Me sad after Spirit bash.
Also hello! Glad to be back :)
Welcome back :3
I....have some sad news....
My friend was watching me stream today while I faced a Spirit...
She literally said, "It's that killer no one plays anymore."
She has no idea about the inner workings of the games, Spirit nerfs, etc, but it was certainly telling to hear it.
-end sad news-

*continues cleansing totem for tome challenge*

Skill Check Doc is honestly pretty weak....but not as weak as that team, apparently.
If I ran their build and lost against your build at sub 15k, I'd be pretty salty, too....but I'd be salty with myself.
-
I usually have a pretty good time on either side just trying to bang out dailies and tome challenges.
I generally don't care how my matches go and perform pretty well on a consistent basis.

you know that toxic bully squads usually use unbreakable to each time one of them will recover and help the others and going afk you won't know it
You can still see what's happening in DBD while watching YouTube and/or doing something else.
This is possible even if you only have one monitor and use full screen (put your mouse over the DBD icon and you'll see a small window of the live game if you're alt-tabbed....it's pretty useful for checking lobby status w/o having to tab back in).

Doesn't bother me, literally hit them and carry on with the game, it's funny to see how tilted people are getting in here when it literally gets them injuries on survivors.
I'd imagine that some killer players, particularly new/weaker players, view it as deviating from intended gameplay in order to 'take their fun' out of the match/grief.....Similar to how some survivor players view being camped/tunneled/slugged/not getting 3 hooked as a deviation from intended/fun gameplay.
Of course, expecting anything to go a certain way in this game is silly, but a lot of people do queue up with such notions in mind.
In the interest of honest discussion, I will admit that, personally, squads like this are rare to come across and shouldn't be seen as a priority issue (my opinion, of course). If we're being super honest, most teams, even VERY good teams (compared to me, I mean....I'm not super but I can only speak to my own experience) lack the co-ordination and/or skill combo needed to make me feel like I 'need' to slug.
Your attitude, though, especially if carried to other aspects of the game, is both simple and ideal - props.

Yeah but at max level you see auras for 7 seconds. That allows you to track the unhooker and see where everyone else is (you do not see the unhooked survivor.) Personally this perk sounds great in my opinion.
Huntress staple on release.

STOP, slug time! They'll tell you you'll be banned for it but, turns out, that's not the case.
Those are weak people trying to exert some sort of virtual authority over you.
If I face a sabo or troll squad, I'll slug them all and watch a quick YouTube video.
Sometimes, if they're particularly egregious, I'll slug them all and then drop one so they can get their friends up. At that point, it's back to YouTube or to wander around the map aimlessly - If they ask why in end game chat.... "Game was too easy/boring, so I went to do something else. Didn't want you guys to lose out on points, as it seems you're new at this skill level, so I stuck around. Good luck next game, though!".....Absolutely melts their minds, almost every time....I wish I was joking ;3

Whenever I load into RCPD, people just yeet on hook/dc - It's universally loathed.

Just 1, when I play survivor. If I got morid somehow before getting hooked, something is wrong (besides rancor)
Devour Hope also lets you mori someone that may not have been hooked yet (but yeah, that is a funky game)
-
I had the same Ash running a trolly Power Struggle build in a few games....also on PC.....I guess I was guilty by association :(
"Properly" - Strong word.

Probably a good time to remind people taking Sluzzy seriously to review their post history.
-
Another killer deleted from my survivor games.

Hard pass from me unless other CoH changes are made.
Making it easier to set up the 'vacation station' when you need it the most/when it can be more effective (injured and/or grouped), seems like it will compound the current CoH issues further.

*wins game*
Hey, why did you...
But, you did....
*chuckles*
Me: gg all
Usually how that goes. Your opinions and concerns about my gameplay realllllly mean a lot to me.

Tbh I think it should stun for 6 seconds, give a small speed boost and hide blood marks and scratches for 10 seconds.
Still too weak.
Could use a few more effects from other perks added in.
-
You can make this perk last the entire map just by tapping the button instead of holding it.

I think by now its just so ingrained into dbd culture that NOED is a sign of a bad killer and a noob perk and whatever, that no one gives this perception a second thought.
Just 19h ago I had a game with Nemesis where I forgot that I had NOED equipped, and after a fun game on The Game (Nemesis is really fun there ... compared to nearly every other killer. I wonder why?) I got this fun little message on my profile :D NOED did basically nothing, I got 3K the normal way and then downed the last survivor during the EGC after closing the hatch, without any progress to the exit doors done. So NOED just speed the ending up a tiny little bit.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/5A4Y3DZBVUIM/noed.jpg
But some salt is always welcome :)
I've run NOED by itself in the past, 4k'ed 'fairly' before endgame, and still had people trying to justify my 'badness.'
These people are a minority....just a vocal minority - It's easy to recall these interactions because conversations and comments like that just stand out more than all the 'happy gg/silent players.'
I think it's a bit important, and this could just be me, to not paint all survivor players as NOED haters/toxic/etc....Otherwise it's the same as stating NOED is used strictly by bad killer players - It's a blanket statement with zero merit.
-
*reads previous reply*
I often wonder if people realize their post histories are public info.
-
I find it amusing that there are so many NOED complaints, yet when polls or threads are made, most survivor and killer replies indicate that it has minimal impact.
Compare this to the other 'usual suspects' such as Dead Hard and COH and you'll see a huge difference, as killers and survivors alike seem to agree (majority of posts) that they are problems.
I don't run NOED a lot, but I think it's pretty meh from both Killer and Solo perspectives (I rarely swf)
-
Gonna chainsaw the first person I see and let them wiggle out....If they let me chainsaw them again....LET THE FARMING COMMENCE.
Run away? Guess I'll camp them until they die and/or get chainsaw hits off trades.
It won't be 'super-easy', but it will be fun and stress-free....for me.
Full Disclosure - I do most challenges like this in 1-2 games, usually in the most 'lamest' ways possible.

The last changes were a death blow and were clearly not minor. Let's summarize. Less snares, slowdown on placing snares, less dream pallets (why?), buffed clocks, and all good add-ons replaced with bad add-ons. He was in a good spot, was laughably placed in S tier, and probably needed some qol changes, but instead he got nerfed because survivors couldn't even handle an M1 killer. They still call him OP, so what was the point in the nerf?
They could have just removed the slowdown add-ons.
5 second fix without burying the glove :(
-
@Crowman said:
The snare slowdown is unnecessary. The power doesn't deal damage nor does it actually affect the survivor immediately when placed so also losing distance while trying to set up a snare doesn't really accomplish anything balance wise.
On top of that, Freddy has no good addons and Dream World/Clocks aren't really good slowdown so he's just a M1 killer who can deal with loops slightly better than a normal M1 killer in a meta where survivors don't loop.
The Dream World is laughably underutilized - I'd prefer they remove it :-/
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
me, using pallets every game because snares are a lot clunkier, a lot more effort, and all for a lot less fun
My Freddy gameplay is mostly meme/pallet-eater.
I can do good with him using various builds, but yeah, it's clunkier than a Lego playset.

@Cybil said:
It comes up occasionally, but it's not like every killer uses it. I used to look everywhere I could for the totems and if I couldn't find it I would try and trade if I had bt. Unfortunately the new mmr system punishes me for making trades during end game so there's nothing I can do for them anymore. If I go for the trade I'll be punished with worse teammates and the person I saved is rewarded for making a "skilled play."
I honestly bail on people all the time...some of my reasons are very petty, haha.
There are times when you should bail, though, as you're just feeding if you don't - knowing when to do this IS a skilled play.
If I'm by the gate and NOED activates a bit away from me, I'll 99 and try to find the totem in the immediate area...no totem, I'm dipping.
-
lmao nopers :(

Good news!
There aren't any measures to prevent killers from camping/tunneling!

Noed is the second or third most used killer perk, can’t remember
It's definitely up there.
-
It's pretty interesting that the rate people claim to see NOED varies from 7-40 percent.
-
I play primarily solo.
It's pretty chill/easy/stress free for me, personally.
I play super greedy, though, admittedly.
-
Wonder if anyone in this topic used stretched res...
Makes you think!
-
Weak Perk - Will not see much play in the current meta
-
I'm always surprised that so many infantile and toxic players seem to congregate in DBD.
-
I'd like to see hook states remove a condemnation slot....
IE - If you've been hooked 1x, you only need 6 stacks....2x, you only need 5.
-
Their reporting system is a straight up embarrassment, but it's entirely self-inflicted.
I doubt anyone would argue that given the current hackfest.

But if they are not bad (like I thought) what's the reason they are so rare?
Hope this helps!
-
Haven't had the NA group that's been on the go for a few months and fills your game with Pyramid Head trails until your GPU crashes?
#blessed.
-
What's the issue in the clip?
You got two downs while the people that you didn't down/chase weren't AFK and did a gen?
I'd imagine most people, new players included, would recognize this as an excellent start.
There's nothing crazy or oppressive happening in this clip - Is this some sort of flex about getting two downs quick or something?
-
*gets tunneled out of game within two minutes*

Is already the case against SWF. In return for helping solo q, they can buff Killers.
What kind of buffs do you think this would facilitate?

I genuinely don't understand why people don't check feedback more, since everyone already knows it has interesting conversations in it. Really weird, right?
Most of the time an ambiguous topic (in terms of feedback/general) like this starts to pop off and is moved, seemingly to kill it, while other/similar topics with little attention remain in General.
-
Wondered why this went from an interesting fast paced convo to a slow paced crawl (looking at post times).
Banished to Feedback :(
-
Anyone have any ideas on the buffs killers can get to offset the unlimited flow of information without breaking the game?
Should said buffs be universal?
Tailored to each individual killer (will never happen, though)?
What about the idea someone mentioned regarding killer seeing these icons, too?
-
Sorry if it is unclear.
Pig can be uncrouched and chasing someone on the other side of the map.
I have no idea of her physical location, can't hear her TR, etc but know I am perfectly safe to complete gens.
----------------------------------------
Also, if someone misses a skillcheck while their teammate is in chase, they can see if the killer is opting to drop chase and investigate.

Threads like this are so brave and original. Never seen anything like this before.
The irony is certainly palpable.

Dead Hard isn't strong because it rewards bad play.
A bad player with Dead Hard is still a bad player.
Dead Hard is strong because good players can use it in various ways (get to a pallet or window/DH over a trap/force a BT hit/eat a hit for a friend/eat a power/etc).
Some of those are crazy skillful actions (ie tanking a hatchet for your pal on death hook or dodging in a way that doesn't validate but allows for the swing to proc your pal's BT).
It provides a lot of options for a single perk, which, until validation is tweaked, have grown exponentially.
-
I wish I had a direct line to Capcom so I could show them what people thought of this map :-/
