me and my friends joke around and have fun in the game so we sabotage whenever we have a toolbox if we can. Either way, just because something isn’t used often doesn’t mean it should be completely useless. A good sabotage can save that player from dying and even possibly win you guys the game.
if you're in a SWFs team, then you'll only see 1 pustula offerings, IF the killer decides to use it. So it's not really a problem, also it's temporary...
-
nurse hands down. What's better: having a power to work around loops (deathslinger, ph) or having a power that completely ignore looping?

To help boost the fog whisperers view count. Also exclusivity creates value. People wouldn't care about the charm nearly as much if it was just handed to them.
but what's the point? it doesn't make sense to willingly drag people out of your own game. This is not a marketing strategy, especially considering that codes were given even to non-fog whispers...

Every killer is viable at every rank, wish people would stop saying that certain killers are "not viable" when that's not true at all. And that Clown build is pretty nasty, I don't see the problem with it. You shouldn't lose many games with that if you're good at killer.
that's the point: it's not the killer itself, rather the whole load out. This shows how the game it's balanced around perks, i. e. ruin + undying that gives gen pressure to killers who don't have it.
-
that's because most killers are not viable and they are perk and add-on dependent. It's like saying that clown with ruin, undying, tinkerer, and with the exhaustion and extra hindering add-ons is viable...
-
if you complete the rift there's no reason not to buy it.

Thats like the worst example ever. Couple months? Those skins came out like 4 days ago. Then had the price discounted by over 100% due to backlash about the event in general not even the cosmetics. There was absolutely zero reason for anyone to expect those outfits to become discounted at least "for a couple of months". I mean its Halloween season afterall they wanted to use them now.
That is bad business plain and simple. Its GOOD business that they lowered the price because of outrage. But terrible business if they don't compensate the people who were willing to do business with them regardless.
you want to know the reason? because devs wanted so. period, they can do whatever they want with their skins. There's no ethics or scam. You just took the L, accept it. They'll never give refunds because they're not even capable of keeping tracks of who purchased said skins before a certain date (legacy restore teaches us something, right?)...
as said, let's make an example: new killer comes out, he has a super meta perk. You don't want to wait for the perk to come out to the shrine and you buy instantly the killer. Then the day after the perk appears on the shrine: would you consider this a scam? no, you're just unlucky.

Yet for a previous stat release, where they gave both all ranks and red ranks, Freddy was STILL on the top for both.
This consistency suggests that yes, Freddy is indeed too strong.
yes, without any informations about the realms, the map layouts, the perk loadouts, how rank is counted (if every player in the lobby have to be red rank, if ranking up after the game counts in this calculation), we can totally draw conclusions from this chart.

Is pretty simple, they have the EULA to defend them but this is a question of principles. Also we are not talking about months, we are talking about 2 days and with a currency that NEVER had any sale.
They can refund the shards for us, the people who play tons of the game and enjoy it. Opening a exception on the EULA for this specific case or they can say "frick you we are right" and keep going.
I didn't DEMAND refund i just said that's the right thing to do ethically.
still, what did they do wrong? they choose the price of their skins, they can change it whenever they want it. This stuff happens a lot of times, in like video games, or streetwear markets. I'm not judging them for using the EULA as an excuse, I don't really see why they should refund people just cause people took an L.
-
not only it's not wrong, it's actually pretty convenient, especially with an instadown killer.
-
there's written very large "ALL RANKS". this alone tells us how worthless are stats, especially considering, as already said, how nurse results as the worst killer in the game and pig one of the strongest, along with ######### doctor, like why are we even considering this again?
-
I mean, I'm sorry to tell you that, for once, BHVR doesn't have any faults. I mean, it's just like when you bought a game day one, then a months after the game gets discounted. You just took the L, period. Why should you get a refund? Wouldn't be the same, like if you bought Blight only for undying, just to find the day after that undying is in the shrine?
-
no, it does not belong to the theme of DbD at all. but we got a Japanese realm and a far west realm, so anything can happen atp.
-
the fact that they literally put multiple questions in the last survey regarding skins, pretty much sums up their priorities. hence, no, it would be stupid of them to make a player satisfaction survey, they don't want to increase the size of the shitstorm.
-
Spotted DbD.
-
it's a common thing that the newest patch breaks something which was fine the previous patch.

I think the 2018 console optimization has been scrapped TBH. Its possible next gen systems were announced and they decided it didn't make sense financially or resource wise to move forward.
"Let's focus on ps5.. everyone will have one by cinco de mayo.." Just speculation, of course.
scrapped? probably but never said a word about it. It probably happened the same thing that happened with dedicated servers: they made a promise with a deadline, without knowing actually how much hard the task was, especially considering that devs are pretty incompetent.
-
they got exactly what the community asked for. The same community that makes hundreds of thousand views on skin leaks videos, the same community that keep bitching about the deathgarden mask or legacy not being obtainable on console, the same community that cries because claudette doesn't have the thong on an upcoming skin, the same community that keeps buying full set or "legendary, more like lackluster" skins.
in the end, the community deserve this.
-
yeah, console players are pretty ignored at this point, can't even imagine what will become the actual old gen optimization (promised around December 2018) when next gen comes out.
-
this thread goes instantly into "my bookmarks"!
-
you made a good point, too much commie-like for my style but still right. devs got blinded by the money and it's cause the same community was willing to be fed with only skins instead of bug fixing, to the point where skins became the priority.
-
they also white-washed the doctor select icon for whatever reason
-
a villain was born...
-
the horror nature is also overshadowed by game design itself: like, is a puking killer really scary? sounds like a childish joke; or even a pinball killer, it's funny rather than scary.
-
because the game gets changed with a rhythm of big chunks at once: i. e. "we're gonna look at billy and LF" everything related to these killers gets looked. So, until huntress gets the same treatment, iri hatchets will still be in the game.
-
because your devour emblem drops from iridescent to silver. Cause the pip system is stupid and needs to be changed.
-
taking breaks it's pretty mandatory in this game. I stopped playing after completing the rift around 11 days before it closed; probably gonna start playing with the mid-chapter.
-
when it's balanced. Deliverance it's the perfect example of a balanced second chance perk.
-
no, too much RNG, too different roles and the bugs can't physically be solved as long as they don't remake from scratch the code.
-
first of all, if you think that distortion is meta, then you don't know what meta is.
secondly, the counter it's RNG, period. Nothing more, find undying first, then ruin. It can literally happen in the first 30 seconds of the game, it's just luck. Or being in a SwF to scout every totems stealthy, basically a similar stalling to the one with corrupt, only smarter to counter the aura reading. But if you've a strong enough team to be so coordinated with totems cleansing, then you might as well power up through ruin.

I just bought the game, should I study before I play?
despite probably memeing, your comment raise a big issue with the game. Despite being always more beginner friendly, there's a lot that you have to learn and it never ends. Along with the community made-up rules, this probably makes the game less appealing to new people.
-
survivors are designed to have seconds chances (maybe to keep the theme of hope in horror movies?), see hatch or the 4%. hence, it's reasonable that survivors have 2nd chance perks, sure, some of them could be a little more balanced (like old MoM was totally awful and probably only a marketing strategy), but I wouldn't say that those perks shouldn't exist.

- he had 7 seconds to get into POSITION. Using Dream Demon right behind a survivor was a dumb move.
- he was fine without add ons
- he didn’t need map pressure. He had all the time in the world to get rid of pallets and keep tabs on what the survivors are doing.
- the slow down was a red herring. Getting survivors constantly repeatedly focused on waking up over and over was the stall strategy.
- old Freddy wasn’t trash. There were many players just trash at using Freddy. They didn’t understand how exactly Dream Demon is supposed to be used, like doing dumb stuff like I mentioned before: using it right behind a survivor rather than use the 7 seconds smartly.
fine, you could drag people to the dream world from a mediocre distance and they couldn't fully see him, so what?
- he totally was add-on dependent;
- in the landscape old Freddy lived, you absolutely could not play slowly, getting rid of the dozens and dozens of pallets;
- waking up was far too easy, you could wake up mid-chase, there was no fear in being asleep;
- still, he was overall miserable. He had no end game pressure without noed + old remember me, hooking near a gate was such a tragic moment, since there's nothing you could do; and it's probably the only killer that made you experience that.
you're talking like survivors had to complete 8 gens back then...
-
I think y'all overhyping old Freddy a bit too much. It wasn't good in any capacity, he had no power, he had to wait 7 seconds to hit someone, he was super add-on dependent (either the 2 blocks or z block and pill bottle, or maybe class photo), he had no map pressure, since the slowdown and the aura reading could be shut down in a matter of seconds, he could get cucked by adrenaline and unbreakable, he had no chase ability, auto-aim cucked him a lot and overall he was insignificant. I could easily remember teabagging in front of a Freddy while I was about to sleep, finishing a gen in front of him, rescuing or being rescue from a hook near the gates.
freddy was straight trash, literally waiting 7 seconds to be a trapless trapper, that's why devs ovebuffed him with the rework.
-
tbh, if I was the big boss, the head of the company, I would:
- utopian solution: realizing how much toxic the game has became, how many people is making angry, tense and feel unworthy, I'd just shut down the whole project, screw the money;
- merciless capitalistic solution: basically the way they're doing right now, skins and rift are the priority, bug fixing only when we have time;
- healthiest solution: either change the entire team, or waste a ######### ton of money to remake the entire code from scratch, like among us. It would probably be a colossal waste of money, considering you should gift back every copy + DLC sold, and the company would probably fail after 4 months. But, that's why I'm not a business man, because I think on what's best for the consumer, not the best for business.

yes when it's the end game all bets are off and I understand the killer camps then,it scummy to camp at 5 4 maybe 3 gen but how fast gen go camping maybe the only way they get a kill.
no, sometimes you have to wait for the guy to get 2nd state, or secure the kill. Especially, if all other 3 survivors are roaming around. As said, if you can't understand some crucial moments during the game, then you have not played enough killer.
-
it's gonna be ######### for every console, at least on PC you can set graphic on low.

Skill checks are hard? Kinda like the crying for the ruin rework.
yeah, devs are balancing the game towards yellow ranks, so that's the reason.
-
if you can't understand why killers camp or have to camp sometimes, then you don't play killer enough.
-
it's capitalism in full motion. It's just pathetic that devs value more skins than entire DLCs, that's pretty sad.
-
basically every skill check. Baby survivors probably cried because skill checks are hard, I guess? despite being a super slow perk, also a hex, and considering that cleansing totems doesn't have skill checks; it's totally a nerf for an already trash perk.

Undying will get nerfed anyways. Too many survs are complaining about it.
yes, once they've milked the DLC sale. Probably after 6 months, so, you have to wait.

Idk, many killers suffer from SB and the initial distance survivors get on them, so I'd say that this perk can be used without hesitation by all stealth killers.
And because you mentioned the ruin+undying combo, people usually run it with Tinkerer, and with Mindbreaker too would make a solid build, 'cause you are undetectable when you aproach the gen, and Mindbreaker could f*ck survivors' SB. Imagine your SB being disabled, while working on a gen, and you see on the last second an undetectable Bubba revving his chainsaw. Slim chances for Mindbreaker to shake the meta, but the situations where you could use this perk definitely incresed which is good.
still, the recover time is pretty small and with ruin undying tinkerer, sure it's not mindbreaker that's making the build strong...
-
totally not meta. there's no point in running mindbreaker over ruin+undying, over pop or over corrupt. Killer's meta is slowdown meta, there's no space for chase perks. Also, 5 seconds is nothing, since you can just recover the exhaustion as the killer approach or mid chase after a pallet stun, and the recovery stop it's not enough to make it meta, just really really niche.
-
what is the point or running mindbreaker over ruin+undying, over corrupt, over pop. None, killer meta completely shifted into slowdown meta, unless a perk is extremely op, there's little to no space for chase ender perks.
-
tell me which perks you think have been buffed enough to shift the meta:
- cruel limits, it will always be trash unless absurd radius increase, since once you lost a gen you want to forget that zone forever, so unless they finish a gen in your face its trash;
- slippery meat, yeah, what's the point of having discount deliverance?
- forced penance, ohh yeah, now somebody is broken after a niche condition in anti heal meta;
- blood pact works only in SwF;
please, enlighten me.
-
yeah, wasn't it obvious from the start? After roughly 8 months a new chapter will be released, and a nerf perk will power crack ruin+undying, and they will nerf the combo to promote the new perk.
-
that's always happened, with like old billy, omega nurse, instaheal, it will happen when moris and keys will get nerfed...
-
no meghead bottom tier: inaccurate tier list.
-
tying perks to the chase mechanic is always a bad idea, considering how much trash the chase mechanic is.
