Swf vs solo balance idea - Make hooked survivors aura change based on killer TR intensity

Darker the closer the killer is to normal if he is not in terror radius.

Comments

  • Not every killer always has a terror radius. If the killer camps, a surv can wave their arms.

What makes SWF strong is that they can coordinate who is going to the hook and who is staying on a gen. That saves a lot of time.

  • This wouldn't work, it will only punish killers. This won't help combat camping either since players who want to camp will start using insidious.

  • Just make a built in Kindred and rework the current one to be something like this:

When on a hook, give a 9% generator repair speed to 1/2/3 survivors. That is literally all it needs to combat camping and make solo as strong as SWF. Then buff the killers to be as strong as Nurse or Billy.

They already do that anyway, if someone wants to camp they will regardless of what the repercussions are
  • Kindred should be a passive thing for every solo survs :)

I agree. It's not like we're asking for survivors to have Bond which is very powerful imo

This is just a small QOL improvement to help with the huge camping issues the game has.

Besides swf already have this so its not like killers are going to be put at a massivse disadvantage, this only helps out solo players.
  • Each time they try to buff solo they inherently buff swf.

It would be better if they first seperated buffs for how someone joins a game so joining via swf queue you get hindered since you already have a list of perks via comms.

Giving solo players all this information just dumbs down the game and removes any need to be aware of what's going on in the game like it was in the past, personally all the information they are giving is not making the game more fun, it is making it less fun by leading us by the hand and telling us what we need to do in a situation.

Bring back the dbd where we had to think and be aware of what was going on, using our knowledge of the game we built up by playing.

One issue with arm waving since I play both sides as a killer I know that's the signal for get away I'm being camped which makes it really hard for me to not camp when I search for them
  • Yea just keep buffing survivors. Don't stop.

Kindred basekit wouldn't really buff good organised swf groups, but would help solos to step up a lot. The main reason why swfs are so fast at gens is that as soon as someone gets hooked ONLY 1 mates goes off the gen to save, while the others keep pumping the gens. Solos instead get situations where all 3 are going off the gen to save which is a time waste OR none goes expecting that someone else is going and the hooked one goes into second stage or even dies. Kindred basekit would help soooo much to get a balance between solo and swf so devs can finally do second objectives asap
