  • 5 million is the cap for the main pool of bloodpoints. There is two pools for bloodpoints in this game. The main pool is only filled by bloodpoints you gain from matches and this is the one that is capped on 5mil. The second pool is where all the bloodpoints you get from rewards, quests, codes, challenges, gifts and any other way you can gain them expect normal matches. The second pool has no cap. So you can have over 5mil bloodpoints because the second pool making it going over the 5mil total of both pools. When you use bloodpoints its always taken from the second pool first so you can earn bloodpoints from matches until the first pool hits the 5mil cap but if you after that want to be earning more bloodpoints from matches you need to spend bloodpoints until the total amount is under 5mil as the second pool has to be used totally until the the first pool starts to be used. So in short you will always gain bloodpoints from matches if the first pool is not on the 5mil cap even if you would have more than 5mil because of the second pool taking you over of it.

It would be nice to them to really make it show that you can see how much bloodpoints you have in both pools when you hover over the bloodpoints not just state the cap of the first.

  • He is playable even now as long as you bought him before they lost the license. Still if they can get the license back they will get it back. I don't think they don't have contact to the license holders problem is that currently I think the other game either owns exclusive game license rights or they requested that DBD's license needed to be revoked to them to make their game. Its also quite known that the game company behind the new game basically started blaming DBD of their last game not doing well so they would have personal reason to demand something like that.

  • They could sometimes rotate the variations to be the main map so get some changes might not be bad idea with Badham people might complain less of it.

I think it also has a single player mode so it shouldn't end up completely unplayable and shut down when it dies. But yea i didn't touch TCM and got to watch as it fell apart over time. Not sure if there was a single player mode for that one as well.

No there is no singleplayer mode but TCM is still playable as the servers are still up. Its just not in active development anymore.

Of the topic itself might pass on this one as the devs already soured me on TCM as towards the end everything seemed to be blamed on DBD. Like sorry its not another games fault if you guys can't make a game that would keep people playing it. I did enjoy TCM but even the friend who I played with did not like the devs blaming DBD on their own short comings.

  • The funny thing that the scariest thing for me that I sometimes still think of was not a horror movie but the first episode of the Moomin (1990) animated series. The scene where Moomintroll hid in the magicians hat and it changed him to look like a real troll. When I saw that as a kid it was the scariest thing for me. Nothing else in the series really ever made me scared but that scene where he gets changed and nobody believes him to be Moomintroll until Moominmamma finally walks in and reassures Moomintroll that she of course regonizes her own son. Maybe you could say I have minor athazagoraphobia that I myself realized having because of that scene in kids show.

I also did not like to watch the X-Files tittle sequence. Mainly because of the music made it eyrie and specifically the spot where the human siluette falls into the hand print something in that just made me feel uneasy.

Like I never had big problems of watching horror or scarymovies myself.

Honestly I didn't see it since ages that I wasn't stunned by a palette, I just see a lot that I get stunned a meter away, sometimes even over corners behind a wall. It's pretty impressive to see that.

But I agree that the pickup things from the start was most likely ping.

The only time killer is not stunned by a pallet is when they are in the pickup animation or if they are already stunned by something else. Special case for Nurse that is in her fatigue after blink as that is considered a stun state. I have seen many reports on Betahub of people stating that blinded did not drop a survivor or pallet stun did not work and so far have not seen any video that showed that it happened. They usually are millisecond timing errors where killer is just not out of the pickup animation. Like I am totally open if someone would come with good video that shows that it did not work and maybe way to reproduce it but so far they all have been like I stated earlier people missing the window by milliseconds or even more.

And what is this? There is no pick up and that is not even anyway the same. That is latency between survivor, server and killer and what happened first on things that are happening about the same time. On killers side that it shows it looks like he was meant to be stunned. On survivors side and server side it most likely went more like survivor dropped the pallet before the killer started the lunge and so was not on the area that would cause the stun. Latency and lag causes that kind of things time to time nothing special in there.

  • @Brokenbones said:

    You can't lunge while carrying.

The only logical reason to do it is to try and hit the person pallet saving if they are in front of you, but experienced killers will do it anyway because there's always the SLIGHT chance they hit the tick perfect swing to cancel the pallet stun and you lose nothing by simply trying but stand to gain a lot.

This is a bug that has been in the game for a very long time where you can cancel any pallet stun if you START an action on the same tick you would be stunned. It's not consistent enough to do every time, and I'd say it's quite rare so it's not a huge issue BUT that is the main reason experienced killers auto m1 if they think a pallet save is coming; there's a small chance the game just insta cancels it.

I am not talking about lunging but the momentum you get from just by pressing M1 while carrying a survivor. Killer does not stay still when you hold forward and do m1 while carrying survivor they will move forward. That is the main reason why killers m1 after they pick up survivors from pallets to try to avoid the pallet stun as the m1 hit will give them faster speed temporarily than the normal carrying speed. Killers normal carrying speed is 3.68 m/s so 90% of normal movement speed and when the m1's while carrying that speed becomes 5.52 m/s for 0.3 seconds. Killer will move about a meter with that swing enough to get out of the way of the pallet. They will suffer the hit cooldown if it was hit on survivor or missed hit cooldown but they are not anymore under the pallet to be stunned or dodged it.

  • As @Wiccamanplays said shoot one crow to swarm a survivor during chase. Then follow that up with another when you cooldown ends as the survivor takes 8 seconds to remove them minimum if they don't use a locker to do it. You can fire again after 5 seconds if you only shot one crow. If you shot two its 9 seconds so survivor usually will get the birds off before you could line your next shot. Still as you can first snipe them with one and then use all thee in spread battern to make hitting more likely to cause the damage. I rarely use her deny loops I just do shots through objects to swarm and then damage. You also need to be good of estimating where the survivor will run to get those hits and in the end you can use the birds to zone people even from distance as if they are swarmed they are afraid to run over the flight path you set.

She is really fun when you get those nice hits with her but her learning curve is high. I myself like playing her because I seem to be good in estimating where survivor will run and manage to do some real nice snipes even cross map downs with her.

  • As @jesterkind said most people will not see a problem if you chase the unhooker. People would have a problem if you tunnel the unhooked but in the end you play how you want.

  • This is going to remove the ability to hide behind auras. Its good way to counter killer aura perks as you can use generator aura to obscure your own aura. I would rather keep this how it is as it adds another layer to the game. We don't need to remove/nerf every possible way that survivors can use to hide from aura except lockers. In my opinion we need to go the other way more than make it even easier to see survivors auras.

You're entire message is basically "he's hallucinating, this entirely different thing was actually what happened," without actually having been there or seen anything: not helpful. I did hear the sound and it clearly dropped on top of the killer's head as they swung (not before, so they were out of animation, and it was before they got out of the pallet). I checked ping and it was pretty normal. I asked the killer in end game afterwards and he was the one who said it definitely should have stunned him but he swung which if you time it right, cancels the save. That led to me looking it up and finding out it has happened to other people as well. The killer literally called it a tech of sorts

You can claim what you want I gave estimate of what happened. You stating something does not make it a fact and I have had people tell something happened then show video that literally shows totally different thing happening. People don't always know what happened and remember stuff wrong thats why the other guy asked for a video as currently we have your statement that in reality is not really prove of anything.

Also the killer is wrong the reason why people swing on those is to move away from the pallet as it makes you move faster. Thats why people swing on pallets I have never seen it to cancel any stun and I have played this game a long time.

You could also report this to the bug reports in betahub with the logs of the match so devs can check if this is indeed a bug.

Were you actually banned, or was this only a warning?

It says he disconnected. I have seen people claiming that they did not disconnect but then admit they left when sacrifice animation was happening so in the end they did disconnect. You don't get banned for getting tunneled out or dying in the match fast. That one in my knowledge will only start dropping your grade if that keeps happening a lot. So if he got a ban he left before he was allowed.

  • Sounds to me more like this happened. He went to try to stun the killer from the side of the pallet the killer was blocking with his hitbox. The killer heard him coming was ready to swing to get off the pallet to the same side. Killer hits the survivor gets injured killer moves away from the pallet with the swing and as the survivor now after getting injured can run through the killer hits the pallet down after the killer was not anymore on it. Him saying he heard the sound could be him just thinking he did or maybe it played on his end but on server killer was not on the pallet stun area anymore.

Some people still has not got that you should not try to drop the pallet from the side the killer is on anymore after they fixed the clipping into killers hitbox that survivor could do for a long time. Got normalized because it was so long bugged. I still see people trying it and just running into the killers hitbox.

  • No he is not public domain. The original is owned by its creator Eric Knudsen. The one that Marble Hornets owns is same kind of being called The Operator. There is enough differences of the characters to make them different beings but both are tall thin faceless person wearing a suit looking thing.

  • Also there is more people playing during weekends so that makes more for both sides still killer is one and survivors you need four so it usually is going to be killer waiting because of that fact.

  • My playstyle evolves from the random killer and build I get to what happens during the match and how the survivors play. I literally change it depending of the situation sometimes I do fakes, moonwalk etc. Then sometimes I just play like a terminator not caring about pallets or anything really. I have no hard time following survivors when blinded so usually blinding me on a pallet break is just waste of flashlight and distance they could have got if they did not do that. Can't count how many times just being ballsy and just going through a pallet when they expect you to try to not get hit by it gives me value. I don't tunnel and I don't slug unless survivors themselves cause the situation where that happens. Like trying to do some stupid flashlight save while hurt as the last survivor etc.

  • If you do it fast while still moving or panning your view around it sometimes takes the last one you saw before the one you chose. It usually only does it when you do it fast and I think its just the server not keeping up with what you were looking at.

  • They are reworking/buffing/nerfing at least 45 perks these will be coming in November. Not to mention the 15 perks they are going to make changes when next chapter is released in august. This was all revealed in their live prodcast yesterday.

  • You can report them totally fine in the game. It does not make them immune of reporting.

Sorry my earlier statement was wrong it was up to two weeks my mistake. Still seems DBD is not Nintendo's opinion blockbuster game that needs to have fast patch verifcation so it most likely has to wait like most other smaller companies.

  • Its them wanting to get 4k. They also got themselves into that situation nobody else. So instead blaming survivor not giving them it easy they should maybe think if the 4k is worth the time they waste searching for the last. I rather be playing another match than do that as I see it as waste of time.

DThat's complete nonsense, every other multiplayer game manages to do it. Fortnite, Warframe, etc. No other game does it like this. If you're not familiar with Nintendo, it's better to just say nothing. Nintendo is currently more third-party friendly than ever before. Now even Call of Duty, DayZ, etc. are coming to this platform. If they don't like Nintendo, that's their business, but you don't always have to repeat everything you hear.

They validation of patches can take even a month compared to any other platform if you don't believe me then you can google it.

Nintendo is the one dragging their feet on putting the updates out blame them. Behavior can't do anything on platform being slow.

  • Like why double the broken time I would have rather added half more to test how it works. I feel doubling it will not be healthy for the perk at all.

Sadly it's just a range nerf. Kinda frustrating tbh, because I despise NTH only because the aura follows the killer. If it just stayed near the generator I wouldn't have any issue with the perk.

Yeah same here would have no issue if the aura reveal would stick on the gen. That was what I thought it originally did when it was revealed. Then I realized that the aura follows the killer after the kick I was like that is way too good. Even when I play with it in some of my random builds its information value is ridiculous for how easy it is to activate and use.

  • @sizzlingmario4 said:

Hopefully they finally make Nowhere to Hide aura reveal to stick on the gen. It never even make sense why it gets centered around the killer anyway. It should be killers Wiretap not I will stroll half a map and see every survivor that was not even near the gen in question or touched it.

It's so funny to me because we have people being like, "this perk has always been broken" and I'm just like...SINCE WHEN?!

Like the main reason why its the focus is because its one of those perks that smart player can use quite decently like I would imagine the main gripe most people have with it is the 99% the exhaustion and then let the killer get close walk a millisecond and then run away while he swings at air. Like that is the thing people remember so even if they don't see it in every match that is still the image they get in their head and why its a problem. In reality its not that much of problem perk but what do I know.

  • In the end we all play games because its fun. Still if you go into match and tie your fun to winning you might not have fun. It would then make sense to find something fun in playing that is not tied to winning. You can win of course still but its should not be the main point if you had fun or not.

  • @Royval said:

as a killer player for a long time I didn’t see a problem with sprint burst whatsoever.

Main complain or annoyence people have with it is the 99% exhaustion and then doing the last second Sprint Burst when killer tries to hit. Like some people just can't handle that and think its so op. The nerf is not going to even change it survivor just gets little less distance.

  • Because its not chaos if they all are not in there.

  • There is colorblind settings in the games settings and as the guy above me wrote you can customize auras now too.

Just use the in game report system. If they cheat and get reported often enough they'll get banned soon enough.

What killer were they playing out of interest?

Maybe you should edit yours as now you are sharing it in your own quote of the op.

you dont get the abandon option as surviour unless

    - you have been slugged mutiple times
    - everyone is slugged.

so if one of those two things did not happen it would be a legit DC or a bug making abandon option appear.

Edit : also if everyone else is bots or dead.

Everyone else being dead does not give survivor abandon option.

Only three abandon options for survivor are those that you listed. Going down third time in a row, every survivor is in dying state or on hook and if every other survivor is replaced by bot.

That Midwich pallet issue has affected me too, I feel like it's gotta be a bug no? On a few maps since a while back. You would have a guaranteed pallet just not spawn for some reason leaving that room be a dead zone, even after pallet density update. I feel like someone should report these bugs because there's no justifiable reason to remove pallet spawns that have 100% spawned there since they got released. Other than to be annoy everyone… But I experienced this too, which was frustrating but I'm almost certain it has to be a bug.

Its reported and its marked Fix Incomming except I am not 100% sure when it was marked that so if it was marked that after the last patch came out then it will be fixed in August when the new chapter comes. If it was marked that before it should already be in the game.

If Survivors cleanse Dull Totems, the Killer already gets huge value out of it. Not really an issue.

    @Topic:

I mean, I get the idea. However, I dont think that this would actually help most Hexes at all. Most of them are just not good and IMO if you bring most of those Hexes mentioned, you already opt for weaker Perks anyway.

And, the biggest issue was not addressed, which is Thrill of the Hunt. This Perk is in a weird spot of being bad until it becomes too good. If Hexes get a Buff, TotH needs to get toned down. (But as I said, I would not really count your changes as Buffs which would really help out Hex-Perks)

Not really if the survivor in question is doing it to activate Inner Strength or Overzealous and 14 seconds is nothing really in a match that take 10-15 minutes at least.

  • They could go this route and it has been suggested before but still it does not change the fact that survivors could also cleanse the dull totems to deny activations. Its not really fixing the problem just moving the post.

By the way, this killer AI already exists, I’ve seen cheaters in custom matches turn any killer into a bot. The killer bot from the 2v8 work especially well because they are probably coded well I noticed this on yt video how effectively Dracula used his power in customs while Jason just m1-ed everyone. So, I don't get why there aren't killer bots in custom matches, I’d love to loop them there they are cute)

Yes there is automated killer coded into the game because its used in 2v8 when another killer DC.

This is switched off temporarily, we still see everything that users have uploaded, but that's limited to us right now to ensure privacy for users of the platform.

It has no effect on the temperature or the severity of a bug report.

Well its just going to make it harder time to anyone to tell if a bug is the same. The videos and pictures in most cases are the only way to see if the bug is the same or not. Like the descriptions of most reports are not that detailed to even know what they are talking about without seeing the video they might have posted. It would be way more beneficial to let people see the videos and pictures and in the end I have not seen any video that would have had information that you could use against the poster. Sometimes someone might post a picture of their player id but in the end some of them even write them to the description.

Well hopefully this is temporary as it will only increase dublicate reports and waste time but what can you do about it. I would also appreciate if the log file being in the report could at least shown to be there for other people so people know there is one.

  • Did not even notice that you can't even see the reporters nickname anymore either. Every report that is not yours is made by Anonymous. Don't really see any point of not showing who the reporter is either.

  • Windows should only be active when you are injured. Would balance it and would be useful when its most needed. It being on the whole match makes it way too versatile and way too easy to use.

Yeah and them not even bothering to report it means it will not get fixed at any point. Posting here is not going to get it to the bug reports to be fixed and in the end he is the only one who could even provide logs of that match as replicating that would be not that feasible. With the effort they did to post it here they could have reported it to the betahub with logs but what can you do.
