Yeah, that's not true.
The Bubba who chased you for 5 gens and downed + facecamped you with NOED is totally your fault. He just outskilled you.
Facecamping is a plague on this game. It shouldn't be in the game. Unfortunately, there is no way to remove it that doesn't also punish innocent players.
If I'm chased that long in Solo Q against a 1 Shot or someone I suspect has NOED, I'm going to try my hardest to throw the killer at someone else.
It's a decision that sometimes has to be made to survive, particularly in Solo Q, that some people don't even know is on the board.

You don't lose Grade after a bad performance, but you still have to do decent to gain Grade at higher Grades.
Getting there as a new player with IRL responsibilities/limited time is a great accomplishment!
Congrats!

It was a 4 men swf bully squad that were trying to their damn best to make sure I had a miserable time. Then when they found out I had lightborn they cry about it.
Last 'bully squad' I had (same name/same skin...except the console solo) went like this:
-played normally...lots of wiggle offs due to Breakout and Boil Over
-killed swf1 with 1 gen left
-downed and dropped swf2 (couldn't make it to hook anyway) to chase and kill swf3
-downed solo player
-waited for swf2 to bleed out and gave solo hatch
In the endgame chat, they went absolutely wild about how I wasted all their time and gave "the console the hatch."
I explained that, given the playstyle they chose to use, I could not hook swf2 and opted not to give them a free win.
They then tried to say that I held them hostage by bleeding out swf2 and they were forced to wait.
I explained that grouping, and by extension waiting on said group, is a conscious decision that they made, just like it was one for me to slug and give the random the hatch.
They then said some other stuff, but I explained that, actually understanding the game rules and mechanics makes it hard to have a discussion with groups that just want to bully and dogpile in the endgame chat.
*insert torrent of abuse and racism*
I told them I'd stick around as long as they wanted so the next person they would play would be spared their infantile tirades and mentioned that I'm getting a 3:1 return on wasting their time.
*chat disconnected*

If someone is complaining about whatever you did in the end game, you probably did the right things/made the right decisions.

Wasn´t it because a totum can´t be cleansed?
P.S. two Badham offerings in 1 match.
If that happened to me as killer, the survivors would not have a good game.
As survivor, I'd probably remove myself from the match ASAP.
Obviously it's a personal choice, but I tend to not entertain people taking advantage of the situation.

1) Yes I believe so
2) Healing a slugged survivor counts as healing in basically every other perk and such so probably does yeah
If both are 'yes,' it's certainly a game changer in my eyes.
Appreciate the info!

Would you rather be looped to oblivion or have to go half way across the map. Ether way this is a game about running from a killer. Not trying to sound disrespectful by any means, but their is always an exuse that people come up with that is "bad for the game"
When people complain about what you're doing in this game....that usually means you're making the right call/playing 'good.'
It's best to ignore whatever they say and play how you want to....

Don't.
First was Bill, who is the exception.
Then came Ash with release Mettle of man, which was a free health state with no major downsides. This was quickly nerfed, however them few weeks with MoM being in it's prime were pain since I was a Legion player back then.
Now it's Mikaela with the parasite that is Circle of healing. I don't have hours to spend writing how much I actually despise this perk.
I know there's literally no reason to buy survivors other than their perks, and I know since it's happened twice now that perks are pushed out over tuned in order for a reason to buy them on their own.
Can we just not thanks.

Don't really care why or how. I never said I moried her as I actually couldn't find her. The KI from it only last (what felt like) 3 seconds and 2 of the seconds was me climbing from the tv. From my experience last night majority of tv's are near gens....If they don't want me to teleport on top of them or build up condemned they turn it off. That is fine to me...they spent the time to do that but no offense to anyone a killer you can teleport around the map at will is not weak regardless of how bad everyone seems to want to do the condemned mori.
It can delete someone instantly from the game so it should be hard to get. She is right there on the cusp of if they change this to much she is OP if they only do it this way she too weak. Honestly reminds me of the trickster situation.
Edit: Also even if Yui did it on purpose to bait me...when I teleported I only seen Yun-Jin who was injured and on death hook (which could be why she did it if she did) so technically I took the best option anyhow even though Yui was moriable but healthy.
It should have a 'reasonable' chance to trigger during the full duration of the match as opposed to a nearly non-existent one.
My opinion, of course.

I got a Yui condemned in my first game with her and I barely knew what I was doing. Wasn't until about 1 gen remaining did I hit my stride (Just in time btw). I find her not only pretty damn decent but fun at the same time. I mean it's too early for that to matter as I also loved Artist when she first came out and now I find her boring asf.
I agree that she is fun!
As for the Yui...unless you were running a particular set of add-ons, they probably engaged in 0 counter-play.
-
Would having the mini-mori available on death hook at either
A) Any Condemned progress
OR
B) 50% Condemned progress
help this mechanic out?
...basically thinking along the lines of P.Head.
This would function as way to force more tape interaction throughout the course of the match....especially late game.

-
Gee, I wonder why I never see Billy/DS/Spirit any more 🤔
-
The best advice I can give you is to ignore/disregard whatever is said/typed.
People trying to tell you how to play are usually the most entitled/toxic people around - the time you waste typing a reply to them is infinitely more important than whatever they have going on in their heads/lives.
I play both sides (solo) and I'm well aware of the peanut gallery....except in DBD's case, it's more of a hollow peanut shell/echo chamber.
I'm genuinely saddened that this is your first forum post, but rest assured, you can play how you want in 99% of scenarios...these people are trying to exert some sort of digital control on your game/bash you for playing...and this is INFINITELY MORE PATHETIC than anything you can possibly do in the game.
You've seen one of the worst/trashiest aspects of the community, but they are the vocal minority, and you can safely disregard whatever they say as nonsense/irrelevant.
-
Interestingly, my last comment in a previous thread postulated on people complaining about Sadako's passive phasing/Mani mindgames, likening them to the previous Spirit 'issues.'
Didn't take long.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
It's still undertuned. If she's going to have little to no chase utility, then the Condemned mechanic needs to be a bit more impactful. It's something you can completely ignore for 90% of the match. Occasionally use a tape.
And she has no chase at all. Just camp a pallet.
I'd imagine that her loop/structure manifestation mindgame (which was recently buffed) will eventually be gutted akin to Spirit due to 'lack of info.'

@tesla said:
Yeah, it's so stupid that you can hit a skill check while off the gen...
While I agree, people have recently been advocating that REGULAR gen skill checks should function as Overcharge currently does because they feel it is unfair to have coincidentally triggered a skill check the moment they are letting go of the gen.
As for Overcharge...it absolutely should force the person to finish the check on the gen. Seems a lot more balanced than Meg Sprint Bursting across the map while still hitting the skill check. It would be a nice QoL change.

@Sepex said:
Haven't played against her yet, so no idea what any of this means.
This may come off as rude, but it is sincere:
It doesn't matter in 99% of the matches you'll play against her @_@
-
Boons are, overall, boring and weak.
I'd imagine that the main reason CoH isn't nuked is that it's literally the only boon worth running...and that's only because of its extreme value/power compared to the rest.
Completely gutting it would, in effect, remove the boon mechanic from the game because the rest are so weak.
-
@Phasmamain said:
It’s not meant to be an insanely impactful mechanic imo. More so a passive slowdown/ homage to the films

Crazy optional or crazy lack of impact on the game?

It literally IS Sadako. It's her body that Reiko and Ryuji dredged from the well in the first movie. The green colour palette and everything.
If you're gonna make bold claims like "this isn't X character", at least get it right.
Most of the people that complain about stuff like this are ignorant regarding the lore/license holders/etc that lead to X costume.

Buffs aren't bad - The Manifestation time change is huge, as is the tape effectively removing 2 stacks instead of 3.
There are a few topics bashing these changes/stealth/whatever, but it's very clear that they're either being disingenuous or just aren't thinking of/making the right plays.

There are most likely hidden metrics/stats that show spending more time in-game correlates to purchasing more DLC/Cosmetics.
This hidden/private information is probably the real reason things are left as is.
-
Isn't her lullaby non-directional and compliments her Undetectable upon Manifesting (at various loops AND structures) being praised as a fun/useful/unique way to use a stealth mechanic on the PTB from both gameplay sides?
I saw that they buffed the Manifestation time, so was something else nerfed that I'm missing that makes these 'easier' hits harder to land?

This seriously would make BL on good state. But they already reworked most maps, i doubt they will touch them again.
Their pattern of doing X (ie rebalancing a map or killer or w/e) and moving on indefinitely unless something breaks the game really slows down meaningful updates and changes, especially if it's related to something they've put effort into (ie Dead Hard validation issues).

@Aven_Fallen said:
Nah, Killers dont want Perk Variety for Survivors.
"Every Survivor runs DH!!"... Guess what when one of the good Exhaustion Perks got nerfed into basically useless...
Balanced Landing should be buffed (aka reverted), IF they manage to rework the Maps (mainly Haddonfield) into something which is not problematic when someone uses Balanced Landing. E.g. if there is a Drop next to every Vault, there is no problem with Balanced Landing.
The bad Map Design was the reason why Balanced Landing got nerfed in the first place, because it was easier to destroy the Perk than actually fixing Maps. And it did not change anything, aside from removing a good Perk on the Survivor-Side, Haddonfield was still a nightmare to play as Killer.
Only post so far with US vs Them rhetoric....color me surprised.
To the OP - I think it's in an OK spot at the moment....
Best case you fall from a high structure like Coal Tower/Game Hole/DDS (lots of use)/etc and get a guaranteed escape event + LOS block...
Weaker applications like falling off a hill can also function like a SB that does not need to be managed.
The original issue with the perk was with its unlimited stagger reduction regardless of exhaustion status - this was easier to remove than changing the entire height/fall mechanic for survivors and/or rebalancing every map with fall zones.
It's pretty obvious how and why it was changed from both perspectives.
It most likely won't get 100% stagger back as it does its current job well enough at 75% when used properly - it's not a weak perk.

useless argument.
I mean, if that’s the end game, that’s ok.
but mid or start game, it’s useless and free gens for survivor .
Heh?
So you're comparing the desire to do something that the devs said you can do in their video game without consequence to committing an actual illegal act?
Useless comparison.

Thanks <3
I mained pre-rework Freddy and miss him, too :(
It was really hard (in a fun way) at higher ranks when people would run in front of your sleep beam to take aggro, body block while they weren't asleep (causing strikes to go through them), win/lose the sleep timer 'mind games', and probably other nuances I've forgotten.
He was basic/easy enough to play with a powerful slow down that came with a huge drawback (basically losing ~10% of a solo gen any time you wanted to engage with someone), but required BOTH the Killer and Survivor to know how to play around these unique strengths and weaknesses -
The only real issue I could see with old Freddy was AFK Freddy....but with MMR that wouldn't matter, either.

Mettle of Man was 100% a cash grab...
There is no way....no possible way....that the design team thought it was a healthy perk.

I think its largely knee jerk response to people disagreeing with them, folks want an echo chamber not a discussion or debate.
You often find the people screaming that the forum killer or survivor biased are also people making just really outlandish or silly claims and when someone says hey that's just kinda silly their first response is well of course this is forum is biased for X, rather then hmm maybe I am being silly.
Some people are just incapable of presenting their thoughts in a non-biased, non-confrontational manner that promotes discussion from all angles.
It's very obvious who these people are whenever such posts appear.

Everytime I see this claim it makes me laugh. It's true though, if by killer you mean "person who doesn't immediately agree with any survivor buff/killer nerf you put forward" then yeah, it's a killers forum. Of course if you wanted to use logic, the data we actually have on forum members gaming habits and the like, it's primarily a forum for people who play both killer and survivor, because only a few people are paying up to 120 bucks for a game to only play half of it.
Probably should have checked their posting history before wasting your keystrokes.

Nothing can be done to tunneling itself without completely redesigning the game OR removing player choice/agency...neither of which are going to be on the table.
