ideally it's more efficient, since the killer loses momentum while recovering from a whiff. Tho, it's clearly better running instantly if you think the killer saw you, rather than trying to make him whiff.
-
not without perks. Basically pop ruin bbq are sadly a must on every red rank killer if you want to have a chance of winning.
-
yeah I've never understood why people (who clearly put enough dedication into the game to prestige multiple times) don't want to prestige. like, you're gonna waste many bloodpoints on killer no matter what, since most of them are add-on dependant, while survivor's perks are strong enough at tier 1 that even a level 20 build can still be viable.
-
imo, this "bug" that you can't see the loadout of a survivor who has switched is probably some feature that they're planning to add to avoid survivor switching...
-
I mean they were balanced in 2016 around that fact actually. The same goes for old BnP and insta heal. But nowadays, with easier bloodwebs, or bbq and wglf or offerings, this is no longer true.
-
I don't know if you know how influent survivors can be into these kinds of stuff. Think about legion nerf, survivors know they're the power role, hence they can keep asking for nerfs and eventually get their prize.
-
I mean, it's so hard to understand that the rift is designed to be tedious and generate money? They'll never increase the amount of rift shards given.

I mean sure the combo is strong but you can not deny it became meta due to what killers do. Vault build grew in popularity from ayrun and it's not meta.
yeah sure. The meta is defined by both roles. Since looping is meta, nurse, spirit and Freddy are meta, since they can end chase quicker. Same goes for enduring spirit fury or dead hard being meta, chase related perks. If stealth will become meta, then iron will and calm spirit will became meta, same goes for stridor and whispers or doctor.
-
ds unbreakable is a combo too strong not to be used. That's it, these people can keep making other people look dumb cause they use bamboozle on billy (or old ruin on billy, while that very people used it on spirit, but that's another story), but in the current game state there is literally no point in not running meta if you want to win. The same applies to stridor spirit or bbq-pop and other killer's combos.
-
I mean, sure. But some times there's literally not skill involved with disgusting setups like shack window into long wall window jungle gym, or L T into jungle gym. Most of the time the only skill you need is being conscious of how strong the setup is and that it's better getting hit just to preserve the pallet.
-
hell yeah, simple and straight to the point. Way better than over exaggerated moris like Deathslinger's or ph

LOL what? So having a totem exist which is not something you have to actively do is somehow a requirement but everything I listed for BT which is something the survivor has to actively be away of when using the perk is a condition???
By this new logic you're running (which is totally opposite of your original definition), I can say that being on the ground and not being picked up by the killer is my requirement for unbreakable, because if the killer picks me up, my perk is gone. Just like you saying if a survivor cleanses it, the perk is gone. That doesn't negate the fact that the perk works without you putting in any effort to make it work. You can't just change your definition because the perk can be removed.
no. You need to keep the totem lit, if it's cleansed it's gone, that's the requirement, keeping an eye even onto something else than gen and survivors. If the killer picks you up, the perks can still be used, as long as you're on the ground. If ruin would work without the totem requirements then sure, it would fit in the that category, but that's not the case.
I guess you're confusing the passive advantages that ruin gives without you doing anything specific than keeping the survivors off gens, with its requirement.

So by your definition, why did you list Ruin as a perk that has a "requirement"? You don't have to do anything for ruin to activate, it just does.
And like the other person said, Adrenaline requires that you complete all 5 gens.
And then you didn't list BT, but that perk requires you to be in the killer's terror radius which can be negated by so many things (Tinkerer activating, a stealth killer going back into stealth mode, a killer like Deathslinger or Hag with a small terror radius being just far away enough, Insidious, whatever the Plague perk is where hitting the obsession makes you lose your terror radius, being asleep against a Freddy which is still BS, etc)
ruin is a hex, you cleanse it, ruin is gone. That's the requirement, having still the totem lit, great advantage for sure, but still a hex.
as said adrenaline is so strong that its requirements are kinda nullified, it should be the same logic behind hexes, high risk (not being sure to gain advantage from it) high reward, but its rewards are too good.
as said, bt has no requirements, only conditions to be met, i. e. being in the killer's TR. You can give as many extra hits to the people you save as you want, as long as you're in the killer's TR.
-
I guess it's fun waiting 60 seconds when the last survivor gets the 4%, that's probably why 4% into ds is still a thing I guess (I'm fine if paired with deliverance).
-
sure. I don't see how this idea could possibly go wrong.

Survivors' don't have meta perks that have requirements that need to be worked on/
*Proceeds to list Adrenaline, a perk that has a requirement that has to be worked on to activate*
the effect of adrenaline is so absurd, being multiple perks at once, that kinda nullify its requirements.

Before I even go in on how ridiculous this sounds, what is the difference between "conditions" and "requirements" to you?
requirements=breaking pallets for spirit fury/hooking someone to get pop or bbq, unhook someone first to use deliverance, cleansing a totem to use inner strength,
conditions to be met=being slugged to use unbreakable, being injured to use dead hard or being stunned to use enduring. Perks that gives you advantage just because yes, there's not a reason why but: you can get yourself up for free, or break pallets faster, and so on..
-
the major difference is that most killer's meta perks have requirements and need to be worked on (spirit fury, pop, ruin, bbq, and such), while survivors' don't (unbreakable, dh, sprint burst, borrowed time, adrenaline). inb4: conditions to be met and requirements are different things.
-
either drop pallet early or abuse the backwards vacuum

everyone else besides you cares
then I'd suggest you to reevaluate your priorities if you think that 5k bps can make a difference.
-
dying on first hook it's not funny, fine. Does giving you 5k bloodpoints, which is literally nothing, make it better? Same goes decreasing killer bloodpoints if he camps, who cares?
-
Best: Myers, Freddy, patch 2.00 (clown release), map rework, cross play
Worst: devs, 2 years anniversary tournament, legion rework, skins, freddy nerf.

It's not about not having a life lmao. For an example, DBD is the only game I play. I've tried other games but only enjoy DBD and it's been this way since 2017. Does this mean I've been playing all day every day for the last 3 years?
I think you know the answer.
Don't be ignorant.
Prestiging every character p3 lvl 50 with all perks takes an enormous amount of efforts (you're playing it since 2017, and almost reached this "goal" just now), if you're willing to trash all your time put in it, just to get a skin, then this game means a little bit too much for you. I really can't think about one single reason why someone should do it, unless selling the account.
-
it's so funny seeing people for the 3rd time still believing that they fixed hitboxes (just like with dedicated servers)
-
LMAO, had this bug over a year ago. Spaghetti code strikes back!
-
you might as well receive a gold trophy that says "I don't have a life".

It's not about this being matches coming from a streamer, but that it's 50 games in a row which is a fairly big sample size. If all you take from this post is only the typical "a streamer said or did so, so it has to be true", then you missed the point of this thread.
noob3 did the same thing. Was that any explicatory about how the game worked? hell no, because he started from green ranks, bringing keys and old instas and with his friend literally sacrificing himself to let noob3 live.
same goes for this streak. Hag is known to be good, so I'm not that impressed, but we all know that killers win only because survivors make mistakes. Against the top cut survivors, you won't get a single hook. Which is why the streak (and whatever streak) is invalid (also rng, swf percentage, maps, gameplay., should be considered)
-
mirror Myers is trash, he's slow and map dependant. Pro tip, if a build is map dependant, that build is not good. Also, Myers on Hawkins suck, because you can just keep healing at those upper structures with the stairs and the dropdown (or that area where there's like that portal thing), eventually winning the game.
-
do you mean for real or just for the meme? because I've seen and heard about many friendships broken by this game, especially in SWFs.
-
obligatory "the game is balanced because streamer 'proved' it" thread.
-
the real solo queue build is left behind + key, hiding all game. 100% win rate.
-
yes, it would be a good idea, but *BREAKING NEWS*: devs' only goal is making the rift as grinding as possible, which is why these changes are not likely to come.
-
they need to buff mediocre perks to made them meta, just to see how the game evolves (i. e. sloppy butcher --> now even the recovery speed is slowed, vigil --> now exhaustion recovers while running, like I know these buffs are pretty huge, but still they need to shift meta), and nerf to the ground meta perks.
at this point it's pretty boring playing at red ranks, being forced to use an exhaustion perk, then decisive, leaving no space to imagination if you want to win.
-
no. Because you either give survivors such abysmal unique buffs, up to the point where the buffs are pointless, or people will start picking up the most efficient survivor.
-
when there's the chance to gain advantage from it. Mostly if I have an instadown killer or the survivors are injured and I can down them kinda fast (like with spirit)
-
no: old ruin granted a passive slowdown no matter what you were doing, while new ruin grants an active slowdown, you need to take survivors off the gens (plus it kinda helps tracking, like not seeing sparks means someone is working on that gen); but old ruin was better by definition.
also, you're argument is that survivors play badly against new ruin, which doesn't necessarily mean new ruin is better.
-
because it was overused, without even acknowledging the reason why it was so used in the first place...
-
sometimes on Lery's doors can now spawn at the same side, which makes it kinda reliable. But yeah, indoor maps have the built-in second chance escape, except maybe for Midwich, since the doors are in a straight short line.
-
apparently every killer has the same lunge range. But yeah, I'm pretty sure Freddy has a higher lunge range than normal, it can't be always a coincidence.
-
slugging is the one of strongest strategies killers have. It's high risk high reward, when one survivor gets picked up, getting dead hard-ed might cost you the match, imagine what happens when they have soul guard.
tl;dr, it destroys and already fragile strategy such as slugging.
-
awful idea in a game like this, where pip requirements are ######### and unbalanced. You would only get even sweatier lobbies and once you reach rank 1 most people would just stop playing to get the reward.

Making a killer less powerful and/or more difficult means you need less skill to play them? Seems like the opposite to me.
by skill I meant the skill cap. If you make a killer less performant and adaptable to various situations, it will always come down to M1 action, where the skill cap is low to non-existent, after you learn red glow mindgame, zoning and similar, there's not much left. In the end you'll not become a good Blight, you'll became a good M1 killer. This is why the worst killers have low skill cap and are merely M1 killers with few changes.
-
he can easily take a chew of the skyscraper-high grass on yamaoka.
-
devs are clearly trying to delete any kind of skill and power bending with killers. Examples are how they nerfed billy and nurse so that they can't use their powers both for map control and chase. This killer has to use his power only for mobility and chases are only boring M1 action, which is the saddest part.
-
well, high reward no requirements perks are way better than mediocre reward balanced requirement perks. That's why people run meta and that's why devs need to shake the meta differently than keep adding perks.
-
the only people who care about graphics are the financial aim of BHVR. Nowadays you need a good graphic to gain more public, but everybody at high ranks plays dbd with low graphics.
-
tbh the game came up to a state when you need to power creep perks.
-
pretty bad. It's obvious why it doesn't boost the repair speed, but boosting repair speed is the only way this perk could become niche.
-
people like to create bonds with fictional characters that aren't real.
-
- maps are getting reworked, only at snail speed (for example the dbd account showed a screen of what it looks like the yamaoka shack, so we can expect a yamaoka rework);
- yes but no, you need to hard tunnel 1 survivor, leaving everybody else untouched to use efficiently a mori, not a big problem;
- people tend to play more the female characters and the characters with more skins, since the most played survivors get more skins, this is kinda a vicious circle...
