Legion has a counter, its called spreading and genrushing.
Sure its not fun, but its actually pretty easy to executeThat's not a counter, "genrushing" isn't a thing. "Genrushing" is just survivors doing the objective if the killer can't keep pressure on the survivors. Also with them buffing legion means you need to heal but since you can't be near teammates, you need to run self-care which means there is less choice for perks.
SC was buffed btw
It wasn't a buff, it was a change. If killers are using sloppy butcher and you are using SC, you can just give up at that point.
That's why I use BK
So that would mean I should use both SC and BK and limit my choice of perks some more? I don't see the point in limiting player choice. Do you really have 4 perk slots when 2 of those always have to be SC and BK?
Survivors are not tired of pointing at all the killer perks the killre can use to counter stuff. For example you can "counter" DS easily by using unnerving presence and Enduring
Idk what you are trying to say in your first sentence. Using 2 perks to counter 1 isn't really good for the killers side either, but thankfully you can dribble or just slug the obsession if you don't want to deal with ds at that moment in the game.
YOu can only dribble if you are near a hook and even if you are within range, the DS user can simply tell his mate that you are dribbling and thanks to the absurdly long drop/pickup animation can bodyblock the hook easily, triggering DS.
Slugging has been nerfed significantly, the survivor can heal themselves even up to 95% now which makes the pickup time from the ground THREE TIMES FASTER than it used to. Also slugging (even with knock out) doesnt work against SWF
Tbh I haven't been bodyblocked many times when I've gone against ds users. If you see them come under the hook to take a hit I'll just drop the ds user when I am next to the hook and their friend runs away and then I just move slightly forward (enough to be under the hook) and hook them.
If I can't pick the ds user under the hook I just go after their friend. They still need to heal the ds user to pick them up from dying state which still wastes some time. -
I don't really care about ds users that much. If I see someone has the obsession I usually try not to target them and if I down them I try to always dribble or just slug them. If I am using enduring or unnerving presence I'll just pick them up since they either might miss the skill check or I'll get a 1 second stun. I would be fine with getting rid of NOED for ds though since I don't use either. It is usually the bad players who know they need second chances and pick those perks.

We do.I am assuming The Legion change you are referring to is this one:
The Deep Wound timer now starts at 20 seconds (instead of 30 seconds) when an injured survivor is hit by Feral Frenzy. The timer for Feral Frenzy hits on healthy survivors remains at 30 seconds. This change is currently being tested on the PTB and is originally and idea coming from the Community.
If you don't like the change, you can just give your feedback here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/-2-5-0-ptb
People tend to cry about things "THEY DON'T LIKE" without being objective.
The Legion is a force now. The changes are fantastic. That is my opinion, and while I do play more killer than survivor... I understand that surviving should be tough and intense. That is the point.
Surviving is supposed to be tough, but not impossible. Even the nurse, the best killer in the game, has counters. Problem is Legion doesn't have any which makes playing against them extremely unfun.
I do see what you're saying. I really do.
I hope you've not been watching truetalent and just going on about what he's been going on about.
The Deep Wound adjustment is brilliant. THe ability to keep your power gauge is you cancel is also great.
Maybe if a frenzy attack is missed AFTER a hit then it ends it? I don't know. I'm okay with a minor drawback, but nothing crazy.
Even if ANY missed frenzy attack and it cancels? I don't know. That might be too much?
For the record, I don't watch tru3. I don't know his opinion on the killer. I don't know what will help make the killer fun or even bearable but there is no way they can keep legion the way they are right now.

This isn't Activision Blizzard; sometimes, not everything on the test realm gets automatically pushed to live against any and all feedback.Well as I recall, Legion has been getting a lot of negative feedback on how unfun he/she is to play against and still he/she remains in the game mostly unchanged. I know the developers are not miracle creators but still annoying that they released a killer that was simply put; not ready yet.
-
@Peanits I do hope the community has changed your mind then and even if it did, Legion needs to change. Idk how but currently it isn't good.

Well you can choose whatever you want. I just wanted to notice that BK is a great counter for sloppy. Very underrated perk.
I thikn we are getting sidetracked... My point is that to counter one killer you need to essentially be running 2 perks which is not ideal for any game.

I wouldn't mind noed but I can never be sure if all the totems are cleansed unless i cleanse all of them. There is no guarantee that even if I cleanse 4 totems that any of the other survivors cleansed the 5th. Even if someone else has cleansed a totem, you can't know unless you find the cleansed totem as well. If there was a way to know that all totems are cleansed then noed wouldn't be a problem.

I don't think the killers need to be buffed this way, the end game isn't really a high priority problem at the moment (excluding the hatch of course).
-
It isn't actually 8% faster. The speed is counted from the 75% speed(0.75x1.33=0.9975) which makes healing yourself just a bit slower than being healed by an ally.
Also this perk will become meta if the Legion changes go through because it is needed to counter him and this will give false information on the power of the perk against other killers to the devs.
-
@Dwight_Confusion said:
I do agree. It would be a small buff to him. His traps should be like a "friend" and not something he's able to get stuck in.This would help his character a small amount. He's lower tier in the killer list, but still a fun and good killer. His traps also should have a wider ranger to catch survivors. Just make the trapbox like 25% bigger so survivors can't just go past them.
If they make the hitbox bigger just make the trap bigger so survivors can see where they can step.
-
This would only help dumb people and be a slight nerf to dead hard. Wouldn't make that much of a difference. If a survivor can get past a trap without getting trapped it's your own fault you placed it badly.
-
@fluffybunny said:
I tested it out and it doesn't seem to make that much of a difference. It's just a quality of life thing so everything is smooth more than likely. You can't really call it QoL, just a slight buff if anything else. I don't think it will affect most m1 killers too badly though...
-

) -
This thread can now be closed I assume?
-
I just do it cause it gives me something to aim for until I have all character p3-50 (and all perks at least for all the killers).
-
Literally the only perk that is worse the higher tier it is.
-
Does this mean that healing speed on others when the killer is using sloppy butcher is 50%?
-

I actually re watched the vod and he said he refused to chase us out to deny us points keep us from piping, when we were staying to give him points...Is this why killers refuse to chase out survivors? i thought it was a pride thing, not a malice thing.
I usually don't bother with survivors who wait at the gates. I afk until they leave. It's pretty obvious that they want to tbag if they aren't leaving.
-
When you tell that you're not going to read replies, you are admitting you know your idea is terrible and hope for other like minded people to come here and defend your opinion.
-
I hate that ruin is a hex because often my teammates just start looking for the totem instead of doing any gens which will slow down the game even more than it would otherwise.
-
This would definitely be better than the current hatch mechanic. This would remove hatch standoffs entirely which is almost all the hatch needs.
-
You just got unlucky, if you have many teachable perks then the chances for you to get a specific perk to tier 3 by level 50 isn't very likely.
-
A decent huntress doesn't need iron maiden. You should be able to down a survivor with 5 hatchets. If you run out of hatchets and need to reload it's your own fault for not hitting those hatchets.
"Genrushing" also isn't a huntress problem, it's a problem with the whole game so giving huntress a 50% faster reload speed would only be a band-aid fix for huntress which is not what the developers want. -
If it's meaningful body blocking you won't get banned. Thing like waiting out BT at basement stairs, trapping someone in a corner to chainsaw, waiting for RBT to kill the survivor, etc.
-
They should just completely remove the hex notification even when at 5 tokens.
-

And how u get the information how many survivors are around the done gen if they stay in the bubble area? Exactly, 0 information
You can see auras through the bubbles so yes you would get the information

Beautiful. When they follow me to the hook, yes, I blame them.
Well yeah, I doubt anyone will argue with you there.
But when you have killers like thisYou cannot.
Cannot defend our condone this gameplay.Sure I can. If the killer really wants to throw that bad then the survivors should take advantage and do generators. You can do at least 3 generators even 4 if the team is fast enough, and assuming the killer chased you for enough time to complete 1 generator the other 3 survivor are pretty much safe to escape (unless the killer has something like NOED but even then there is no guarantee they will catch anyone else)
-
No video.
Also could just be the connection. -
This wouldn't work, it will only punish killers. This won't help combat camping either since players who want to camp will start using insidious.
-
The Legion isn't fun to play against. There is no counter play involved. If you get in a chase with Legion, you have no chance of breaking the chase or holding the chase for as long as possible. You can't loop legion and you can't outrun him so there is nothing you can do except wait for the deep wound to hit 0.

It would be neat, but the problem is that in order for it to not be exploitable, the long way around would have to be so short that the killer could lunge around it. But at that point, you'd just be losing a lot of ground by doing so.Let's just imagine a hole in the blank wall of the shack for a moment (sorry for the PTSD beta players). If I sat in that hole crouched, I could go back and forth to stay just outside of the killer's reach. Even with slower crouch speed it would be possible, but let's also throw Urban Evasion into the mix. Now I have a very big margin for error.
So in order for it to work, the long way would have to be short. But now we have the flip side, I move really slow for a couple seconds only to have the killer walk around it and hit me. So the next step from there is make it a little faster. And at this point you basically just have a window vault.
What if it worked like a window vault except of course the killer can't "vault" it (I can't think of any good uses for it, just throwing out ideas)?
-
If you can not reach the front of the hatch (for example if the hatch spawned halfway inside a tree) you can not get into position in front of the hatch to activate the key and open it.

I don't like the part about seeing perks, but I wouldn't mind to see survivors getting locked 5 seconds earlier. I mean, most of the time "toxic" survivors are switching to a flashlight. Now, flashlights aren't that strong anymore as they used to be. So personally don't mind to see 4 flashlights, I can deal with that easily.
At the same time, last second switchers are giving me a valid reason to tunnel the ######### out of them lolYea but have you ever taken into account those people want to just play a game with items and have fun? Sure you may be a good killer and don’t mind the 4 flashlights and that’s awesome I wish everyone was that way but a lot of those people start to last second switch after they’ve tried multiple times to bring the item in normally and get dodged , we need time bans for lobby dodging and then we can talk about locking survivors in for 15 seconds earlier than the killer, so the killer can adjust accordingly
Easy fix for both of these problems would be that when there is 20 seconds left on the timer, survivors can no longer switch their loadouts and players can no longer disconnect from the lobby. The killer can for the last 15 seconds switch their perks but not addons or offerings. If they killer or survivor leave the lobby their items, addons and offerings are consumed. This will prevent killers from dodging a lobby but a chance for them to pick perks to counter the survivors items.

Many games have tried that. It universally gets abused to block good players and cheat the matchmaking. You get easier matches, the good player sits in queue for an hour because everyone blocked them.
The intentions are good, but if something can be abused, it will be. Please report toxic people. We do review reports and we will deal with them.
So beeing toxic aka teabagging, nodding, smacking the hooked one etc isn't allowed anymore or how do I understand "we will deal with them"?
By toxic people I think he meant people holding the game hostage, sandbagging other survivors, overall things that make the game unfun or are plain exploits etc.
Just use common sense and you'll be fine.
-
@Peanits said:
That's exactly right, we would. This is because an in-game report is the only way we can verify that the profile you have provided us is the person in the video.Say you really hate me, and you want me to get banned. So you get your buddy to change their name to be the same as mine, you queue up until you end up in the same lobby as each other, and then you tell him to break some rules and say some really horrible stuff in the chat. Then you record that, do a little editing, make it look like you're opening up my profile, and then send that report in.
Now if we took stuff like that at face value, we could end up banning innocent people. That's not to say that you specifically would do that, but there are some people out there who would. Some people can hold a mean grudge, and others will do it just for kicks.
In-game reports remove any doubt of who's who. You can't report the wrong guy and then edit a video together later because they IDs won't match up. I would much rather turn down a couple reports and ask the reporters to remember to report in-game as well in the future than accidentally ban someone for no reason.
In short, yes, we will turn it down, we are not going to run the risk of banning the wrong person. The ticket is for additional information, not as a replacement to an in-game report.
Is there any kind of feedback to reporting guilty players? If not, it would remind people to report if they knew that their reports matter. Even a simple "A player you reported has been banned" or something along those lines.
