Are you perhaps newer to the game? The flashlight blind at the pallet has been a thing since the beginning I do believe. If it was a bug, they would have fixed it by now. Ways to work around being blinded at the pallet is following off of sound (movement and pain noises) or holding still.yes I am very new to the game... I do believe Flashlight Blind at pallets is not the ultimate game breaker... just wanted to point out it is an issue because it forces a situation on you where there is nothing you can do.
My only objection is I am already not looking into the lens. Any blind right after the break is fair and square
I believe if you run the Billy perk, it'll counter the flashlights at the pallet if I'm remembering correctly. Regardless, you aren't looking completely at the ground and it's possibly to blind even when you're looking down. The nurse can get blinded, too, while she's fatigued.

I think you need to explain what you did better. Were there multiple survivors or just one? Were you playing a public match? Were you dribbling them instead of hooking?
In that scenario, they may actually be able to sneak away and do a gen. If they were the last one with five/four gens left, that's cruel, though, if they just want to get out and are unable to get away for long enough to do anything with the gens.

Not sure if I like this too much. I run bond instead of self care and now I'm not always finding people 'cause they're jumping in lockers for whatever reason. Additionally can't tell if someone's afking in a locker anymore. Probably going to see more of that as people are likely not to notice and they'll feel they can get away with it.
It does help to hide from people who go out of their way to sandbag and stuff, though. -
Probably better to try on Killer. Everything that gains extra bloodpoints (WGLF and No One Left Behind) for survivors is massively situational and you won't get nearly as many points on survivor as you would on killer, even for failed games. Someone could easily get to the hook before you and if you farm your team, you're probably not gonna live long.
-
The idea is interesting, but I believe the offerings are there to encourage you to play those characters. Possibly.
-
I still personally really like the idea of all the survivors within a swf not being able to take in the same perks and keeping the end screen info secret until everyone escapes or is dead.

Never said they were scared? I can understand how it's annoying, especially when survivors group together to troll the killer by all having OP survivor items and such. It also means for a different strat with how you play and stuff. Not everyone is toxic, though, and not everyone's even good, really.

I don't usually watch movies, but I love horror games. They're interesting. It's true, though. A lot of the lack of fear comes from either the killer being connected to another player or calling/tunneling being rather weak and that takes away from their spook factor.Tsulan said:

Holding someone hostage is against the game rules. If you're putting them into a situation where they have to dc, that would count.
-
I heard someone call it an honor code of sorts. Killers don't camp and use NOED and survivors don't do stupid strong window loops every chance they get and run ds. I think bming would also be part of that, like teabagging at pallets and such. I think it's up to the person and I personally avoid getting downed to the best of my ability until the end. If you're first on hook, nothing's to discourage the killer from camping and if you're solo, no one may come until you're second stage anyway.Crizpen said:@tennmio said:
RoKrueger said:We killers don't play by the survivors made up rules, we just kill and don't mind what the pray has to say. Kill them, KILL THEM ALL >_<
We are all ppl that are trying to have fun while they don't have to work.
Fairplay is s.th that exists since we invented games and competition it's not s.th "made up by survivors". Fairplay is common sense.
Actually, common sense would be to play by and respect the rules established by the game itself; that's fair play. Outside of that, the "rules" regarding what killers should and should not do were established by survivors who didn't want to compete only by the rules laid down in the game.
That isn't to say I don't understand how frustrating it can be to face a killer who camps or tunnels needlessly. I've faced my fair share of them as well, and I get why it can be so infuriating, but that isn't the same thing as the killer not playing fair, or according to the actual rules.
The original purpose of this thread was to demonstrate how killers are routinely falsely attacked in chat and on these boards for not following what survivors believe the rules ought to be. Likely because some survivors can't handle being killed, even when they live long enough to pip and get a lot of points. And further, if that's the case, there's absolutely no reason for killers to try play to their own disadvantage in order to accommodate survivors.
It's a sword that cuts both ways: if survivors want killers to play by and accept their "rules" for how killers should play, they have to respect killers and not insult them in chat and on these boards when the killer does try to play by those rules. And, even if the killer doesn't, comments like the one originally posted are completely out of line.
Yes, it is a commentary on how toxic and salty many members of the DBD community are, and no, I don't believe this thread or a thousand more like it will change that. However, survivors who are concerned about killers playing by their rules for what the killer should and should not do, ought to be calling out their teammates who engage in that behavior.
The reason for it is very simple, and I'll use the original post as an example. If I were infuriated and angry about what that survivor said to me post-match, there isn't much I can do to retaliate against that survivor, unless they happen to land in my lobby again. I can, however, say "f their rules," and take out my frustration on the next group of survivors. Maybe I'd finally try out that insidious Leatherface build to find some catharsis.
Obviously, answering toxicity with toxicity isn't the answer, but I have no doubt it's very often the result. It isn't exactly fair to the next lobby of survivors, but I find little reasons for empathy when none is displayed on the other side of the fence. So, if you want fewer toxic killers, push your fellow survivors to be less toxic as well.
Even with that said, by being toxic to people who aren't toxic to you, you're justifying them being toxic or you're creating toxicity. Being toxic towards people who didn't do anything to you are just going to annoy them and going to possibly create an us versus them scenario. We shouldn't be tearing each other down. We're playing a game together, just different roles. So, it should be fun for everyone, killer and survivor. -
The newer players struggle with it. I remember some games where nothing got done thanks to ruin. Heck, some of the higher ranks stuck at ruin, too. Skill checks are hard, man. Also boring. We're don't want to make this generator by daylight. That's the most boring part.DwightsLifeMatters said:I mean, it's not like if you miss every ruin great skillcheck the gen will never get done. It's just delaying a bit. Huntress lullaby isn't even that strong if you pay attention. Why are these perks hex totems again? I kinda missed the explaination of that -

1. The gens are the way they are because of camping. People complained about a killer camping and basically getting away with it cause their teammates didn't have enough time. From what I've heard, at least. It'd be awesome if survivors got more complex tasks, though. Gens can get boring.Poweas said:- Genrushing nerfed so gens take 120 seconds, 2 survivors take 80 seconds (knocking off 40 each time except for 4 survivors), 3 takes 40 seconds and for 4 survivors, gens take 20 seconds. That's it.
- NOED removed.
- D strike reworked to be a completely different and balanced perk.
- Lithe makes vaulting 30% faster.
- Killer vaulting is made slightly faster.
- Spirit is given a 12 seconds cooldown on base.
- Hag is given a 60m trapping teleport distance and her range addons are reworked to make her traps less visible.
- Huntress has a faster base windup and less cooldown between throws.
- Myers is given 20% faster stalking, no cap to stalking, he can stalk if ur in his LOS not the 40m it is right now and he is given a 20 seconds longer EW3. Yes I want him to be 2nd best killer.
- All other killers are buffed a lot.
- Solo survivor gets a built in kindred and a built in bond. Kindred is removed and bond is reworked completely.
- Brutal strength increases your pallet breaking speed by 20/30/40%.
- Botany knowledge values are increased to 30/40/40%.
- Killer and survivor mains get along (I'm neutral again.)
2. either tweaked or as is. You can work around it.
3. agreed, it shouldn't be a free escape one caught
11. That'd be nice for solo players
14. Yeah ^^ Everyone should try both sides and play both imo -

What rank is your killer? Some people are awful, but not everyone. Keep your head up and you're bound to find nice opponents, too. I changed it after the fact. I forgot that hate speech is protected technically. Doesn't mean people can't react to it and you can't face consequences because of it, but is a slippery slope when the government tries to limit what you say with stuff like that. Still, a company can legal hold people accountable for hate speech. We're on their platform.Tucking_Friggered said:@fluffybunny said:

That depends on what country you live in. In the USA there is no hate speech as we have the freedom of speech and can say anything, regardless of offense taken as long as life and limb are not in imminent danger for doing so. Do not yell bomb on a plane, do not yell fire in a crowded theatre are examples but yelling for a mob to kill a criminal isn't nor is calling for violent revolution against the government.

In an ideal world, we would need to rework nurse. It isn't impossible to get away or to waste time with a nurse, but it is very difficult. She has a massive difficulty curve, too, so it's fair that she's the strongest. If we make her equal to other killers, we would also need to make her easier to learn and to play.
