I'm glad they acknowledged the gap between solo and SWF, but if they don't address the oppressive perks that killers use then nothing will help average solos, even if they have all the status meters there is. You will still be unable to play an average solo match because the game is balanced for what seems to be really experienced and good SWF, which the survivors that want to have a chance to win play together. Solo and casual will still face unprecedented losses every match. The stats they see should show that. The skill requirements are still too high for the survivor side and status icons do not help that.
Less required from killers.
Killers can usually down too fast.
Maps are too favorable for most killers. We need more fog. Fog offerings still do not work. It is non-existent on the farm maps.
Ruin, Tinkerer, Starstruck, Undying, STBFL, and all Aura Perks, to name a few, need to be looked at and nerfed some.
MMR still doesn't offer 2K outcomes.
Killers win way too much and too easily and status icons won't help enough.
I'm hoping they add a 5th survivor to matches so that the other 4 can stand a chance!

It's not particularly interesting. Its basically a streamer that plays the game as a job going "hey, I'm actually great! Just get on my level easy!" Hyperbole of course, but that's literally the message of the video, the game isn't survivor sided because I do really well in my games with my Insane amount of hours playing the game and intricate knowledge of all the maps/perks/meta that the average player has no time for.
Cool Otz, how nice that you don't work a 9-5 job or go to school and are unable to just play the game 6 hours a day. The games balanced just be Pro, easy.
Didn't expect the cringe/non-discussion replies to start so early.

I'm curious as to what they will give killers to make up for the free information (particularly knowing the exact moment a killer is occupied in chase....every game).

if the killers slugging you on floor because you're the only decent survivor so he can get a 4 kill why should you be forced to sit there doing nothing for 4/5 minutes because the match making has put you with players that either don't attempt to save you or do it right infront of the killer ? it's backwards, i don't understand why the killer is allowed to be toxic and camp/slug/tunnell but if a survivor doesn't want to put up with that we're punished? lol

Well, Raccoon; The Minnesota Legions are still in last place, while The Mississippi Pigs are just one position ahead of them in the standings! At the top of the game is, as always, The Carolina Blights and the Boston Nurses.
We still can't find new players for The Washington Twins to fill out their ranks, so they may be DQ'd for the season! Back to you!
Thanks Ross.
As our viewers can see, the conflict continues.
We've had several reports that Stretch Armstrong may be in the building, but these are, in fact, false.
It seems our viewers simply got confused at all the leaps in logic and whataboutism here that's really stretching said non-issue even further.
Some people blame the game, while others think it is bad design.
Most viewers, according to our DBN network poll seem to place the blame solely on things literally working as they're written on said Perk and Offering.
Of the 67% that voted this way, 80% feel that it's some bizarre sense of entitlement that said item is always theirs, regardless of whether it's in their possession.
Our DBN psychologist is taking notes on the scene as we speak, standing by to be misquoted/strawmanned.

It's ok if you're still learning and I would totally recommend it to those with already a few dozen hours under their belt, but the more you play the more you'll realize it's not necessary. Just pay attention to where you think other survivors have been chased and scout areas while going to the next gen.
You can do all of that, but there's still going to be hidden information.

I hate Noed. My solo queue destroyed a demogorgon all game and then got killed by noed. Demogorgon went the entire game with three perks. We should get all 5 gens Just because he killed us doht mean yell at the kilker and talks about Noed.
Don't cleanse bones you know you have the chance of noed. Whether he had one hook or 6 does not matter. 5 gens done...does not matter because you still ######### died. I swear people are just...Meh these days.
I've been getting a mad, mad amount of salt about NWO being cheap, as of late, too....in a build that doesn't even run NOED.
People are really stuck on the 5 gen mentality despite the fact that end-game specific perks are sprinkled into the game every now and then.

Nice whataboutism.
Killer is supposed to be the power role, but apparently the Killer having power just short-circuits some Survivors.
Probably best to make sure you tunnel when you bring a Mori from now on so that everyone gets the chance to use DS.
Easy solution, problem solved.

ROfl. NoED is like any perk. But sure; it's the only reason you find bad Killers. 🙄
It's not 'rewarding losing' or 'bad play'. It's a perk, which triggers after 5 gens pop, end of story. Suck it up and do bones.
If you die to NoED, it's not because it's OP, it's because you genrushed, or the Killer kept you from doing bones.
Another reason they could be facing bad killers at their mmr is that they are at the appropriate mmr.
Who knows? Who cares?
It's just amusing that people complain about consistently facing bad players at their own MMR <_<

Franklin's is NOT affecting the aftermath of the match.
The game is set up so you lose your item if you don't carry it out. Not even White Ward counters that. So OP is whining that White Ward does not do...what it does not say it does?
Nowhere does White Ward say you keep your item if you don't carry it out.
Perhaps OP has become one with the ground.

I have 4.500 hours as surv in this game. When I play against killers that only get 2 or 3 hooks during the match I know he is using noed. Noed is the reason why trash killers with 100 hours play against me. So yes, noed is not a balanced perk and should be changed or removed

Except we weren't.
We were fairly even and without NOED proc'ing, we likely would've had at least a 2 man escape, if not 3.
There was no time to cleanse totems, that's what I'm getting at. NOED's counterplay is unreasonable for the boost it gives to Killers.
Re-reading your example, I assumed you would be killed quickly either way, as you were out of position, but didn't really take map state or anything into account.
There's a lot of missing information for me to comment any further - I appreciate the pewvious clarification and reply, though.

It'll probably help shed some light on your NOED opinions.

Literally every single perk you have blocks generators.
You're not making a good case here.

Honestly, the more I read it, the more I regret trying to use an example that hasn't happened to me.
A more recent example would be this: A good Blight who was running Ruin, Undying and PGTW was absolutely hammering me and my friend. He had 7 hooks by the time the gens were done and 1 Kill. I was death hook, but everyone was healthy. He catches me and my friend out of position near the gate and I get downed. My friend begins running to the other gate as I get hooked. Blight catches up and manages to interrupt the gate opening by downing the girl on the gate. He gets a 4K.
That's where I usually see NOED come into play. On good Killers in close games.
I'll admit, it can be hard to know when to use a general example vs an anecdotal example, but either way, you're (the general 'you') probably not pleasing everyone with whatever example/explanation you post on the forums.

What is wrong with getting moried on your dead hook?
I mean, you're already dead so what's so bad about getting moried?
It can even hurt the killer if he's running pop 😉
It disables the ability to DS or Flashlight save which, as annoying as they are for some, are key components to the end game rush/comeback/whatever.
I'd imagine the Mori overhaul, if it involves a basekit addition, will involved getting X number of hooks or hooking everyone once before it activates.

@Pulsar said:

So I'm a Survivor main because I think NOED is unhealthy?
Oh, the MMR aside was meant to demonstrate how it is not fair to the Killer. Since he was obviously outclassed during the trial (ie, less than 5 hooks or 2 kills I would say is being outclassed) then it is certainly not fair to put them up against even more difficult opponents.
Likewise, how well, in your opinion, does NOED work against SWF? In my experience, it doesn't...at all. Because they can and will cleanse those totems. However, Solo players do NOT have that kind of time or coordination. NOED will almost never take out serious SWF players, but it almost always unfairly hits Solo Q players who, let's be real, have it rough already.
I am in favor of changing NOED because of that. I feel it is completely invalidated by having comms, but that it is simultaneously far too strong against Solo Q players. Also, please note how I said change, not nerf.
I'd just like to interject and say that a lot of people don't care about MMR/results at all.
It's entirely possible that no hook Joe is having the time of his life or just relaxing/having a good time running around and getting bopped.
It's anecdotal, but I usually stream for some pals and chat while playing - I can get 0 hooks or 12 hooks and it's the same deal to me.
-
@AngyKiller said:

I think you meant to say 'That does not seem fair to me', because you are not everyone.
And yes, it's fair, because Survivors can do this amazing thing called 'Cleansing totems'. WOW! Such bones! Much cleansing!
It's simple: the Killer brought a perk that only works in the end game. If Survivors are bad enough to not cleanse it before it procs, or after it procs, or to JUST LEAVE; the Killer earned his kills. Amazing how that works!
You claiming 'Blah, blah. Not fair' does not change that yes; it is fair. The Killer used a perk. A perk that can be removed before it triggers. A perk that only works in the end game. And he used it to GOOD EFFECT and got those 2 kills. Since he GOT the two kills, and he did not cheat or exploit glitches; he EARNED the 2 kills.
It's that simple.
I'd wonder how he got two hooks w/ NOED and managed to camp them both to death at the same time while playing so poorly all game, tbh.
-
@AngyKiller said:
NoED is just a Killer planning for the end game.
Remember: The Killer has not 'lost' just because all 5 gens pop. So NoED is not 'rewarding losing', because the Killer has not lost until the match ends.
Survivors are not safe until they leave the trial.
Survivors have not won until they are out of the trial.
Until the last Survivor leave the trial; the Killer can still kill them. Ergo: NoED is not 'rewarding losing' like I've had some idiots in-game scream at me.
Anyone that thinks the game is over at 5 gens in the current meta is simply not adapting.
NOED aside, NWO and BW are both making huge plays in my games on both sides.

VHS and Propnight are ok, but I wouldn't call them contenders.
TCM probably won't dethrone it, but will appeal to people looking for a gory experience.
