  • I did read it and obviously you can't type correctly because you clearly make it out like he has a reason to be upset, it's a game there is no reason to be mad unless you get toxic messaging , if you keep getting stomped at the game at this point you're probably boosted there are no more explanations with state of the game , that person was better at the game that's all there is to it no more BS excuses for the killer ,that card is overplayed and worn totally out now

  • @SovererignKing said:

Someone tea bagged him. You expect him not to be upset? Sure, you didn’t do it, but someone did. Instead of sitting there arguing with him you should have tried to be nice and say something like “I’m sorry someone tea bagged you. It wasn’t me, but whoever did it is an #########. We’re not all like that. I apologize for my teammates behavior.”

I’ve said that and the Killer immediately apologized for what he said. He was angry cause on of my friends is actually an ######### and tea bagged. I ripped my friend a new one for being an ######### and talked to the Killer.

Don’t pretend this is about not getting a 4K. He’s mad because someone on your team was being an ######### to him. Please don’t fight toxicity with toxicity. It only breeds more hatred.

Dude I've made you DC in game before , and if he gets butt hurt over a bunch of pixels humping the ground than he deserves to be upset people like you get way too emotional about this game like it's real life or something

I agree, killers are meant to be scary not be play things for survivors, that's why nurse is the only killer that is balanced imo

Anyone who cries survivor OP anymore is boosted there is no other explanation for it at this point , those people just aren't as good as they thought at the game and they come here to cry about it , I can consistently get a 3-4k playing at rank one even with "trash" tier killers it's never been easier than it is right now to get kills , hopefully they stop listening to the unnecessary crying because that's what's gonna kill this game

  • @Orion said:

Adrenaline, Decisive Strike, Borrowed Time, Lithe, Self-Care...

And you wonder why the killer is slightly pissed? I'm not saying his attitude is OK, but it didn't come out of nowhere.

So the killer should be pissed because they used perks? Dude you're so biased it's ridiculous at this point , and you should try actually playing the game more than a hour every two weeks if you're gonna be taken seriously on discussions

I think they should nerf looping after they buff stealth in my opinion.

Maybe they add more vegetation, or increase the amount of solid LoS blockers.

With all the changes to lighting there's no way even with Claudette you're gonna pull off stealth unless you have a boosted killer who doesn't realize the grass is bent over and slightly moving , because even if you crouch still in tall grass you can see it if you know what it looks like without a survivor there

Just a reminder that the main point of this post is theory crafting solutions.

So far I've just heard the collision thing, which is great but I'm sure people can come up with more idea's. Or does everyone think that would be sufficient?

The problem with spirit is it really doesn't take skill to play her, anyone telling themselves different should try playing a lower tier killer to see how really skilled they are in chase, you don't have to know how to run tiles correctly to play her you can literally just phase and listen, also when you run stridor it makes iron will useless and she basically has no weakness besides a power cool down at that point , throw prayer beads into the mix and it should be at least a 3k everytime if the person playing her isn't boosted, so I guess my issue is that she's too easy to master and there aren't any true counters to her ability the match is literally controlled by the skill of the person using her and if they don't run tiles correctly it will be a easy win but if they even slightly have an idea on how to run tiles there's no reason you should be losing you have every advantage to end chases as fast as possible and high mobility for Gen control along with your physical body phasing in and out when not even using power for skilless mindgames, of course genrush is possible but not likely in the hands of a good spirit who knows how to end chases.

  • I play on PC and PS4 and I can tell you there's not a big difference, I went to rank 1 with a controller on PC and sure the nurses are better on PC but that's about it .....I'll even dare to say when a killer/survivor was boosted on PC it was ten times worse than any console player but I guess that's the people trying to use keyboard and mouse who don't know how, overall you have more control on keyboard and mouse but it wasn't enough of a difference to switch to using just that and a controller feels more natural for me.

than you have never faced a good hag, best you can do is get rid of traps at a hook or at good loops and even than its a easy 1 second to replace said trap during a chase. not once have i had a FL ruin a game ever since trap placing speed was increased.

It's not really that big of a problem like some make it out , even with multiple ones in game if you run Franklin's and trap their item you can snowball really well because when someone brings a flashlight they will 90% of the time try to go back for it

  • @Gorgonia said:

I’m so bad at aiming on ps4 D:

The best advice I can give is try to aim before you click, aim for the neck, and click when the survivor is upper chest level about to go on the killers shoulder for the save it may take a few tries to get the timing but its totally worth it

  • @EldritchElise87 said:

Because the game has started to be balanced around decent survivor-level play, Red rank survivors arnt the ones complaining, the bad ones are.

If you are having a tough time playing survivor, perhaps try to get better? I don't even mean that in a condesceding way, the game takes a long time to learn and the mechanics actually fool you into thinking you are skilled, when you are not.

Most survivors are actually trash, you only need to play a few games of killer at rank reset or at anything below rank 5 to see this, taking stupid routes, using pallets early, making dumb saves or no saves at all, a bizare complete shutdown of any attempt to do gens with ruin.

This does 2 things, it pushes new survivor players to either play killer, or quit, killer is hard but if yuo are trying to farm bloodpoints even a bad game still gets you a good return, when if you are new/trash you are going to end most games with 3-5k points as survivor.

There really insnt a solution, the game used to be balanced around rank 20 survivors, and as a result the decent players could utterly dominate any killer they came across with near perfect results, it wasn't everyone, but the good players at Rank 1 set the standard for what the game should be, everyone else either needs to get to that level of skill, or whine and complain about it.

Honestly the same could be said about killers, if you still whine about "OP" survivors chances are you're a boosted killer who isn't as good as you thought, I play both sides equally to rank 1 and I can tell you it's not the difficulty that drives survivors away it's the lack of diversity, Everytime a new perk comes out for survivors the entire worlds tissue supply ends up on these forums drying up all the tears of salty killer mains who haven't even saw the perk in action but yell OP and no I'm not talking about M.O.M., crying killers are what's ruining this game- people who think they should never have to switch a build up to compete, or should be able to catch all 4 survivors with ease and never want to use their brain to mindgame or run the tiles right , ive saw threads asking to start a survivor already hooked/on the ground, threads saying survivors should be able to do nothing but run in a straight line etc... Not saying you're one of those people because I don't know for sure what you think or how you play for that matter

  • I agree it should be removed if the map is balanced , only boosted killers rely on bloodlust because they dont know how to properly run tiles then come here to cry "survivor OP" and spew out ridiculous nerf ideas like starting someone on the hook from the beginning

  • Empathy is a very underrated perk , people will claim that swf makes it pointless but there are plenty of times where it's hard to give and exact location to someone and you can visualize something better than someone telling you , so not only do you have a perk that tells you where the killer is and if someone is being chased, but you also have a perk that if you run a flashlight with it you can save teammates if you're nearby or heal up an injured survivor if they aren't able to heal, because even though some may not mind being injured there are alot of people who will plain just screech to a halt and not work on anything and try to stay hidden until they can get healed.

  • Yea and before they did the exhaustion nerf vigil was amazing it was 32 second Sprint burst , Dead hard was the best exhaustion perk back then though because balanced wasn't buffed yet to where you don't get slowed when you're falling and you could loop for days with dead hard consistently coming back .

Yeah i wouldn't mind if they did that but they probably wont honestly they even said a good minute ago they wanted Mori's to be base kit so who knows anymore but i agree Insta Heals need the BNP treatment.

I'm fine with a Cypress Mori being baseline because if you go down as the last one you're dead anyway , and I wouldn't mind the ebony if it could only be performed on your death hook , but with the way it is now it's braindead to get a 4k with an ebony

  • Honestly I would rather the devs remove the ebony Mori and red instaheals from the game both are extremely unfair to either side , a billy nurse or spirit with a ebony Mori is pretty much a guaranteed 4k unless you're awful at the game , and a red instaheal to killers like wraith and Freddy are just plain broken because it already takes them forever to catch you just to be brought right back to full health

  • Lol or the old saboteur where you broke the hook and it never came back along with breaking the trappers traps and making him useless the whole game , now that was a real ######### show !

  • Nothing in this game is toxic except for post game chat , it's impossible for anything intended in game to be toxic, I don't care if you are face camped or a survivor is instahealed in your face it's not toxic

  • Yea because when you play solo randoms are always hitting greats 🙄 but seriously this is a terrible idea , it's already hard enough to get randoms on gens without ruin let alone making it built in. I would literally never play without swf again if that were implemented , you can't rely on cancerous randoms that don't do anything productive then DC when they're caught the first time which is already the problem now so why do you think this would help that?

  • @fcc2014 said:

Giving players less incentive to play the game is a terrible idea. So many players only still play the game because of their friends you will hurt the player base and players will attempt to circumvent this by dodging till they play with their friends.

If solo's switched to Killer great. More killers and it allows them to see both sides of the game. Killer ques are only taking longer because of the latest chapter and event. This should balance out again soon.

They will never quit crying until all the survivors are gone, you know that!!

I mean a ton of survivors have already quit playing which is why killer lobbies take like 15 mins to fill up, at this point if I see people complaining about either side I already know they're boosted AF because playing killer 2 years ago was unfair but now it's nothing like that and the game is the most balanced it's ever been

  • @MrsPiggyIsSoSneaky said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/551883#Comment_551883

necessarily, SWF does not need to be removed, it just needs a huge change to it, and to my understanding, getting rid of SWF would not affect cue times at all as you would still have the same amount of people playing as survivor, but just as solo now, of course if people quit cause of that, then that's on them. If anything, having everyone play solo would loosen up the clutter of matchmaking because of the mess that SWF can do (ranks and all that)

If you think people would continue to play this game after the removal of swf you're very wrong and the lobby times would turn into hours not minutes because it would be just like before and whoever was still left playing the game would just dodge until they were matched with their friends like before swf was introduced, this game grew as much as it did because of swf also, without that option this game wouldn't have made it to consoles and it would've died out on PC eventually

  • @invira_zero said:

As i get, and what peanits said, instead of getting flow of survivors, you get some assigned people.

In my case, its only make things better, cause instead of waiting 30+ mins for full lobby, Atm, i wait only about 7 mins to get normall lobby. As for me, ill repeat

@Peanits also mentioned in another thread that not as many survivors are playing and there are alot trying to play killer right now , they need to just go ahead and make the game free to play and then have people buy the chapters, it's about to be free on mobile anyway so now would be the perfect time to do it

  • There aren't as many survivors playing that's the problem

  • @Redd said:

Realistically they are just going to fix the perk in the Gf hotfix and not ban anyone.

That's what I think, people who are stretching for a ban without an official announcement are dreaming it's not gonna happen unless they warn everyone because not everyone is on the forums and some average Joe who doesn't read all patch notes and just glances over the announcement banner who ran the perk before might think it was just a buff to the perk , not everyone plays this game 24/7 , what about the newbies? We gonna ban them for going for adept Quentin and running a perk they don't even understand is bugged but works well?

  • @Redcum said:

Double standard at its finest. Legion's players didn't deserve the ban then I guess.

Only people who were dumb enough to use it after they issued a warning got banned , no one else did I know a couple of people who told me they used it before the warning regularly and then stopped after and nothing happened, the real question is where is the warning? You can't just go senselessly banning people so where are the behaviour representatives saying "don't run this perk or you could be banned"?... They aren't , and that's why people who don't care will continue to do so

With this bug +left behind +Spine chill and resilience and a purple toolbox you can do gens in 9.45 seconds...... dont believe.... search up cowsiam.... he just posted a vid about it

Yea if you're the only survivor, with the left behind buff of course you could do it with all that but you'll never be in that situation because closing the hatch puts a stop to it , the gens will never be even double that time in a normal game and any sane survivor should be finding the hatch if they're alone or trying to get be near a gate for when the hatch closes not repairing remaining gens

It took more than one person and the stupids stabbed themselves in vital spots to try and get away with the crime. They were absolutely boosted potatoes.

Exactly, I don't think these people have seen the movies if they are expecting something powerful out of that

@Tsulan so reasonable killer mains can't downvote this?

Almost every point the OP made was wrong. Except for Ghostface being trash and survivors being stronger.

The examples he used were unrealistic and obviously he doesn't have in depth knowledge. So as a killer main, I'm still downvoting this.

Even if you prove to be a rank one killer like I did before and voice your opinion it turns into "BuT MaKInG raNK 1 is eZ" ....ok so which is it then is my next question, is it so hard nobody can handle red ranks or is it "too ez" to get there so my opinion doesn't count? I guess if you don't cry your eyes out every day on here you're not a true killer main to them.

  • Ghostface was even boosted in the movies I don't know what people were expecting from a killer that could barely get the job done in the first place

  • I think alot is riding on dedicated servers and new game modes, there are other games like DBD in the making and I feel like this next year is going to be crucial for the game

  • You got robbed you were totally behind her on the last hit , I had a similar issue except I was a blendette on the same map , I got hit when I was behind the killer and it was so much of a rip off hit that he couldn't find me and thought I was in front of him he walked all around the jungle gym while I was behind him and just crawled away until I got picked up

  • @SlinkyJinky said:

There's no need to block the stairs when you can just play the game:

    • When their coming down the stairs hit them once
    • After they've rescued the other Survivor hit them again and their down
    • Go after their rescued ally, hit them as well, return and hook them both.

I totally agree with you and @Poweas but unfortunately the devs don't see it that way which is why i made my comment above, this has been requested multiple times in the past and it was shot down on a live stream they said if you go into the basement then whatever happens is on you and that survivors shouldn't feel so comfortable in the killers lair

  • I'm referring to this thread https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/61580/why-is-this-allowed-to-happen#latest Making their hitboxes larger is a terrible solution for this increasingly growing issue.

As scummy as it is I have to say if you go in the basement that's totally on you and with the new endgame collapse coming as long as one survivor can escape and activate the collapse it's fair game to block the stairs, it doesn't need to be widened, as much as I truly hate that it's not gonna do any good because it falls in line with the rules set in place already.

  • If the killer DC you're pretty much SOL unless they implement something

  • @ReikoMori said:

The killer's FOV was messed with so that when someone is really close, almost inside your character model close, you can't look down and see them. You're only option is to swing, but sometimes that can miss.

I main the hillbilly and I can tell you for a fact that's wrong, I can easily look down and hit survivors blocking me , what's happening is the survivors will sometimes get behind you body blocking you from behind at the hook so you can't swing frontwards you have to turn and hit them away

  • @pemberley said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/458702#Comment_458702

    A) Literally no decent killer thinks surviving is toxic. How survivors behave or go about reaching the endgame through exploitive means could be toxic and that’s what killers take issue with.

    B) Pretty sure permanently blocking windows comes from the fact that there’s a bug that allows survivors to vault even with bamboozle up. Breaking pallets before they fall is overkill though.

    C) You literally cannot dodge your way into a higher rank.

    D) You can like and enjoy a game while recognizing flaws and hoping it does better.

You're wrong because by dodging certain lobbies to find an easier game you bypass a challenge you might've lost, i shouldn't have to play solo with no items or cosmetics just to find a game, abd the bug you're talking about is only on PC and the survivors don't see it get blocked that's a problem with killers still being in chase while on survivors screen they broke chase, and there's a difference in hoping it gets better to just wanting to make it easy for yourself since you're not as good as you thought you were at the game, they get salty because they lose not because it's "unfair" those same people will refuse to look at what they could've done better to counter certain scenarios

  • @pemberley said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/458688#Comment_458688

Oh are you talking about the basement staircase? The very basement that’s supposed to be the killer’s lair and the one place survivors do not want to be in? Yeah, no.

One is borderline exploitive, where you could still block standing and blocking the killer’s path like somebody with a spine, the other is you asking for survivors to have yet another free handout even when the basement is the one place killer has the advantage.

Body blocking the hook isn't exploitive and can be easily countered with m1 WGLF even encourages body blocking

Rebalancing Nurse and Billy after the other killers get buffs is another story for another thread. Although now that you mention it, these changes would help other killers be more frequently played.

I do not have a killer bias. I play both sides equally. And BECAUSE I play both sides equally I know just how powerful swf are vs solos and killers. If the game was as decidedly in killers’ favor as it is now with swfs, I would advocate as such.

I want this game to be fun and fair for everyone who plays fun and fair (and not be toxic bullies.)

Surviving is toxic to most of these killer mains on here, FFS there's even a thread calling for a perk to break unused pallets AND block windows off permanently in one freaking perk!! The bias is unreal on these forums and it seems all the killers who dodge their way to a rank they dont belong want to cry when everygame they feel outmatched by better players , then want to derank to noob ranks and come back here to ######### about DC survivors. It's absolutely ridiculous and as someone who plays both sides to rank 1 I can tell you it's not far from balanced it's literally a few minor tweaks and QOL changes for both sides that could even it out , if it were as unfair as some claim then why the hell are they still here ? And why have they continued to play a game that they apparently hate? People just get salty over having a rough match and come here to vent unrealistic expectations to make the game easier for them instead of adapting

  • @pemberley said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/458595#Comment_458595

Did you even read the entire post? I’m suggesting that groups stay as groups, solos essentially get buffs and benefits that make them on equal footing as current swf, current popular swf trends be a little less exploitive (Bloody Claudette with a key crouch blocking a hook,) and that killers get incentives to actually WANT to play swf AND lower the rates of lobby dodges.

And swf wouldn’t be perkless. Duos essentially play like adepts and Quads have 1 each, totaling 4 unique perks and items, making for creative and challenging builds.

How is any of this bad? Unless you want a brain dead 4 man escape and are afraid of an actual challenge.

It makes sense to make quad swf hard mode given all the benefits they have and the perks they naturally have at their disposal.

Dude I can already 3-4k every match I play at red ranks, am I the best? Hell no definitely not but when you take killers who already don't have trouble getting the job done and throw them in with a full group only having 1 perk each it absolutely becomes a braindead 4k, the game is for the most part balanced there are only minor tweaks needed to make it even and what you're suggesting is way too drastic and has a killer bias like everything else you post on here

  • So basically you want a braindead 4k against a perkless group

  • @Judith I would take @fcc2014 advice and just run WGLF as your main BP farmer, think of it like this..sure it's possible to get all those bloodpoints if you dedicate your perks to it but without support perks to help you mid game who says you make it to the end and dont waste perk slots? Alot of people may disagree with me but the escape alone is 5000 without hatch and WGLF makes that 10,000 id rather secure those extra points than to have other perks go to waste at the end of the trial, nolb is only good if someone gets caught at the end and it's not a good enough perk to rely on it as to where empathy gives you knowledge throughout the game to help you stay away from dangerous areas and get those saves you want for the WGLF stacks along with heal points

  • @Mat_Sella said:

but on a more realistic note, sometimes, you can have a salty SFW team playing with you, they think you're the reason one of them died, and then you're not only trying to avoid the killer, but the survivor's who are trying to kill you as well. It happens, trust me.

The dead one spectates and tells them where you are, the other leads the killer constantly towards you.

Most of the time that's not gonna happen unless you intentionally farmed that person right in front of the killer or body blocked them for the killer, hid and did nothing yhe whole match etc.. , if you play like an ######### people will treat you like one, it's like the people who complain about getting facecamped but fail to mention that they previously played that killer and decided to BM the whole game , it's all fun until someone is an ######### back

EDIT: Our User Research team is now responsible for surveys and they decide what the strategy is. On the case of Player satisfaction feedback, it is more efficient to release those after the entire community gets the content.

Ruin isnt even that powerful but I get why it's a Hex... Rank 20-10 will struggle against Ruin if It wasnt a Hex totem.

I've always said that hex totems should stay in the match after they are broken but they should be a nerfed version, that way the killer could keep all 4 perks. For example: whenever you break Ruin, the effect comes back whenever 2 people are injured at the same time.

Though we don't agree too often I can dig it, I think it's a good idea.

  • Neither, both can be countered and force you to waste perk slots , on my billy I currently run pop goes the weasel, BBQ, spirit fury and enduring , it's been working out pretty well honestly, I use to use ruin to slow the game down but it's pretty much a 50/50 on whether it stays active longer than a couple minutes

  • You Mori her in the tall grass and shes laying on her back, I can see it

  • That's not true at all, it's only certain types of players that do that and it's nowhere near the majority, usually the tell tale sign of those players is they run urban evasion and Sprint burst while someone who's more active and in chase will run something more like balanced landing because it has a use even when exhausted if in a chase

  • I've been getting 60 ping every match on the servers it's quite nice

  • Think it would be better if it triggered once you had half the gens done, so once you get two and a half gens the entity awakens mid game enraged by your chances of survival and begins the end game collapse where you have 7 minutes to get the last two gens done and escape the trial , that leaves plenty of room for the killer to get their hooks and earn more points , and a chance for the survivors to save someone if hooked but also punishes them for not doing their objective in a timely manner when at the end of a game you have to choose between saving someone or getting out alive by the timer.

  • @Peanits just curious, what's your stand on voice comms ? I personally feel as if it doesn't matter because I can see something better than someone can tell me so I run empathy even in a group but I was wondering what your thoughts were on this being considered "cheating" by some
