Their power would be to slow down the game by making survivors need to heal. Survivors would still forget to heal sometimes and get downed, too, and wouldn't be able to move out of the way if the killer sees them and they're at 0%, mending. Legion could use normal speed.

The only issue with that is s/he goes a lot quicker while in Feral Frenzy and the person would be unlikely to avoid the hit and get away from the killer. Honestly people not healing is just laziness. Being injured is never a good idea since it makes you a one-down. Now, an increase in speed would be nice (Billy has normal speed, for instance, and his power one-downs survivors) and longer Feral Frenzy is needed. To be fair, there is NO way to buff a killer, without pissing off survivors, since they wanna live. I think both ideas are great and i really hope for buffs that make him Mid tier- Low high tier
This is an issue of making a killer OP. Even with the nurse, the survivors have a chance to get away, hide, dodge. If a legion is coming up at you in frenzy and can down you if you're already injured, that would mean there's little to no ways to address that situation. They can fast vault pallets and windows. They move a lot faster than a typical killer. It'd honestly be better to make the power longer so that you can hit all the survivors, regardless of how far away they are. I think Nurses should also see it as I would consider mending a healing action, but they already turned that idea down.
This is coming from someone who likes the idea of the killer, but understands they're weak. I didn't think this would be a hard concept to understand, even from a killer main. If the survivor is left with no way to counter something, it'd leave them in a definite down. That would mean you could come back to the hook and frenzy after someone, hitting them down rather quickly regardless of if they're around pallets/windows. And when you hit people, you get notified of other people's positions. You know, hurt people you could run over and smack down immediately.
EDIT: didn't read my comment first. xD Still, I think there's some more reasonable people who play survivor, too. I consider myself a survivor main 'cause I suck at killer, but I know some killers are really weak and so on. It should be fun for everyone.

The problem with legion is not getting the first hit its chaining hits with a duration that is awful for its intended use leaving players with no choice but to strike twice the same target. The lethality of his power is what needs to be buffed as legions who arent running the purple addons that reduce required hits tend to be struggling massively compare to those that are. They should have legions default required hits be 3 and rework franks so its does something else so it cant drop any lower.
Perhaps franks tape extends the max duration of feral frenzy for each target stabbed is increased until its is put on cooldown. Just a thought in how to rework it so he dosent down in two hits as that would be way to powerful.
I think the point of the character is to hit multiple survivors, therefore prolonging the game and possibly even catching someone while they're mending and can't move, but s/he isn't given enough time to actually get to survivors tbh. I would personally like it to be longer. I was just thinking what I offered as a redesign to be interesting, though they are unlikely to completely rework a character like that.
-
The only issue with that is s/he goes a lot quicker while in Feral Frenzy and the person would be unlikely to avoid the hit and get away from the killer. Honestly people not healing is just laziness. Being injured is never a good idea since it makes you a one-down. Now, an increase in speed would be nice (Billy has normal speed, for instance, and his power one-downs survivors) and longer Feral Frenzy is needed.

I play survivor and I don't use it since its not even that great, theres way better survivor perks out thereYou're not supposed to hide at their feet after a strike. XD
Weren't they going to make the perk hold the killer still for a bit? Honestly it'd be interesting if it added something additional to the chase like a slow effect/longer pause during pallet slams or distorted vision after that/flashlight for a bit (having something in your view can mess you up). It could work like adrenaline with a cool-down. The biggest issue is that the perk still needs to be useful and possibly with a similar affect. No one wants more useless perks (and if you do, why? .-.).

Then immediately seeing an icon that allows you to report the person. In all likelyhood doesn't increase the chances of them doing it? Cmon....

NOED is like the DS of killers. You can play poorly and still get a win thanks to a perk. Imagine if they buffed DS to make the perk a multi-use perk. Whether you like it or not, they actually have to be cleansing totems in order to counter NOED before it goes off. If they do that, they're wasting time. Most of the times people don't and I've also had survivors get after me for cleansing totems with a killer with NOED because I was "wasting time" and not focusing on getting out. Gen rushing is an issue, but buffing NOED isn't the answer.NOED is only an issue if survivors gen rush. It´s in no way comparable to DS.
DS: Survivors get a free escape unless they are juggled or close enough to a hook
NOED: Killer gets free hooks where they wouldn't have gotten them otherwise unless survivors cleanse the totem after it spawns or cleanse all totemsHow are they in no way comparable?
DS: Survivor gets a free escape unless they are close to the hook. Dribbling only works for a short distance.
DS rewards failiure.
NOED gives the killer free hooks? So they magically teleport to the hook and die? He doesn´t has to hunt and down them? This truly sounds OP!
NOED only punishes gen rushers. That´s about it. It can be completely prevented, unlike DS.NOED gives free downs. Is that better? That's like survivors getting free get away. Only DS works once and NOED works every time until the totem is destroyed. It can be before it goes off. It could be never if the team couldn't be bothered. I've had whole teams wiped out because of NOED. They would either get no kills or one, but the NOED came in to save the day. I've had someone with NOED complain about someone with DS getting a free escape. Well, there's your free downs, buddy. You're as bad as them.
1 DS is no problem. 4 DS are a problem. Especially with how fast the gens are done and how long a chase takes.
NOED punishes those very gen rushers and can be cleansed before it even spawns. Killer wastes up to 3 perks for a endgame strategy. For perks that only come into effect once the gates are powered. Survivors behave like the killer lost once the gates are powered and that he should go into a corner of the map and cry.
But the match is not over until you see the point screen. What i find even more ridiculous, is WHY survivors complain about NOED. Killer let you get points and pip. Yet survivors still complain that they died at the end of the match.
But if a killer kills everyone with 5 gens up, they also complain that they depiped, and received next to no points. That the killer is #########, because he camped or whatever reason they make up.There really is NO way to make survivors happy. Maybe if the game would start with open gates. But then they would spend 20 minutes at the exit teabagging.
I can understand your aggression and your defensiveness towards survivors, but what I'm saying isn't wrong. DS sucks and so does toxic behaviors; I avoid those. End-game builds are also a lot of fun. I mostly blame myself if I don't foresee it coming and react accordingly. I'm not talking about an end-game build. Whether you want to see it as such or not, NOED is relied on by a lot of killers who aren't that skilled. They wouldn't have gotten that 3k without it and it isn't because they're "letting" you get points. It's a game changer in the same way DS is for survivors. Perks shouldn't determine how many you kill or if you get away. It should be a mixture of both. With that being said, I understand some killers almost require the perk to be viable with how weak they are, but it makes me cringe to see it on top tier killers.
If they kill everyone before 5 gens, it's cause the team sucked. I wouldn't blame the killer even if they did camp. Gens could be done and that person could hang for a while. You get that when you play with randoms, though. It's like randoms disconnecting for no reason or killing themselves on hooks. Fun, fun. Camping and tunneling truly sucks, though. It makes it so one person doesn't get points/pips and that person may not have done anything to deserve such treatment.
I´m not really agressive towards survivors. I speak from experience. More often than not i had someone teabag me at the exit, while i went to the toilet, grabbed something to eat, had a chat with my wife, made a phone call, etc. While that survivor stood at the exit gate teabagging.
I agree that perks shouldn´t determine how many kills the killer gets. (this goes both ways btw.)
But as long as we have game mechanics that give an unwanted (looping), unfair (voice chat), or unjustified (hatch) advantage, it´s the only thing some people have left to balance the outcome of the match.Ohh and despite me defending NOED, i rarely use it unless i test some new builds.
Yeah, I know.
I get that, too, when I play killer. Though usually it's to teabag, but not let you get a hit or anything before they run out. If I'm at the gate (as survivor), it's to let them down me so I crawl out (I think they keep points from that?), but that's only if I like them and they're nearby. I don't teabag, either. When I said "if you get away," I was referring to DS. It annoys me when people use it and a lot of times, it kinda makes them suck tbh. I've had someone act like an utter newbie and attempt to say they were the only good player because everyone else died to NOED. I was the only one cleansing totem and the newbie didn't bother to get the one near to the gen he was doing. The killer also had STBFL, but yeah. It was definitely "skill" that kept him alive.Yeah, they need to change how people get bloodpoints, honestly. If looping is rewarded, it shouldn't be. The goal should be to attempt to lose the killer, not to waste time. Maybe more stealth rewards/options would be nice to discourage looping. SWF (Voice Chat) isn't going to go anywhere, probably. They need to balance both solo and killers around that since it's quite popular. The last point is bad for both tbh. You're BOTH waiting for the other to move. End game honestly needs to be a lot better.

MWED indeed, lol. I'm not sure how killers who use NOED a lot would react to that. While making it a non-hex perk would be a buff, only being able to down someone once would be quite the nerf.A buff on one hand and a nerf on the other - Dead by Daylight in a nutshell...
I still don't know 'cause then totems would be completely neglected unless someone was trying to farm points. That would give one less thing for survivors to do. I think they should just add in another objective in between the gens. I've heard people suggest finding parts or finding oil.

Something should be done about face camping, but this idea can probably be exploited or come off too strong. Honestly, if you affect their points and their pips, they'd probably slow down on the camps. Also, camping is a weak and boring strat (tunneling is quite dumb, too). I think killers should get like style points (towards blood points and pips) for how they kill. Like they lose points if the method is easy (e.i. face camps, tunnels) and gain points for switching targets and not going back immediately. Camping really does ruin it for one side, though, and most of the time it isn't even deserved. It should be an active decision to punish at a cost rather than just be the easy way out. Also, more game modes would be fun. w
TL;DR version - "Killers playing efficiently is boring, and they should be punished for it."
10/10 Survivor logic right there. When can Survivors start being punished for working on generators that have already been partially repaired?
TL;DR - "Killers camping is lazy and you should get additional points for not afking in front of someone or for changing it up"
Didn't know people needed a tl;dr for a paragraph, but there you go. When I play killer, I don't camp or tunnel. It's more fun that way tbh. That way I don't feel like I'm targeting one person.
No, you literally said Killers should be punished for not playing how you believe is fun.
Just for the record, in case you didn't realize, this is a PvP game. The Killer is not there to amuse you; he's the opposing team.
Just for the record, in case you didn't realize, this is a PvP game. Meaning, you're not playing against robots. You cheat, it's wrong, right? Tunneling and camping makes the game an awful experience for everyone but the killer evidently. I personally find it boring, but you seem to like it. It sucks for survivors, though. Have some empathy. Survivors have the right to want to have fun in a game they've payed to play, too. Like I've said in other posts, I would be up for killers getting a massive buff if they could stop the camping and the tunneling. Make it viable to go after the healthy one, rather than the hurt one. Maybe patrol the gens instead of the one on the hook. Make the gens naturally go slower if the killer is nearby or something. This game takes both survivors and killers and just because you find it "fun" doesn't mean it's correct or "fun" for everyone. I'm sure the toxic survivors who say stuff like "EZ" and cuss you out for being bad or make fun of you also finds that fun, but that's not very nice. I'm sure the people who cheat also find that fun, but that isn't right.
I play survivor too. I am fine being camped because I know that my team can escape then
Only tunneling feels bad, but well.As killer I wont tunnel survivors if the survivors dont tunnel gens. Thats only a fair compromise, do you agree?
If survivors tunnel gens however, they dont leave me enough time to 2 hook everyone before I start killing, so I switch my game strategy to tunneling in order to become more time efficientI'm fine with camping on certain conditions. Otherwise, it annoys me. I dislike when it happens at the start of the match or before I get much points. I understand when it happens if someone's being toxic and they're camping for that, that's fine. The issue is that camping is quite easy and even rewarding. You may need to find someone first, but you can basically just afk around them and someone is likely going to try to go for the save. They want their points and their friend off the hook.
I don't mean to be rude, but is English your second language? I believe you mean to say "survivors rush gens" not tunnel. I can understand that sentiment and something should be done to make the process a bit more complex. Like, maybe having to fetch something for the generator, too. Gen rushing typically happens because of a lack of pressure on the field, but there's bound to be some off while you're chasing. If one doesn't camp, they'll switch targets to someone else and that's three people doing something else (assuming someone's going for the save). If you don't tunnel, you'll hopefully just get the current person you're chasing down. If you happen to run into the other person again, I don't really think that's tunneling unless you actually go out looking for them. I think that's kinda hard to say it happened for sure, though.
Yes english isnt my mother tongue, but I dare to say that im quite confident using it

Doesnt matter how you call it, genrush or tunneling gens (what does that have to do with english btw?)Look at it analytically:
As killer it is called tunneling when you proceed completing your objective on a single survivor, after the first hook this survivor is at 33% dead, after 2nd hook 66% dead. It is for some reason considered toxic to tunnel, i.e. playing efficiently by completing your objective in a time efficient way.Now compare that to survivor
If you have repaired a gen to 66%, would you change your gen now or would you complete the 66% gen?
Because if you complete the 66%gen, then you are tunneling gens.Thats literally using the definition of tunneling brought up by survivors.
As I said, non-tunneling survivors give me enough time not to tunnel them too.And I would like to challenge you to explain me how a killer can be more effective by not tunneling, its literall common sense to do that.
And regarding the killers that do well without tunneling/camping, I challenge you to show them to me, and ofc they have to be high ranks, non-nurses and play against a competent team of survivors.
I said it was impressive to know multiple languages and understandable for such mistakes. When people use tunneling, they're referring to following around one person and keeping them from playing the game as normal. It's running after the person and not giving them a rest. Coming back for them if they were unhooked, etc. Gen rushing is when survivors sit on the gens without being disturbed or with nice boxes and get the gens done quickly. It's a funny image to think of a survivor running after a gen, though. #survivorkiller
Your analogy doesn't work. It's more similar to hooks. You aren't tunneling a hook by using it over and over. It's smart to go after the nearest hook. It isn't smart to tunnel one person as that is leaving three people with only gens to do. It's PvP and both having a good experience without feeling bullied or targeted is important.
As for the common sense of tunneling, you're leaving 2 people on the gen, 1 person on the hook, and 1 person going for the save. Unless you are not talking about tunneling in that regard. What I'm talking about is targetting a player straight off the hook and not giving them a break or following someone as gens pop around you. Sometimes people have a good rhythm in the area and it could be beneficial to give it a break to bug other people.
I said Monto and Puppers do quite well. I've also gone after many higher ranks that don't need to camp/tunnel to get everyone or to get a win. 3 out of 4 is still good. That's still a loss for survivors.
I think that's what I said, but I forgot.
Is monto that youtuber or do you mean some streamer? Obivously I can put up youtube videos where I have a 100% winrate at rank 1 too, so not gonna bother with checking that channel tbh

Just checked puppers out, started the stream from 3 days ago, and zipped through it till I found his first killer. It was a huntress, 5 second into the game he explains how to camp as huntress, while he stansd 20-30 meter away from the hook spaming axes at the hooked guy.Sure, they might have been toxic or sth, so I decided to watch the whole match in order to not judge from a 5 sec impression
I like how it starts, he says he actually has to pay attention now because he isnt playing survivor now, sympathic guy I have to say

After 2 minutes it becomes clear that the survivors he verses are quite bad, they dont even know hwo to crouch behind a pallet, he also said he hasnt played killer for a week, wonder what rank he is now.
Next survivor simply walks up to him and suicides, mhm ok I guess I can skip that match.... mhm ok rank 10Checked out another 5 streams (taking into accoutn the 1 week break from killer), he only played survivor.
So this is your example for killers that do quite well without camping and tunneling? Did I check out the wrong channel?
Please provide a link to high rank killergameplay of him playing against decent, coordinated survivors.
From what I have seen he is more a chilled dude and he wouldnt stand a change against a decent SWF, but please prove me wrong
When he plays survivor, he'll like read chat and stuff. Fed a Michael once due to that lmao. I've seen plenty of boosted animals at the higher ranks. People running into the killers arms, not dodging correctly, etc. I honestly see camping and tunneling more and the leading up ranks 'cause they want to get up there quickly. The most recent I could find was a Trapper and Wraith play and he was trying to get blue hooks in those games. The one where he plays Michael, he gets a 4 kill with Michael and he's rank 3.

Puppers i agree because he streams . Monto only shows his wins tho. i cant really say that he is good like that now can i?
Puppers is my favorite tbh, but most of the games Monto posts, he does a good job. I think I've seen other people, too. I forgot to mention HybridPanda. I mentioned it in my first post, but forgot to include him when I posted it again. Most of the people I watch is one YouTube, but a good play is a good play whether it's live or not.

I think he's fine the way he is. They actually had to give him a buff before leaving PTB because he was too weak I do believe.
-
This should probably be in Bug Reports. I don't think that's working as intended.

Tunneling is targeting player after he has been unhooked. In reality I will decide on the go, if player a is injured while b is healthy I will go for a if he doesn't have DS. If a and b are both equally healthy then I will always go for b because he is closer to death.Once survivors get more experience you simply don't have enough time for that luxury of switching targets
Yeah, in that case, it makes more sense to me to take the time to find your next victim and put pressure on the field. Gens are the best place to look, hitting them and then looking around for the survivor. I believe I've said this, but if you go after someone while someone's going for the save, it means only one person can do gens. If you catch them before they can get to go for the save, that's even better. That means someone else needs to stop what they're doing and go for the save. I wouldn't take too long looking around the area, though. Putting pressure on generators and the other survivors is more important than finding the person thinking of saving.

Read the bit above. If you've been on the hook, and he hasn't, even if you're both wounded, I'm going to choose you to chase. Just like in RPGs, focus and kill one enemy at a time.Dude, I get WHY killers do it. I'm saying that it's the easy thing to do. If you are a good killer you shouldn't be taking the easy way. I will let survivors unhook near me and go for the guy that made the save IF I can afford it. That's the difference between a good killer that plays fair and a bad killer that plays unfair. The good killer can do that and kill you, but it's easy, so they don't and STILL end up killing everyone, that is a good killer. It's also a good game for EVERYONE because when killer camps or tunnels someone that forces survivors to gen rush.
This is why my NM build (NM, Resil, Kindred, BT) will beat any tunneling or camping killer. If you camp someone, I will run in for a YOLO save and the ONLY way to stop me is hit me before I get there or they time the grab perfect when I save (if I do it right). If you tunnel, I will show up and eat the hit, now you have to hook me. If you let the other guy go and hook me, gens get rushed. If I'm up and about (and I know you camp/tunnel) I will gen rush until I need to eat another hit. A killer that wants to have fun and a longer game should just constantly slug me.
Oh, NM guy. I thought killers tunneled NM. Easy kill in their eyes.

Why should they be rewarded for their failures
Why are Survivors rewarded for failure to hide and LoS juke by being able to Loop?
When you have a killer going at a million miles per hour because of blood lust how tf you gunna juke his line of site lmfao.
If you never got found in the first place, you wouldn’t be running now would you? Face the fact, you failed to hide properly when the Killer came looking. You ######### up, time to deal with the consequences. It’s supposed to be hard to lose a Killer who’s hot on your ass. YOU ######### up and got found in the first place, why are you getting rewarded via Looping for [BAD WORD] up? I don’t see Killers getting rewarded for being unable to find anyone.
Survivor = Don’t get found, you win. Get found, but Loop the Killer for just 30 seconds, you still win.
Killer = Don’t find anyone, you lose. Find everyone easy, but get Looped for 30 seconds every time, you still lose.
All Looping does is take the Survivors fail condition and turn it into a win condition. It’s a win/win for Survivors, Lose/Lose for Killers.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=j9dM4oNPA18
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=8Kbtr4xM67oHow about these videos? Where the Gen Rush was so stupidly fast, it didn’t matter if the Killer didn’t really get Looped and chases were stupidly quick? Even without Looping, Survivors can still easily make a Killer pointless to even be on the map.
Why aren't end lobbies shown in either match? This could have easily been misranked matches which is scummy af. Also that clown gameplay was one of the worst matches I've ever seen in my life, clown throwing bottles at everything but survivors lmao.
As Clown, your goal is to herd them into the direction you want them to go, not hit them directly. The only time you want a direct hit is with the pinky. The Clown's gameplay was pretty bad, though. He could hear a gen close to done near him and proceed to chase people rather than knock the people off the gen and hit it. The end lobbies should definitely be showed, too. We don't know if they're just picking on a bunch of rank 20s or not.

Which is worse, honestly, Bloodlust after 30+ seconds of looping or... Nothing But Nurses, all day, every day? Nurse is the ONLY killer that doesnt rely on Bloodlust to stop looping. The only reason why other Killers get used is because Bloodlust allows them to reduce the loops too about a minute. Even if you dont down them, they have to do something OTHER than loop. Nerf the Bloodlust, you will get NOTHING BUT LOOPS as any other killer but Nurse. Any Killer who is serious and nit just messing around will be forced to use Nurse to stand a chance.Your Choice, Nerf Blood lust and get nothing but Nurses, or, leave it alone and get more variety in Killers
I typically play survivor and I support Blood Lust. If anything needs to be change, adjust the numbers and the times to get there (I've heard less time being suggested), but getting rid of it outright may cause issues for a lot of killers catching up and countering loops.

Deleted comment? So what, guess you cant find such an example anymore

Nah, I went to edit it. It has to check it first or whatever.
Give it a second
Write the comment again. I've gotten the same message several times and never gets posted.
Yeah its because a mod has to go through it and approve it, but there are not enough mods to do that. One of my edited posts never made it through the approving process

Awe, it was a long post. Is there a way to check your past comments, regardless of if they're being approved?
Check on Drafts, but it's probably gone.
I did, but it was gone. ;w; I think I remember what I said, though.

Also, more game modes would be fun. w
