Well, now I've seen everything.
-
It's tough. Between the Hacker/DDoS issue and the wonky matchmaking, combined with the fact Devs do not seem to care about the community past appearing friendly on Social Media, I've found myself barely playing these days as well. I used to ignore the flaws because I was attached to the game and the community, but that's become much harder over time.
-
I think you would need to slow the entire game down at that point. The issue right now is that if you do not secure something as a Killer within a certain amount of time, you're done. On top of that, it can be pretty stressful, especially when a single Dead Hard H I T V A L I D A T I O N can cost you several hook states or the entire game. So you've a lot of choices to make, in a very short period of time and all of them matter a whole ton on top of spawn RNG, on top of not knowing whether or not you're playing against a premade. If there was a way to slow the game down, making each individual, split second decision matter less, I believe lot of those issues would be alleviated, as people wouldn't feel such strong incentive to play "scummy". Would it solve all the issues? Of course not, every game has those types of players, but DbD really, really rewards that Behaviour due to how the game's set up right now.
When it comes to a direct mechanic, you could experiment with making hooks tick faster when the Killer isn't around. Also, VHS has an interesting mechanic where if you don't down anyone after a certain amount of hits, your next attack will down a player. Sadly that would likely lead to people blaming their team even more than they already do, but I think something in that direction is also worth considering.

Mad respect. I never even started, because I knew I'd end up tearing all of my hair out within the first few weeks of not having the perks I want.

Why is ur sexuality important to your point
Because we've progressed so far that being defined by labels is now, once again, considered important and in many online spaces lacking the correct label will ensure that your views are discarded with greater ease.
-
I genuinely do not mean to be rude, but what exactly is the point of the thread? As in, what is there to discuss, I might be missing something here. For the purpose of not getting banned for the third and final time, I will completely ignore the Bubba situation if you don't mind. Because sure, face camping is a tool, but what isn't? Like, letting people bleed out can also be considered a tool. Tunneling someone can also be considered a tool, Same goes for flashlight clicking, t-bagging, not leaving the gates, nodding, pallet camping and literally any other thing in the game that puts one side at an advantage over the other one, in other words, anything else that is a game mechanic. This game, nor any other, will never be sterile enough to prevent this behaviour from happening, because then there would be no game mechanics.

Like this.

I love all of you, but @StarLost has a special place in my heart, due to his ability to remain extremely calm and constructive during arguments, even when faced with some borderline malice.

How does it feel like to be such an amazing, beautiful person with an incredible taste in mains?

Ironically, I'm part of the minority and they're unintentionally speaking over the part that doesn't agree with the narrative
Damn, do you have a Twitter or something so that next time dudes start playing Magic the Gathering with black people's tweets, I've some legendary cards to pull out?
-
I don't think we even need to get into detail here, in order to have grounds for loathing everything about the current system, as it is not even close to a Skill Based Matchmaking, combine that with the extremely shady approach Behaviour has chosen and I myself am surprised people are willing to tolerate it.
Also, time to post my favourite quote by Patrick, the Lead Game Designer, that is best enjoyed when read in an extremely condescending tone: "There's sort of, a question I get asked a lot, I see from the community, I've even had people on the team talk to me about. They talk about the Survivor perspective of: I was playing a game of Survivor and I looped the Killer for seven consecutive hours and I unhooked, y'know, eighteen other Survivors and I healed for ninety-three health states, I fixed ten generators, it was such an amazing game, I truly am a god amongst men when I play Dead by Daylight. But then, right at the end, I got thrown on a hook and I died and I don't like that counts as a loss. And the idea here is, wouldn't it be nice if you could do all of that and sometimes you get out alive? Right? Wouldn't that be nice? That's the idea, that's all that MMR is trying to do. It goes, I know you've died, it's ignoring how you got there, because there's too much nuance to be able to make a real, effective system."

When you use For the People the colour spectrum changes for a while due to being anemic.

I mean, they were probably just two lads causing a bit of jimmy rustling, as they say. If they're worth anything, they laughed the situation off with "honestly, that's fair enough" when you camped them and if not, then their opinions are irrelevant. You play however you want, especially when the other side does the same.
-
Remind yourself that you're far too important, and so are those close to you, to be wasting even a single thought on morons that you'll never meet again and want nothing to do with, they don't decide your value, you and your reaction does.

Or, and hear me out here, we improve the reporting system to ban these players and remove one of the enablers allowing them to be racist? :0
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2654610#Comment_2654610
If you take a ban because of this topic then idk what to tell you, the only way you could really achieve that is through making a racist or insulting remark which are both clearly against forum rules lol
I didn't say anything all too insane last time either and yet things happened. You know well how that goes yourself too, if memory serves right.
Anyway, the developers are looking into the Bubba situation, which means we might see a change in a few years.

Damn, I just got out of forum jail and you guys are already tempting me.

I feel like he's currently way more bugged than usually. I had him in the middle of my screen, at several points in his entirety, for about twenty seconds of peekaboo looping around some tires and not for a single split second did I hear the revealing sound, yet I got marked without any issues. Incredibly frustrating.
-
Over the years I've come to see all of this as more of a consistent incompetency sort of a thing, rather than favoritism, especially if you take the SoloQ experience into account, which doesn't even get a stick to begin with in order to have the short end of it.
-
:(
-
I take it as a friendly gesture and if they're the last person, or the situation seems right, I'll let them go.
The only scenario in which I'll ignore it, is if the Survivor seemed to be a detriment to their team or did any of the usual clicky/crouchy nonsense.

For every post in this thread I will facecamp a Survivor. Their blood is on your hands. They have you to blame.

No, I'd see the Crescendo intro and immediately see myself out.

Plague is a great idea, after her quality of life changes she feels really good to play. Plus, she makes it so that you don't have to worry about infinite, insant healing.

There is a way to supposedly hide your ip when you play a game on steam now in preferences>ingame>steam network and select "never"
Although i'm not sure if its effective or really do something. Im playing with that activated after what happened.
As far as I am aware this does NOT work for DbD as DbD does not use that feature at all.

The worst thing is, that we have been hearing about players experiencing router issues after dealing with a hacker for a while now and quite frankly, these reports have mostly been met with a fair share of scepticism, understandably so. This means that the issue has been going on for weeks and it has only gotten worse, so either the good people at Behaviour are completely oblivious to potential security breaches within their game, or they're more than okay with putting their players in danger and I'm not even sure which option is worse at this point.

If you're a human being be careful, because the Developers certainly aren't.

That official statement is the most pathetic thing I've read in a long time. Thanks for bringing more attention to this.

Just a quick reminder to be respectful to other users, just because you don't agree with their opinion it doesn't mean they are either a troll or their thread is bait.
So, please, if you want to discuss the topic, be civil, thank you.
You're right, however if they're making the same thread, with a slightly different wording, several times a week, to the point they've become a running joke on the forums, it surely cannot be surprising if people see these threads for what they are.
At this point you might as well have a Sluzzy thread pinned to save everyone the time.

I'll buy you the chapter on Steam, if you can go two months without complaining or making any threads about Nemesis.

Really clown was the victim in his story.
And now he's sucking toes and stuff. Moral of the story, don't hit your kids.

I think this is less of a gender issue and more of a quality of writing issue in general. I mean they've even made Clown more sympathetic, a product of his environment.

Damn, I can't seem to connect the dots.

Damn, we getting mad at made up people in made up situations again?

Killer queues are better towards the evening, but the hate is always real. No matter how you play, no matter the Killer, if you win there's a solid 60% chance of someone telling you to ######### and a salty -rep comment on your steam profile to go with it. Never seen anything like it and I've played all the games that supposedly have the most "toxic" communities.
