I think with the right setup an SWF team could use this to just annoy the killer. Besides, while it makes sense for David King it's still a teachable that can be used by others, but it doesn't makes sense that the tiny and weak Dwight or Claudette could stun a killer double their size.
-
Well they're the only ones at a loss, the killer still gets to remove a survivor from the match.
-
I think the real strenght of Rancor is its synergy with most obsession perks, so that you can ignore the obsession the whole match to get the benefit from those perks and still be able too kill them easily at the end.
-
Myers struggled to kill Laurie, imagine if he had to face 4 Lauries at the same time.

Probably isn't hard to host for what, 50 people right now?
I think that's the point. DbD would need huge servers while F13 can do fine with anything. They're not really comparable.

then you must be a casual player !!
Right, since I disagree with you on how common an Ultra Rare addon for a killer rarely used in high ranks is, I must be a casual... makes sense.

most High Ranked Killers run Hex Ruin and the maps have poor spawning like the groaning store house .. when I spawn in the store house survivors are either by the tower or Behind the shack so it's an instant easy catch right from the get go .So with Moris being abundant and these op add-ons.. the game just feels being unfair and one way favored esp if there is a Mori Ritual .
it happens too often .
First, what rituals have anything to do with this? Second, do you really want me to believe Ruin is a problem in high ranks? If it's not cleansed in the first minutes or if survivors are not powering through it it's just you being extremely lucky.
-
Imo the concept is good, it just needs a buff to the numbers to make it more impactful
-
Yeah it would be nice ideally, but only just a few addons could be shown that way and they could cause some issues with skins. It would probably be too much work for a very little and mostly cosmetic thing.
-
What? I faced a tombstone Myers once in my DbD career. The addon is really hard (especially at high ranks where gens are repaired at lightning speed) to use effectively so people don't use it a lot.
-
I think keys have potential, they need a bit of a buff (the broken ey in particular) and maybe some more addons to make them do more.
-
It makes sense actually, but I'd love to see something like a bonus Xk survival points for being the survivor that lasted longer.

But wouldn't this make the perk worse in a certain way? Sure you can gain speed with every survivor, but you loose it all by just breaking a pallet or hitting a survivor, instead of loosing just one token after hitting them.
I think that if the perk gave you tokens by letting escape a survivor (instead of just the obsession) and you lost tokens only after successfull hits it would be a good perk. -
It's been requested since so much time and so many times that at this point I lost hope they will ever do it.

I understand but as for myself I'd like some type of communication even if a simple "Sorry not today" or "We don't have a release date confirmed yet but we'll keep everyone updated"They never give release dates, why people now assume they should? If people are hysterical and took for granted it was today it's not their fault.

People just assumed it.

True, increasing gen time wouldn't achieve much, that's why many ask for added objectives: to distract survivors from gens. Because the best way to slow dow gen progression is to not have survivors working on them.i dont think secondary objectives will achieve this ethier, totems are secondary and their largely ignored
Yes because most don't consider them important. The point is to give an objective that could rival to gens.

What if instead, in presence of at least one survivor, the great skillcheck zone is increased so that you can prove your skill to them with great skillchecks?

The launch trailer only shows three characters. A guy with a baseball cap who looks like a significantly less nerdy Dwight. A girl who looks like a hybrid of both Claudette and Meg, and a nerdy librarian girl hanging from a hook. I haven’t seen any confirmation that those characters had the same names and backstory as any of the four that were released with the game.
These character designs were the original rough drafts of the three. They probably switched races for the girls, and then decided to make Dwight nerdy to make him more relatable.
That being said, I’d honestly love it if they added the three of them in with different abilities and names/backgrounds. Their designs are unique enough that they could certainly stand out, and possibly even be able to represent some of the quoted characters off of perks and items. One could even be Vigo, though I’d prefer if they gave Vigo a different design then any of those three.
They are the original characters, devs slightly changed their looks after the beta, so newbs always think, that in the trailer there are different characters.
i am not a newb i have over 1000 hours in game and i main nea she is P3 with every perk. they just never confirmed if they were the survivors who were morphed into our original 4
Actually yes, they did. The black girl is Meg and the white one is Claudette. They switched their etnicity to make them less cliché

With No Mither I usually use Iron Will (too loud for stealth otherwise), plus Spine Chill and Resilience for the fast vaults. Dead Hard is not worth because killers always expect it.
-
Once, survivors could see the killer's name/profile. The result was that if the killer had Nurse achievements or high amount of hours survivors would dodge. A lot, way more than killers who dodge for swf or similar.

Nice idea, but survivors would simply not play on the PTB. Since there's nothing for them to gain. We've seen this several times in the past. No huge survivor buff? No interest.
It is a real shame because the PTB is the ideal place for all of this. But I guess survivors always take priority for the devs so yeah.
I think the problem with the PTB is, that there is no real benefit for playing on it. People don't get BPs, rank, shards or anything. So they don't bother, unless it's something exciting as a new killer. But even then, all survivors try to test the killer instead of playing survivor.
We need an incentive for players to actually play both roles on the PTB. Maybe shards or even a small amount of auric cells for X amount of games/time played.
Totally agree.
-
Yeah sometimes, both as killer and survivor, I wonder if people are really having fun. I mean, escaping after 5 minutes without encountering a single time the killer and ending with 10k is not exactly the ideal match for me. It sometimes reaches a point where I need to not do gens to slow the game a bit and make it more enjoyable for everyone.
-
A Doctor main who doesn't know the shock starts 1.5-2 meters away for you, and disregards the importance of bodyblocking paths after shocking a survivor?
Press X to doubt. But seriously, the situation described by you is literally impossible because if you trap a survivor you can't shock them. And loosing collision while the active use of his power... are you nuts? Imagine you shock a survivor at a pallet, they can't drop it so you go to punishment. In the mean time the survivor goes through you while you can't see him because of the killer's fov, goes on the otherside of the pallet and smacks you. Do you really think that would be a healthy change for the Doctor? Have you ever used his power in an active way instead of just to increase madness?

It's being changed because it feels ######### when you get downed before you're given control of your character.Except you shouldn't be getting pulled off to begin with
It's not in the survivor's control, that's the point. Currently most killers would hit the hooked guy and let the greedy survivor get away with their points, which encourages this behaviour. If instead they will be more likely hit while the rescued sprints or Dead Hards away they will probably think twice before trying. So no, imo the change does the opposite of what you say.
Your idea on the other hand would make camping more effective: why use MYC or Devour Hope and go away from hooks to be able to oneshot the unhooker if you can just camp and do the same? -
If a survivor tries to kill himself it's because he lost his hope, so it's of no use to the Entity.

I guess he would become a killer?Since according to the lore survivor that lost all hope of escape are repurposed by the entity as killer.
Where is this come from?
I can’t say where atm, but I’ve read something similar. I don’t think that’s specifically the case though. The entity pushes people to kill instead of survive, but now I am wondering What happens to a survivor who loses all hope, but has no drive to kill either....
Actually that's just speculation, but someone thought it was a good idea to write it in the wiki so people think it's official. What's sure is that no killer we know have ever been a survivor.
Imo hopeless survivors are just discarded by the Entity, since it can't feed off them anymore. I like to think they simply disappear in the fog, but they could just return to the real world or simply dying for good. -
Nurse's Calling gives informations, while Coulrophobia would drastically improve a part of the Doctor's power, which is something perks shouldn't do. There would be no reason for a Doctor to not use that perk.
-
You really think no one ever thought of that? If people don't use it's because wasting a perk slot to counter a survivor perk is stupid, and survivors can still hit the skillcheck reliably, so it's even more of a waste.

Here are my ideas on how to nerf killers, please take this with a grain of salt:Nurse: Can no longer blink through pallets.
Billy: Reduces movement speed when using his chainsaw dash.
Huntress: No has a longer reload animation.
Freddy: Doesn't reveal survivors' auras when they are outside your terror radius.
That's all, I know that killer's are OP at the moment and they require serious nerfs so hopefully this will put them back in line so survivors can get a easy win, ya know?

JK, I was kidding about the killer nerfs, they actually need buffs and maybe some QoL changes! Please make killers scary again because they are so difficult to play against a single survivor, don't get me started on group of survivors!
Oh, somewhat off topic, make Amanda look like this to make survivors actually be scared to have her chase them!
If you seriously believe killers are OP; I recommend trying to rank up with them, Good luck and I will accept your apology in a couple of weeks.
It actually is insane that there are still survivors out there that wanna get freddy nerfed even harder
Someone here didn't read the full post, eh?

Yes, if played right he can be strong, his main problem imo is that he is anti-fun: he's the killer with the most potential to be bullied and his whole power asks survivors to loop him, since stealth and juking are in most of the case useless because of how his power works.
That's a pity because I love the sound he makes with his weapon when he hits someone... I hope the rework makes him more fun for everyone. -
I do.
Personally I think it is kinda balanced. Still a bit in favour of survivors, and endgame perks are a bit mandatory for killers (Bloodwarden is my favourite), but it's mostly a matter of skill.
For example, if I was to play Billy, Huntress or Nurse I mostly get rekt now, but if I play the Doctor or the Trapper I dominate most matches (rank 3 currently): that's just because I don't play top tier killers since months so I'm terribly out of practice with them and I need some time to dust off my skills, which I don't need on other mid tier ones. -
Nope. Flashlight saves are still very much possible, you just need to be more careful with your positioning before the survivor is picked up. It's really just a matter of "git gud"
-
Just a question: have you ever played seriously (so not just for daylies) as the Hag? Because I feel like if you did, you wouldn't propose such ridiculous changes.
-
If you hook people it's not reportable, but if you just focus on stopping gens and don't attempt to kill survivors because they are "trying to bait you" it can be considered taking the game hostage (according to some mods on the Steam forum).
In any case don't expect people to be happy to play "the long game" since after a while it just becomes a nuisance. Also, experienced survivors won't fall for it so don't rely too much on this strategy. -
The idea per se is not bad, but it has the problem of forcing survivors to use medkits (which can be totally countered by Franklin's Demise) instead of other items, and it's a huge "######### you" to solo survivors while SWF would do just fine. Forcing team play in this game is never a good idea.

The way I see it, Bitter Murmur stands to Rancor as Iron Grasp stands to Agitation.

That is not holding the game hostage, you are just being stubborn. Suck it up and try again, it's called achievement for a reason.

I agree pretty much with all you said.
About the end game, I like how it is now. The only times it annoys me is when there is one last survivor and he is just crouching everywhere doing nothing, but the there are many possible simple solutions, like having a default Whispers after x time you kill your third survivor (just an example).
