New Killer: "The Guy with Flaming Chainsaws"Power: Flaming Saws
The killer can carry up to two chainsaws at base. By holding down the power button for 4 seconds they charge a melee swipe. If the power button is held past this time ( by 1 or 2 seconds) they raise the saw and can throw the chainsaw a moderate distance. Survivors struck by the flaming saw suffer form the "On Fire!" debuff that prevents them from performing any actions other than extinguishing themselves. If survivors don't put themselves out within a short window of time they will be downed. While "On Fire" survivors that touch pallets will ignite the pallet, permanently destroying it.Perks:
Fire and Fury - Your lust for violence is so intense that it consumes all. When in a chase for more than 60/45/30 seconds press the action key to greatly increase the size of your Red Stain for 10/20/20 seconds disorienting and confusing your prey.
"No escape, no mercy."Pyre - All of your surface hooks sacrifice 3/6/9% faster and give a noise notification when another survivor gets within 2/4/6 meters of a hooked survivor.
"You will all burn."Hex: Hellfire - Each sacrificed survivor is merely fuel for the fire. For each survivor that has been removed from the match receive a token. Each token grants the following
10% faster action speedTier II:
15% faster action speed
1% faster movement speedTier III:
20% faster action speed
2% faster movement speed -
Fair point, how about flaming chainsaws then?
-
What about exploding chainsaws?

I would prefer chainsaws. But to each his own.
Why throw chainsaws when you could throw pipe bombs?

Claudette was alone and needed a matching person, so Adam Francis happened to get in the fog.
Jake was there for her first and has been there longer than Adam. You won't sink the ship!
But Claudette will obviously go for Adam cause his coat is so perfect
Well if Claudette's a lost cause then I guess I will just have to ship Jake with Kate once the American Flag shirt drops for Kate. Then they'll be the only American Flag wearers in DBD.
Wait, what am I saying?! #Cake for life!
Cake sounds cute but I would never be able to accept Jake and Claudette together, Adam Francis and Claudette are meant to be no matter what anybody tells me. It just took the developers a while to realize it and add Adam to the fog
They have two traits in common. They are both black, and they are both smart. Not enough for me to start shipping them together.

Jake the survivalist and Claudette the botanist, it is just a combo too good not to ship!!Cake4life
Jake keeps his friends off the hooks, Claudette keeps her's off the floor. They're meant for each other.
As a bonus, Jake's perks help him sneak around while injured which lets him save himself just for her.

Weird, I play both and there will be times where a Doctor tunnels me and my conscious thinks ", Come on man, I am a Doctor main too." Of course, that is immediately followed by the incredibly obvious realization that they're doing nothing wrong and just actually being a killer.Eight said:That's the great thing about being a 50/50 killer/survivor player - I feel completely justified in ignoring everyone.

Why not? If survivors stick around doesn't that increase your chances of getting a 4k?Orion said:This was in the base game and Survivors used to needlessly stick around to farm points. I don't want it back.

Let's lock the hatch based on Lightbringer. If you didn't help fix the generators you're not getting in. That will encourage the hatch campers to try and open the gates.CoolAKn said:The hatch is rather situational. In your case, it seemed like the other survivor believed they and you were both going to die if they tried rescuing you, so they decided it was better for the killer to kill 3 survivors rather than all 4. The hatch is not a useless addition, because sometimes survivors find themselves up the creek without a paddle so to speak, and the hatch is there so that at least one of them can escape, but even that doesn't always happen. Sometimes it's one person doing all of the generators, and their 3 teammates are off getting killed by the killer. Should they be denied the chance to escape when they clearly earned it? The hatch does need to be changed up a bit, and should require players do a certain amount of things in order to access the hatch, maybe they have to get at least 2 bronze emblems or something like that for them to interact with the hatch. I do agree with making the hatch harder to access (easy for those who actually try to play), but disagree with removing the hatch all together. In a lot of instances, altruism is what gets survivors killed.

D a r nOrion said:It's actually around 2 seconds with Brutal Strength 3, but yes, the Killer loses a bigger chunk of time than that because the Survivor can keep moving. Regrettably, as this is a bug that negatively affects Survivors, it'll be fixed pretty soon.

@JoannaVO I just realized, something critical to our little debate. There are (at the time of this post) more Claudette players than any other type of survivor. So, if the total number of Claudettes is greater than the number of Jake and Adam mains. . .
. . . doesn't that mean that there's plenty of botanist to go around?

Who actually runs Hangman's Trick?CoolAKn said:@BACKSTABBER said:
remember it takes 180 secs for hooks to be autofixed, sabotage is fine nowOr 30-10 seconds if you have Hangman's Trick.

@pemberley You want to know when slugging goes too far? Okay, there are only three instances where slugging goes too far.
- You cheat and slug all four people at the start of the round and let them bleedout
- You specificly target one player over multiple games and slug & camp them with the sole intention of ruining their experience
- You repeatedly attempt to slug all 4 players and it's not working but you keep trying anyway, creating some weird half stalemate. -
@TatsuiChiyo It comes down to two things
- perks
- cosmetics
Adam's perks rely on him not being targeted to actually pose a threat. If you get tunneled they can waste Deliverance and even hinder Autodidact. Heck, even Diversion gets countered by tunneling. Them tunneling is the easiest way to remove a potential insta-heal medic.
Adam also has some nice cosmetic choices. Some of his coats are bright, but he has at least two that can be used to boost his camo abilities. It's like the Claudette camo situation, you're better off killing them first so that only easy to see folks are alive during the hatch search.
-
If you're gonna de-rank either way, the afk route is the lesser of two evils. While it won't let survivors get the full use out of all offerings (White Ward, Oak, etc.) The free time gives them a chance to get a refund of sorts.
As for what killer to use, I recommend Doctor as you can just stay in treatment mode and act as an Objective BP fountain. This will Max their BP sooner and get them to leave faster. -

That feature is in the game right now. After a purchase the prompt "Equip" will be in the lower right hand corner where the buy prompt was.Silas said:Agreed. Or we should be able to at least equip owned cosmetics from the store. Two things:
First off, shouldn't this post be in the wishlist subforum?
Secondly, why not just ask for an option to select what menu music you want from a drop list in the options list. That way, the individuals that actually enjoyed the Clown's theme can listen to their's while you can listen to yours, huh?I don't think anyone ever enjoys The Clown's song, but sure, it would be nice as an option I guess.
You would be surprised. I won't lie, I initially liked it, but after a few months, I grew to hate that accordion.

@Kilmeran While I won't guarantee the usefulness of all of my tips I will say that most of this knowledge has helped me get around.
Lery's Memorial Institute
Most people hate this map and avoid it at all costs, I for one actually enjoy the map and have noticed some navigational tools within the level. I have a guide about the facility in the Community Guides subforum so I'll try to keep this brief.
Once the exits need to be opened the fastest way to locate the exits are to run to the edge of the map and run around the perimeter. Keep an eye out for the flickering red exit signs as they will let you know when you're almost out.
There are yellow and blue flickering signs for the two special rooms in Lery's. What you'll really want to pay attention to are the wall symbols. There's a blue one for the shock therapy zone and a yellow one for the office. So the easiest way to escape Lery's is like this:
1.) Look for a wall symbol (Blue or Yellow)
2.) FInd the room they represent (Treatment Theatre or Office)
3.) Check for the basement.
4.) After finding where the basement is, stay far away from there.
5.) Fix gens anywhere you want to, just make sure you run away from the basement. Once the doors are powered open one and bail. The Game
Another map people hate, which is a shame as the indoor maps really break up the monotony of the outdoor levels. To survive the game you must know these things:- The Basement will always spawn in a bottom corner
- If you see a closed door, a generator is nearby
- The hatch will always spawn in the bottom half.
- There are multiple exit signs above some doorways that lead you to the actual exits once the light fades.
All you need to do to escape The Game is keep an eye on door positions. If there's a particular area you think you might need to access open the door with a generator.

Hi, Jake Park main here. Let me inform you that Saboteur is most definitely not a clutch perk. Sabotaging hooks can be an effective strategy, however it is far from perfect as it actively punishes the saboteur every step of the way. First off, sabotage takes time, a lot of time. You need to thoroughly search the entire map to ensure that all hooks have been broken to 99% and you must get all of them or suffer heavy consequences. Then there's the clutches. Saboteur can be effectively used in two ways. You can sabotage hooks right as a killer tries to hook your allies, or you can mass sabotage hooks for a three minute grace period. The first scenario, the save, is potentially damning because if the killer tunnels you your team is screwed. (All of that sabotage time would have been better spent on generators)McCree said:@Orion said:
The game is intended to be balanced around 4 perk slots. Introducing more for both sides would break it, given how powerful the Survivor perks are.Did u not read what I suggested? It would make it better for everyone. And it's not like just the survivors would have extra perk slots.

Here's a list of the survivors perks in 3 categories... initially thought I'd make just 2 but some of them are questionable.
If by any chance they make extra perk slots. They could easily have the perks made into 2 categories and make it so u can use just 2 of those super powerful perks at most.
Imma try to make a Killer one as well just to see how they balance each other.
As for the grace period, that's simple. Each broken hook creates a notification for the killer. So once one side of the map starts exploding you can bet your shards they're gonna beeline straight for you. If you get caught before the hooks are all broken it's also very bad for your health.
All in all, it can be a decent perk, but not enough so to that it's on par with SC and DS. -

@Eveline While I haven't played Friday the 13th I do believe that it is a risky choice. Since the campers can kill Jason expect whole new tiers of toxicity. Then there's the voice chat. . .
Honestly, given the high price tag I would recommend you avoid buying it until there's a sale. -
The ranking system needs an overhaul and they need a casual mode (that gives points). Doing this will solve most of your problems.The_Daydreamer said:Is it so rare that a survivor main calls for survivor nerfs? uff, this people.
I dont have that problem against swf, even tho its still annoying.
I understand that swf is a good for the game. I like it too to play with mates, etc. But with VC its really annoying. Perks are getting useless and buffing speed, reducing paletts isnt something that fix this problems.
And buffing both sides its a bit stupid, because of the ranking system. Like I said, casual not high rank players have already a big problem. If they have a buff/nerf-system that is based of the ranking system, then we can talk about buffing survivor/killer again.Maybe I am wrong with "nerfing swf" because not high rank players suffers too hard. But the ranking system needs to get improved to fix this problems.
