  • It's actually the worst exhaustion perk in my opinion. At least head on can be used on every map. Some games you'll legit just get zero value from balanced due to the map having few or even no drops.

I've picked up here and there that people are thoroughly annoyed with the way the bloodweb throws random perks at you to unlock and level, which means that as you acquire more perks, you are sometimes left leveling up dozens of times before a perk becomes available, all at pure RNG.

My suggestion is that Prestiging a character allows you to choose a perk to be permanently available on all characters.

For example: You prestige David King once, you get to choose: Dead Hard, No Mither or WGLF. You -obviously- choose the best perk in the game, and now when you switch over to your level 1 Zarina, there's No Mither in all its glory, available straight from the start!

This would add a gameplay value to prestige and could alleviate the problem of overflowing perk lists, all in one fell swoop.

This is a fantastic idea! Which is exactly why Behaviour won’t do it.

I agree with making them more alike.✅

However playing on low graphics as an advantage is kinda cheap. PC players are usually better but who knows how many mods and cheap ######### they run just to get an edge. Disappointed with you cheap pc bois.

How’s it cheap though? It’s not an exploit like stretched res. Being able to lower the graphics for better fps is completely intended on PC.

Not at all. Teabagging doesn't interact with the killer the same way actually hitting survivors on the hook does. A killer can chase me for doing it. I can't do anything on the hook when they hit me.

Can’t do much about teabagging if they’re at the exit gates. Best you can do in that situation is to just force them out. Plus both are done for the same reason. It’s usually just a middle finger to the opposite side. That wasn’t my point anyway. My point is that punishing players for ‘toxic’ behaviours is not a very smart thing to do.

  • @KateMain86 said:

So just had a match against a myers that was going well for me until the killer decided to go full on toxic because I outplayed them. First I was able to wiggle out of my first down before being hooked. The next thing I did was sabo a hook to save my teammate from being hooked and it worked. I then began trying to divert the killer's attention from other survivors by placing myself in plain sight and running in the direction of the killer. When the killer finally started chasing me again I ran them for a long time. I think it was 2 generators worth of time. The killer missed several hit attempts on me but finally got me down. It was my first hook so I wasn't worried until the killer decided to face camp me and presume to repeatedly hit me on the hook. What was my crime? Playing the game and doing well at it. Not a single t-bag the entire time that I can remember. I just did what any team player would do which is try to help my team and win. 2 of my teammates attempted to save me but the campy killer wouldn't allow it. Sure enough I died on my first hook all because the killer started to play super toxic after hooking me.

I have had this happen to me several times before and have seen it happen to others as well. Its one thing to camp which is toxic enough and ruins the game for people but to hit me on the hook over and over because you're pissed that someone outplayed you for half the match is pathetic. If you're that soft skinned and have to resort to face camping and hitting someone on the hook repeatedly then this isn't the game for you.

So suggestion time. I think if killers hit you on the hook when no other survivors are around (to avoid the argument of the killer was just trying to hit someone else and not you) they should be penalized. The more they do it the more penalty they receive. It should affect their BPs and pips. I'm not sure if this would be enough to deter killers playing like this so I am open to ideas as well for anyone that wants to give their suggestions on the matter too.

Ah well if we’re going to penalise hitting the hooked person then we might as well punish survivors for teabagging. Seems ridiculous doesn’t it?

  • @Nullclines said:

As a killer main, I wouldn't be against this. It feels like a very cheap, undeserved victory when a survivor misses a save by a matter of milliseconds.

But maybe it really was that bad when it was implemented; I wasn't here to see it.

They’re not entitled to get the save. If they mess it up then that’s on them. Too bad, so sad.

  • @Fantasy said:

The window to get a flashlight save kinda sucks. Sometimes I'll get it and sometimes I won't even though my timing is pretty much the same everytime. I just think if you get points for the blind and the flashlight does the animation they should drop the survivor. It's rare you get the opportunity to do so anyway.

    No.

Oh no, now you're being theatrical, snarky, and now putting words in my mouth.

I never implied that survivors are never idle. That came out of your mind, take responsibility for it instead of trying to pretend that I said that.

My point was that it involves management of when to use Sprint Burst and when not to. You have multiple objectives to do as a survivor and subsequently you are going to have to run from point A to B to get things done efficiently, as even using Fixated isn't fast enough to do them when needed many times. There's also the fact that as killer, you can make the distance gained from Sprint Burst and Lithe (maybe not Balanced Landing because of how it's activated) less effective by moving in a certain direction. There is nothing you can do to shorten the distance of Dead Hard. The fact that Sprint Burst overrides the general running function is huge, meaning you have to manage its exhaustion to try your best to be able to use it in chase (or to avoid a chase) as you don't necessarily get to pick when the killer comes to you. Ideally, you manage it in a way where it's activated at all times, even when the killer is likely to come to you.

Whether or not you heard it is irrelevant. But you obviously need to manage the exhaustion more so particularly for Sprint Burst than Dead Hard.

I never said Sprint Burst was sparsely used in red ranks or that it was not common. Just said Dead Hard is used more in red ranks. Are you now lying about what I said because you're too dense to actually come up with rebuttals to what I said? And yea, I've been red ranks on both ends for quite a while now. What's your next lame attempt to try and discredit what I'm saying?

Oh my days what a loser you're being. I never said only Dead Hard is included in the meta in regards to Exhaustion perks; in fact, I said the opposite:

The meta has always been minimum: DS/Unbreakable/DH. The only other Exhaustion perk that can be traded for Dead Hard is Sprint Burst.

Imagine having to lie while arguing with someone because you're too thick to actually formulate rebuttals to defend your point. I'm out, I'm not arguing with a half-wit tyke.

"I never implied that survivors are never idle. That came out of your mind, take responsibility for it instead of trying to pretend that I said that."

No you didn't. You implied that there is this "management" to Sprint Burst that it must be so hard to obtain. When you are (as I pointed out) LITERALLY idling for a majority of the game anyway and re-gaining your exhaustion back for doing nothing. Stop acting like you have to go through great lengths and extremes in order to get access to the perk.

I am not discrediting your point about management to Sprint Burst, I am simply pointing out that it does not apply to Dead Hard because all exhaustion perks function differently. I don't know why you don't understand the basic concept of how perks work.

"The meta has always been minimum: DS/Unbreakable/DH"

    Again. That's your opinion.

Keep calling me a loser and whatever other "clever" names you come up with, at least I don't have to reach down to your vitriol in order to get my points across.

What’d I ######### say? “Please be respectful if a debate breaks out”. Not seeing that in these comments. We’re all big boys and girls. We can have a discussion about video games without childish insults.

dead hard is a counterplay against killer camping the exit gate. Why are killer mains always bitching about survivors perks?

What? Surely you could go to the other gate? Also, I regularly play survivor with my friends so I don’t know why you just assumed I’m a killer main.

  • @RenTheCat said:

You know you can bait them into wasting it or just miss the hit and then hit them again?

In what scenarios are we talking about here? In some scenarios yes, Dead hard is mostly just a mild annoyance. In others, it can actually waste a lot of the killers time. Plus, I’m talking about the design of the perk, not the strength of it.

  • @BSVben said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/241822/ok-this-is-getting-out-of-hand

To be honest, you picked a very weak killer, picked the most busted map in the game, brought no add-ons and were running perks with very little value.

The outcome was probably going to be the same irregardless of the survivor ranks.

Yeah exactly this. You can’t handicap yourself in every way possible and then act confused or annoyed when you lose. The ranks are definitely wack but as you said, the result likely would’ve been the same regardless.

    Unpopular opinion, but Myers.

He just feels outdated, and honestly power creep has left him in a pretty iffy spot right now.

I actually agree. Myers is in awful state right now. His power doesn’t help much with chase at all, even when he’s tier 3, he’s not all that scary as long as you aren’t in a dead zone. It doesn’t help that he’s just completely overshadowed by Oni who is essentially Myers 2.0. Myers really needs some kind of mobility tool. Perhaps to differentiate him from Oni, Myers could get some mobility tool that he unlocks when he hits tier 3 for the first time and then he’d have access to the mobility throughout the game regardless of your tier.

  • @Enlyne said:

Uh so, basically if we want to give the extra points or wait in case someone gets hooked, screw survivors for it?

I've never seen somebody whine about BP gains.

I think it's not really about the bp, for me at least I'd prefer to just not bother going to the exit as killer in the first place. Sometimes survivors are nice and give me points but the vast majority of the time, they just teabag, clicky clicky, or leave after waiting for no reason. I'd rather not deal with that crap, especially if my mood has already been soured by what's probably been an utter defeat. There's also the humiliation of it, no other game makes me feel THIS bad for losing. Probably because if I've lost in many other games then they just end immediately, whereas in DBD there's the long and tedious process of forcing the survivors out if they decide to make the killer wait. They can't really change this without reworking the way the endgame works as well as reworking all of the end game perks. So unfortunately, this long drawn out loss will remain.

My point was none of us on console can ever do this "jflick" or anything similar because you cannot use Keyboard & Mouse on console for DBD. The devs have stated it would be very difficult and take way too long to implement it, so it ain't coming.

I have actually seen console players j flicking. It's just tremendously more difficult and would probably require the turn rate add-ons.

BBQ should reveal survivors' locations with bubbles instead of auras. This stops the killer from seeing injured survivors and tunneling them (you know, that thing that everyone says this perk does/encourages...)

If BBQ is "fine as is," then Rancor needs to be changed and only show the location of the Obsession.

How exactly does BBQ encourage tunnelling? If you've just hooked someone else and the injured person is at least 40 meters away then you are not tunnelling that person. They had ample time to get away.

  • @Jaydix said:

This perk is plainly too strong. I see so many killers defend it by downplaying its effectiveness. Not only does it provide an astounding amount of extra bloodpoints, but it provides vision of the enemy team. I've heard the rebuttals... "It's so easily countered" "Hide in a locker" "Run one way and then after 4 seconds, run the opposite way". This is absolutely ridiculous. No survivor perk forces a killer to essentially WASTE TIME to counter a perk.

Now, before killers jump on me and scream "Borrowed Time! -- Decisive Strike! -- Unbreakable!!!"-- let's get this out of the way:

These perks do not change the killer gameplay, they counter the killer EXPLOITS. Camping a hook can only be countered by BT. If you decide to still proceed with this type of tactic, BT will punish this. If you further STILL decide to beat through the BT and tunnel this player, it is punished by DS. If you decide to slug because you aware that you have tunneled and are rightly concerned about DS, this tactic is countered by UB. Notice that these gameplay decisions are baseline for killer and NOT empowered by perk slots. However, Survivors must use these perks on the off-chance (most likely chance) that they will happen.

So, rounding back to BBQ, having this power is too strong. It effectively trivializes an entire component of the killer gameplay... Hunting. This is exacerbated further by select killers... namely Spirit, Nurse, Blight, Hillbilly... extreme mobility can counter even the fickle proposed 'counters' to this perk.

I've asked the opinion of BBQ to a vast selection of players. Each of them parrot similar responses. "I use it for more bloodpoints. The grind is too much. I don't use it for the information". Then I'll watch them play; without fail, after each hook they do a 360, surveying the field and remarking (sometimes even verbally) on the locations of survivors. Hmmm, thought you didn't use it for information?

There is only 1 perk that directly counters this-- Distortion. Which is lackluster at best. 3 tokens (3 hooks out of a possible 9 - yes, the Death Hook counts). To avoid detection. Weak and unworthy of being a "counter". This is also assuming that the killer is not running add-ons or another perk that reveals auras ( E.g. I'm All Ears) which will eat your tokens and leave you vulnerable to BBQ.

I've heard the argument that, it rewards the killer objective of hooking and that survivors have a perk that does the same in that of Dark Sense (reveals the killers aura when a generator is complete). I rebuttal with, how about the bloodpoint increase? Where is the token system that rewards survivors further for doing the objective? If they wanted this similar function they would need to equip We're Gonna Live Forever, which rewards Altruistic actions and NOT Objectives. So not only would survivors need to use 2 perk slots for a similar potency of Barbeque & Chili, but they would also need to split their focus from just doing objectives to also being altruistic for the same value.

Starting to see the issue here?

Now, enough of the rant and onto the proposed changes:

[1] Change the aura reading to ONLY work against survivors who have NOT been hooked.

    • This change enforces the perks purpose of locating survivors and getting your stacks for the extra BP. Once you have hooked someone, they will not be revealed to you by this perk.

[2] Split the perks function into 2 separate perks.

    • Vision for every time you hook (this could be buffed to several extra seconds to compensate for the BP loss), and a perk that gives you tokens for hooking (this could also be increased to compensate.

[3] Buff We're Gonna Live Forever to reveal the killer's aura to all survivors when unhooking in the fashion of a reverse BBQ.

So now to the poll. HEALTHY and RESPECTFUL discussion is encourage. I am curious to know your thoughts on the matter.

This post is laughably absurd. To be fair that doesn't really need to be said, does it? All it takes is a look at the results to see you're wrong, my friend.

So if its so easy to hit there's no reason for it to be even easier to hit. Anyone inexperienced that wants to hit it just needs to get better at hitting it, not having it given to them free of charge.

If it's easy to hit then there's no reason for there to be a skill check in the first place. Especially now that it's purely anti-tunnel. I imagine it'd be an immensely easy change too, unless of course the spaghetti code messes with things. The skill check serves no actual purpose now other then just punishing new players I guess? As you can imagine, punishing new players unnecessarily could hurt the game if it makes new players just drop the game out of frustration. After all, they haven't dumped a ton of time into this game like we have. If the game pisses them off then they'll just uninstall.

  • No, I wouldn't quit. I already lost all my progress when I switched to PC. As long as I still want to play, I will. Even if it means starting over.

It's super annoying to do everything in your power to reveal him, keeping the survivor model in the corner of the screen so you see as much of Ghosty and everything, only for him to still not be revealed. It's tremendously frustrating. I don't really enjoy facing stealth killers to begin with as it just doesn't feel good to be hit when you had zero idea that the killer was near you. I'll leave on this: My boyfriend recently started playing and loses Killer a lot. I asked him how he dealt with the "bullying". He said "I don't mind losing or them T-Bagging, because at least they are having fun. I am sure it is not fun for them when they are all on the hook. Its a give and take".

That's a nice way of looking at things. Issue is, If I know that the survivor team are using strategies or just generally playing in a way to intentionally ruin my fun. Then why would I take pleasure in the idea that these selfish, inconsiderate people are having fun? It'd be like if someone came up to you in the street and spat in your face and then laughed about it to their friends. They've been blatantly disrespectful so why should I care that they enjoyed it?

    • Instead of being a victim for more than 5 or even 10 minutes.
    • Or, why you are even playing this game in the first place.

    M1 killer is surely fun.

Honestly this is why it's kind of hard to go back to playing other Killers after I've played Blight for an extended period of time. He negates survivors just mindlessly holding W. As a survivor you have to be constantly trying to outplay a decent Blight. There's not as much downtime. If you're not a really good Blight then you can still suffer from the issue of survivors splitting up and hammering out the gens though. His power can be difficult to use at some tiles so if you're still learning Blight then at said tiles he's just an M1 killer for that player.

Haunted ground is fine at the moment. Combine it with retribution if you want easy snowball

Easy snowball on which Killer though? For most of the killer cast, they can only snowball if the survivors make multiple repeated mistakes in quick succession. Namely, that they group up and don't spread out after the first insta down. Realistically, the only killer I could actually see consistently being able to get an "easy snowball" thanks to haunted would be Nurse. Nurse is already established as being the best Killer though so that's not saying much.

  • I would absolutely prefer that they take risks. Worst case scenario, the character is reworked because they're just unstoppable.

  • There shouldn't be a grind in the first place. It's an outdated relic from 2016. If I wanted to grind a lot then I'd just play Destiny or something. There shouldn't be levels in my opinion, if you have a character then you should just have their teachables unlocked already, no grind needed. They could just remove perks from the bloodweb and keep it purely for add-ons and offerings. They won't, but I wish they did. I'd love to try weird and wacky builds but I don't have the energy to grind for hours or even days to get the perks I want.

Okay, so you know how when Trickster came out, everyone started doing all of these Doctor with Starstruck and double calm addons and Distressing and what not to make everyone exposed with a big fat terror radius? Well I've never heard of anyone trying to make their terror radius as SMALL as possible, for a sort of jump scare exposed sort of thing. I was thinking of something like Myers with the Vanity Mirror and Dead Rabbit, and the perks would be Starstruck, Mad Grit, Monitor and Abuse, and Play With Your Food. Honestly, I hesitate to run PWYF without Nemesis, but it wouldn't be much of a meme without Mad Grit. The whole idea is to have a really small terror radius while you're picking up a survivor, and then when a super duper hero survivor walks into your pathetically small terror radius to inevitably body block, they get exposed and you start womping at that them with a knife like the deranged psychopath you are. Is it a good and worthwhile strategy? No. Will it get you wins? Also no. Will it be fun? Probably not, But everyone is such a size queen with Star Struck, and I wanna show that it can be cool and or memey to have a small terror radius too! Please, for the memes, help me scare people. I wanna make this build better, more memey, more terrifying. I want Michael to be a star.

I'd love to try this but then I'd have to buy Trickster so I'll have to pass I'm afraid. Nice idea though, lol.

It curses all survivors when the killer M1s any survivor, regardless if you are near the blocked pallet or not.

It honestly makes no sense to me that it's even a Hex perk. It isn't even that strong. It's usually only decent by the end of the match where most of the pallets are gone and the survivors can't afford to run away from the nearest tile. By that point though, this perk is already gone, lol. Then again, this is the same Dev team who nerfed Gearhead of all perks and then never reverted the nerf. Still baffles me to this day that they decided Gearhead needed nerfing.

  • @Ascended4Head said:

I personally think survivor game play is the trashiest and most boring that it ever has been since the start of the game. We have no good perks for the game that change the way we play. The only thing that changes the pace of the game is the killer that we face. If you look at the current perks, they are just a bunch of trash tier aura perks that only last a few seconds and truly do nothing to boost survival. Dead hard is the only true perk that has some fun left in to use, and it doesn't even work 80 percent of the time due to hit boxes and lag.

This last perk is one of the final perks that is constantly being cried about over and over again by the killer-mains which only goal in the game is to 4k for their power fantasy - so they can feel like they actually accomplished something. It's unfortunate that the devs have just completely destroyed survival gameplay over the last 2 years. Playing killer is no longer skill based, you'd have to be brain dead to not reliably 3k every single game. Not based on any type of skill, but just because most of the means of survival for survivors has been gutted and made trash. Also, the amount of aura reading perks that give your exact location to killer, have even been over buffed and are too plentiful. Tracking is no longer a thing in this game. You just hook someone and then look for Auras with BBQ and chili. I know, I know "I only use BBQ and Chili for the double points". Great! Then you should have no problem getting rid of the wall hacks.

The most egregious of everything that has happened to survivor gameplay over the last few years has been the edition of tank like movements. If you give me tank movement, you better give me a freaking gun. The devs nerfed the flow of movement tremendously a few patches ago and then just made it a little bit less terrible, but movement is still absolutely terrible in game.

I just wonder how much more the devs are willing to trash their game for 4k power fantasies. As of now, survivor gameplay is in the trash and any type of change of gameplay is completely reliant on the killer you are playing against.

Are we playing the same game, buddy? I feel like we're not playing the same video game here.

Honestly, it’s not really the All Kill Chapter its basically just mid-chapter QOL changes with the Yun-Jin Paragraph

I really do not like her so unfortunately I have very little to work with. Blight changes are nice though.

I'm a new player and was excited about being able to get a new pack right away until I saw that it blows. A ######### killer, no map, and menu aesthetic and music changes that I find garish, out of character for the game, and obnoxious. So basically, one survivor that seems decent and nothing else. Looking back at the other packs I can't imagine how cool it must have been to get some of them.

The All-Kill pack is the only one I haven't bought, and won't. My advice would be not to give up the game but simply wait a few days to see what the feedback is on each new DLC. Watch a Youtube video or two. You don't have to blindly buy, you can read what others think and see the new stuff for yourself first before making that decision.

Maybe this is naivete from a newbie but I think that the game is easily worth the asking price, as is much of the DLC (particularly when it's on sale. An average of $2.50 for a new character isn't bad at all). I myself wouldn't bail on a game just because of unimpressive DLC, at least not unless I was already prepared to give up on the game anyway.

We need more people like you, my friend. A lot of us oldies are getting too cynical. I imagine it must be a double edged sword getting into the game now though. The game is inarguably in the best state it's ever been but the Devs have made many mistakes as of late and long time players are getting very burnt out as a result. There's also a lot of entitlement in the community, I myself am guilty of this. As much as I'm upset with the game right now, I'd be sadder to see it die. DBD is unique, it would be a real loss for it to die. I myself regret very few of my purchases on this game. I will say though, unless your just a naturally very chill person, the game can be genuinely triggering. If your mental health is deteriorating as a result of the game, a break is recommended. If you're new then for now the game will be the best thing since sliced bread to you but eventually things might be unpleasant. No shame in taking breaks if necessary. Anyway, have a nice day and I hope you continue to enjoy the game!

It's probably a good idea to upload the footage somewhere and include a link in your report. If you still have their profiles, then definitely send their IDs as well.

    Hope this helps :)

    Thanks!

Demo is a strong killer, people just heavily underestimate the big guy. Anti-loop, mobility, mindgame potential, faking shreds, tracking ability and insane 3-gen pressure. In the right hands, they are one of the strongest B-tier killers in the game (probably even the strongest in the B-tier) IMO.

He doesn't really have anti-loop though. He can fake his power sure but other then that? He can't hit through walls or gaps like Huntress, deathslinger and pp head. Demo also doesn't slow down survivors like Clown, or move at incredible speeds to get hits like Blight or Hillbilly. Demo ultimately, still has to just loop normally for the most part (In some situations his Shred really shines but that's very situational). His mobility has to be set up and can be destroyed, same for his tracking ability. He's also very loud when walking around which can actually make it harder to mindgame attentive survivors. He can break pallets with his power I guess but so can: Blight, Hillbilly, Leatherface and Oni. Nothing special really. I will concede the 3 gen thing though, A Demo with save the best for last and a 3 gen can be pretty scary. Unless of course the survivors play smart by splitting up and working on the final 3 gens simultaneously, thereby making it impossible for the Demo to defend. Though that's not really a problem with Demo specifically and is unlikely to happen in the average game anyways. I'd argue that at best, Demo is low B though more accurately high C tier. He doesn't really have anything unique to him and the things he does have aren't as strong as people let on.

So you want to have the ability to slap titles onto people that you don't like because they played in a way that you didn't like? What the ######### ...coming from the guy who has a problem playing with TTVs I can't say I'm surprised but still dude, what? You know how much this would be abused? Because let's be real, nobody's gonna use the positive ones.

To be fair some TTVs can be really nasty. It's not nice to have a bad game, watch the VOD of the stream to try and see the game from another perspective, only to see that the streamer and their viewers were berating you and making fun of you. Most TTVs are nice in my experience but if this person had a ######### experience with one then they're totally entitled to just not bother with TTVs.

We need actual ratings and titles for players. The report doesn’t work but i propose another solution. We can help other players avoid or shame some players with rating the survivors and killers after the match. After a set number of ratings a title is stamped onto their name. All titles don’t have to be negative.

    Hero

    Healer

    Mr. fix it

but after a certain number of ratings bad survivors will get titles warning others of how they play.

    Coward

    Toxic

    Unhelpful

    etc

    same can go for Killers

    Camper

    Tunneler

    Toxic

    and for good killers

    Sportsman

    Villian

    Butcher

    etc.

I also suggest the titles and ratings are wiped clean every rank reset or maybe more. To give bad players a chance to improve and get better titles for themselves.

A nice concept but this would 100% just be abused by salt lords and ladys. Especially since people can often have... generous interpretations of what camping and tunnelling actually is. "Oh you chased me after you'd already hooked someone else, made a cup of tea and filed your taxes? Well you were ooobviously tunnelling me you piece of crap. Enjoy the tunneller label." As others have said, everyone would have a negative label by like week 2 of this idea being put in place. Good concept, wouldn't work I'm afraid.

  • @Seraphor said:

Agreed. I think people are overreacting thinking "DS is useless now" just because they can't use it for invincibility moves anymore. It still has loads of value as an anti-tunnel perk, especially if you jump in a locker mid-chase.

I think the issue is that it's only situationally useful. Why run DS when you can run stronger perks that almost always see use. DS is much like Deliverance now in the sense that, they're both extremely powerful SOMETIMES, whereas in other games they don't do a damn thing. Before DS was almost always great if used correctly, now that it's been nerfed it's just situationally good. It's still great, sometimes. Other times, you'd be better off running literally anything else (Except maybe no mither, lol). That's not inherently bad but it's probably why there's a significant uptick in unpunished tunnelling. I think when people say DS is useless, they're technically both right and wrong. It can be useless at times, which makes it unattractive as a perk choice. There's a reason why people rarely use Deliverance.

For one, Dedicated Servers complicated things for both sides. Ghosty has trouble leaning and stalking, and survivors have trouble revealing.

Second, there's a "reveal zone" that's based on your camera. The problem? Most of the reveal zone is at the center of your screen... where your survivor model/hitbox is. And yes, your survivor hitbox can/will cover Ghosty and prevent you from revealing him.

That seems like such a flawed design, lol. Well thanks for your answer.

This chapter is very nice. The new killer is very fun to play as and against, he is not the best but not the worst. (just people dont know how to play him 😂) the new perks are very strong, killer and survivor.

The new skins are very nice, except Feng Min.

When I tried All Kill on ptb I was like "it doesnt fit dbd" but now I get it and I had a lot of fun since Trickster is here.

But one and only mistake, no new map.... again. But oh wait no new graphic update too ??? Thats the only bad point of this patch.

If you don't think Trickster is the worst killer in the game then who is? I think the art team nailed it on the head as per usual, everything else is very meh in my opinion. Even the blight collision fix didn't exactly deliver. Many things are still slippery and can't be bumped off of even when I'm looking as far down as possible. I appreciate you're likely just a more optimistic person which is definitely nice to have in the community but I'm cynical of the Devs at this point to be honest. The last few chapters have been huge let downs for me and the game is starting to feel tremendously stale. I didn't like the Twins and I don't like the Trickster so what exactly is there for me? Very little I'm afraid. I'm glad you're enjoying the chapter though.

I typically dont but I had this one awful experience. It was a 3 man that was literally queueing up for game to try and sandbag solo Q players. I mean they spam vaulted windows and pallets and #########. They would get on a gen I was working on just to fail skillchecks, every time they got chased they would lead the killer to me, they all swapped to my character and put on the exact same outfit as me. When I got hooked all 3 of them came to just Tbag me. People like those are awful.

You reported them all right? I'm pretty sure that could be classed as them working with the killer if they were actively doing their best to sandbag you.

While it does technically make Blight deeper, the J flick is obviously not intended due to his stiff sterring by default, that and the devs saying so. It also removes his main form of counterplay. People like Blight because he is strong but also has defined counterplay, like old Billy. We don't need people abusing this to lead to a Billy nerf situation. We know how heavy handed and misguided the devs can be with this stuff.

It also requires 3rd party tools to actually pull off properly. For example, I literally would not be able to get my dpi high enough with my current mouse to even do it. That's not a good thing.

FYI, J-flicking does have counterplay. So it basically just replaces his extremely easy counterplay with, harder to pull off counterplay. Thing is, killers should be difficult to counter no? There's kinda no point in arguing about J Flicking as it's been all but confirmed that it's being removed. Just thought I'd say this anyway, the idea that Jflicking has no counterplay is not correct.

  • It will only kill the game for the top players. Most of the playerbase will be fine, hell for the average player things might even be better.

  • No, no you've got a point.

I dont really have any problem with it. I'm just clarifying. It's kinda like noed if you think about it.

Yeah design wise it's very odd. In a sense it punishes killers for doing what they're supposed to be doing. It's not a huge deal as you said, it could be problematic in a strong swf but said strong swfs were probably going to win anyways lol.

  • @Kebek said:

Is Dead hard very strong chase perk that can erase bad survivor plays with click of one buttom ? Yes

Is it frustrating/unfun to play against ? Depends on how M1 dependant your killer is so often it can be.

Is it overpowered ? As 3k hours mostly killer main who faces it regulary I believe no, no it's not.

How do you fix it ? You don't, best way to fix it is to make Coup de Grâce better so killers have meta worthy equivalent of DH.

Give killer more control over using Coup de Grâce and remove the gen conditions for it, insted give it base stacks. That way both sides can have perk that either shortens or prolongs chases based on how it's used by said killer or a survivor.

It's far too hand holdy in my opinion. Made a mistake? Press E. Played greedily at the loop and now you're going down? Not to worry! Press E. The Blight/Nurse player made a genuinely nice play and you're about to go down? Thank goodness for the E key. You're a hero, E key!

It's NOT OP but I still don't think second chance perks are healthy for the game, that goes both ways (I'm looking at you NOED). I think the overabundance of second chances is partially to blame for why the average survivor player just isn't very good. Why learn to play tiles efficiently at base when you can add an exhaustion perk to your build to gain extra distance for very little effort? It's a no brainer, if you're taking the game even semi seriously then you are running an exhaustion perk. I think that's a problem, but its a problem which will never even be acknowledged by the Devs so I dunno why I bother, lol. Anyhow, making a DLC perk be the counter to a perk that is FREE for survivors is not the way to go. I shouldn't have to cough up my hard earned shards or money just to counter a perk that anyone who's playing survivor could have.

  • @Pulsar said:

That is a very big wall of text.

However, I agree. If we aren't going to make any big changes because the PTB playerbase is too small, then why are we using the PTB in the first place?

The Devs could easily expand it to Consoles. I'm pretty sure Sea of Thieves has a PTB, Overwatch does and so does PUBG. That's an easy way to at least double the amount of players participating in the PTB.

For honor also has a console ptb, they call it the testing grounds if I remember correctly. Anyways, yeah if getting the entire community's feedback is so important to them then they should add a console ptb as well. I'm sure console players wouldn't complain. The Devs won't do that though, either due to laziness or equally as likely, the spaghetti code making things difficult to introduce again.

I'll start of by saying that, unlike the others above me, it does get to me, but only when it's done at the exit gates.

It just feels like they're rubbing it in my face that I lost, and although I'm fine with losing when tbagging is involved it just annoys me. Usually it leads me to playing worse and getting more angry, causing a cycle up until I win or just drop the game for the day.

If I had to take a guess, I'd presume it gets to me a lot due to my mental state which, to put it nicely, is not in a great place.

That's understandable. I usually only get upset if I feel they're doing it to spite me as a person, mainly this means t-bagging at the gates like you said. I will say that if you feel that this game, or any other game for that matter, is negatively effecting your mental health then don't play it. Perhaps play a single player game instead. There's plenty of chill single player games to play. I don't know you're personal situation, and I'm not going to be so rude as to ask, but just remember that there'll always be someone who cares about you and wants you to be happy. And if not, then with the invention of the internet, making friends has never been easier. Furthermore, there are countless places you can call or visit to talk about your feelings if you feel alone or scared. I've heard and seen too many cries for help that go unanswered but I hope I'm not being inappropriate with what I've said. Regardless, have a wonderful day!
