Nonono I wake up to a surprisingly wholesome forum thread instead of nurse complaint thread number 874? I must be dreaming. Back to bed.

    Anyway, @GoodBoyKaru @Aneurysm @GeneralV @Grandpa_Crack_Pipe @Tsulan @Orion ( :( ) @Pulsar @TheGannMan (spirit simp) @C3Tooth (amazing art) @CashelP14 @MikaelaWantsYourBoon @Tricksters_Wife @Phasmamain and like anyone i forgot I'm bad with names.

And of course, who could forget @Sluzzy (btw still waiting for the collab between you and @Lord_Tony)

In fact can I just put @everyone ?

Don’t worry I’m scheduling the next nurse nerf thread soon :)

  • @Huge_Bush said:

Aw, thank you @Phasmamain and @GeneralV for the call outs. I've been having a heavy heart for the last few days and your call outs have helped! I've got a big ole smile on my face. As a reward, here is a picture of my little Rambo sleeping cradled in my arm (I use any excuse to show off my baby):

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/42WP03KTXXCP/rr.jpg

    Glad I could help :)

They are very cute btw. Now only if the actual Rambo could be added as a survivor

  • I do think nurse needs a nerf. I just think the design of her power has no place in dbd at its current state. Changing her add ons would be nice but is essentially adding band aids to a gaping wound which already has many band aids in place. Sure it may temporarily fix the issue but she will become an issue again if the problem is not dealt with at its source

As for how you can nerf/rework her there are a lot of options. For example you could just do a Freddy on her and change her power completely which I don’t necessarily like but might be a necessary change. You could also give her a charge up mechanic similar to Oni or Myers but I can’t think of a way to charge up that doesn’t step too much in their territory (maybe similar to dredge nightfall?)

I think it’s pretty universal at this point that her add ons need a nerf so that could be a good stepping stone at least so then they can focus on fixing her properly

Awww, thank you my dear friend!

You're definitely one of my fav Forum members too! We might have a few disagreements here and there, but deep down we are both old players who miss the golden and better days.

There are also other names that immeditately come to mind:

    @GoodBoyKaru , @TheGannMan , @Marigoria , @csandman1977 , @Phasmamain , @QwQw , @glitchboi , @WishIcouldmain , @Huge_Bush , @DoritoHead , @HaunterofShadows , @RiskyKara , @Sluzzy and @ReverseVelocity .

    You guys are amazing <3

    You’re amazing too :)

Not many are willing to stick by their opinions even if they are somewhat unpopular (though I agree with most of them) which is respectable

    My favourites are probably @Marigoria, @Huge_Bush,@Tsulan, @Aven_Fallen and @Leachy_Jr

Special shout out to Clown is king who is no longer with us but was an amazing member and fellow clown main (way better than me at him as well)

  • Won’t have to when I’m running the new distortion. Can’t wait to counter new lethal pursuer as well

  • It’s a strong combo without question. The mindgame potential it offers is amazing and it gives the antidote way more utility even out of chase

  • I’d say no. Boons as a whole are pretty weak and 3/4 require killers to be close to even get value in the first place. This would make them way too situational to bother with

  • If there’s a DC tbf you probably won’t need the trap to win the game anyway. Same goes for trap kills

  • I’m guessing they want it slightly above 50% so that on average new players are getting 2-3 kills. This will probably make them play longer

  • Making her harder doesn’t fix the issue. It just means that less people will play her but those people will be just as proficient with her since they probably play her a lot

  • Just remove the loops that spawn between shack and another tile. They end up making it too easy to chain tiles

  • Honestly I never use them but pentimento is a cool take on a hex perk and it’s effects are pretty powerful

  • Tbf you don’t need all the DLC to enjoy the game. As well as this all original dlc and about half original cosmetics are available with in game currency.

It’s really not too bad especially since dlc goes on sale pretty regularly

Yeah, its a worrying trend. Last night i watched a streamer who complained about having someone suicide on the first hook in every single match. Chat confirmed that several streamers had the same issue.

Almost like they want to scew the kill rates/get to a lower mmr that is below their actual mmr.

It’s a common thing in a lot of games to purposely lower your rank or MMR. As to why people do it in a game where matchmaking is essentially random is beyond me though

  • Even just shards would be better tbh. At least I can put them towards a cool cosmetic or something

Well disagree what we think is healthy, and that's ok. I think nurse having very unique counter play compared to the rest of the roster is a good thing. It keeps the game interesting and refreshing. You know what I do against trapper, pig, clown, Michael, GF, nemesis, oni, pyramid head, etc etc ? I pre drop and abuse windows for as long as possible. It's almost all the same killer to me with very little difference.

If you go in to a match looking to use windows and pallets against nurse. You're not going to have a very good time. You need to be looking to break LOS as much as possible and forcing 50/50s. Which arnt usually 50/50s. Because you should be reading where the nurse is blinking. It's riveting and fun. For me at least.

Do I think she would be b/low a tier if you took EVERYTHING away all at once. Absolutely. Not only do you take away the use of devore, haunted, starstruck, NOED. You now take away her traversal ability. Rather it's range or recharge to blink basekit to places. It would land her probably near cracked huntress level in terms of snowball ability.

See the issue you mentioned about how you counter other killers is a map design issue not really a killer’s design flaw. Put a clown or pig on a map like dead dawg and you suddenly realise that they actually can do well so long as maps are designed in a survivor sided way.

”If you go into a match looking to use windows and pallets against nurse you are not going to have a very good time”. This is exactly my issue. Why out of all 28 killers is she the only one I can’t use any of the in game defences against? And back to maps what if it’s a map such as ormond or blood lodge with basically no LOS blocking potential? At that point you literally just hope the nurse can’t hit blinks.

We are not taking away her traversal ability. In fact she still has more mobility, Chase potential and snowball potential than huntress due to her ability to ignore obstacles in her path (remember infectious will still work on her). Now correct me if I’m wrong but a nurse using her blink to travel is effectively as fast as a 115% thus making her more mobile than huntress without taking into account huge walls or multiple floors.

I just don’t see how that can be considered healthy when she actively ignores both methods of defence that all 27 other killers have to deal with in 1 way or the other

  • @BrokenSouI said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3058809#Comment_3058809

Yea. Of course she's stronger then them. I was just trying to draw the comparison between them. Since they have strong, strong chase powers. But are typically weak as a whole. Due to mostly map sizes and how long it takes to traverse. I only defend range currently because of the map sizes. If they were reduced. I'd be saying nerf range 100 %. But right now. I don't want to see her go the way of getting her add ons hammered to the ground, and her being average at best. Just due to map sizes alone. That's not to mention some people asking for her blinks to count as special attacks so you can't instant down. I DO think that change would be healthy. But I don't think people realize just how big of a nerf that would be to nurse. If people got ALL of the changes they wanted. Not only do you rob her range and recharge. She now can't insta down. That's a bigger impact then people seem to think

Nurse has her own set of counters and restrictions. They're just not the typical pallets and windows. That's all. It's good, healthy, and important to have killers who have to be dealt with in different ways. Not just pre drop and windows.

Yes but having a killer who ignores pallets and windows isn’t healthy. For example against a billy I have to be careful around pallets because he can break them quickly but I am generally safer to use windows. While against a huntress I have to be wary of both windows and pallets but using them well buys a ton of time.

Against a nurse unless you can get a lucky stun pallets are literally a waste of your time. Windows can be somewhat useful when you already have distance but once she’s relatively close the animation will basically lock you into getting hit. Same goes for pallets

Also are you saying nurse would be average at best (B tier basically) if her add ons and M1 interaction was nerfed? If so that would put her on level with killers like demo, Bubba or Pinhead which just wouldn’t be true

Map size is definitely an issue but nurse isn’t nearly as affected by it as other killers who are already weaker than her to begin with

  • @BrokenSouI said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3058680#Comment_3058680

She's not AS effected, correct. But without range. She's just trickster, slinger, booba. Strong chase powers and no map presence.

She's fine on small maps like coal tower, dead dawg, etc....She's not fine on maps like mother's dwelling, temple, Ormond, eyrie, etc(all examples being basekit and no range)

Until they fix maps like those. Range should definetly stay. For the record. I don't know why the distance buffs her teleport speed, but I don't think that it should. I don't really think they need drawbacks either. Most add ons don't have draw backs.

Difference with those is they are affected by pallets and windows in a huge way. Bubba is countered hard by good windows, long wall loops destroy trickster and slinger gets countered by pre dropping pallets and is punished way more than nurse for missing his power

It’s not like nurse has no pressure either. Her snowball potential is straight up ridiculous and unlike trickster and bubba can make use of M1 perks. Not to mention her ability to instantly traverse multi floor building and large walls like haddonfield houses for example.

All in all her mobility without range is still better than m1 killers especially slinger and trickster since they are 110%

  • They just got finished balancing 40 perks and a new progression system. Safe to assume they don’t have it in the works right now

Anyway as far as I know Twins are the next killer to be getting changes

  • @Tsulan said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3058512#Comment_3058512

The only thing that is busted about her, is that people instantly disconnect or suicide when facing her.

    How do you nerf that?

Tbf it seems to be a pretty effective strategy to get killers nerfed if we look a Freddy’s current state

  • Agreed with map sizes being too big but it’s not like nurse is overly affected by it at least compared to killers like trapper or Myers. I’d love to see every map have a maximum size of about groaning storehouse size

The problem with range to me is that they don’t come with any drawback and actually make you blink faster now. Imo they should reduce charge time of your blink or just not exist in general

  • So what I’m gathering is that you fought a pretty bad nurse who fell for one of the simplest mindgames against her and that means her and her busted add ons are fine?

In that case I guess dead hard is fine since I fought a David who dead harded into a tree

  • I’m kinda against it. Iri and purple add ons should be somewhat rare since a lot of them are very powerful. Realistically if I only play as clown I shouldn’t be able to run gin bottle and pinky finger every game.

That being said I wouldn’t mind them reducing bloodpoint costs across the board so long as iri and purple items become more rare

  • If they are holding the game hostage just DC and report really

  • Hex: Afterlife

Your body is broken but through pain it will be rebuilt

After being stunned by any means you gain a token up to 2/3/4 tokens. Each token grants 10% pallet stun reduction and 5% action speed bonus

All tokens are removed once the hex is destroyed

  • That’s 3 survivors not doing gens. I’d say it’s fine tbh

  • They did change a lot of it. No change was for the better though

    what.....

He kinda is though. He gets punished a lot more for mistakes and requires a lot more precision to hit around loops. You also have to learn how to play each loop properly

  • Also fog on eyrie of crows is actually insane. You can’t see past 5 feet most the time

  • Tapp should get a skin based on his appearance in the SAW video game

  • This update was a meta shift, the most meta killer of 5 years was not changed during it simple as

  • Either a banshee or a Viking killer. A banshee is long overdue and I’d love to see BHVR’s take on one

Hellraiser was a flop. Why is it up so high.

The way Pinhead was intergrated into the game was near perfect. Add that on which his fun and viable perks I’d consider it pretty damn good all things considered

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/333377/chapter-tier-list

I know that this list is purely based on your opinion but in what world was Binding of Kin “Decent”?

Not really including all the bugs at the start of it. Twins are a unique albeit flawed addition and elodie is one of the best survivor releases imo. The perks are fun too and I enjoy the the ring of the chapter. Definitely isn’t for everyone though

  • @DattPugg said:

    No stranger things?

There wasn’t on the list and honestly I kinda forgot since my PC account doesn’t have it. It would go into near perfect though with just the map letting it down

  • Honestly doctor is a D tier or at least low C. I feel like the whole meta just destroys him especially when the new endurance perks hit

  • Killer can definitely be frustrating early on. My best advice is to try every killer you have and pick one you enjoy playing. This way even if you lose you’ll probably still have fun

Also try not to get bogged down by flashlight clicking, teabagging or general toxic behaviour. You’ll probably never see those players again anyway so no point thinking about it after the match ends

  • @GannTM said:

    Artist

    Because Artist

Rin is not going to be happy about this

  • Clown because I can slow down survivors

Pinhead because I can slow down survivors

Freddy because I can sometimes slow down survivors

  • New Freddy is the poster child for how not to design a killer imo. He has a weak power that hinders survivors in a annoying way yet is also in their control so it’s basically RNG whether he gets to use his power in chase. On top of that his add ons are basically placebos with how little they affect his gameplay

Just cut your losses and bring back old Freddy with the teleport

  • This is a win win for both sides imo

No more Garden of Joy/ Haddonfield SWF’s for killer

No more scratched mirror Myers or Midwich Nurse for survivors

  • I can’t see any other reason to hate him other than the 2 I mentioned. He’s weak overall and is usually an easy escape but his chases are boring for the majority of the playerbase myself included. He was actively designed to shut down what most survivors find fun and struggles at countering the thing survivors find boring

  • @M4dBoOmr said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3048335#Comment_3048335

It's just a different tactic, do most survivors just want every game to be exactly the same?

By different tactic you mean “Literally play in the most unfun way possible” then you are right. There is some fun in trying to use the antidote as survivor but sadly 90% of clown players don’t even use it

  • @Leachy_Jr said:

Don't worry we about to see a LOT more clown hate after the update since a mini version of Brutal and Save (2 of his best chase perks) are becoming base.

I'm not too much of a clown fan but that's just because I don't like dropping pallets.

I doubt we’ll see much more hate towards him. It’s not like he’s played that often anyway and most clown’s are surprisingly bad at him (Seriously guys you know you have the yellow bottle right?)

  • @BrokenSouI said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3048237#Comment_3048237

What exactly is considered FUN counter play then....? Pre dropping pallets isn't fun. Juking nurse isn't fun according to some people. What exactly is left.....? Basic ######### m1 killers like pig that you can loop with windows until 5 gens pop ?

In the case of clown it’s the fact that he actively hinders your movement. Look at any game with mechanics like these such as overwatch and you realise many hate it. People like killers who have a strong power that can still be played around if the survivor is playing well like huntress or demo. These killers also tend to ignore low skill strata like predropping and Holding W while killers like clown or artist actively encourage them

  • Because he’s boring as hell to fight against and has 1 form of counterplay in chase being predropping pallets. Plus the impaired vision can be a pain in the ass for motion sick players (This is coming from a clown main myself)

i have gone through 50 blood webs for Zarina and still no borrowed time. Bill is p1 however. So i will finally have bt on her. I’d rather have this change than just removing perk tiers

Yes but you would go through perks significantly faster if you on,y have to unlock it once as opposed to three times

  • No denying she’s weak but a lot of pallets can still be mindgamed even by her. Not to mention her great map control and decent stealth
