Would only work once against competent survivors and never again.
She is another addon dependent killer who is decent at closing a single loop but has little to offer against Press W play. Ability to remove her crows by going into lockers doesn't make sense since survivors can already remove them while being chased with almost no penalty. The only reason why some people think she is strong is because they still try to stay in the same loop against her and end up being punished for that, also her low pick rate means less people have opportunity to practice playing against her.
But it stops them from using the lockers, which is what you want… so what one is it
-
I'm having a great time this iteration, it's been a lot of fun. Definately a mode aimed at more casual players, and I love it for that, I've had so many varied matches and killers I dont normally see. Great fun.
-
I've really enjoyed the mode this time around, on survivor and killer. Mode is casual perkless chase gameplay.
The lantern complaints I dont understand because killers can see you from a mile away, makes it easier to track them. The anti-camp is more than fair, infact it's been creating more fair games punishing killers who make that their whole playstyle, I'd argue I wish it was in the main mode (not the radius, just the bar goes up still if someone is nearby) it'd help solo Q so much, keeps the game going too.
I do think Killers should be able to get a lantern equivalent that lets them see further at the price of being visible. -
Counter point: removing birds by going into lockers is something I like coz of Iron maiden synergy, more people should try it on her.

Agree. Graphics in this game are already pretty good, and I don't want to have to get another new PC just to run it. Guess I could just lower settings though.
I really think instead of a whole graphics overhaul, a coding overhaul is more needed to streamline the game, make the code easier to manage, fix bugs and inconsistencies that frustrate players, and eliminate cheating once and for all.
I disagree strongly they are awful, survivor shoulders collapsing, faces breaking, animations in general look bad, faces don't even look anywhere near their likeness. Dwights torso is 2x longer than it should be, male survivor arms are short. Maps like swamp etc exist where they just look outdated.
You just need to play any other modern game to see it's awful rn,
Btw scalability is a thing you guys, it might be easier to run than you think. -
For me it's whether or not we're still getting an outfit system for Legendary characters as there is so many outfits I'd like to see added or the likes of MiNa get more.

Really? I don't notice any delay on my Xbox and I've been playing DbD for years on it.
Really noticeable on skill checks when you have played on PC
-
I hope these lines are actually the characters talking at some point if its even optional, It'd be so fun to interact with other survivors in more ways when playing alone.
It'd also be really immersive when you're all working together and you can hear like Claire and Leon co-operating, or also hillarious for you both to be going "Yes, no, yes, no" on a gen at each other. -
I think the Judgement should explode if she walks back and forth on a slugged survivor, coz she is a holy being who is above such behaviour.

Controller is literally better for survivor, I don't understand the console hate
I don't either but there is a native input delay for XBOX and PS which I hope they fix one day, it's the only reason I won't play them on my console atm.
Like it's not even there for steam deck either, and I use the same OLED TV for all of them. -

killers do not have undetectable its survivors have oblivious and elusive sense they leave no scratch marks but still see red stains which is alot of infromation when looping the killer doesnt get with no scratch marks.
I mean technically it's neither coz the status doesnt show up, if you want to get all AKTUALLY lol
Hiding lullabies on the Accessibility is crazy good -

I love lights out. Easily my favorite among 2v8 and chaos shuffle, which I absolutely despise. Lights out restores the proper horror aesthetic to dbd and gets rid of the annoying overinflated slog of power crept perks and addons. If any modifier would become permanent, I wish it were this one. It wouldn't even affect the queues because it doesn't draw in casuals or the sweats. Just a niche fun version of dbd.
I love that about it too! I really hope it does come back from time to time.
-
Console still has awful input delay too on both XBOX/PS5
Also you cant even lower your sensitivity to a point for people who like a slower camera on higher dpi like FPS games -
I prefer sniping over hyper mobility, it kind of reminds me of artist but a better version of her? At least you can react/position accordingly to a sniper, whilst Nurse is like if she is good you are hit regardless.
There is still mindgames at long distance and I love that about the Judgements design so far. -

in the community stream last month, they said that we’ll hear more about the MMR update in a livestream sometime in August (i’m guessing on the 25th right before the Chorus of Sin chapter releases).
The reason it’s not in the PTB nor the patch notes is because they don’t use MMR in the PTB, so it wouldn’t make sense putting a patch note for something that’s not in.
Thank you, I figured there was a chance it might be in soon since they said on the livestream that it's already live in the bg collecting data, just not actively being used.
So lots of news to look forward to <3 -
@Salafur said:
the mode is way to survivor sided as every damn mode in this game. 4 perks for survivors directly equipped to them by the mode in a mode without perks is insane
and the killer has permanent undetectable that even hides lullabies and franklins for found items and survivors are also blind to all interactions they are doing (healing and recovering mainly), something a killer doesn't really need to see.
Both have their upsides and downsides. -
You're holding a lantern, of course you can see, in an indoor map no less lol
The trade off is the killer can see you, I've avoided using lanterns so I can stealth more. -
It's a casual mode where the modifier opens up a lot more mistakes on survivor side coz of the limited visibility, so to keep the games short, coz killer can snowball really easily, so it only makes sense survivor can snowball easily too?
It's just a fun short game of frights thats aimed at a more casual playerbase looking for scares.
Like if the mode isn't for you its fine, you can just play normal.
As for Hyperfocus stake out they made it clear some perks are being targetted which fall outside of DR's effects, so it could be among them. -
I enjoy it for the experience more than actually trying to get out, playing survivor can be terrifying haha
I've been lucky enough to get ghostface, unknown, chuckie -
It wouldnt be so bad if the netcode wasnt so terrible, it really needs fixed lol
-
Dracula wolf form needs them as the wolf form doesnt get bloodlust, it also can't work with any of the event modes as wolf form can't use event powers or the like either.
If the wolf form got nerfed it'd literally be good for nothing now diminishing returns exists. -

Tips are just ignore his chests and never crouch a skulls in a loop if you don't have a few meters distance.
People looting his chests wasting so much time just to find a single usefull anti-mage hand item that is still disabled by a sphere.
Please just ignore his chests they are not worth your time at all.
mage hand haste is really nice to have I find lol

For some reason survivors being dismembered, tortured, and otherwise murdered is less controversial than the slightest amount of cleavage or underwear that isn't a black void.
this is literally what makes me laugh, it's horror, a genre full of revealing outfits
-
Unknown, Trickster, Houndmaster and Artist for me
-
it would be a silly mode, I'd run all traps illusions and head on, on survivor.
-
More chests means more side objectives for the survivors to interact with too, it's a win win!
And killer chest perks also get a buff! -

If a new killer comes out, and a killer player wants to try to learn them, they can play 20 games and get 20 full games of learning how to play them. A survivor wanting to learn the killer specific counterplay can play 20 games, and in those 20 games they may not get the new killer every single game, and in the games they do get most of the game will be spent healing, on hook, on gens, and generally not actually being in chase so they learn at a slower rate, not to mention the possibility of being taken out of the game early.
Imo I feel like this would lead to killers figuring out the killer first, while survivors have to play longer to even things out due to the game being asymmetrical. It kind of happened with Henry, where he was considered oppressive and overpowered by many survivors on launch, and as they figured out the counterplay he sort of fell off and not many people talk about him now.
I could be wrong, but that's how I see it and how it feels when I'm playing survivor vs killer after a new release.Actually thinking on this, it would make sense if killer queues weren't 8 minutes at Jasons launch.
But they were, so… technically speaking killers would get into a fraction of the games survivors do. -

removing Jason from June stats would then be incorrect though - because he was the top naturally during that month - its unfortunate timing on the release, but if we'd removed him we'd have an equal amount of outcry that we "cherrypicked" the data.
But now you're gonna be both doubted and have no evidence to back it up, cherry picked or not?
Like personally I'd rather see the "Cherry pick" especially if it had the context rather than nothing at all. Because I want to see things from the developer perspective, much like the vigil nerf where my stats were sat at 40 percent escape rate but I have no idea what the global escape rate was for it, so I saw no issue. (I'm not against it being nerfed, I just have 0 context as to why)
Unless you're getting at the event queue, which, you could just strip that from the results and no one would question it. -

You kinda can. Early on, I was getting ATON of just normal M1 hits after a teleport. M1s are not hard in the least and I could go the whole match off JUST M1s. Now people are more on point with running as SOON as they see the animation rather than waiting for the scream. Less free M1s.
People were also missing m2's or not using omnipresent evil at all, or to fix hooks, or using builds that synergise with him.
I never said it wasn't the case, but there is definitely more context to look into here. -

The important point I do want to emphasize regarding The Slasher is that these stats only take into account his first 2 weeks in the game. During this time, players were still very much figuring out his counterplay, which likely had an impact on his kill rate. Rest assured, we're continuing to monitor his kill rate over time to see how this evolves.
I don't know about that, hex jason was incredibly oppressive, counterplay or not.
By that logic, people also didn't know how to play as him yet? Yet were effective as him? I don't think we can just paint that context over it so easily. -

If a survivor BM in the distance or while I am chasing i still need to play the game, how would I watch YT if I still need to chase the survivors and try to apply pressure, when you are slugged you don't need to do anything (crawl maybe to a pallet but after that you are idle) so as survivor when killer BM you, you can just watch YT with minimal attention to the game until you are hooked or picked up, like that's what I am trying to say.
It does happen to both sides and I understand that but the fact is that survivors do it every single time you lose as killer just to show how "good" they are while carried by a bunch of broken perks.
Everytime you say something there is literally killers who do the equivalent, "Broken perks" what about a broken killer with broken perks? Hello?
This is again stinking of us vs them lol -
@SpyUA said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4102724#Comment_4102724
There are more survivors doing it compared to killers, personally I only BM the survivors only if they t-bagged or a bully squad (not all of them t-bag) and many other killers do the same. Also when you are slugged and getting BM'd watch YT or something but killers need to still play.
LMAO Couldn't you also just watch YT or something and stop playing if bmed? It doesn't work like that does it, you are playing the game coz you want to play it.
If you're gonna dress BM as an us vs them issue, it's not gonna be empathised with, it happens to both sides whether you like it or not, maybe if you came at it with "Yeah it sucks when it happens to both sides" I'd deffo be more inclined to listen to you. -
And killers can also bm on the ground with the back and forth while slugging, lol

I'd think pwyw should theoretically make killer queues shorter since more people would be active on survivor instead of clogging up the line doing nothing. The fact that it's only available on killer is also pretty telling. Even when survivor has a queue and killer doesn't (which is currently rare) there's no option for survivors to play killer while they wait.
I didn't think about it that way, you're right
-
Yeah I agree, BP events need to be added to more interactions. This also goes for survivor perks, we still don't have BP Events for:
-Wiretap
-Mirrored Illusion
-Pebble (I think)
among others, I just think the game could feel a bit more rewarding for using abilities/perks -
For me its Nostromo, man I really want to like that map coz of Alien but nope, its doodoo
-
If I'm in the area to punish it, yeah I will, otherwise if I've already got pressure going elsewhere, why let up? I use Friends til the end and Furitive though to enable that kind of playstyle however.
My favourite recently was I had a game with really good pressure and a Nea runs at me with DS, to save her friend, which fair enough (I thought it'd had ran out by the time I grabbed her coz I slugged her for a while), then in endgame when she unhooked in my face and they all died for it she called me a tunneler lmao probably was a bit however, can't be that self unaware.
Anyways, with the new elusive, I'd say keep doing it, if it's too much of an issue BHVR would have changed it by now. -

Yeah I don't know why so many people won't just admit that killer has had a big spike in popularity lately. Anyone who watches the queue times has seen the change since Jason's release. Either more people want to play killer than they did 2 months ago or less people want to play survivor. Those are the two options.
Play while you wait might have something to do with it also, I'd love to see the percentage of players who use it
Coz I bet there is a lot of people who'd not normally play killer if the queues are long doing it coz of play while you wait. -

I just hope it gets attention because they are iconic characters, my best friend also really wants Shanoa.

Ugh I'd love that <3
Also like you said Shanoa Maria etc would be lovely. -
Yeah it's something that can be really annoying with the go next prevention
-
Maybe a killer can open a chest or an interactable on the map and be gifted with 2 random addons, they also keep them after the end of the match (works on ones you bring)
That way it's exactly like the survivor equivalent -
I'm excited for the new one, hope they consider Rose for the game if it does well <3
I'd also love Carmilla skin for Dracula -
Yeah, I wish they were more transparent if this is one of the issues the new version of the game aims to tackle. Because it's a huge huge problem, that's really awful for the game.
-
it's funny coz this map was considered so good even Identity V copied the layout lol

@DanielPaint1 said:
Many people explained why Vigil is problematic. Now it get's nerfed from 66% quicker recovery from almost every negative Status effect to 40%
I would say a nerf is better then nothing but...why are we again just getting a stat change instead of a proper rework? Yeah it isn't as strong as before but it still doesn't fix why this perk is so broken.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/264UUC512HDN/33437.png
There shouldn't be a SINGLE perk that:
Counters multiple Killer Perks
Buff multiple Survivor Perks
Counters the Killers Power
Counters Killers Addon
Works for all 4 Survivors when just 1 person brings it
Name me one other Perk on either side that does all these things to this extent. Lowering the number is all good and needed but it still doesn't fix the core issue.
That it does its job? It's better to talk about how it's currently 40 percent of the debuff removed so like exhaustion is from 40 to like 21ish I think, with the nerf it'll be 44 percent so 30 percent reduction off the overall debuff, so exhaustion will now be reduced to 28s from 40s.
-
I love her design visually, however I really dislike her voice but that could just be the example they gave was really bad stream audio quality. Maybe I'll like it more when I hear a clearer example.
-
I like this idea, it would certainly make more perks enticing!
-
If it helps they are doing the visual update for all survivors and licenses I believe so I imagine she'll look a lot better.
What we need more than anything is her heels.
