I see nothing in the perk description why it shouldn't work in a chase.
But 10 seconds vs 3 seconds.
Thats a big difference.

It's a very specific requirement. High risk/high reward
Dance with me is a combo perk, it is to be mixed with the perks lithe and Quick and Quiet
It works in a chase, it's iffy and you need luck during chases while playing solo but swf can time gens correctly to save their team.
Honestly I run this at rank 1. It can be used when doing gens but better when your getting chased.
Can help against tunnellers and with Adrenaline it is amazing
Not necessarily— but it has good synergy with those perks. It’s great for vaults that cut LOS.
Poised can only activate five times in a match and isn’t even that strong.
Still waiting on Dark Sense to activate when someone else does a gen.

I don't see how this is strong. Absolutely random, out of control therefore luck based and can be dismissed imo. There are better perks to use instead
On certain maps it can be a killer , red forest or Haddonfield coupled with BL and IW , you can waste a large amount of time and leave them looking in a area you've been long gone from it's a very underrated perk IMO
@OrionsFury4789 no doubt it can be nice and waste time. It just isn’t too strong.
I can agree with that given the fact that you can't control when it's going to trigger while in chase
Most of the time it activates you're doing a gen yourself or just wandering aimlessly nowhere near the killer. It only really helps if the killer is nearby when you complete a gen, or you happen to be in a chase at the time. They can still see you, so the scratches only help if you break line of sight. I don't use it because it's too situational and I can't waste two slots to combo Lithe with Dance With Me.
Poised is indeed amazing in the right situations.
But some times it can be a waste of a perk slot
