PSA for everyone complaining about the DLC
The release date being today was a speculation from day one, based solely on the release schedule of Curtain Call. The devs never made any official announcements in that regard, they certainly aren't to blame for you people taking assumptions and speculations for granted.
The Wiki especially, while endorsed by the devs and being the official one, is NOT run by them, but by passionate community members. We too featured the speculated release date, which was clearly annotated as being "not confirmed", in red and bold script, yet some people obviously ignored that.
If you can't read things properly or check your sources, you have absolutely no business complaining about the current situation. The devs are not at fault with this and I'm honestly disgusted by anyone threatening them with review bombs or uninstalls. I'd expect such temper tantrums from a kid in their terrible-twos, but not from grown adults, which you all should be if you play this game.
If that is your reaction to such a situation, you should honestly be ashamed of yourselves.
The devs have neither made nor broken any promises. The roadmap only specified the following:
A Chapter in Summer 2018
A Chapter in Autumn 2018
A Chapter in Winter 2018
A Chapter in Spring 2019
If it comes down to it, they are right on schedule so far.

Ehhh, not to nitpick, but they already broke their own schedule. The Clown was released in mid-June, which was, technically speaking, still Spring. The Spirit should, theoretically, come out before the end of summer (September 21st) rather than Fall.
All that being said, I didn't really expect her today. When they released The Clown, they announced the release date for Tuesday, June 12th ahead of time on Friday, June 8th. I feel like there will be an announcement first, like last time. So I'm expecting next week. Or possibly this Thursday.
Those dates are the astronomical seasons. In popular culture, the meteorological seasons are used, which start about 3 weeks sooner at the start of the months.

Also, I'm actually a little happy they dlc hasn't been released: it gives me a little more time to grind for bloodpoints and iridescent shards before she releases. Currently at 884K and 8330 respectively.
I thought that the fact that they specifically WEREN'T announcing the release on the Stream on Thursday was a pretty clear indication that there would be no DLC today. In fact it's pretty surprising the number of people who expected it, despite there having been no announcement.
Also, considering the hate The Spirit has received, why is everyone so freaked out about it?!
Although, it goes without saying, I'll be spending my £notes as soon as it's released!!!

Soon is a meme though. I've never heard anyone dev say "SoonTM" and actually release it day of.

You claim it's trolling because you don't agree with something. So if there's a code glitch, it's trolling, something doesn't work out right, it's trolling etc. You automatically assume that when they do something you don't like it's trolling.

They see their community (composed in majority of toxic man-child) being hyped for nothing, creating this toxic atmopshere.
Instead of answering : "Not today" they'd rather make the whole shits worse with their "Soon TM".
This one is also often used since release as THE answer to problematic question.

The issue is that if they said not today you'd still have these same whine fest threads and post spamming the forums. Now if people would actually think logically here and remember what I said in one of the 1st flame threads.
That it most likely wouldn't be the 11th but would instead be the 13th Thursday or the 14th Friday. Since Thursday the 13th is RANK RESET DAY. So what better day to release the killer than to do it on rank reset day or the day after. Since Friday night is basically when Sony does it's software updates.

To be fair "seasons" don't really exist as its just something we as humans decided to call these strange periods of time. I mean if the turtle god whose back we reside upon decides to turn us all to ash then I don't think it will mater when they release this DLC.
