every perk or power that relies on survivors doing something it's not really good. Sadly, there's no reason to run this combo over undying ruin...

That’s not always true.
The Devs have been pretty stoic on their stance regarding NOED, because of their feelings that survivors need to treat dull totems as an important second objective.
Undying only further cements the emphasis that dull totems are not benign, and they are an important secondary objective.
ok if you say so, but I'm saving the thread, we'll talk about that in the future :)

Again, survivors just need to not ignore dull totems. Undying has none to little power depending on what dull totems remain (and how many other Hexes are equipped).
Survivor taps a gen to see if Ruin is active? Decides to search for the Hex? Spots dull totems on their search for Ruin, but ignores them because they’re not a Hex? Well that’s on the survivor for being an idiot by not thinking “just in case the killer has Undying”
it doesn't matter if there's counterplay? don't you get it? if survivors complain they will get what they want, period. They're the majority of the players, they have more power. basekit billy was fine, but they nerfed him. Same goes with nurse. Or old legion.
-
yeah, devs sometimes really seem out of this world. Some changes or additions are really stupid, like old mother's helper, or the new technician, like, of course technician sucks, there's no way you're gonna make it good without completely changing it, but the new version it's pretty strange. It's a noob perk fine, but it hinders new people even more, so... yeah pretty bad.

Undying doesn’t need a nerf. Survivors just need to stop ignoring dull totems.
oh, they will nerf it trust me. Undying + ruin + tinkerer has spread out far too much to be ignored. They're balancing the game around yellow to green ranks, people who can't find totem. The nerf will happen.
-
literally the reason why the killer role is bearable is because most survivors are trash.
-
I mean, they nerfed pop because clearly they can't nerf undying right now, since it's boosting a lot the dlc sales.
-
yeah, they milked him enough apparently, so they can just gut him.

To make customers happy? I can never reach the end of a Pass, and it leaves me upset. I already paid for the game (twice) all the DLC (twice) a plethora of extra outfits on two systems, AND the pass itself. I now have to buy my way to the end as well? What nonsense is this?
I finished the Paladins pass with only minimal grinding and with PLENTY of time left over! Yet, conversely, the DBD pass I'm like halfway through, with no means to boost progress, even though I'm completing all the challenges I can. This doesn't seem right to me.
*Oh and the Paladins pass had 120 levels...
the rift is made to squeeze as much money as possible, sorry if I broke your ideal world where devs create the season pass to make people happy. Since the rift purpose is totally money milking and since it offers only skins and no in-game advantages, it's literally the last thing we should complain about.

What I'm saying is that ONLY IF YOU BUY the Premium track should the rift remain open. That way bragging rights remain intact and casual players / players that for whatever reason cannot complete the rift within the slim amount of time are not punished for purchasing a product.
I suppose for those players they are expected to not only buy the Premium track but buy each level they missed due to being a casual player. Capitalism sux.
Regardless I won't be buying this one because the cosmetics are just meh over all. I've bought and completed the 2nd and 3rd one but this one. nah.
I'm sorry, but with the Rift their intent it's not rewarding premium track buyers, rather, as already said, making people FOMO, ultimately making them buy tiers. as you said, it's capitalism, the goal it's making the most money possible.
-
the reason why season passes have to be completed in a certain time it's to make people FOMO, hence forcing them to buy the premium track and tiers. Devs have literally no good reason to leave the rift open for extra time.

As we know, SWF was planned from the start. Also "lack of information in mind"... Thats why there is a Chat in the Lobby before the game? Only because nobody writes into it at the start, does not mean that the Survivors should lack information. The possibility to share the Perks is present.
@Topic:
Most likely to avoid Lobbydodging. So the same reason why Ranks are not displayed anymore to the other Survivors, which was a case due to a Bug. I liked this feature, because I at least knew if I would need to be more optimal or not, if there was a Rank 16-David in my team.
And well, players might dodge Lobbies if they see that you have Self Care or WGLF without BT or stuff like that. Playing No Mither would probably be impossible as well.
lack of information because you don't know where everyone is unless you're directly speaking to him. You don't know if someone is going for the save, doing a gen etc... only recently things have gotten kinda better with the glowing red bar. SWFs was created to boost the game and because people wanted to play with their friends like in any other multiplayer, surely, considering devs current game knowledge, they didn't thought how strong SWF teams could be.

But dbd mobile let's you see your teammates perks in the lobby.
whole different game basically, can't be compared.

If it was designed with people not knowing anything then, again, why could you and still can tell people your builds pre-game in the lobby chat? And console players can message each other their builds if messages are turned on.
I don't think chat was added to write down your build to everyone every game. Sure, you can use it this way, but I think it was added not specifically for this purpose. Rather because most multiplayer games have pre-game or in-game chat.
-

Which is why you can tell people your build pre-game. However with the introduction of cross-play this feature is no longer possible in many situations and hence showing the build may be fine.
Don't forget if solo life improves this means that killers can be buffed, especially if solo improves in a way that doesn't change swf.
I don't know what you're going for here. Literally, the main reason that it's holding back devs from buffing solo q intel-wise it's the role design, period. Which is why they won't add kindred to base-kit or other improvements. Now, if the design it's outdated for the 2020 meta, that's a different story.
-
because the survivor role was designed with lack of information in mind, only after a while SWFs were enabled, completely destroying the original game idea...
-
if a perk costs 2.7k shards it's because it comes from a recently released chapter.
-
nothing. Hard stealth team are mostly impossible to face. Like a 3 gen doc or a forever Freddy, sure, they're not that bad, but they just demoralize you at the point where searching for another match is way better than finishing the current one. Especially if you're huntress and they have spine chill, it will just takes ages, just to find one person, add to the mix a decent looper and the game is ruined.
-
pretty braindead build, works on basically everybody
-
yeah, I mean the only real challenges are Ace's and the devour hope one; other than that the average "play x matches"...

I'm talking about 2019 january-july
Read carefully I said year ago not 2
January 2019 was around legion patch, anti heal wasn't meta yet, it became finally meta with plague release, march 2019 people started to learn how to loop efficiently (learning the spirit fury+ enduring). Then during like April Ash came, with his pay to win perk, and maybe Ghostface came during that period.
during that period people were still trash, accomplishing to lose with all the resources they had, something it would be impossible these days.
-
@FFabeq said:
i remember like 1 year ago killers and survivors where more skilled at red ranks, now it's just tunneling, facecamping with a mori, or survivors who don't loop the pallets or farm their teammates 6/10 games
this is the most wrong thing I've ever heard. before spirit got released it was so common to get the hit and instantly the pallet drop, then when spirit fury became meta most people realized how to play efficiently, same goes for the anti heal meta. Tunneling was probably even harder back then with obsession ds. You probably don't remember how DbD was.
-
survivors are designed to have built-in second chances, hatch, 4%, hatch closing... so it's understandable that they have many second chance perks. The issue it's that their second chances perks are WAY too much strong in the game.
-
who cares?? they made locked skins to make you spend 10$ flat. Apparently too many people for their likings bought only some pieces. Also, there's an excuse they invented about cosmetic clipping that nobody really cares, but ehi, money over all.
-
bro, that tournament it's not official. the guy who organized it legit thinks that clown is better than nurse and that bbq it's the most op and busted perk for killer: guess what? nobody played clown and there was like 1 bbq in the whole tournament.
also, saying "in tournaments" it's not an argument, because there aren't many out there and everybody makes different rules (see the botb where the scoring was heavily survivor sided).
-
you're punishing people because they want to play with their friends. Sure on paper SwF are very strong, but there are also trash team, they play for fun. Impossible idea to realize.
-
that's next level. Like getting that 0.01% of not going into the design map, that's nothing compared to this.
-
their code came up to a point where there's really nothing to do, spaghetti at its finest. If you change something, most likely a butterfly effect will bring back old bugs, like year old bugs, or just create new bugs that we never had issue before.
-
maybe they're tunneling just for the sake of winning? the only real tunnel/mori wave is against blendettes or Lisa when that lackluster skin was released.
-
if you really want to lose time you can just wait til the crows spawn, then get the grab.
-
I mean, it's not that great if you look from another prospective. Sure, undying + ruin is gonna be 100% the new meta, the new corrupt + pop. But it's just another band-aid fix to the hex mechanic. Adding perks that solve core game issues isn't very healthy.

They are different things. If you are going to argue against some one use the facts instead of twisting them.
Its small, but it negatively effects your whole stance if you can't even be bothered.
yes, maybe having a wife or a girlfriend is different. But having a child seems a pretty obvious hint (inb4, unborn child, does that changes anything somehow?)

Felix wasn't married.
How have 2 people in this thread stated that he had a wife when he doesn't have a wife?
"Eventually, Felix's girlfriend announced that he was going to be a father"
oh no, I said he had a wife, while she was only a girlfriend. That's absolutely changes everything.

Felix had a girlfriend correction.. and a majority of the community agrees that Felix defenitly isn’t straight not to mention lore making a point to say he frequently drank and partied whos to say he hasn’t expiremented during that time too but anyways... meg, dewight, Kate, David and nea all have very popular gay ships or are just popularly assumes to be lgbt..
the community agrees on what base? it's like the meme that Dwight and David are a couple, despite living in completely different countries (and who knows, maybe times). That's the point, you wrote down an entire shopping list where you chose the sexuality randomly, like making every female bi or lesbian seems rather a fantasy to me. Why should Jeff be pansexual, any hints?
you can believe whatever you want, create your own story, just don't say "x characters are this and that, because many people said so, based on nothing proved, and many people saying the same thing it's the truth".
-
seems like you're making deliberately almost everybody not straight because that's a cool feature to have in a videogame, my god, how can you even come out with such conclusion when the characters lore is so bland (except claudette, that might be reasonable), like Felix had a wife, seems pretty obvious to me.
-
for once leaksbydaylight was wrong??
my god, whoever runs the site literally sells smoke. The only thing they can do is dig into game files to found skins, period. How many leaks/supposition were given? New killer is gonna be werewolf, because the teaser was released the same day of an old slasher classic (like devs really were this careful), wrong the church map is getting reworked, wrong. The chapter 16 is gonna be candyman, because the actor started following on twitter, wrong. Chapter 16 killer is gonna be pinhead, because Cote said it's his favorite movie and the anniversary color scheme is the same of the hell raiser cube, wrong.
do not follow the leaks, they create fake hype to generate traffic on their site (of course with ads, because why not)

Unless he is Running noed. Or the team is a solo team.
The biggest problem with hook Camping is that its too effective against solo teams, especially when the killer is Running noed.
yes. if the team is trash even bad strategies like hard camping work, so where's the problem? the strategy itself or the team?
-
just do the gens and the killer get only 1 kill.
-
left behind + key has been in the game for a while now.
-
nothing. I'm sorry but if you get offended by somebody on the other side of the world mashing a button it's your problem. As long as the bm stays in match and doesn't fall into the witch hunting category, it has to be accepted as a game consequence.
-
people often misunderstand low chase interaction/low fairness with being OP.
-
that's why he needs to change his attitude towards this game and eventually the game itself will help him.
-
and I've seen so many game lost/won because the average survivor doesn't understand the importance of not letting the teammate going 2nd state/dying, unwilling to do a trade or even take a hit.
-
it's probably true, there was once a post pointing out the person Nea is based on...
-
actually the saloon nurse game showed how tunneling is sometimes necessary to handle certain games: taking out fast the Zarina, eating the ds was essential to get 2k and multiple hooks
-
it's funny probably for the same reason why it might be funny watching someone slipping or gettin lightly hurt (make yourself the psychological explanations). As for the game, t bagging is "useful" to break focus, as well as flashlight clicking.
-
none, just common knowledge. They won't waste the resources put into it and there's no way they just forgot to revert the change back.
-
that's the point. I think they're still trying to make mmr work out, so they're still gaining data, hence you can't switch killers.
-
you need a forever Freddy detox session
-
insidious is just a bad perk and badly designed. It's not viable at red ranks in chase, since it takes ages to proc, you can use it only on certain loops and decent survivors can easily tell when the killer actually leaves the loop or has suppressed his terror radius (like GF, pig or tinkerer/insidious)
-
I mean both ranking systems sucks. a 5 gen chase isn't pip-worthy for the game, for example. as well as a tight killer game can be screwed cause the last survivor gets hatch (and instead of a iridescent you get a silver)
-
cheater. Since he one shot you and because he downed you, then he walked at you to pick you up (when it's lag you either get teleported at killer's feet, or the killer gets teleported to you).
