I think he's fine aside from his grabs being buggy and inconsistent hitboxes.
-
If hellfire was his only ability then I'd advocate for it to have a faster cooldown, but Dracula has a movement and second chase ability, so no.

But when the killers have to deal with every other map in the game, which are survivor sided, they're just supposed to get good.
Most maps in the game are balanced or at least try to be balanced for both sides. Off the top of my head I can think of 6ish survivor sided maps and also another 6 for killer. The rest are mostly fair game, some maps like RPD, Eyrie, and Vecna's are '_ sided' maps that do warrant legitimate balance complaints, but for the most part I don't have much of an issue with the maps that sway in either role's favor.
-
@rysm said:
God forbid something is killer sided lol. Survivors have countless other maps with incredibly safe pallets. Just wait to enjoy one of those
Outdoor maps that are killer sided just happened to favor the killer to the point to where they're miserable to play on. Vecna's map, Haddonfield, and all Coldwind maps, spawn gens that are grouped together, sparse in useful tiles and pallets as a whole, and are mostly way too small, especially for the Dungeon and Haddonfield.
There's nothing wrong with killer sided maps as long as there's one thing for survivors to work with. If the map is small, lacking half-decent pallets, and have generators that are kissing you can't expect people to not complain.

I think Eyrie with the game's old lighting and atmosphere would be pretty to look at

No and hexes will go back to being irrelevant because survivors don't actually want other objectives no matter how much they claim otherwise.
Current side objectives in the game aren't worth the time investment and rarely impact the outcome of a match. When survivors ask for side objectives they want ones that can actually influence the match or give a reward like 50% more BP or something.

I wish people would stop pushing the "Jonah is evil" thing. He was a naive man manipulated into making a tragic mistake that he has regretted ever since. You don't have to like him but stop pretending he did anything bad on purpose.
As for Taurie, I think she's corny, just like Sable was, but I have even less desire to get her. I wish we'd go back to survivors who were normal everyday people. It's been fashion models and celebrities and hipsters and wizards for too long.
It probably feels like we haven't gotten regular people as survivors recently because the devs keep bombarding us with licensed content. I'm not a fan of having 3 licensed chapters in a row.

Why would you use this killer in general with how bad UVX is? "Its supposed to do creative shots" ok? That's not enough with how garbage the reveal mechanic and 3 hit uvx is
I was talking about why direct hits shouldn't be as impactful as people think they should be. That doesn't have much to do with 3 hit UVX and the reveal mechanic nor was I trying to use the Unknown's projectiles as a way to justify the state of those aspects of his kit.
-
@sanees said:
they should increase detection time and start counting direct UVX hits (seriously this killer gets punished for direct hits their ability)
The point with Unknown's projectiles is to use their AOE and bounces creatively. If direct hits did anything super meaningful then why play Unknown over other killers like Huntress?

Do people forget Counterforce is a perk that belongs to Jill? Saying "run Counterforce to combat this build!" is essentially saying pay to have a chance to win.
-
Why are people still using "rulebooks" as talking points. If you want to kill the last survivor instead of giving them hatch and they whine about it in EGC then who the hell cares? Close the chat and move on to the next game.
-
This is just a list of things you don't like survivors doing.

Chucky needs to be right at the top with houndmaster hes a buggy mess.

Sorry you can't handle High MMR. Maybe get good instead of blaming an Offering.
When it comes to maps that are balanced for both sides like MacMillan, the result of the match often comes down to the skill of both teams. But when I'm playing Pig against a 4-stack that sent me to Eyrie, or solo queue against a Nurse on Midwich, there really isn't much you can do.
-
I wouldn't have an issue with map offerings if every map was balanced like Macmillan and Azarov's. A big issue with current map design is the devs prioritizing aesthetics instead of actual gameplay. Toba Landing and Vecna's maps are ones that instantly come to mind. They're nice to look at but the gameplay is miserable.
-
I also agree with removing perk tiers. They made sense back then when the game was new, when the game had less perks and the bloodpoint gain was lower, but now perk tiers are completely pointless. Their only purpose right now is to fill in the gaps between prestige level rewards.
Shrine of Secrets should include at least 16 perks instead of 4. 8 for Killer and 8 for Survivor. Like perk tiers, this made sense back in the day when there were less perks in the game, but considering the fact that we're nearing almost 300, both sides included, there needs to be ways for new players and players who are returning to the game to unlock perks quicker.
This may be an iffy suggestion, but all original characters released in 2018 and earlier should be free for all players.
A good chunk of offerings should go too. Common and Uncommon offerings for individual bloodpoint categories should be retired and the Rare version of these offerings should be relegated to Uncommon. Like the Moonlight and Splinter offerings, mist, luck, and IMO chest offerings should all be retired.
-
I need to see Fatal Frame or TVD in this game. I don't care if its a skin collection or a full on chapter I want it all of it.
-
Considering the boots on the cosmetic have their texture back to normal, this makes me think the removal is intended, and if so I feel like they should issue refunds.

BHVR killers stats.
So you're practically basing your information off of nothing? Kill rates don't detail anything that goes into them. Unless the devs go into the specifics, because quite literally anything and everything in this game can cause those numbers to fluctuate, there won't be any substance to them other than being a number next to their respective killer.
But hey, what do I know? The average player must be insane with Sadako if she's managing to maintain a 67% kill rate across all MMRs!

You are proving my point. These content creators are comp players with thousands of hours on her. The average player is a bad Nurse so she is not broken or a problem for the game.
Where are you getting you’re info that the average Nurse player is bad with her?

If she's so easy to play well, and so OP, why does she not have the highest pick rate and highest kill rate?
Stats don't lie, most people cannot play Nurse.
Her pickrate is low because not everyone finds nurse fun to play as nor is everyone looking to play killers that are very strong. This was a horrible "gotcha" question.

It affects the hitboxes of certain killers far more than intended. You can literally be touching Demo's model but because you're crouched the actual hitbox will miss you.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRkOESqVSfE
I know this is an old clip but it still holds up today in terms of how this works. Demo literally slides off of the Survivor on the second shred without hitting them just because they crouched. It's crazy how hard this tech screws over Demo specifically.
Then the hitbox should be accommodated for certain killers. Just gotta count on the devs to not destroy hitboxes as a whole.
-

It's getting more and more well known by the day. It doesn't even necessarily require elevation changes, crouching and moving left or right slightly makes hits that would hit an uncrouched survivor miss due to how the hitbox is set up.
The killer it affects the most is Demo, who isn't anywhere near an S-tier killer either.
If Hug Tech is unacceptable then this needs to go too.
It doesn't even necessarily require elevation changes, crouching and moving in a direction makes hits that would hit an uncrouched survivor miss due to how the hitbox is set up.
IIRC crouching survivors have a smaller hitbox compared to when they're running or walking. Good survivors use that to avoid being hit by killer powers. I don't see a problem with this since you can still use your power on a survivor whose crouching and not on a lower elevation than you.

The killers that are most affected by this have their cameras locked vertically during their power. Billy, Blight and Demo mainly.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3838912#Comment_3838912
Kind of asinine advice. Crouch tech nullifies some killer's powers to a borderline broken degree and shouldn't be a thing.
Then it should be fixed by letting those respective killers have less vertical restrictions when using their power. But even if it isn't fixed I don't see it as becoming a huge issue since Blight and Billy are still S-tier killers along with the crouch tech not being well known at the moment and also requires specific elevation changes for it to be pulled off.

Survivor mains want devs to balance around solo queue, and when killers get teammates they want them to balance around the killers being organized and in discord together?
So which is it, do we balance around solo queue average player? Or are we balancing around a well organized team playing with discord?
Survivor and killer are completely different roles. Two killers teaming together in 2v8 isn’t the same as 4 survivors on comms.
-
From what I've seen, you can counter the crouch tech by looking down while attacking.

Right, but my point is, you don't want to play that version. You'll play it for like 3 games and realize just how awful it is, and never touch it again. Just watch a video on old DBD to see how broken so many things were,
- BNPs that just finished the gen immediately
- Moris that didn't need a hook to be used
- Killer shack having 2 windows and 1 door.
- Literal infinite loops everywhere.
- 7 blink nurse.
- the list goes on.
Not everyone cares for balance especially when it regards a game mode and not the base game. A lot people want old DBD as a game mode because they find the unbalanced aspect of it fun.

This is literally the only game where having bad connection is beneficial. You shouldn't be able to queue for matches if your ping is consistently higher than something around 160ms+.

Notes:
The list is ordered from best to worst. Yes I'd rather verse SM and Xeno over Oni.
F Tier: I could rant on and on about why I dislike Chucky so much but the main reason he's so low is because his power being easy to use while simultaneously being stupidly oppressive. His player base also has behavioral issues and I would place him lower than twins for that but the only reason I don't is because the match typically ends pretty fast. Twins is a huge mistake all around. The concept of two killers coexisting in the same match pioneered a new design for killer powers that we haven't seen before, but the execution of it, at least for Twins, was horrible.
D Tier: Trapper and Myers are the definition of weak ≠ fun to play against. The most effective counterplay to Trapper is to have someone follow him around disarming his traps, but as a solo queue player that just simply isn't happening. Going down by basement instantly guarantees him a kill as well. Most Michaels now use tombstone, tuft of hair, or both. I don't think that needs a real explanation on why that's uninteractive.
C Tier: Dracula unironically would be mid B-tier but the people who play him and his current cooldowns hurt him severely.
B Tier: Pinhead is my most polarizing killer in terms of how fun they can be. For me they're generally a 50/50 split of either "I want to get out right now" or "I could play this match out all day". Teammates not knowing when and when not to solve the box definitely takes him down a few notches.
A tier: Billy has always been recognized as a survivor's favorite killer to verse for a while and it still holds up. Every Billy I've gone against since I came back is ridiculously good at him and just so happen to be veterans of the game and very kind players. I really can't name a time when I've had a bad interaction with a Billy main.
S Tier: Blight is no doubt my favorite killer in the game to verse and would be at the top of my list if it weren't for the fact that a lot of survivors struggle horribly against him and a lot of people who play blight either play him like their life is on the line or have an ego problem.

No. Sometimes survivors will 360 more than once, and sometimes the killer doesn't notice the 360 has started until after they started holding down the M1 button. Also, the bug doesn't always trigger, so the killer is usually better off just going for the hit and risking the bug.
Because as I said before, if a 360 isn't triggering an aim dressing bug, then it should never work on a mouse user with a decent DPI, because the killer spinning their camera would hit the survivor even if the killer had no idea which direction the survivor was.
The proper solution would be for aim dressing to wait for a positive hit validation before altering a killer's attack or camera.
So if the survivor is spinning more than once why not just back up and swing shortly after? I do this all the time someone attempts to spin me and it works 100% of the time unless I somehow make a mistake.

Here's a video, with a mouse and keyboard overlay, that proves the proximity checks are separate from the hit validation checks. Notice the game forbids the killer from lunging, and the game yanks the killer's camera, but then doesn't give the killer the hit.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3826423#Comment_3826423
If you 360 behind a survivor, and it didn't trigger the aim dressing bug, then the killer should have been able to easily hit the hit by quickly spinning their camera in a 360 motion while the lunge is happening, because the game would have stopped the lunge and the camera movement when the survivor got in front of the camera.
Can't you just stand still to avoid getting 360d?

I'll give them an easy one to start… Make it so charging hellfire while walking doesn't slow you down so much. It hinders it from performing as an effective anti-loop like PoTD when it slows him down so much. Not a big numbers tweak, but enough that it feels on par with PH.
There's a reason hellfire isn't on par with PH and it's because he has two other abilities to work with in his kit. Why the hell would anyone play PH when they can just play Dracula with a buffed hellfire, mini wesker, and a mini spirit to fall back on in case he somehow makes a mistake in chase. Thank god forum users don't work for this game
