Reporting won't do anything in these instances because the things you have listed are not against the game rules and are not considered to be Unsportsmanlike Behaviour - you can read more about the game rules here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/139-game-rules
As I stated I know reporting won't do anything but I see what you're saying. I'm not referring to the actual games rules but more of a moral code of my own. Just a realization I had. I'm not trying to argue against the rules but just for my own sanity I choose to see it this way. Thank you for this link I wasn't aware of the actual rules.
GRIEFING: INTENTIONAL GAMEPLAY ABUSE
- Working with the opposite team to gain an advantage or grief teammates
- Targeting specific users repeatedly in order to ruin their game experience
- Holding the game hostage
- In-game report REQUIRED / Customer Support ticket OPTIONAL
@MandyTalk question on this... The 2nd one from the top says... "Targeting specific users repeatedly in order to ruin their game experience." Isn't that basically borderline tunneling? Just a side question.

Toxicity is a myth, sportmanlike is very rarely rewarded. Who's care about his 'reflection of his mentality' when the personal goal is different for each one ?
You just can apply your own rules and to hope they do the same. But you have right on this point, the 'behaviour' is very representative in this game. You can learn so many things from your opponents...
People should be rewarded for doing the right thing? Though my girlfriend would disagree lol Showboating is frowned upon in competitive settings period. And it's more distasteful in a game that is casual.

I dont think that Jason should ever be in DBD as he has his own game already but if he was in the game what do you think his power(s) would be?
Maybe some people will share the same opinion but i think he would be mix of Trapper and Trickster with maybe some extra stuff. What do you think? Share
Jason has a standing invitation to this game according to the BHVR main developers. Only reason he isn't in this game is the legal battle over the rights to him. He should be in this game and has always originally been wanted in this game as he is the #1 wanted killer in DBD. Candyman being #2 And plenty of surveys by Youtubers and streamers have conducted surveys and surveys say that regardless of trapper being in the game Jason still would fit very well into this game. Same example being Hillbilly and Cannibal'.

And when you play an online game, you're signing up to the EULA of that game and have to play by those game rules. DC'ing is against those rules, hence it's punished.
Too bad the game doesn't know the difference between my power going out or bad internet connection though... And dang I didn't know 2 D/C's was a 30 minute timer? That's a way too harsh of a timer for this game lol save that crap for CSGO

I like how deep the progression is. Personally i get bored of online games when there's nothing meaningful to progress anymore. And i like even if im playing this game an unhealthy amount im still unlocking things...
Also you have to consider the fact that not everyone has all of the characters, or wants them. If they made it too easy for everyone, it would be too easy for a lot of people like the people who buy the game on steam, there's only 4 killers and 8 survivors on the pc base game.
It's not that I don't like the progression. But it's one type of progression. Unlocking perks... It's just so repetitive and quickly fatigues you.
Whether they have them or not for the people who want all of them it just creates a huge grind. I know that's a choice but it is feeling less rewarding as I near the end of completing my goal.
Will I have every teachable perk in the game for both killers and survivors by next week? Very likely I am that close. I will feel a little relieved. But I have decided I will play 1 survivor solemnly maybe 2 to get every perk on them. And 2-3 killers. That's my next long term goal. I need/want to have everything unlocked. It's just how I play games. I want to have everything accessible to me for the options of customizing and trying multiple builds.

Oni takes a big lead!

(He'll also insult you if you don't agree tho)Can't base how good a killer based on Streamers who play them really well or are "Pro" at that killer. Games like this one still need to cater to the majority. If Pig struggles in most matches except a select handful at higher ranks that's a problem.

Title this is a discussion especially about Myers I'd love to see a add-on pass with a few tweaks to his ability
I agree both need a tweak here and there. Nothing too major. I think Myers just needs his addons fixed. And for pig I think she needs a tweak to her ambush attack.
@TerrorUnleashed said:
Amanda needs urgent attention. I know we've all said it since day one -- well, many of us, anyway -- but she really is a painful case of developer neglect. Conversely, I am quite content with Myers remaining underwhelming and overly disconnected from the 'rest' of the roster... if I do recall correctly; BHVR have stated that they wish to keep Myers' base kit as it is?
She's actually been nothing but nerfed since her release so I agree with you on that one.

The problem with the argument that Caleb can capture Demogorgon is that, sure, The Russians did it, but they had millions of dollars, years of research, thousands of employees, and more modern technology.
Caleb is smart, that shouldn't be underestimated, but at the end of the day he's still a human that fails (the speargun, his gun, took multiple attempts and modifications to make, to quote his lore- "the speargun. The first trial occurred when a thief robbed a Chinese laundry. Seizing on the opportunity, Caleb unleashed his prototype. Metal joints screeched as the spike shot forward, gouging into the target's abdomen. But as the spear tugged, it caught the thief's intestines, and, with an ungodly sound, yanked them onto the dusty road. After several iterations, the disembowelments dwindled, but Caleb had already earned his new nickname: The Deathslinger." - that text highlighted in his quote proves he killed people trying to make his gun so that it didn't kill).
Even if Caleb has a great idea to kill/capture Demogorgon, we can't be guaranteed it'd work the first time and if it fails he might not have a second chance.
Also, Demogorgon can influence technology and random objects (as seen in episode 1 where he unlocks the Byer's front door), Demogorgon maybe could render Caleb's Speargun obsolete.
Very well said. I am making these without a biased opinion. I personally don't care who wins I just want to see people votes and reaction to this series. Was it the best episode? No it's a little one sided but still interesting to flush this out. I think I'll come back to these two at a later episode. So am I rooting for Deathslinger? No. Just maybe might've over estimated Caleb.

Sure, the bat staggered Demo as it would most creatures who aren't made of metal. If you hit a grizzly bear in the face it's going to back up a little, but you're still not leaving that situation alive. You'll get ripped apart a second later.
So I know I am not to Vote until the ending as in Rule#6 But this winner looks to be determined pretty quickly. So I'll make an exception. I'll still keep the voting to determine the winner until Saturday Morning. Plus I just feel really bad for Death Slinger man no love for this guy lol xD. But who knows maybe someone else will pull for Death Slinger. I mean if Liam Neeson can take on a wolf nearly bear handed I have faith in Death Slinger.
And it's not a bat or a measly bullet. It's a spear traveling at high speeds. If he aims that right down Demo's mouth... Just saying. Assuming his spear can pierce Demo's skin... Again we're going to to have to consider a lot of factors for these fights. And sometimes Rule #2 will happen. Most of this is decided by votes and some Fictional evidence of both of these made up characters. Caleb Quinn is just a man but the Entity gives the killers some type of power and clearly recognizes him as a worthy killer.
-
It is true I should've waited to use Demo in my Killer Combatant series due to the Licensing issue with BHVR and Netflix. In the first Killer Combatant match no one really mentioned who they wanted to see next so I went with this matchup. If you guys would like a different change up on this fight let me know. After all... this is just supposed to be fun and creative. I also wonder if just because again Stranger Things is a sensitive Topic right now might be the overwhelming vote. I'll still make the match fun in the end.

@TerminatorGuy said:
Demo shrugs off bullets, so a harpoon will do nothing to him. Then, Slinger is going to get mauled
Very good points! But remember we see Steve Harrington hit Demo with a batt and it actually staggers him. A harpoon with enough force just might puncture Demo or at least cause bludgeoning Damage.
As for the demogorgon, although even more resistant to bullets (seemingly bulletproof), it still is vulnerable to blunt force (Steve's bat), and it's also highly vulnerable to burning/fire, which is possibly even lethal if exposed to for long enough. These are important factors to remember. If Death Slinger were to use the environment and his weapon he could potentially outsmart and secure his victory.
-
First let me say I respect everyone's opinions. I understand Demo is a supernatural being. I wouldn't count out Death Slinger yet... Please remember I adjusted the reality of these fights as stated in RULE #3. So in this fight he is killable. I knew Demo was going to be a hard one to pit someone up against.
@Seiko300 said:
Kind of an unfair pairing since you kinda pitted a killer that has an advantage around mid ranges, to a creature that kills its prey up close as a feral animal would.
I think the Deathslinger could have honestly won against a decent chunk of the 1 v 1's in Dead By Daylight but against the Demogorgon I don't think so. Makes me wonder about the thought process behind why these characters had to go against each other (if there was a thought process and it wasn't selected by random).
And yes... there was a thought process.
My reasoning for Demo and Death Slinger was,
Who could I see Demo going up against in an interesting fight. The killer cowboy with a harpoon gun almost gives off this "hunter vibe" And what better prey than something else that is hunting him?Yes Demo is very strong and powerful but still killable. Also don't forget that Caleb Quinn is very resourceful and a learned engineering underneath his father. I could see him coming up with a way to catch and or even kill Demogorgon.SPOLIERS IF YOU HAVEN"T SEEN the end of SEASON 3 of Stranger Things.
But if it's possible to capture a Demogorgon I can't imagine a very skilled Cowboy from the Badlands would be completely defeated.
@Seiko300 Who do you see being a match up against Demo? Because reality is the roster only has so many supernatural killers. Only other killers I thought about was the Oni, Executioner, Nemesis, and a couple others. But personally see them going up against someone else. I really considered others but personally picked this match up for flavor sake.
-
This was close just like I thought it would be. It's why I picked a great first two combatants. I will post a Killer Combatant Series every Saturday morning and it ends the following Friday night. Thank you all who participated... now the winnings go too...
WRAITH WINS!
I even voted for the Doctor on this one but even including my vote the wraith wins 22 votes to Doctors 21 votes.
So here's a quick battle scenario to think about. Let me know how you personally think this battle would've gone. Feel free to still vote and post your comments. But here's how I think the Wraith would've won.
The Wraith (Phillip) has just finished cleaning off his weapon after a fresh kill. Another survivor falls to his skull mace. He takes the survivor to the nearest hook with anticipation to please the entity. On his way however he sees a figure in what appears to be a doctors uniform. Electrical flares seem to surround him every so often. He is kneeling over laughing and seems to be torturing another survivor as the survivors screams can be heard. Phillip quickly realizes that he isn't the only killer in this hunt and the Entity is up to something. Phillip quickly hooks the survivor and cloaks himself with his Wailing bell. With his quick speed and stealth he quickly makes his way over to The Doctor (Herman).
Herman is getting ready to pick up the survivor and take them to the nearest hook when he suddenly hears what appears to sound like a deep purring of breathing. It's not a sound he is familiar with and quickly drops the survivor and begins looking around with his never closing eyes. He scans the area being fully alert to his surroundings, no longer concerned of the survivor crawling away. He charges up his Static Blast, just as Herman releases the charged blast he sees a figure caught in the attack. Phillip groans in pain as he feels electrical charges shoot into his body breaking his stealth and revealing him to Herman. The Doctor laughs and runs towards Phillip who is still recovering from the recent blast.
Just in time Phillip recovers quickly enough to meet the doctors electrical baton in a clash of their two weapons. Herman's stronger build and stature quickly start to over power Phillip as Phillip is still feeling the effects of the blast attack. Phillip with his free hand uses his wailing bell to hit Herman in the side of the head staggering him away. Giving Phillip just enough time to use his bell to disappear back into the shadows. Herman looking around furiously as his recent prey has just gotten away realizes it's too soon to use his Static Blast so he begins to charge up his Shock Therapy.
Meanwhile Phillip is starting to feel madness but maintains his resolve enough to focus on what he needs to do. He quickly surprises Herman from behind slashing his back with his weapon. All Herman heard was the sound of a bell right before the attack. But this doesn't stop Herman no... As Phillip tries to cloak himself again the doctor still in that instant charging his Shock Therapy releases it towards Phillip barely hitting him as he turns a corner into the killer shack. Herman see the outline of Phillip scream and smiles as he knows he has sent him further into madness.
Phillip quickly starts seeing The Doctor everywhere and starts wailing at every figure just to release they're not real. This buys Herman just enough time to find him and is able to hit Phillip in his right arm just as Phillip desperately tries to block the attack but unable to do so due to the madness growing and influencing his fighting capabilities. Phillip staggers back trying to regain his form and prepares for a final confrontation. In a moment of clarity Phillip overpowers the madness building in his mind and with his incredible agility performs a leg sweep on Herman causing him to fall down the stairs into the basement.
Herman not realizing he was so close to the ledge of the stairs as he was overly excited about finishing off his opponent and falls to the bottom of the stairs. He gets up just in time to see Phillip standing over him ready to swing. Herman tries to block the incoming attack but Phillip knocks his weapon out of his hands. Phillip then rears back his weapon a second time aiming right for Herman's head. Simultaneously as Phillips weapon bares down upon Herman, Herman attempts to release his Shock Therapy attack one more time. Just as he can get off his attack, his head meets the skull of Phillips weapon. Herman just barely got off his attack but only after taking a fatal blow to the head.
Phillip screams in agony as his madness increases, unable to do anything more to Herman in his current state. He staggers away snapping himself out of the madness. Quickly regains his focus and rushes back over to Herman ready to strike again only to realize he is already dead. As Phillip walks towards Herman the entity grabs him and drags him into the Abyss.

The little retro-style pixel game they released for Season 3 was surprisingly good.
It probably would by why not keep the content coming in this game? I mean Resident evil is a AAA game and it has content in this game now. It's not like Netflix can't do both. If they're all powerful and money made like you all say than it's sad to think they can't do both. If anything this will do the opposite of what they want to achieve. It's not like people stopped playing resident evil...

How can i adjust my build, like bringing Franklins against 4 items, bringing a hook offering against potential sabo toolboxes, Lightborn against multiple flashlights or unequip my hex perk when 1 brings a map, if survs are able to equip or change their item last second?
I think items and add ons for both killers and survivors should be locked once they find a lobby. Same with perks. That or just don't let us see the items they bring in...
Either way I agree though it's annoying they can just switch right up until end.

I'm not buying the whole "well wraith kills people so he's obviously insane" shtick because then that could just be applied to every killer across the board. That's just not how insanity works- it's a broader term but "usually reserved for describing severe conditions involving psychotic-like breaks with reality."
You can be a murderer and still be completely in your right mind and know exactly what it is that you're doing. People that are mentally unhinged may be more prone to violence, but there's a very large gap between unhinged and certifiably insane. Truly, I don't think we have a single "Insane Killer" on the entire roster and we've yet to see one. Perhaps you could say the Doctor himself is insane but if he was performing valuable research for the CIA it's difficult to say whether or not his sense of reality was intact, if it wasn't then I doubt he'd be learning anything valuable. However there is the line in his lore: "Carter's experimental information extraction had turned to horrific and bizarre torture" but again it's difficult to say whether this is could be Carter working to uncover secrets of the human mind by pushing well past scientific ethical boundaries or if he's well and truly insane and he only "thinks" he's still doing valuable research and in reality he's making false connections in a broken reality- not real science anymore but simply human cruelty.
Aside from that the closest things we have to insane I would say are Ghostface and the Trickster- not because they've got broken perceptions of reality but because they are very obvious psychopaths. Charming and likable on the outside and pretend to care about others, but are completely cold-hearted and fail to form genuine attachments, opting to have completely shallow and fake relationships in order to maintain the facade of a normal life to cover their criminal activities.
But they definitely understand what they're doing- both killers have a twisted sense of pleasure and gratification from their violent acts and a sense of accomplishment or achievement for their respective "performances". (Ghostface performs for newspapers, the cops and local authorities, and enjoys the attention of the horrified public eye. Whereas Trickster performs for an oblivious loving audience / adoring fans and the undivided attention of his victims who are subject to his torture- the contributors to his "art").
EDIT: The Clown also- at least for a brief period also falls under a similar form of psychopathy. Using the circus to escape his crimes and surrounded by a close-knit community he was forced to learn to socialize: "He donned a new personality like a disguise, quickly becoming known as charming and helpful, and was welcomed into his new family." However this doesn't last and he falls back into bad habits and violent tendencies and the Clown unlike Trickster and Ghostface drops the charade: "He removed the costume less and less, shedding his old personality with it, fully embracing the clown, his true self." Perhaps making him closer to the behavior of a sociopath- who unlike Psychopaths who are more manipulative, detached, and meticulous in their planning: "Sociopaths experience anxiety and find rage far harder to control. They may act without thought and, as a result, they may have a harder time blending in. Inconsistencies between their words and their lives may be easier to see." which aligns perfectly with how the Clown eventually became complacent and sloppy.
Every other killer has some kind of motivation for why they kill: Ambition (Blight), Rage (Oni), Vengeance (Deathslinger), Fear (Leatherface), "Justice" (Pyramid Head - manifestation of guilt), Devotion (Plague), etc. so on and so forth so I'm just not sure that this necessarily means that they wouldn't be susceptible to The Doctor's madness.
NOTE: Yes I am entirely aware that I totally went off on a tangent- however, seeing as I wasted literally an entire hour on this train of thought with a bunch of research and lore digging and everything I'm still posting this comment. Even if it is completely unrelated, meant absolutely nothing, or is completely wrong, at this point too much time has been invested to just delete it.
TL;DR Killers are not completely insane, though likely many if not all are somewhere on the spectrum of mentally unhinged. Ergo Doctor's madness still works.
The Doctor's madness aside, he's still imo one of the more powerful killers in the entity's realm electricity is a high key busted supernatural power to have. And outside of the game from a lore standpoint- in a brawl with other killers he could up the voltage for more painful and devastating damage. At the current level of intensity it's enough to paralyze the survivors motor functions for a brief moment- long enough that they can't even raise their arms to drop a pallet or move their legs to vault a window. A similar effect could be easily reproduced and used against the killers (even if a greater voltage was necessary) and I could totally see the Doctor shocking one of the other killers right before they were to land an attacking blow. Also we see the Doctor applying a high enough voltage to kill a survivor directly to their brains during his mori- so there's also that.
And physically I don't think there's a lot of question regarding The Doctor's capabilities, dude literally tore the sleeves off his lab coat to show off those guns attached to his torso. I'm not saying he's the strongest killer out there- but it definitely doesn't seem like he's lacking either and I would say he's on the physically stronger end.
Ya that's a pretty big rant lol 😅. But interesting content. Would make a great college paper! As of right now it seems we're currently tied! I think regardless of Wraiths mental state the Sanity would affect him. Whether it's a small amount or a little. I really think the battle will involve a lot of stealth and hit and run tactics from the Wraith towards the Doctor. While the doctor tries to predict what the wraith will do. If the Doctor isn't careful the last thing he will hear is the sound of Wraiths Bell. But if the Wraith is too careless he will walk right into Doctors Electricity and fall even further into madness. I plan on having an elaborate showdown explained in writing once the winner is determined. Note I don't have a personal opinion in these so it's going to be strictly unbiased. If there is a tie the tie breaker will be determined by canon facts that you all argue here. I am saving my vote until the end.

Imagine if you killed 50 of a particular survivor (it's 50 because unlike Leatherface who needs 25, it's for EVERY killer so it's much easier to naturally get) you can get a corpse of them to put in the basement.

(an example of Bill where you can lean him against a basement wall)
This is most likely where I'd go if I could customize the basement, try to make it as disturbing as possible. If I can customize the basement mid lobby I'd chose only the 4 specific survivors I see in the lobby to place in the basement (because I'd feel it'd be more creepy to see a dead you then a dead somebody else, but that's just personal preference).
I like that! Some people want to bring on the gore and other unicorns and ponies lol

Ok this isn't a rant or a rage post first of all. This is just a suggestion and I'd like to hear everyone else's thoughts about this.
So, I believe the wiggle mechanic is fine the way it is. However, I believe the amount of hooks on any given map is too much. I am aware you can use offerings (but let's be honest, 4 petrified oaks aren't going to do a whole hell of a lot by themselves or compared to one TREMENDOUSLY decrease hook distance killer offering) and I am aware you can use certain perks to help and that the mechanic isn't meant to be a guarantee.
My problem with it is that it's almost always never going to do much more than keep you from going to basement across map barring agitation and such. Most of the time, wiggling is pointless and the BP isn't really worth it either.
Now, on to my point. I'd like to see a better hook mechanic in general where those offerings are no longer about distance but removing a set amount of hooks guaranteed. For killer, you add 1, 2, or 3, for survivors, you remove one hook to a maximum of 2 removed regardless of whether 2 offerings or 4 were used by the survivors. And instead of having 20 hooks spread evenly across the map, you have maybe 10-13 on larger maps and 6-9 for smaller maps ie The Game/Hawkins Lab.
This not only allows the killer to still have just as much leeway with hooking but it also allows survivors at least a slim chance of escaping if they have a good team, perks, or the killer didn't pay attention to where he was killing another survivor on hook. In this equation though, I am NOT counting basement hooks in those numbers per map. Basement will still be the same.
After playing both killer and survivor, I like the idea of having to strategically place my downs on hooks but also being able to have a slim chance to escape if my team is good. This brings about some build changes which I like:
New killer meta perks like agitation, mad grit, and iron grasp becoming bigger in killer builds
New survivor perks like flip flop, dance with me, etc becoming bigger in survivor builds
Paying attention to your surroundings as killer as well as having the skill to know where to hook people
Making consoles actually want to struggle because there's a possibility it's worth it (if you're a console that struggles, that wasn't directed at you)
Teammates actually wanting to help because they know it won't be for nothing because a hook isn't there every 10m
I for one LOVE the feel of gambling to a hook as a killer so this would make that heart pounding sensation even better if I succeed, in my own personal opinion. I'd like to get everyone's thoughts on this because I'd really like to see what the PTB could do with this. It just seems like a fun way to make the game more exciting and adrenaline packed since you have to be careful and smart as a killer but you won't feel so doomed every time you get downed as a survivor, even if you get hooked.
Thoughts?
Out of everything they could change right now I think the way it is now is set. I like the idea though but Killers struggle enough as it is. But if I were to change it... Hmm... Honestly I'd I can't really think of that needing to change. I think loops should be fixed before anything else.

Leatherface, Freddy, Michael, Ghostface, Pyramid head, Nemesis, and Pig, all killers that we have seen before the year 2000 (Nemesis almost being modern but is 1 year short, 1999) (And I don't count Demo given he's really not that iconic. For Stranger things? Yes, but not in a general sense like all the others, also he's in season 1 out of 4, can't really compare him)
There are so many slashers and creatures that have come out since 2000 that BHVR haven't even touched. My Bloody Valentine, The Mist, Dog Soldiers, Slither, A Quiet Place, Hollow Man, American Psycho, Purge, etc.
And don't forget the games like Dead Space, Fear, Amnesia, Siren, Fnaf, Evil Within, Outlast, etc.
Some of these might not be iconic to you, but they ARE iconic to others.
All these deserve some position in the "Horror Hall of Fame", and yet all we've seen is ancient history.
First I want to say I 100% agree with you!
Dead Space for me is my most anticipated DLC hope for this game. It is a modern horror genre that deserves a slot in DBD.
Dead Space is actually a very Iconic Game. Actually the 1st Dead Space is one of the best games constructed in history.
It was critically acclaimed and went on to not only a trilogy but spiked comics and even a couple of animated movies.

It's not unheard of for games to take a long time to optimize though. Back in the day when a game was released it was simple. You released it and it was done until a sequel. If there were any bugs too bad the game was released. But now game developers can actively work on content and fix games thanks to the amazing internet! I'm not down playing what you're saying. But believe me there are games out there that are older than DBD that are still being tweaked.

Hellraiser fans are pretty used to that.
That said, I feel the same way about fnaf. I felt the same way about RE. Just sucks that HR fans finally get something, and it's marred by an outrage.
Ya I would rather have Hellraiser than FNAF though if I am being honest. If they put spring trap in this game I'll laugh. I really don't think FNAF has a place in DBD.

What is the most universal/community accepted way to tell another survivor that I have the key, know where the hatch is, and that they should follow me now so we can escape through it (1-2 gens left, 2-3 survivors alive)? We're not on voice chat or text chat, of course.
Pointing and motioning with 1 & 2 on PC sometimes gets ignored. So sad. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.
For those that will say that they are dumb and deserve to die because they should have seen my key in the lobby, I'm talking about keys obtained within the match from a chest.

Kind of like PH cage? Only the survivors are trapped by cenobites practicing acupuncture?

For example, some creature from the black lagoon type killer with a map-pool (hah!) that would have flooded areas.
Also, how would this killer handle non-flooded maps. would it be possible to restrict what maps they could spawn on and introduce flooded versions of certain maps (e.g. swamp, coldwind etc)?
would that work?
Only way I could see it working is if the power adds water to the map in certain areas of the map or something. Kind of like how Nemesis adds zombies. But I wouldn't restrict survivors going through any areas. Unless they add swimming to the game.

This I would imagine...

Or..
If you're in dying state for too long and Killer can't find you, hatch is closed, gates are not open, you bleeding in corner of map hugging walls, your position (aura) is revealed to the Killer within a range of 128 metres.
@Top_Secret_117 said:
Everyones been in the situation at least once where your bleeding out in the dying state for way too long, or your the last survivor downed without adrenaline or unbreakable and the killer cant find you, hatch is closed and you have zero odds of survival but are forced to sit through your fate.
Why not just make it base kit with a huge caveat. once you recover to 95% if there is 2 or less survivors remaining in the trial, you can fully recover at the cost of one of your remaining hooks, and you get up needing to mend.
HOWEVER
If you are on your last hook, you get up without the need to mend, you are permanently broken, and face a new status effect, Impermanence. You have 80 seconds before you die, even if you go down again. While afflicted with Impermanence, a killer can chose to mori you without any offerings. Performing rushed actions causes you to scream in pain and also decreases your time by 2 seconds and movement speed by 1% up to a maximum of 20 seconds reduced and 10% movement lost. You also bleed more frequently.
In most events of 2 survivors remaining, killers can easily slug to get a 4k, this would add a built in countermeasure to that mindset, which would give the last survivor better odds of finding hatch if killer hangs the 3rd survivor instead of slugging now. Alternatively they still slug, with Impermanence, he now has to do so knowing the other survivor can get back up, and puts the killer at risk.
The purpose is to still give you hope where there can be a frustrating moments in game that currently are only preventable with specific perks. Now while being extremely fragile and nearing death, you have a real chance and hope too, loot a box for a key, or find hatch if you have a key, and finish or pressure last gen.
Let me know what you guys think, I have 2k hours and every acheivement, needless to say I play both sides and I think that even for killers this would be a breath of fresh air to add a level of challenge and dynamic to my easy 4k slug matches while realisticly still seeing niche success on the survivor end to the point that it would be well enjoyed on both sides.
I actually like both these ideas. I'd actually take it one step further and reduce the survivors movement speed by half. Again this whole concept should be just to add a little flavor to survivor gameplay when in these situation. Mechanics and times could be tweaked of course. But overall a good idea actually. I primarily play 50/50 of killer and survivor so it'd be fine with me either way. I'd actually enjoy seeing a survivor hobbling around desperately trying to survive. Get rid of the dying timer and just keep it with the normal end game collapse timer. And the killer can see your aura in some capacity.

It would be so nice if we could. They could add these into the Rift so it's not just Charms and Cosmetics only
That's also a great addition to this idea! I could see that being one of the ways but not the only way of doing so. But that's a different discussion. But I like the idea of unlocking cosmetic stuff for you basement!

So this became really apparent with the new teases. People going after each other no matter the side for their respective character. Threats to people just because they want a certain character and vice versa. Unneccessary insults and antagonizing. It tears me apart seeing this stuff. But I digress. With all this stuff happening I wonder if my polls are or will incite this violence and if I should shut them down. I don't want to be a center of this #########. So should I shut these polls down.
If I'm being honest it's going to happen regardless whether you make the poll or not. Now if you're just trying to not contribute to it? That's up to you mate. I think the character polls are a little over used personally as plenty of content creators already make them. It's nice to see them on forums once in a while though. I would maybe space them out like once a month or something. Constantly speculating can almost ruin the anticipation of the next DLC.
EDITED* But I should emphasize I do like polls like these.

This would be cool! Although it would have to be implemented in a way that didn't make the basement safer/more dangerous for survivors so as to preserve game balance.
I've learned to not write a whole paper on initial posts for things like this or people wont read it...
I know people have talked about basements matching the killers theme or something like that before. I mean that alone would be cool enough as it is! The basement really really needs to match the theme of every killer. The same old basement gets old.
But also or just being able to customize your own basement would be really cool I think! Whether you could make one for each killer or just a default one for all your killers is an idea too. But in this example I'll just use a default customized basement for all of your killers.
But ya you wouldn't be able to make it any more dangerous or change the hook locations. I'm talking more just about cosmetically.

Would you consider Nemesis elaborate, or just ranged with extra steps? Nemesis is very fun to me.
I certainly think The Twins are cool, but no way in hell am I making 5 people suffer every match.
I'd consider him elaborate. He has a tier system for his power and has zombies on the map. He also brings in chests with the cure in it.

i think this game lacks some atmospheric stuff as well as more interactive stuff for survivors. Killers already have plenty to though.
for atmospheric stuff I think about something like the crows, made a suggestion/concept for spiderwebs for example which also may give survivor some kind of interactivity.
For survivor gameplay, it’s either hold M1 (repair, gates, healing, totems, chests) and only when they interact with the killers or have to search for hidden totems/gens (indoor maps) they actually do something..
I mean I could see killer basements matching the theme of every killer which would be cool. I know ideas of this have been discussed before.

Im not, im making silly examples as reasons, as I just mentioned I need a definition, I want a dev to tell me what counts as harassment and what doesnt, this is good though, we are making progress, we have already established that the killer can do whatever they want, including tunneling certain players because "they are gay", they just cant admit to it, that would be bannable, now moving on:
saying you did what you did because someone is gay is not allowed and is harassment.
saying you did what you did because someone is wearing glasses is? not allowed? harassment?
saying you did what you did because someone is a woman? harassment?
saying you did what you did because someone brought a flashlight? harassment?
It is 100% harassment for his gay comment... Wearing glasses is not a protected group so no... Someone who is a woman would be harassment, someone who brought a flashlight... the fact you are comparing protected groups to clothing and objects is just insulting now. If you honestly can't answer these for yourself you should go talk to someone.

Im not sure what you mean exactly by "acting in bad faith".
Let me be clear her and say that im not a factor in this discussion, I think everyone is equal and am in full support of LGBT etc.
Im merely questioning where the line lies and how those rules are formulated.
I really cannot think of how to condense it down any further then I already have, tunneling and camping is something players like myself see as unfun and unfair but its the devs that said its fine, its also the devs that ban for harassment.
But what was the harassment? well ultimately its only the claim in the endgame chat, thats the only harassment here, were the claim not made then it would have been just like any other match, just the knowledge that maybe you were treated exactly the same way you were always treated but this time not because the killer simply wanted you dead but because "you were gay" suddenly makes it all very different.
Again even though its the exact same perfectly fine and allowed gameplay AND is the killer even allowed to admit to any form of reasoning why they wanted a specific player dead? flashlight, yellow sweater, playing dwight, playing Ash, just anything at all or is that all seen has harassment? and if not then what exactly is, what is the definition? only minorities? what if you kill claudettes because they have glasses? can you be banned for harassment for that?
But yeah its a rather pointless discussion, I would really need a person who is actually responsible for maintaining the rules to give a defined reasoning.
I will assume you're mature enough and knowledgeable enough to know the difference here. You're either trolling or just naïve and should think before you speak. Beyond that I have nothing else more to say to you.

@BioX said:
Right so anything I mentioned, no matter what action is, if anyone asks a killer in the endgame chat: "why did you do X" and the killer answers "because they are gay (or black or so) then thats just a ban.
its not about what the killer actually does, its about the claimed reasoning behind it, and that can lead to a ban.
and it would also still be a problem if they said "because they were wearing a yellow sweater" as that would also constitute some sort of pre-determined targeting.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2423951#Comment_2423951
But then we come back to where its established that according to the devs (and those are the ones that ban people), tunneling and camping is perfectly fine and part of the game.
So just like doing a little spin, it does not hurt the game, again im talking from the devs perspective, ours does not matter, to the devs hard tunneling is just as allowed and fine as doing a little spin.
thats been my problem from the start, yeah they admit to have done so based on certain reasons, but the gameplay is not different from any other game where the killer has other motivations for doing the exact same thing.
Yes you're finally catching on. That's literally the argument point I was trying to explain to you.
You are right when you say,
"Right so anything I mentioned, no matter what action is, if anyone asks a killer in the endgame chat: "why did you do X" and the killer answers "because they are gay (or black or so) then thats just a ban."But if you think a yellow sweater and being gay are comparable you're unbearably naïve.
