I hope they buff the ######### out of both of them even more, especially Dracula because I'm tired of reading about how overtuned this or undertuned that his abilites are. Like please Devs, actually make him S-tier overtuned… I want there to not be a single shred of doubt that Dracula's gameplay rivals that of Nurse and Spirit. Position him to be an undisputed S-tier killer.
6/10 bait.

If we can have guy with knife/machete remixed 50 different times then we can have Sadako and Kayako existing in the same game.

looking right at him sounds fixable but the game also has no way of knowing if you the actual player is actually seeing his precense.
I'm not a game developer by any means, but Unknown's mechanic works perfectly fine and isn't buggy by any means. From what it seems like there really is no reason why Ghostface's reveal mechanic is as broken as it is now.

I just leave it here:
Blink — Screech — Hit — Blink — Screech — Down.
What's with the Dracula again? :)
Using Nurse as a counterargument doesn't really work.

Solo queue for the most part was never perfect but I can definitely say that playing solo survivor before SBMM was stupidly more tolerable than now it is now.

They do that. Killer perks sees play, nerfed to near unusability in under 3 months. Survivors perks meta for 6 years, maybe give them a rework, just as strong but a different effect.
This is almost always the opposite.

correct
auxiliary rings→training wheels
What training wheels does survivor let alone either role have?

I'd rather end the match as soon as I can. How is me slugging out a player who doesn't want to participate any different from them suiciding on hook or me tunneling them out from 3+ gens regardless if they wanted out or not? The match is still going to be in my favor and it's going to be unenjoyable for the other survivors.

Then it's time Devs stop ignoring the constant DCs and go next meta and actually make changes by removing attempts on hook
Then people will just go AFK or hand themselves to the killer. Avoiding the actual reason why the majority of people are DCing will hurt the game in the long run.
-
I'd rather a give up option.
-
Same reason why killers don't stagger after falling from a height.
-
Forced Hesitation and arguably Deadlock are horribly designed perks in terms of game health.
-
The easier fix would've been to disable collision after prolonged idling. Gotta count on the devs for doing everything but what was suggested though!
-
I can't even discern how this list is properly ranked because there is so many things going on. My focal point being Trapper to be considered the least noob friendly killer compared to killers like Wesker and Blight which is just objectively untrue.
-
200!

It's just entitlement. People have decided that the only games worth playing are ones where they win in the way they want to. Anything else is just "go next" , because very little has been to done to reduce the reward for match shopping.
What reward is there for lobby dodging.

Horror Adjacent depends on how close. D&D for example REALLY tows the line between acceptable and not (since you can straight up make a horror campaign and there's even a horror setting with Ravenloft, but Vecna's more along the fantastical side of things, even if he's a rotting corpse held together by the souls he's stolen and placed in his phylactery), but something like Jurassic Park, which borders along a full-on Slasher series at times, or Terminator would fit depending on which film you're taking from.
Non-horror IPs straight up don't belong in a horror game. I don't care how much inspiration the Survivor timeline of Tomb Raider took from The Descent, the IP as a whole is an action-adventure with supernatural (NOT the same as horror) elements. Even if Lara works PERFECTLY as a CHARACTER, she is still incredibly out of place and just shouldn't have been added. Though I would much rather have these than real people.
Even if Lara works PERFECTLY as a CHARACTER, she is still incredibly out of place and just shouldn't have been added.
This is an argument that I see so many people use and it never holds up because it crumbles into itself as soon as we look at the survivor roster. Most of the original survivors in the game have nothing horror related to their lore or character yet they still manage to find their place in the game because there is more themes to this game than horror.
-
I wonder how shocked a player from 2017 would be if they were told Nurse's Calling fell out of the meta.
-
I think it's generally outdaded. Bloodlust 1 is fine specifically for killers that lack chase power, mobility, or map pressure as a whole. In an era where maps are smaller and tiles are weaker, tiers 2 and 3 are necessary.
-
It's really about the tone and mood than the genre it falls under. Even though it isn't horror, a franchise like John Wick would be more fitting for DBD than a movie like KKFOS.

Scratched Mirror is the single most fun thing in the game.
It's only fun if the Myers is going for jumpscares instead of actually trying to play. And even then it's not that fun because matches either drag on forever or are over in 5 minutes.
-
All you have to do is to know when and when to not cleanse.
-
Because they aren't perks that are meant to distract the killer. Afaik it's meant to be a slight drawback from using the perks.
-
Billy, Pinhead, Unknown, Doctor, and very good Blights.
-
Seeing people in this game be appreciative of a good survivor/killer is such a rarity. Players in DBD would rather hold a grudge and BM when being outplayed than use the match as a learning experience to improve their gameplay.

Okay sure.
I dislike stealth killers and stealth as a mechanic in general, I do appreciate how they make the matches tense and require my SWF to actually have good comms, but Chucky is diff in the sense that he's tiny and to my knowledge his indicator isn't very reliable like GF cloak or Myers breathing, feel free to provide insight I am open to getting better.
I dislike how tiny he is, feels similar to Sadako but worse as far as mind-gaming and keeping an eye on the model while looping.
Finally, I dislike his M2, I'm okay with it going under pallets, I'm partially okay with it curving, but it's way too spammy and feels like trash if you're not at a good loop chain.
Oh yeah and he feels like a magnet for emotional players.
I'm curious as to what you mean by emotional players. I think I have an idea of it but I'm not sure.
-
Zanshin Tactics is definitely getting nerfed. On most killers the rework is gonna remove any ability for a mindgame or even a 50/50 and is going to guarantee a lot of hits.
-
@danielmaster87 said:
I don't think survivors have ever had base gameplay nerfed, except for warping to the other side of the pallet. Ironically they still warp into the pallet stun animation, just in a different way. Bloodlust and Entity Blocker, I consider killer buffs. Map size/pallet count reduction, I consider map changes. The only thing that came close was when new survivor running animations were proposed, because they made more sense with how survivors run and turn, and survivors cried until it got undone because it made 360s hard to do.
Because nothing spells unfair like losing your ability to rob a killer of a point-blank, deserved hit. Why not disappear off their fov in .2 seconds? That's what other self-respecting games do, right? Combined with aim dressing, and killer's inconsistently pea-sized hitbox, it simply helps survivors express skill.
People still complain about 360s in 2024?

It is insane how much value it gives but new survivors desperately need that perk honestly.
It’s definitely overpowered whether survivors like to admit it or not, if it wasn’t; it wouldn’t have an over 30% pick rate. I got my first ever four gen chase the first time I ever used it.
High pick rate doesn't equate to being overpowered or being in need of a nerf. Pain Res has a high pick rate yet the perk is strong but still perfectly fine.
-
I don't pay too much attention to them but the devs do a good job with matching a voice to a character and making them sound distinct. Sound design is a difficult thing to perfect but it has always been one of DBD's strong suits.

His hellfire hotbox is fine. It’s just as wide as Pyramid Heads PoTD and can’t go under walls nor can it go as far.
If the width of it is the same as PH's then that's fine, but the visuals of the actual attack should be at least changed to properly represent that hitbox.
-
Hellfire hitbox needs to be reduced and Bat form needs to be worthwhile, there's a lot of changes they can do to make it worth the use of it.
-
I like him but I don't like the people who play him.

The game has color blind modes, even if it doesn't help you, the fact remains that 99.9% of people using reshade are not doing it because "it makes the game look better" they are doing it because it gives them an advantage over players who don't use it.
Explain the advantage.
-
I wonder how many killers run 4 gen perks and still blame gen speeds for losing.
-
An 8 second stun is overkill. As someone said in a previous thread, I think her power being disabled shortly after a pallet stun would be a preferrable change. Something like 4 or 5 seconds would be nice and make pallets viable to play around.
-
No?

I could say that about the survivors too, when they hide for hatch instead of do gens. So now what?
When a survivor is hiding for hatch you are still able to play the game. This isn't the same?
-
Fatal Frame or Vampire Diaries.
-
Don't get why they keep dumping their money on things no one had issues with.
-
I kinda like it but i wish the noise during it was turned down. It makes it so hard to hear everything else that's going on.

Next patch will have 10 seconds longer hookstates, to mitigate the strength of proxy camping a lil. Buffed a few low tier perks that genuinely cant hurt getting a buff (like Deception, the strongest perk getting a buff is Wiretap going from needing 45 generator charges to 36 charges (50% to 40%). And the rest is similar small numbers being changed so they can be used more often
So a bunch of perks that no one will use (besides Flashbang) got number changes, and a hook timer change that will affect no one besides campers is being added. Sounds super survivor sided.
-
Explain what buffs survivors got this patch.

A buff is a buff. And survivors got more buffs then killers
Survivors got number buffs to perks that no one was or is going to use.
