You got some things wrong:
The Clown
Mobility: 3, Knowledge 2, Lethality: 1The Clown's relative mobility is very strong in chases, now way his lehtality is just 1, it should be 3 imo
The Doctor
Mobility: 1, Knowledge: 5, Lethality: 1It provides no advantage to either of the other two categories.
Excuse me? You're totally ignoring the main use of the shock therapy: preventing survivors from dropping pallets or vaulting. This can end a chase very quickly if used right giving him at least 2 if not 3 in lethality
The Hag
Mobility: 4, Knowledge: 2, Lethality: 1Yeah, no way the hag has a 1 in lethality. If we consider "how quick a killer is to take a survivor from healthy to hooked", she has the potential for a 4 in lethality.
The Nurse
Mobility: 5, Knowledge: 1, Lethality: 1The Nurse's lethality is, on a scale of 0 to 5, 6. She's borderline broken.
The Shape
Mobility: 0/2, Knowledge: 3/1, Lethality: 0/4Because his mirrors addons exist, his knowledge potential is 5
The Spirit
Mobility: 3, Knowledge: 2, Lethality: 1Her knowledge is 0-1, for obvious reasons. Her power is strong in chases, so her lethality is a 3 imo.
-
In my opinion people tend to exaggerate about her skillcap. She just need a bit of practice with blinks, but once you get it she's the easiest to play for the simple fact that most mindgames can be countered with a single blink. I also find her power gives many "second chances", so unless you make a big mistake you can correct it.

You're just complaining. Leatherface introduced some incredibly useful perks and a pretty mid-tier killer as did the Saw DLC.yes the perks are good but thier talking about his power and how he works why is micheal the only one with speical chase music? why cant every killer have special chase music
I don't remember Freddy or Leatherface having their own theme. About Saw, people keep bringing Hello Zepp, but imo that is too melodic and wouldn't fit the game.

Since gates are powered by generators, it can be assumed electricity has a relevant role in the Entity's trials, but how did trials work before humans became able to use (and understand) it? Did the Entity even exist before the XIX century?
-
It's a perk. Use it however you want if you feel like you need it.

Keep the hatch and let it spawn closed. Survivors need to bring a key to open it or find one during the match.
If 3 survivors are dead, let a key spawn in a chest. If all chests have been looted, reset a random chest. This would make keys more valuable, maps more valuable (mark position of chests and hatch once found) and coin offerings more valuable.
Altough a good idea, this wouldn't solve the problem of the hatch standoff.
Survivor has the choice to search the key and the hatch (2 steps) or finish the gens.
Killer has the choice to search the hatch, a chest and the gens.
I don´t think there would be any standoffs anymore, since survivors would have to find the hatch after getting the key.Imo it doesn't change much from what we have now, it just adds an additional step for survivors, but after the key is found it's all back to the good ol' hatch standoff.

This game has third person view for survivors as a core mechanic, changing it to first would make it terrible for survivors simply because the game was build around this difference between killers and survivors. I once thought it could be interesting to limit the camera during repairs, but if you think about it skillchecks are there to limit the survivors' ability to look around freely in a more clever way, since skillchecks switch your focus from the surrounding.
In any case I wonder why some "unbiased" players play this game if they don't like the fact that survivors have third person view. It's one of the first thing you are told about this game.ps I'm pretty sure the devs already tested different camera solutions during the game development, it's not that they woke up and said "let's make survivors third person!". The one we have now it's probably the most optimal.
Camping is a core mechanic, SWF wasn´t even intended as a mechanic. The game changed over time.
Make it optional for people who want more jump scares (hardcore mode) or an alternative for people who regularly play with No Mither. The game changes, but the core remains always the same, that's what makes the game's identity.
And hardcore mode would be nice, but it should change more than just the survivor's pov. For example the chase music shouldn't cover most of the killer's noises preventing you to know where he is by sound. -

Seeing how the discussion went, I'd like to add something: saying NOED is a "noob perk" doesn't mean it is OP, nor that it can't be used by good killers in some specific builds, and doesn't exclude that survivors too have noob perks on which they rely. It only means it's a noob-friendly perk that can help a lot when things go bad for the killer.
-
The answer is simple: because it has the potential to let bad killers get some kills in the end game despite their obvious inability to do so without that perk.

Guys tell me does the PTB version of Sole survivor counters BBQ ?Iirc the new PTB version works with multiples of 24, so at 1 token it doesn't have an effect since the minimum BBQ range is 40, at 2 tokens its range is 48m so you have 8 bonus meters to not be spotted. The 3rd token is obtained only after BBQ activated, so the 3rd token does nothing against BBQ.
Essentially if you thought of using SS to counter BBQ, you shouldn't use it because it's not worth it. -
Agree, it would be a nice QoL change.
@Blood_Coil_Viper said:
And I believe Bamboozle did show the timer in the PTB before realease but that never made it to the full game.Yeah right... I wonder why they removed it.
-
Yes but it's more useful in chases to prevent sprint perks aside from Sprint Burst from being used. And considering SB seems less common than the others nowadays it seems a good tradeoff imo.
-
You must consider Wraith is one of the first killers, so his lore is very vague and rough. His appearance and power imo are not tied to the lore, it's simply how the Entity chose him to be as a killer after it took him into its realm.
-
You don't get banned for being boosted.
-
It happens. Yesterday I met a rank 2 Leatherface that played like a rank 20: he couldn't find anyone even though he had Rancor and Bitter Murmur, when he found a Claudette he tried to tunnel her but I helped her escape with a couple blinds at the right time. It was embarassing and I was sorry for him, I felt bad everytime I blinded him (I did it to avoid the snowball effect even a bad LF can cause, especially because I was sure he had NOED and was right). In the end he managed to kill the obsession because they were cocky and probably forgot about Rancor.

Survivor skill relies on being able to make the most loops out of a window or loop.It can even include mindgames and strategies to fool the killer and loose them. Not everything is looping.
@Terrortot said:
Killer relies on survivors making a mistake somehow on said loop to be downed, unless your playing and good at the nurse, in which case i guess it really doesn't matter. If you think so you're probably doing a bad job as killer. You job is to induce survivors to make mistakes, if you just wait for them, then good luck.

Only the 2 huge entrances.Look better.

I think a little boost to gen regression could be nice, but not so much as to make it 1 charge/s, that's too much.
For the gen tapping, I'd like if survivors needed to do small "buffering" just like sabo, in which they move toward the gen but the repair doesn't start yet. -
@HellDescent said:
@Oron It definitely does for them. I've never played a game that broken and unbalanced. You're lucky. Besides DbD I mostly play Warframe and Paladins and they are plagued by bugs more than DbD.

Why should they put in the PTB a change they don't like and they wouldn't implement? It would make no sense.

I think Botany Knowledge and Alert could enter the meta after 2.3

His passive is bad, you just need to crouch or use lockers to counter it. There's a reason there are no Doctors that rely on his terror radius in high ranks.

About Prove Thyself, I think it would be better if for every survivor near you great skillcheck zones are bigger by x% (you show off you skill to others by landing great skillchecks).

It is a buff. A substantial one at that. In case you have forgotten what Beast of Prey currently does:Your lust for a kill is so intense that your connection with the Entity is momentarily lost, making you totally unpredictable. The Red Stain disappears for 15/20/25 seconds when Bloodlust activates. Beast of Prey has a cooldown of 120 seconds.
You will notice that no cooldown is mentioned in the rework. That alone makes it a buff. The 50% bonus bloodpoints for hunting is nothing to sneeze at either. Forget the blood lust nerf. The point of this perk is to make it more difficult for survivors to dodge your attacks when the red stain is gone. Is Beast of Prey going to be meta now? No. But at least it isn't complete and total garbage like it is now.
I think BoP could be good on M1 killers like Trapper and Freddy since they can get bloodlust more reliably (using powers reset bl)

@Lowbei Just a question: in which cathegory killers should earn carry points? I don't know you, but most of the time I reach the cap in most of the cathegories, except Sacrifice if I can't kill everyone. I can understand you point of view of giving to all or to no one, but personally I think on killers those points would be "wasted" and would just help reaching the cap sooner, while on survivors they would allow to go beyond the current limit of 5-6k on an 8k cap in survival points which I find a bit unfair.
-
That's because you played for a rank that doesn't mean anything except for matchmaking. Try playing to just enjoy the game, maybe you could, you know... enjoy the game.
-
It's part of the killer's power, you just need to learn to play around it.
-
The problem with Insidious is that any "creative" use of it is good for memes only, but is not effective. The only (sometimes) useful use is to camp, but even then it's very easy to counter.
If anything, it could receive some sort of buff like making the heartbeat change slowly or suppressing it for x seconds after moving, so it could be used more for mindgames. -
Are you sure you were aiming in the right spot? Sometimes it's easy to miss by just a bit.

I once found one under the big rock on the right. It could be seen only by a certain angle. No screenshot though.

I don't like the idea at all. A new prestige level would mean put to waste all the effort to max a character or not being able the enjoy the new bonuses.

Yeah it would be nice. Currently there are very few sources or Survival points, this could be one (and it would make sense).

Killers get points for hooking survivors. In a certain way they get points for carrying survivors.

The only reason I can think of is they do not know how to differentiate between SWF and solo queues after the game.why would doing it for solo queues be a problem?
False reports clogging up the system, perks and addons can make every game different, if someone uses a Killer addon to see through walls for example they shouldnt get reported for wall hacking, they want players to see what each one was using at the end of the game so certain things happening made sense, thats not the problem it all comes down to SWF abusing that info when someone dies.
Yeah that could be a problem, might be the reason they still haven't implemented it yet. But they seriously should work on it because in high ranks perks such as Bloodwarden are unusable most of the time.
-

OP? Not at all. For swf it doesn't add nothing that voice comm wouldn't do, and at extreme ranges its utility is very limited. It's a nice perk for solo survivors, and the fact it can enter the meta is only good since the meta needs to be diluted.

Nah, NOED is fine. It's easily countered, people just need to learn that there are not only gens in the map. The new change is good because NOED 1/2 was literally a joke.

I have never regretted a ship name so hard.
Wait a second, if Jake is so individualisric, then why does he grab Claudette's hand and drag her to the generator in the intro? If he really wants to be alone he was fully capable of running away, ditching her, or gesturing for her to leave.
Well, he needs her to repair the gen faster. If you notice Claudette tried to go back to help Meg, but he just wanted to repair the gen and get out.
I mean one of Jake's perks is saboteur. Which is a perk that prevents his teammates from being put on hooks. I don't think he is too individualistic to be with Claudette.
I always thought he would sabotage to not get hooked himself. Nothing in his lore/perks suggest his an altruistic guy. Not saying he can't be, but I think he is very individualistic.
