    I mean, it could?

But the reason a lot of Survivors are complacent at the added time that RBT's gives Pig (and having Undetectable, as well as the RBT's occasionally being hyper-lethal) is likely because she's not a great chaser.

Well it should at least count as her M1 attack. That or survivors hit by ambush are mangled or broken or something.

Sure, but that balance is killer sided from rank 20 to 16 and survivor sided from 15 to 1. Basically once the survivors figure out the mechanics of the game they are the stronger side. So overall this is a survivor sided game.

    Exactly!

  • @KerJuice said:

This game is not survivor sided- it’s SWF sided. Two different experiences in my opinion. Competent killers can dominate solo que, but get destroyed by competent SWF.

So ya it's Survivor sided because SWF exists.

  • @FFirebrandd said:

Ambush isn't considered an M1. It doesn't activate Sloppy and STBFL and so forth.

    @CornHub said:

It doesn't count as a basic attack, but it doesn't do anything special once you get hit so I'd say she's an m1 killer.

    @Irisora said:

The ambush its not an M1 attack so it doesn't work for gaining STBFL stacks or Noed.

So what I am gathering is her ambush attack needs a buff? Because the fact that her ambush attack doesn't even help build synergy with her M1 is silly. Her ambush attack needs buffed. Simple as that. That's my consensus.

Been thinking about this for years now and since Gideons is now the most common map I happen to play, I have to say it straight out.

Terror radius music should be muffled or at least distorted so that we know the killer is above or below the current floor.

This also applies to Temple of Purgation, Baham, Ormond, Midwich and Hawkins.

It gets so confusing and frustrating to only rely on our ears to guess whether the killer is above or below us when we get no other clue than that. It's applied to every other games that have multiple floors and I can't see why DBD doesn't implement this.

For someone who plays both Survivor and Killer almost equally I can see both sides. As a survivor it is confusing but it is also more thrilling in my opinion. Also at some point it's easy to know if they're above or below you at that point when the terror radius sound is right on you and you don't see the killer. This game is already survivor sided so I think it's fine the way it is.

It would also be really nice if the skins also do something with Victor.

Only Charlotte has different skins, Victor has none at all.

Ya I wish they'd do that as well. I could see a chucky skin for Victor.

  • @DBD78 said:

If survivors miss a skill check when destroying portals a monster arm should appear from the portal grabbing the survivor and holding on for 8 seconds while killer get a notification and sees survivors aura until arm lets go.

To add to this. Once this happens they're put into the upside down and are invisible to all other players. They're still on the map and can interact with things but only way out is if they interact with a portal again. And their aura is highlighted in a different color to the demogorgon to indicate that they're in the upside down. And the map to the survivor would look like the upside down. This would be a really cool feature.

  • @DBD78 said:

See something like that would be cool

  • @RenRen said:

I personally don't like demogorgon for two things:

    1. Setting portals: I kinda wish they were preset.
    2. Universal sounds: Literally anything you do makes a sound which is cool but it's also a hinderance sometimes.

Other then that I love too play demo but the poor performance on the switch kinda makes it hard to.

See I think his portals could be a little better. I mean it fits his character perfectly. But I almost think he should have an ability where he can take survivors into the upside down and survivors have to go get them. Also it'd be cool if the whole map was already in the upside down. Kind of like Freddys Nightmare. Something like that.

Depends on the context. It can be really irritating to be out-perked or out-mapped only to have one side act like they've won something. The implication behind "come scrim" is: if you really think you're better, play again under a balanced ruleset on a more balanced map. For comp players especially, it's a super irritating position to be in. Run the full sweat comp build and playstyle, they complain. Run some weak perks without add ons, and you take some losses from people you know you'd beat pretty easily in a comp setting. And the type of person to play DbD competitively isn't going to have the personality to shrug it off. All you're really left with is "come scrim".

Back in the day when Warcraft 2 was popular, you would see this a lot. Then came star craft a bit later and egos went soaring. We used to play this old DOS game called Dark Legion that was a 1v1 that was awesome. I’m rambling. This doesn’t even have anything to do with the OP. I just got nostalgic. Sorry.

@Ghouled_Mojo Oh lol you're fine mate

@edgarpoop I mean I can see why they'd be frustrated but a game like this... If you lose you lose you win you win. Regardless of what you brought into the match. It was their choice to do so.

  • I will admit the fact this post has as many views and posts I'm surprised we haven't seen a DEV response.

It's the 12 year olds from fortnite who are used to saying "come 1v1 me"

I thought that's where that would be from. Honestly I remember people saying that way back when too. Like during Halo, Warcraft, Call Of Duty... Honestly It's Hilarious!

  • @Trickstaaaaa said:

What is there to fix? The perk is decent. Why do you folks keep asking for decent, actual usable perks to be nerfed. If anything we should be asking for the 90% of borderline useless perks to get buffed.

100% agreed on that. Ya there are tons of perks that needs reworked or buffed etc.

  • Dead Space would be cool.

  • That's actually a good question. I feel like everyone talks about how the killer is responsible for making the match fun but so is true of survivors. Only way I could think is... Hard loop camping pallet clicky clicks? Not doing that makes it fun lol

  • Ya... he doesn't need a nerf if anything he needs to be fixed.

  • I personally think he is well balanced. I mean I personally suck with him and have no idea how to play him. But not terribly interested in his play style. More of a Freddy, Huntress, and pig mains myself.

  • Killer Slenderman Perk - Impersonation - When you're stunned by a pallet you mimic the sounds of a survivor entering the Dying State and create an illusion of a dying survivor. All other survivors not within line of sight see an aura of a survivor in the Dying State at the location of the dropped pallet. Impersonation last for 45 seconds or until another survivor attempts to fully heal the mimicked survivor. Successfully healing the mimicked survivor will cause it to disappear. If the 45 seconds runs out before a survivor fully heal the mimic all survivors see a horrifying image and scream revealing their location. Impersonation has a 60/50/40 second cooldown.

Came up with this a couple weeks ago.

    Not super Cotton

I seem to be the only one who is using the cake and then am getting tunneled out of the game (and unlike the event, I can't replace these stupid things). Or in these last two games case, people are just DC'ing and I'm pissing away my cakes.

Then on the killer side, I have only played the one game as that pallet BS irked me so much that I'm not sure I plan on playing killer again until they sort their ish out.

I'm actually done until Saturday now most likely (Doggo sitting and it's not worth packing up my Xbox and everything for two days) so maybe it'll be better this weekend. Probably not but I can dream...

    @CornHub said:

Same as any other day but I'm not seeing as many cakes as I'd hope.

You'd imagine this is the best time to use cakes?! I mean come on you know?!

  • Ya it is fake. The Developer's don't try to leak a whole lot. have a threat about Dead Space Ideas too. I personally don't know if I could see a killer with Isaac being released. I could see a solo survivor release. Only killer I could maybe see is... one of the black necromorphs that move really fast or something

  • @nutmilk420 said:

I know it's a common tactic to fake an unhook take a hit then save, but suvivors know they can cancel the killers grab animation if they stop the interaction quick enough then get an easy save and its getting a little ridiculous.

I think the unhook hook animation should be locked thus making survivors be more tactical and commit to there hook rescues. In return Protection hits could be changed to count when your in radius of a hooked survivor.

I will agree it is frustrating when this happens to me. Especially when 3 survivors are all doing it.

    https://youtu.be/0M7ammUgGlI

    is this camping the pallet?

That also a penalty on the play....

  • Watch it in 0.25 speed. It clearly looks buggy and not like a clean hit. "There's a flag on the play. Server lag... 15 yard penalty... 1st down."

  • So basically. If everyone used a cake during times 2 xp. We would be looking at... If 32k is max standard. (32x2=64) x525 if everyone used their cakes = 336k bp from one match! That'll be insane! And if running BBQ n Chilli it's pretty much times 7 xp for one match probably putting you at... 400k for one match?

Right..... let's hope they don't release Candyman...

I hope they'll fix the bloodweb...

    Wink

Ya a lot of people are hoping they fix current content and balance as much as possible. I would really like to see a lot of unused perks reworked and see a little more daylight.

  • @ImBrakingBike said:

Don't say that, you'll make Dev release another DLC D:

I mean I still have tons of survivors perks to unlock. So I got a while yet.

  • @DwarvenTavern said:

    It ended yesterday

Sorry Just wanted to know if it was over over. Thank you. Ya I am excited for double BP though. It'll go nice with the cakes I have left.

  • Ya I could see that after being injured for the first time it activate but you can never get back to fully healed.

    @avvisare78 said:

You should make changes to No mither. Do not initiate the already injured, but healthy survivor. When he is subsequently hit, he can no longer heal. Starting immediately injured, the killer already knows that the survivor is equipped with that perk and it is not fair

  • @AhoyWolf said:

I think Huntress' power is perfectly fine. The things that hinder her the most are map design and dedicated servers.

Right I agree with you but neither of those are changing anytime soon.

  • @Power_Guy said:

Base Kit and make it so it stacks in intensity every time she hits a Survivor with a hatchet. Not M1; it has to be with a thrown hatchet.

Would encourage Huntresses to use their power, would reward them for being accurate, and would only affect Survivors she has hit.

Ya I mean I'm fine with it still being on hooks. But ya apart of her base kit nonetheless.

  • @KITTMaceWindu said:

TL;DR: As in Overwatch I'd like to suggest the idea, that you have the option to choose to stay together with the survivors after the trial.

Whenever I have survivors in my match that really play the game, have fun, help each other and do some gens I'd love to play with them again. It's not about absolutely "destroying" the killer or rushing the gens, it's just way more fun because none of them trolls around or disconnects.

I'm not that kind of person that sends friend requests on steam right after a game and with crossplay that's not even possible. And especially with other platforms this "stay as team" option would be nice. Besides it brings the members of the community together. :)

(I didn't want to resurrect this old post, but this person suggested it already.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/269)

That's crazy you bring that up I was just thinking about that the other day lol. And yes Overwatch is the game I loved for that!

The bp economy will never recover from a bloodhunt immediately after an anniversary event. The way i see it, after the bloodhunt is done its gonna be ultra-rare add-on city for weeks.

It'll be nice for those of us who haven't played this game for more than a year. We're so behind compared to those since day 1. And it's frustrating sometimes to be running the weakest builds. And all I want is every character and perk unlocked so I can start the grind for getting the perks on the characters I want. That's all I want to do. So more BP just helps a lot of us out. But I get what you're saying don't get me wrong. It helps those at the bottom but also at those at the top. Unfortunate I'll be working Thursday so I wont have tons of time to benefit from it. #work #kids #spouse #adulting lol xD

So for all you lazy kids out there enjoy!

  • @BioX said:

Not trying to be an unpleasant person but honestly, just try stuff yourself, that is where the fun comes in, losing some matches because your builds turn out to not work (after giving it a good long shot, several days of it preferably) is fine, it does not matter one bit.

You only GAIN bp, you dont lose any.

Just try some stuff yourself and dont just copy what others do, tips etc are fine but pls try things yourself first, be you, dont be "insert other user here" nr 2.

that's a fair point. More so just looking for options.

  • I will admit the DC penalty really made DC's almost non existent. I mean I think just having BOT's replace the survivors might help? I could even see an option for a bot to take over a player who leaves until another player enters the same game and takes over AI control. IDK that's probably not very likely though. But overall DC penalty needs to come back.

That or it would be nice if like minded players got paired up with each other. But if people kept reporting you and it was "iffy reporting" Than you could get stuck with the wrong crowd when you played fairly. Now the only thing I would do is implement a reward system. If survivors and killers play really well than other players can thumbs up them to add an additional 5k BP for the match or something. Cause only issue with putting DC people with others is if someone genuinely has an internet problem and DC's. But maybe flag someone who DC's a consistent amount or something.

  • Hmm interesting. Auto ban?

  • @Volcz said:

Understand that everyone enjoys a game differently. What you consider fun, isn't fun to someone else. And saying 'if your definition of fun is winning and bringing meta builds, this game isn't for you' is your opinion. But you don't get to tell people how to enjoy the game. Grats, you realized you don't like tryharding. Others do. Subjective.

    I know that.

  • I wonder what she did to break that sweat ;)

  • @ThiccBudhha said:

It is better to just play who you like at a lower rank. If you want to play Nurse and Spirit, by all means. But if you just want to use them because they are meta, I feel like you should take a step back and really ask yourself "why do I want this?" This game really isn't competitive enough for anyone to be concerned at all about rank, if you ask me. But you do you, homie. It might be more fun to just use those killers after all!

Ya it's actually interesting you bring that up because I just read an article about speed runners who play dark souls. That is a series of games I love. And the writer of the article basically said that speed runners are not playing the game correctly. I mean I'm butchering his poetic article by simplifying but he noted that all the lore and detail into the game is just being ignored and that's no way to play a game. And I'm thinking to myself... That is a game I absolutely enjoyed every moment of. How could anyone just want to "speed run it" And not enjoy it's wealth of content? And I just had an epiphany about this game. I have been so focused on just unlocking everything and doing what's meta I lost sight that just playing this game and in it's environment is fun on it's own. I think a lot can be said about that way of thinking. There's nothing wrong with wanting to do what's meta or speed runs. But there's also nothing wrong with playing for fun. And I think I lost that along the way years ago.. So I am going to just play what I like and what is fun :) Thanks ThiccBudhha.

  • @stikyard said:

My advice... avoid Red Ranks, Seriously.

I used to play a lot and, I would inevitably rank to Red. Felt like I needed to rely on Meta perks and sucked the fun out of the game. I de-pipped back to Greens and I'm having a much better time playing risky builds and fun stuff.

    So I should De-rank?

  • @meatisadelicacy said:

I mean, why shouldn't survivors loop? It's how we win. Should we just run straight, never look back, and die? If you want to learn Spirit and Nurse, go for it. No salt here. I just don't understand being frustrated that good survivors are good at the game.

I'm not saying survivors shouldn't loop. I just don't have fun being looped for 5 gens. But who would?
