No. No perks related to hooks work with his cages, also including survivor perks.

So that means, POP and BBQ don't work with his cage? Interesting. I guess it's a double edged sword. Does BT work when freeing a survivor from a cage?

  • Does Cage of Attonment work with BBQ n Chilli

  • Thanks everyone for helping me

    Report them in-game for hacking.

Go to this link and complete extra reports, with attached video evidence ("Additional Player Report Information")

    Sit and wait.

I reported them in game do I need to submit the footage?

    It's mechanically very stupid

You're saying that survivors SHOULD waste 2 generators of time getting rid of 5 meaningless objects to prevent a potential perk that the killer is unlikely to have

    Gambling is bad game design

That's not what I am saying. I am saying don't complain about losing to totems like NOED when they didn't cleanse any.

    @Aven_Fallen said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2467158#Comment_2467158

Yeah, but if you waste time cleansing Dull Totems, this means you are not doing a Gen. Meanwhile, the game progresses (while you are useless cleansing Totems) and it might not even come to the point that you finish all Gens, which makes all the effort spent to cleanse all Totems meaningless.

I agree with you on that. Again I'm not talking about survivors wasting their time doing totems. I'm talking about people who cry and moan about losing to a killer who had hex's and they didn't cleanse one totem.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

Or, you can simply kill your team by looking for Totems for a Perk the Killer might not even have instead of doing a Generator.

It is just a bad concept to do Totems for something the Killer might not even have. Let alone that the Reward for Dull Totems is basically nothing, cleansing a Dull Totem does nothing for winning the game.

Tofu made a good analogy - lets say a Survivor Perk exists which gives the Survivor 10% Movement Speed when all Gens are done. The Killer can counter it (even before) by going to the Basement and opening each Locker 2 times. Would anyone do that? Wasting time for a Perk the Survivor might not even use?

No what I am saying is I don't understand why survivors complain about having to do totems to counter things like NOED. It's just funny that people complain about having to possibly counter totems.

Many streamers say the first thing they do is cleanse.

    @IronKnight55 said:

Which is why we've been absolutely ######### begging for solo buffs for years so we can then buff killers as well but there's always someone like "SURVIVORS DON'T NEED TO BE STRONGER" not realising the bigger picture.

These people also include BHVR because no matter how many times I bring it up I don't get any less angry at the stupid horrible awful Small Game change and the fact that they keep putting vital information on ######### perks

So how the real issue is needing to boost Solo Q?

    @Predated said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/276791/as-long-as-swf-exists

SWF isnt the problem here. Solo Q actually is.

The reason quite a lot of killers arent as strong as they should be to work with optimal SWF, is because they would be far too powerful to deal with Solo Q.

Nerfing or removing SWF would mean nerfing killers. Buffing Solo up to the potential of SWF would mean buffing killers.

Dont hate on SWF being strong, hate on Solo Q being weak.

How are we going to buff Solo Q then?

  • @ThiccBudhha said:

Mmr will address SWF just fine.

How so? Ranked Matchmaking will fix this?

    @TGB said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2467037#Comment_2467037

I don't think so, cuz then you can inflate your MMR when you play with friends, but this will mean you will lose your solo queues for a while afterwards. It would be wonky.

There are a lot of ways to fix the SWF problem. One of which is making SWF games a separate ranking ladder (for both sides). But probably keeping it the same queue, to avoid ruined queue times.

I've also suggested that there be an option (that starts enabled) deciding whether you face against SWF's or not. Making it default enabled would mean MOST players wouldn't bother disabling it, if they even read patch notes at all. However, those that REALLY wanna avoid SWF's would be able to.

And those are just changes that don't even rebalance the game at all. There are also multiple ways to rebalance the actual game, and in my opinion, the game should be balanced around SWF's because that's the reality we're in.

Currently, a public team of 4 skilled solo queuers is still very tough for a good Killer to beat. So I see no issue with balancing around SWF's.

I'd like that, they should make it that you can go into Solo Play as an Option as survivor and only be teamed up with other Solo survivors. As well as Killers who are only looking for Solo Q Survivors.

And SWF can be it's own que.

  • @DeliciousFood said:

Twins are one of these killers that definitely don't need slowdown to be consistent at red ranks, even against sweatier teams. They will likely lose against the top stuff but every killer will barring the top three with as much sweat delivered by the player. I do not understand how anyone can call them weak. Like, it just does not compute with me when their power denies loops and is basically impossible to avoid when used by a decent player. Added to that, the snowball potential is obscene and Oni-level with enough chaos.

They are, however, very much like Hag when it comes to solo. Not in the camping department, but rather in the 'without coordination they can't be stopped' department. Should solo queue get buffed, these guys would be less hated. Well, no, Hag would still be despised but Twins wouldn't have as many issues as survivors would be more strategic thanks to more tools being given to them.

They don't need a rework, solo queue does. SWF has the tools necessary to avoid the super slugging. Whether they find Twins 'boring' or not is irrelevant, half the cast is consistently boring to most people.

You make really good points. But how is going to BUFF solo Ques fix the issue of killers struggling against SWF? So you want killers to struggle against SWF and Solo Q teams? No thanks. But lets keep that out of this conversation I just made a thread for that.

  • Another post on NOED?! Haven't seen one of these in a while lol xD

Messing with survivor's controls is the worst thing they could possibly add to this game.

    That's just a scumbag mechanic and it's completely non-competitive.

I think overall the main Issue I see with leaving victor as he is now is that he can be kidnapped. Which is just dumb IMO They should make it that if victor stays on you too long you go into the dying state.

  • I guess overall feedback I realize that the twins aren't as bad as people make it out to be. But most people look at them and laugh and aren't afraid of playing against them. So they definitely lacking with new player base or below average killer players who will never touch her.

But I very much enjoy playing as them. Just find myself losing often. And people even say after my matches.

"That's what I expect to see from a trashy killer like twins."

  • @Moxie said:

I really like The Twins. They are my favorite Killer. I recently got to Rank 1 playing just Twins.

The mechanics are fine, but their add ons need another rework, particularly the Iridescent add ons. Ire add ons are supposed to change the game and Killer dramatically. Currently, the Ire add ons are one of their weakest.

    My ideas for them:

-Silencing Cloth transfers your terror radius to idle Victor, and Victor's grunts to Charlotte for 25 seconds after switching to Charlotte.

-Iridescent Pendant should make Idle Victor Un-crushable, reduce his detection radius while idle and slightly reduce his maximum idle time.

I'm really starting to like the twins a lot too. Just wanting to see some good skins, and some good tweaks.

  • @Johnny_XMan said:

I've been actively playing Twins lately, and I don't know how I feel about letting Victor roam around in AI form. I mean as an option? Maybe. Mandatory? I don't think so.

Sometimes leaving Victor stationary in a specific location can be strategic, especially if you suspect a survivor is nearby a specific objective, like a gen with a lot of progress etc.

I think what they need to change is the ability for survivors to crush Victor after downing someone with a successful pounce. Why? Because it feels like you are being punished for successfully landing an attack. If Victor misses, then I could see this being a thing. If they want to balance Victor by not allowing him to pounce immediately after, then survivors should also not be able to crush him, immediately following a successful pounce.

That's why it'd would be an option to post him somewhere as well.

I don't think Plague needs a rework, her mechanics are fine. She's unique and she can he incredibly strong when played right. I just think she needs some minor buffs and QoL improvements- Mainly her puke being so infuriating imo.

Maybe less rework and just buffs.

  • @BrokenSouI said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2466211#Comment_2466211

Its not contradictory. That's just DBD. If you face 4 good survivors with like 5,000 hours each. You will lose as basically any killer.

But they're still strong as hell right now against your typical teams. Who don't kidnap victor. And you can get hits on at loops as charolette

I do personally play twins. The only recent game I've gotten smashed was on fractured against good survivors that denied me hits..Because fractured. And when I just said ######### it and pounced with victor on healthy survivors. They just kidnapped him.

Rest have been 4ks. You're more then welcome to stop by stream and watch me play them sometime if you want

Well it sounds like all killers against your 4 good survivors will always struggle. And no lol I don't need to watch your stream xD I'll take your word for it.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2461709#Comment_2461709

Tbf, just like Jeff only an incredibly small percentage of the playerbase even play them. Its not profitable for BHVR to make skins for them, so they just...don't.

    That's too bad.

  • @CornHub said:

They can only change Charlotte and there's a big hole in her chest that they basically can't touch. Can't exactly go wild with those limitations.

WHy can they only change charlotte?

  • @UnknownKiller said:

Notice that devs cant change powers ,victor is her power so they cant.I keep saying they are losing tons of money with changing power appereance.

I'm confused... We're just talking about appearance here. Not powers

  • @TacitusKilgore said:

No. Plain and simple. Just another killer that'll be abandoned balance wise because a VERY small portion of the playerbase plays them. They are at the absolute bottom of rework priority.

    I believe that.

  • @glitchboi said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2466206#Comment_2466206

They're very strong if played correctly. Slugging is what you must do as Twins.

Doesn't mean I'm not down for changes to them though, particularly changes for their add-ons.

I agree they are very strong from slugging. But it's not the most fun playstyle IMO.

  • @NomiNomad said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2466206#Comment_2466206

Plague is the least played killer in the game.

Twins are very strong if you play them right. There is no other killer in the game that slugs as well as they do.

Plague is in desperate need of a rework as well. I agree

  • @BrokenSouI said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2466186#Comment_2466186

Victor being an AI would just be stupid TBH. it would take the twins from unique to just making you a boring as ######### m1 killer. That lets you have a stupid little gremlin roaming around on his own sometimes.

Well you could still control him and take over him. I think he should at least try to patrol on area where you leave him and be able to go after a survivor in that area.

  • @BrokenSouI said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2466191#Comment_2466191

Yea basically. I see no issues with them. Hell I don't even mind facing them. A good twins player can be neutralized pretty easily by good survivors. But are still strong themselves

Umm that is contradicting TBH what you said. A good Twins player can be beaten by a good survivors. That's more of an argument as to why they need a buff. I mean for those of you who disagree with the buff do you personally play twins?

  • @BrokenSouI said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/276724/will-twins-ever-get-a-decent-rework

Why do they need a rework exactly ? They're a fairly strong killer. And are very unique

Underpowered and one of the least used Killer in game. If not the most. I mean do you play as the Twins? You're right about them being Unique. But honestly not that strong.

  • @Objectively_speaking said:

I wish victor would act as a debuff that would invert survivors controls and or work against survivors so that they could not do anything for 8 or 6 seconds if latched on <Think of victor as hindering them heavily till victor is removed from head>.

But i do not agree that victor should be able to move freely that would be way too strong thing a Nemesis zombie on steroids or if he started patrolling a hook.

That's a really good idea with the debuff and inverted controls! I'd take that for Twins.

  • I'm actually seeing this gen rush build more and more and I gotta say it's not very fun to go against.

    @Triadequinaxor said:

Im literally spawning in my side of the map, then traversing to the other side and getting a tinkerer notification, how is this possible? nerf gen speeds they are too fast, even when i play survivor they are extremely quickly completed. this is not fun gameplay, games progress way too quick in high elo because people sweat, and then im forced to tunnel, because oh my ruin got cleansed and now i have no gen pressure

I gotta agree with you on that. Only way I can counter this is with my Freddy Build. I don't want to have to sweat to beat these SWF teams who just want to do all 5 gens in 5 minutes. I mean where's the fun in that? I think what they should do is have the entity lock gens for 20 seconds after one is completed. But unfortunately it's the primary objective for the survivors so not much else they can do.

  • @IlliterateGenocide said:

That's actually funny. I can see that. I usually just play killers who can meme. Like clown can just throw bottles at people.

  • Ya I mean doing it all the time can get boring for sure. But I always appreciate survivors who participate with me as killer initiating the farming and killers who also initiate it when I am survivor.

  • Fall is my favorite season. Halloween is my favorite holiday so I think it's awesome your husband is cosplaying from DBD. What're you going to be?

As a blight main Im obligated to vote for my boy.

Plus, even before blight was a killer he managed to trap and experiment on multiple other killers in the lore so now that he's a killer he must be able to fight demo easily.

Ya it's been a hard time finding a match up for Demo. When I started this Killer Combatant series a few weeks ago I had a great first match between The Doctor and The Wraith. I wanted to give Demo some spotlight since the licensing is leaving soon. But didn't take as much time finding Demo a worthy opponent. It was thanks to fans feedback that I was able to get a good match up this time. Regardless how this one turns out I think it'll be a good one. It makes sense Blight would try and experiment on the Demogorgon too.

  • @CheeseAnton said:

I know this isn't OP's fault, it's very hard to put a fair match against Demogorgon, but I think Oni Steam rolls a Demogorgon, even if this Demo was pulled straight out from the show (a.k.a. is harder to kill).

    Spoiler Spoiler Warning ▲ ▼

EDIT: If this also is too one sided and warrants another switch up, I think Blight could be a possible candidate to face Demo. Both are animalistic humanoid creatures that acts on needs (Blight Serum or Sustenance), Impulsiveness, and are both Strong and Fast fighters. Other idea I had was The Legion (using all 4 members, it kinda mirrors the fight in Season 1 with the 3 teens but this time with an extra teen. The Legion, mainly Frank tbh, also acts on heavy impulse and acts without thinking and I feel have strength in numbers), but that could be seen as a bit of a stretch.

Ya I think blight is the switch up here

  • Pretty umm good lol. We finally got those hover skate boards from back to the future lol.

I'd love a mode where there are no gens. The match is timed but breaking hex totems reduce the timer. Killers can repair hex totems to extend the time back to what was taken but no one knows where they are and there are no perks to show them on the map for either side. They relocate when broken/restored.

If you make it to the end of the timer the gates open automatically and you can try to escape.

    Hooks work as normal.

Chests have items that can stun the killer but no health items. Only other survivors can heal you but it wastes time when you could be collecting points.

How do you collect points? Points pillars, like the ones that were seen for the 5th anniversary that gave you the golden glow, will appear and disappear randomly in the match and you can claim them to increase you BP level. Different colour pillars give different BP amounts..

If the timer gets to a certain point and you are below a certain number of BP you will be revealed to the killer for 'x' seconds.

There are three sets of doors on each map. They do not all open at the same time and close at undetermined intervals. If you choose to stay when you can leave to farm points you better hope you don't miss your chance.

    Who will survive?

I actually like this I'd play this mode.

Lol, the toxic part of this game is what makes it interesting imo. i just had a match were the survivors clicked flashlights and teabagged. So when i hooked them i smashed them on the hook. Was a fun and intense match and we all were good sports at the end in a sarcastic way. If you cant handle toxicity, then you shouldnt play this game, because it will always be there.

I see what you're saying. But that's not really what I am trying to convey here. What I am saying is, "Showboating" just like in professional sports should just be something to think about. Just an open discussion really. I think it is just a way to show you don't care about others feelings.

  • @ARTRA said:

I would love a 2 killer game, but its not going to happens.

A lot of bugs and work, like, imagine PH working on the ground over a trap, hole from demogorgon or hag rune, how does that interact.

Does billi and buba stops with nemesis zombies?

    Can traps stack together?

Double of the same killer, can one demogorgon travel to another portal that isnt yours?

It ""COULD"" be done with work but as i said 2 killers is not going to happen.

And tbh, i cant think in another "game mode" for dbd :S

A lot of people talk about a 2 killer mode but I think there are tons of other ideas out there. I don't think it's a 2 killer mode TBH. Idk if it's a game mode that revolves around the current mechanics or a different playstyle entirely.

Only game mode I could see with the current resources is a mode where you go in and are given a completely random perk build with a random survivor. And same with the killer.

  • IMO out of the ones you commented that is... I would have to say Adrenaline. I think it is a situational perk yes but the pay off for it is overwhelmingly big.

I play both survivor and killer pretty equally. I rarely use adrenaline as survivor. But when I go up against it as killer. Those clutch moments at the end game kill me every time. When I am about to secure a hook by picking up a survivor and take them to the hook gen 5 pops and boom they're back up and running again.

Don't get me wrong I like the perk. I just think it needs a secondary draw back.

  • @PalletsAndHooks said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2453275#Comment_2453275

Well that is totally dependent on how many Nea skins they sell a day. If there's over 100,000 concurrent players and even if only 1% spend $10 a day, that's $10,000 a day in revenue. Yea, there's taxes, artists, employees and their garbage retirement funds to look after, but BHVR can continue to rely on netting those funds as long people keep blowing their milk money on neon Nea skins.

The squeaky-est wheel is a call for more neon Nea skins.

Is their job to rack up as much money as they can and let the game die one day? Okay if that's true, you're completely correct.

But I want to see this game go for the next 5-10 years. What I am saying is products and services have to adapt and grow to survive in todays ever growing culture and competitive demands for unique and fun games. I've seen countless games just die from being neglected by their creators and it's sad.

I'm not saying that BHVR is neglecting us. I actually like BHVR as a gaming company. I am just saying I hope they come up with a new game mode eventually. Will a new game mode "fix" this scenario of the game dying in 5-10 years? No it's just an example of ways to stay current with the gaming world.

  • I did, and solo players can use perks to counter totems. It's a gamble every match. If you want to counter totems run a counter. Don't look at the perk as the problem it's the fact no one countered it. I think NOED is great against players who don't acknowledge totems.

  • @Brokenbones said:

If NOED is fine, keys are fine

Both require very little and offer a high reward

Both allow you to bypass something, in the killer's case it's a whole health state (and increased movement speed) and in the survivors case it allows them to either leave before all the gens are done or without opening an exit gate.

    :)

Both situational though. It doesn't pay off everytime.

  • @PalletsAndHooks said:

Improbable. Game generates revenue as is. No incentive on the dev side to expand or be inclusive with game modes.

Never gonna see 2 killer mode

AI is on mobile, but the games written out on different architecture so we likely won't see anything like that

It seemed like the rift was gonna be this awesome new game mode, but all it did was create off-topix objectives sometimes completely unrelated to the trial at hand; this results 4k games sometimes since survivors aren't focusing on escape.

Game is stale and not getting fresh anytime soon as long people keep dropping money on Nea skins

Well hopefully one of these dev's went to business school and knows that you can't rely on a product to stay the way it is and perform long lasting results...

  • NOED is fine, the problem is the survivors didn't cleanse every totem. And I agree with @PalletsAndHooks response as well.

  • @Mat_Sella said:

some people complained that it made their prestige outfits seem worthless so it was removed

Lol what a silly reason to remove it.

  • Idk I guess it's just more like frustrating when players play in that manor especially when you're genuinely trying to win the game and not be toxic and just play the game and others just... well toxic lol. I mean what ever people gotta do to feel better about themselves I suppose. I know I do the same in my own way so I guess I'm a hypocrite. Just wish there was the option to reward players for positive reinforcement.
