I'll be there for sure, first ptb for me
-
You can hit them through windows and over the small fences in Haddonfield already is this bait?
-
@ColgateAdvancedWhite said:
Then they have to increase the hit boxes. Otherwise it's a nerf
Nope sorry , no more bullshit hits from way out of left field, you're gonna have to land those hits now big boy, they've needed to fix that for a long time , I've been chainsawed after jumping from a second story window when I had already landed and they were still in the house , this is a very long overdue change
-
It's getting pretty ridiculous TBH , if it's not huge just tell us already , don't build everyone up to be let down
-
The suspense is killing me! Lol I really wish they would say something, in the words of ash "are we gonna be here all day?"
-
Just run adrenaline and gen rush, no need to heal
-
Marth is about to do the experiment again with the depip squad to see current changes effect on the game , I guess we'll see how they do this time around

@OrionsFury4789 I know. That's why survivors use loops, which I should remind you buys even MORE time than what my math covers.
Remember you can turn instantly in this game, so if you have a long enough wall to run around and vision of the Killer then you effectively have an infinite distance you could run and then some due to the Killers larger hitbox.
Not to mention windows, pallets ect.
Either way, an important question is: How long SHOULD the average chase last?
I don't mean a tryhard survivor with a million second chance perks against a low tier Killer, or a Nurse against some random noob, those are extremes and would both be outliers for sure. But just a simple chase between roughly equal skilled players, say for example against a doctor. Remember this is the simplest possible chase, the fact that it won't actually happen misses the point since what actually does happen is even longer.

It's hard to say how long because if they are equally skilled like you're saying it could really go either way , the survivor could get mindgamed by the killer immediately or he could do the same to the killer there are too many unknowns in that situation, where does the chase start? are you near a strong loop or main building? Those are very important because certain tiles have a better chance at survival while others limit options and give the killer more control, not saying you are wrong about a chase possibly dragging out longer than it should be that can also work the other way at times
-
@GrootDude said:
@OrionsFury4789 no doubt it can be nice and waste time. It just isn’t too strong.
I can agree with that given the fact that you can't control when it's going to trigger while in chase
-
@GrootDude said:
Poised can only activate five times in a match and isn’t even that strong.
On certain maps it can be a killer , red forest or Haddonfield coupled with BL and IW , you can waste a large amount of time and leave them looking in a area you've been long gone from it's a very underrated perk IMO
-
Yes it works in a chase, very nice with BL
-
Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think there is a single map you could run in a straight line for that long, you would eventually have to turn because of the map size you would get cornered and taken out faster than that , even on coldwind I don't think you have a solid minute to get from one side to the other it would be faster than that forcing you to find safety and that's where the killer can easily cut you off with that strategy and mindgame you, the edges of the map are the most dangerous when in a chase especially if the killer knows to run the loops forcing the survivor towards the wall with nothing instead of back into the map for safety.

@KiraElijah said:
I'd like to say that would help, but it would make them so much worse. And like someone else said TOTH should become a normal perk without a timer
I would rather thrill of the hunt not be a hex and show the auras of a survivor on ANY totem on the map instead of just hex totems, that perk could use a buff IMO
-
I like @powerbats idea about ruin it should stay active for 40 seconds after the totem is broken as a lingering effect and then wear off
-
So basically you want to nerf it into the ground and make it into a free kill for the killer, why don't we just make it a killer perk while we're at it and take every damn thing the survivors have away too, thats basically what the whole general discussion page has become , as someone who plays both sides to Red ranks the perk is fine it's no different than certain killer perks or add ons yet anything the survivors get always gets cried about

And this is why I often regret trying to help people and providing information I've read around the forum, because some people can't tell the difference between someone else relaying information and someone expressing an opinion, and then they get pissy at me for what someone else said.
Honestly in the most non pissy or offensive way possible I want to know why you still play this game at all if you have this big of a problem

No sir I actually appreciate it when you do relay useful information however you do the exact thing you accuse other people of doing to your threads , just like in the thread you were throwing @thesuicidefox name out there , I only get pissy when I see people being hypocrites or flat out over exaggerating things like how these killers try to pretend survivors are some unstoppable Force in this game when we both know they aren't

Hey, I'm not saying it's rational, I'm just saying that trying to force people to play trials they don't think are going to be fun won't work. Keep in mind that every killer that quits means another four survivors can't get a lobby.
######### are you even playing this game for honestly? Answer that for us, I've saw you ######### for well over a year now about this game and I've saw you stream quite a few times ,you really don't even play this game to high ranks on either side so you don't have a clue about what is going on anyway, you and the same people go into survivor threads and completely dumpster fire them if they have any legitimate concern or differing opinions about the game and make yourself out to be this DBD god that is never wrong , but yet when you make a thread and the topic even veers a little you "summon mods" to save you, ill bet you have three-four times the hours on this forum than you do the game

nahh not gonna happen, but it's pretty fun tho, like on identity v , was an event
Why wouldn't they allow it in KYF if people are already using a glitch in KYF to make it happen? I think you're wrong , KYF is the perfect environment to have that in
-
@The_Bogeyman said:
You just got lame killers with no confidence that's all, fam.
What's sad is it's the majority of red rank killers on PS4, if you have more than one item or any sort of cosmetic they're taking a plane ticket out that MFer, but then they come here to complain about SWF when they don't belong in the red ranks in the first place, they've dodged their way up cherry picking lobbies then act like they know something about balance smh
-
@BBQnDemogorgon said:
Equip default cosmetics and no items.
Stops dodges 90% of the time for me. Hide your trophies also.
That's horseshit you shouldn't have to do that, they should start implementation of time bans on these people
-
If he was good enough to moonwalk chase you, while you bled out he is just the better player.
If you can read even a little bit you should look at the general discussion front page, it's completely filled with the salty tears of killer mains just like you
-
Honestly I wish they would just outright allow you to do it without a glitch in KYF , @not_Queen is there any chance the devs will throw this option in there? It's a ton of fun and it doesn't have to be any sort of priority Because there are plenty of more important issues but it would be amazing to have this option when you have too many friends online for swf
-
Flip flop is the best when you're the runner and you have a flashlighter in the group or a sabo crew, something that forces the killer to respect who else is around you
-
I wouldn't increase the snap out time, but the illusion pallets as a base kit is an excellent idea I'm all for that, the doctor just needs a few minor tweaks to go to high mid tier from low mid tier

Oh that's good to know, I thought I had to get stunned for it to work, just break pallets. Makes the duration taken out of the chase even shorter.
@Trikset they have better perks to use as an example but just from someone who's been here for a while , it doesn't matter how much sense anything you say makes the same people who don't even play the game often anymore or derank will dwell on here trolling and acting like they are the all knowing DBD gods who are never wrong and anyone with a differing opinion is

It's not because it's not fun to play against, it's because some killers just cant counter It in any way, unlike add-ons, which all of them can be countered by any survivor with half a brain...
Run a one shot killer, or a killer that uses power it's got a counter but people just ignore it to support their narrative because they don't like it , what's the counter to iri hatchets? Don't get hit and break LOS lol same with MoM don't M1, Myers ew3 infinite? "Don't let him stalk" ok bro the bias is obvious from you otherwise you would see my point , it's not fun to play against MoM but neither are certain killers and their add-ons but it's here to stay
-
@Trikset wrong the killer doesn't get stunned but has to break pallets and then once they gain the perk they don't respect pallets so that they will get stunned for sure and make use of the perk
-
People complain that MoM isn't fun to play against but yet there are a ton of add ons the killer has that isn't fun to play against at all, its no different. It doesn't matter what you do the same people who admittingly dont even play the game much anymore(or dwell in the lower ranks on both sides) will come here crying like their opinion should be accounted for when they have no idea what happens at high ranks on either side at the current state of the game it's like they still think think it's the old DBD where survivors truly were OP, what's funny is killers have bitched at the devs to change the meta up and have more options than the same old song and dance because it was"getting old" facing the same perks they claim, the devs deliver with new perks that make you choose between old and new perks on both sides over the past year and what happens? CRYFEST 2019 Y'all!!!! I'm selling the ######### shirts if anyone would like one.
-
@Orion survivors don't see it blocked only the killer does I've saw it in match and asked a survivor and they had no idea what I was talking about they said the window got blocked and they ran away I sent the screenshot of it and they said it wasn't blocked for them until they left the shack area and that was why they quit running there, so I'm assuming it's a visual bug as @Detective_Jonathan said
-
Not really a nerf though I will agree survivors are way stronger on separate gens
-
@Tru3Lemon said:
Theres 2 problems right now
1 killer its far to ez to get 4k (billy, nurse)
2 the matchmaking if youre rank 7 or less youll get some noob survivors that are rank 14-12
This right here 1000%!! Where I'm new to PC and have zero friends on steam I get paired with some of the dumbest people you could imagine, I honestly question if any of them have a brain stem sometimes.

@Orion said:
The surprise is gonna be dedicated servers. Wanna bet?
@orion thats the most logical thing I could think of, all these people expecting immediate reworks or someone else who spoke of Sidney and ghostface are overthinking it , whatever it is it's not going to be some ridiculous new content that nobody knows about especially with all the changes coming anyway it would throw everything out of whack , bugs galore
-
I really think the community should try and get the devs to do an extended PTB, maybe they listen maybe not but these are a huge amount of changes including totally reworking 2 killers to the point one of them(Freddy) isn't even gonna feel like the same killer anymore along with patch notes and Total endgame rework?
I just feel like the changes are so drastic that extended time should be taken to balance things out and check for bugs
-
Whats the cheapest pc thatwill still run dbd better than console?
If you're not willing to drop at least 800 dollars on one don't even think about it stick to the console, I saved up and got a PC because I felt it was worth it for more than just this game and if you want this game to run smooth it's better to have something that can handle this game in it's sleep and not something that's maxing out every resource just to run this game

Looping exploits hitboxes and different accelerations. It also does not allow you to lose the killer in any conceivable way, since the whole point of looping is to prolong the chase; not win it.
Looping is not an exploit that's why it's not reportable @Detective_Jonathan is talking about the bugged filthy blade nasty blade combo where once you've been frenzied 3-4 times your stuck mending for like 10 minutes
-
This game is damn near already balanced or none of you would play it , if it were as bad as some of you make it out to be the game would've died off 2 years ago and wouldn't have continued to grow, also I wouldn't be able to 2-4k in every game I play, I haven't gotten under 2 kills in idk at least 6 months I'd say and Im at red ranks pretty consistently, am I the best killer? Well ######### no I'm not anywhere close but I am a veteran at the game and know my stuff whether some people believe it or not

@Lamia said:
Freddy should be able to teleport around objects on the map, such as vaults, chests, and lockers so he can pop out of them and jump scare people. His current power is kinda lame when you think about what Freddy could really do in the movies.
If they were to keep it, someone suggested that he could use it to teleport to vaults and walk over them backwards during a chase with someone in the dreamland.
@Lamia I really like that idea, keep all survivors in the dream world and allow Freddy to teleport through fire barrels or lockers and pop out to jump scare, maybe even give him a voice kinda like ash except in game with a few phrases when hopping out of an object , it would feel more like the real Freddy that's in movies that way and also prevent people from trolling and double healing someone he just downed back to injured and woken up, it's kinda sad he literally can do nothing in those situations.

@OrionsFury4789 - I had no idea you could use an old PS4 controller. I went out and bought an XBox controller (which also feels unnatural). Now I feel dumb!
@JawsIsTheNextKiller you have to install this program called Ds4 and then go to DBD on steam and set the controls up and then it will work like a charm, you just have to make sure you install the first choice on Ds4 and not the 360 , honestly I feel like the reaction time is faster even with a controller on PC it took a game to adjust to how sensitive the right stick was when looking around and I don't have my sensitivity adjusted at all yet on the game itself because I could only get like three games in before bed

@OrionsFury4789 I technically am a console peasant, just not one for Dead by Daylight.
I own a Nintendo Wii, a 3DS (old) XL, and a Nintendo Switch. So while I prefer to play PC I do have consoles for games like Fire Emblem.
@Peasant I feel that , I'm not gonna give my PS4 up anytime soon there are still a ton of games I like to play on there
-
@JawsIsTheNextKiller said:
@OrionsFury4789 - Controller or mouse and keyboard? I didn't realise how difficult transitioning over to WASD SHIFT and CONTROL would be. It feels so unnatural switching between crouch and run compared to the familar DualShock 4.
@JawsIsTheNextKiller honestly I'm using a PS4 controller at the time I was able to use the kb&m but as you stated above it didn't feel natural to me, I like the precision but I don't have the muscle memory to do it effectively yet

Lol i ve seen plenty games where old ds was never used either. People who think that new ds is just anti tunnel perk are delusional
@Slayer delusional? Ok so it only activates after the unhook for 60 secs if they aren't tunneling it doesn't work and like I said before the only other use is if you're farmed without BT in front of a camping killer , other than that it is absolutely an anti tunnel perk, and if you're half worth a ######### at this game you can run a killer long enough for it to not even work
-
@DarkGGhost said:
The new DS is better from the old DS
@DarkGGhost I disagree, the killer mains on here that went from hating DS to loving the changes should speak for itself , I saw a streamer have a 4 man DS and none of them got to use it at all and all died that match , it's very situational and if you're even half way decent at running the killer it will never proc unless you're getting camped and get farmed with no BT that's really the only time it's gonna be useful, in my opinion solo players will have more of a chance of using it because people farm each other and don't seem to care what happens in solo.
-
PS4, and starting tomorrow PC as well :) ,I plan on getting it for the switch also just to have a mobile version of the game if I choose while away from home.
Honestly I'm curious if the switch will run it better than Xbox or PS4 because it's basically like a gaming tablet and I would think it's more like a PC but of course it's not gonna touch the 1000-3000 dollar PC that people would normally use for gaming so idk what to expect from it , it could run amazing or it could be a big pixelated mess.

It wouldn't crash the BP economy honestly newer players could really use this , I have everyone p3 except for ash and a few killers but imagine someone just starting out because they got the game on discount and they rank up to around 10 pretty quick but only have basic perks vs killers who have everything maxed out and chill down in the lower ranks for whatever reason( this can also work the other way around), I'd say having a double bloodpoints weekend every two weeks would help them get teachables they want and keep them interested in the game without overcompensating
-
I think keys should be removed from the chests and only have an ultra rare key, delete the purple key and make it to where you have to bring in a key to open the hatch and if you don't get to that's 7000 points down the drain
-
@Hoodied said:
I already know your points before reading it, it has alot of drawbacks to the point that actually the perk is weak, yes you sponge a hit but you have no control over the perk, you have to bodyblock to actually get the perk to activate against most killers due to the power countering the perk, Flip Flop needs more attention due to it being a complete karma to whoever decided to slug
@Hoodedfengm1n I been screaming since the perks we're in KYF that flip flop is very powerful, have the runners use flip flop and the flashlighters use MoM and it's a deadly combo when used correctly
-
And this whole thread right here is exactly why survivors AREN'T OP , you could be doing great and one or two of your team mates decide it's not worth playing anymore because they tried to pick on the killer and it backfired or whatever reason and then they DC and leave the other survivors pretty much ######### with a slim to no chance of escaping almost guaranteed to be a hatch game at that point.
