They could make it to where the killer could reanimate a dead survivor's body to create another necromorph. That new necromorph could be like the zombies, but much faster and better AI. XD
That is actually a sick idea! I actually have an older thread with an Isaac Clarke survivor concept but I don't have a Dead Space Killer Concept yet.

Im aware of this
but when most people refer to SWF, they usually mean godlike beings who are there only to make the killer miserable while also having the same coordination as a colony of ants.
So just to but in but what do you actually think of the perk besides SWF or not?
@JonahsTablet said:
I can tell you're the kind of player who likes really off meta perks, may I suggest to you: The Classic Iron Grasp + Agitation + Mad Grit?
YES! Yes I am lol I like doing things wacky ;) Well that is a fun build I have done that one before.
-
I understand your concerns! And well even so it would still put pressure even on SWF. It could be it's own natural slow down. Forcing at least 1 survivor to leave a generator or risk a snow ball effect later game.
-
I like where you're head is at. I like the idea of balance mechanics like that. Of course I can see this going negative and positive. Of course no one likes a shut out match. Even when I'm on the winning side and I just straight up destroy the killer/survivors I am left unsatisfied wishing the game was a little closer. So overall I'd be 75% for this idea.

I mean as a killer he is fine. But honestly yes his camp game is 100% unfair. There's not really a counter play to it. One I'm not aware of.

I hope not I love the Saw Franchise.

Too situational, it will be useless in most games.
I was thinking about this when I initially thought of it. Realize there are more time that you are exposed than just from a perk like NOED. Yes it's situation but aren't a good majority of perks? I mean adrenaline is a great perk until you die before last gen is completed. Yet it's top 10 most used perks. My only other idea was having this perk work when you're hexed in general. Which might be better.
Version 2 - Everything's the exact same except Come Get Me activates when you're hexed.
Now the biggest difference in that is you'd be trying to help yourself either counter being exposed, and there are tons of perks and hero powers that make you exposed. That or you're helping yourself counter being hexed. I personally like version 1 better. A 3rd version could be where I combine the two into one.
I think overall this would be a balanced perk. It would be balanced and wouldn't completely shut down NOED. Yes the survivor can vault even faster and with other vaulting speed perks could make it even stronger. But the whole time you're exposed the killer can see you. So this perk wouldn't be the best idea against a killer like nurse or huntress. Tell me what your thoughts are.

It's not just bad for killers, it is also bad for the survivors they leave behind. They screw over their teammates just to get an easy escape. They really need to go.
I think that's the best way anyone has put it. I didn't realize how that'll screw over the other survivors if there are still any left. Ya overall keys need to go. Hatch can stay in game. But at least make 1 key per 1 person. And you get less BP for escaping with a key.
But if it were up to me we would have a different addon to replace keys.

It's not the problem of being grindy just too grindy. I'd rather be spending all this time getting better at the game instead of grinding everything out. I'm not saying you can't do both. I'm certainly better than I was on day 1. But I often wonder if I ever come up short in my games due to lacking proper perks and build.

No i've got 409 hours in game. I just keep forgetting how much I hate it when that happens lol.
-
Honestly I won't acknowledge survivors escaping with a key. It is just the cheapest ######### I can think of. I have a great game as executioner. All of a sudden the last two survivors have been 3 genned and have basically given up on trying to do generators. As if it's my fault you 3 gened yourself. And you get rewarded by bringing a key in with addons and escaping?

Pinhead has barely been out a day, and it seems like everyone wanted a killer that was super easy to pick up and play. Pinhead is a very hard killer to play, but he is in no way the worst killer, he isn't even near the bottom lmao. Maybe we have been spoiled with killers that have very little depth and skill needed like trickster and Nemesis. I'm already calling it. Pinhead is gonna get big buffs, and then there will be posts saying "me no like he is so strong and annoying now!!" How about we actually practice and try to be patient when they finally add a unique and skillful killer lmao the amount of posts or things I've seen where it is just "I played 1 round with the new killer that I haven't had practice with and obviously won't 4k with and I think he is weak pls buff bhvr" is sad
Cause we are surrounded by little babies

Perk Ideas for Isaac, these would be cool I think.
"Resist the Influence" Years of resisting dark forces has strengthened your mind beyond measure.
For every totem you cleanse gain a token up to a maximum of 5. When you would normally be affected by any totem effects you instead make a skill check. Upon succeeding the skill check you consume a token and ignore any currently active totem effects for 10/20/30 Seconds. After "Resist the Influence" expires any current active totem affects resume their affects as normal.
"You can't have us."
"Stasis Module" Once a supplementary accoutrement to your Rig suit is now an everyday accessory for you.
Press and hold the Active Ability Button for 2 seconds while standing within 4 meters of the killer to slow all of their movements and actions by 50% for 3 seconds. "Stasis Module" has a cooldown of 140/120/100 seconds
"Stick around. I’m full of bad ideas."
"Whatever It Takes" You're a master engineer and always find another way.
During the trial if you're the last survivor and at least 4 generators have been completed you're able to bypass the last generator being finished and open one of the exit gates but takes 100%/75%/50% longer to open the exit gates.
"...doesn’t look like I have a choice."

Not really tbh, I can't imagine Isaac in his suit running from a single necromorph and not dismembering it with a plasma cutter. His futuristic armor wouldn't fit well with the maps either.
He would be in his civilian outfit from Dead Space 3.

To be honest i just want Isaac Clarke as a survivor, i don't really care if it becomes it's own chapter or a Paragraph DLC with the inclusion of Isaac Clarke. Being able to play as him would be a dream come true. He is easily one of my favorite video game characters of all time and it would be very interesting to see if they can implement a functional RIG that works when you take damage. Now i know some people will say "the futureistic suit doesn't fit well in DbD" well we got Trickster. But honestly if we do have an Isaac Clarke survivor it would be top tier if Gunner Wright voiced Isaac once again.
I really do think that with the new Dead Space Remake BHVR can really capitalize on it and try to see if they can make a chapter or Paragraph DLC to bring Isaac Clarke to DbD.
I'd be completely happy with that too. I have another thread discussion all of his survivor perks.

As for owning the names they called you - good for you! I have Tourette's as well, but wasn't diagnosed until 4 years ago. It was nice to have a name, but the issue was does Tourette's define me or does it just act as a perk? I'm wondering about that as your name and whether you feel Tourette's defines you or not. But I wouldn't get that from the name.
I do applaud you for being outgoing with it. It's starting to be recognised as much more than someone saying swear words all the time. That's only a minority, as you know. Most is painful tics and spasms.
Many people don't know that! Good to find similar company! :D But I like your perspective on it a lot thank you!

It's because people have mythologized this idea that Behaviour is some little developer. They may have been at one time, but they're not now. They will celebrate their 30th anniversary next year, and they've developed a lot of games, and made a lot of money off Dead By Daylight.
And no, there's no excuse for this. There's no reason I should be able to go to their Twitter account on the launch day of a new DLC pack and reliably expect to see a bunch of issues of the magnitude of the ones I am seeing today. There's no reason they can't catch this kind of stuff before launch; to me, it's a sign that their PTB windows and pre-launch QA periods need to be longer, but for some reason they won't budge on changing their process, even though this KEEPS. HAPPENING.
Than they should really evaluate themselves. With those facts it's pretty apparent.

Behaviour Interactive has 600+ employees, and is the self-described largest independent game developer and publisher in Canada. As I type this, Dead By Daylight is the 9th most-played game on Steam (per Steamcharts), it's in the top 10 of all games being played on Twitch at this moment, and only two months ago it had its highest peak player count of all-time on Steam.
Stop with the sob stories. Behaviour is not some scrappy upstart company. They are well-capitalized, well-staffed, and yet still unable to conduct a smooth DLC launch five years in. Just today, they've had to disable the RPD map, the new killer is causing random disconnects, and Freddy's dream pallets can stun him. It's always two steps forward, one step back.
They don't listen to (and do not want) external feedback, they aren't transparent about anything, and they have repeatedly demonstrated that they don't have a firm grasp on the things that are wrong with their game. They can't/won't fix their screwy code base that leads to the type of issues listed above, they will never forsake a few almighty dollars for an aggressive game health update cycle (or two), and they have no incentive to ever change this outlook because in spite of everything I typed in the last two paragraph, the things in paragraph #1 continue to remain true.
Then why are people saying they're a small game company? Hmm then I redact my saying on them being a small game company. But everything else I say holds water. Note I'm not defending nor attacking BHVR. Just using this forum and this game as an example of content/products coming out unfinished. So if anything what you say makes me more inclined to agree with you and that there should be no excuse for BHVR's lack of good content coming out.

If PC players really wanted to Dodge Consoles they'd just turn off Cross platform so that's not it. If it is then fellow PC players who are Console dodging turn off cross platform you dummies.

Honestly, it could have even more bugs, I'd still be playing Pinhead. My love for the Hellraiser universe will forgive just about any sin, although it was pressed a bit when they took out his voice. It will get better with time, and the more people who are playing, the faster they can find the bugs. I assume at least.
I do a fair bit of EA gaming though, and I've seen some really bad ones. I know this isn't about EA and all that, but just look at ARK. They sold DLC while in EA, and it's still got some serious flaws that were found and reported during the EA process. How many years and DLCs later? BHVR could be a lot worse, and I think a large part of the problem is that they know they have to keep the playerbase interested in the game. Pushing cosmetics and charms will do that, and new chapters of course.
What really needs to happen is a Chapter fully devoted to game health though. The more they put that off, the worse it's going to get.
I used to play ARK all the time that's a good example.
But yes I completely agree with you especially your last sentence.

They have been so far. It boggles my mind that people don't punish them with DLC boycotts for the way they treat console players, for example. I haven't spend money on this game in about two years because I've been unhappy with it.
I'm PC so I can't speak for Console. But I am aware of how bad it is for Console. If I was a console player I would've requested a refund and uninstalled the game. Actually I used to play console a lot until I realized PC just has the edge over console. I had Xbox all the way through Xbox One until I switched over.

This chapter is yet another example that you all HAVE to prioritize game health and optimization.
As much as I love DBD, it is the only game I can think of that has game-breaking bugs with every update. I can't even remember the last time a chapter had an overall smooth release. It has essentially become the norm for DBD, but this is NOT a normal thing for games, nor should players be expected to tolerate it.
I understand bugs happen, but the devs need to take note from other companies and developers because this does not happen with any other game I can think of.
Players can't enjoy new content if the game doesn't work. The game has how many licenses now? Please sit on that money for a while and focus on promoting game longevity and player retention.
Ya even though they're a smaller game company the people at the top are loaded and could hire some more staff and actually have a team that fits the demand for this game.

Ya but now people have actually been arrested for saying that kind of stuff online. Though IDK how often people are being arrested for talking trash. But death threats shouldn't be taken so lightly.

@stikyard said:
I dont really see DBD as being an unfinished game. It's more evolving than unfinished. Constant new content, new bugs and balancing issues. For a small developer, I think they do rather well, even if some of the content gets rushed and takes time to settle in.
@tester said:
BHVR never fails to fail. This is just another straw in already large pile.
Well I'm not dogging on BHVR. Game industry in general. But I think BHVR does a great job at throwing us BP and other goodies for their mistakes. A good customer service strategy business should always do. Not many companies even care and just say sorry. I'd say BHVR at least gives back to us. But sometimes content does feel a little rushed with little testing. It almost dampens the excitement of something new coming out.
"Hey guys here's this awesome new character to play!" Oh I can't play it yet even though I just bought it. This discussion is just to get people thinking about the perspective of unfinished products going on the shelves. And the business ethics and philosophy of it.

@NomiNomad said:
People pay. End of story.
Companies see that and realize they don't have to put effort in. Or, in some cases, the game does get delayed and people start complaining. Such is the case with Cyberpunk. Clearly, the game shouldn't have come out in the state it was, even after it was delayed. I'm sure it had very little to do with the actual release date, but some Developers were literally getting death threats over the game not coming out. Then when it did come out, it was a complete and utter shitshow.
I'm just hoping to God that Elden Ring is good.
Yep, exactly, my friend said nearly the exact same thing when I spoke with him about it. Ya how crazy is it that people would make death threats over a video game lol?!
-
@stikyard said:
A lot of games are released as "early access". They are unfinished and the developers tell you so up front. Some titles are big enough to get people to purchase at price without being complete. If the company is honest about developing a game with ongoing customer feedback, I think this can work out quite well. I would be wary of smaller independant developers and companies with a bad history of failed projects.
Some people like being a part of the early access process, some don't. If you don't like early development, be patient and wait.
I should have emphasized that I was not discussion early access. I edited the post to reflect this

I mean yeah i think it would. Not only do Necromorphs have strange and weird abilities but the markers (or more accurately the maker signal) shape them into what ever form is best suited for that specific environment. So pretty much the devs could go crazy with its design and power.
Plus the Entity is a powerful ancient being so im sure it could replicate a marker signal to animate a necromorph.
I like your response a lot. I didn't really think that BHVR could make their own spin on a Necromorph of course with the Licensing approval that is.

DontNerf made a pretty good point about the Necromorph. Only other killer I could see would be Nicole Brennan. Or the Marker paranoia itself. When though Nicole herself wasn't a villian but in Dead Space 2 she was projected as the haunting visions Isaac kept having. I personally would want to see a Necromorph.
Since Demogorgon made it into this game and isn't a Unique creature from his habitat. There are more than 1 Demogorgon as it's a species. I don't see why a Single Necromorph couldn't make it into this game.
