Maybe collapse timer should be at the start

with the following changes of course:

  1. Timer increased to 10 minutes
  2. Timer is increased by 1 minute for every generator completed
  3. The collapse timer still slows down if there is a downed or hooked survivor
  4. if the last generator is completed, the timer is set to the shorter of :current Collapse time or 2 minutes.
  5. Timer itself is not visible, because you can hear the dinging at the intervals and the tick-tock and hum when you're running out of time (also makes it slightly spoopier)

with my proposed idea, no match lasts longer than 30 minutes. if you cannot escape the match in 30 minutes, you did not deserve to live in the first place.

Survivor's are encouraged to work on gens at their most optimal speed or be impaled by The Entity.

Killer's are rewarded for protecting their generators, which is hard to do against competent survivors.

If you wish to be that guy who slugs, you obviously will not be rewarded by the timer. Do your job, put people on the hook. people didn't spend 20+ bucks to be laying on the floor for 4 minutes every match.

Now obviously to avoid exploiting the timer:

  1. Minimum distance between generators increased (Only up to 2 gens can spawn in the same 28 meter radius)
  2. Killer's staying in the same relative position to trap survivors for over 60 seconds will lose collision with survivor's

    Totally support

That may make the game more intense and more matches

  • Sounds good. Doesn't work. 3 gen doc would rule.

  • Think it would be better if it triggered once you had half the gens done, so once you get two and a half gens the entity awakens mid game enraged by your chances of survival and begins the end game collapse where you have 7 minutes to get the last two gens done and escape the trial , that leaves plenty of room for the killer to get their hooks and earn more points , and a chance for the survivors to save someone if hooked but also punishes them for not doing their objective in a timely manner when at the end of a game you have to choose between saving someone or getting out alive by the timer.

  • Not a good idea ... any killer that has huge map presence will only get more op...
