Don't actually like idea of shipping in dbd in the first place. Survivors terrified, since they always being hunted. They slowly losing hope, since no rest and escape for them. In short moments of silence near campfire they probably healing their wounds, or just sit there in silence. Cause, most likely they saw how other, not so lucky ones were killed again and again. Or, maybe, they trying to forget the feeling of being chainsawed in half. Or, they turning around and trying to avoid eycontact with person, who they left behind in previous trial, since they was to scared.
Whar Iam trying to say, they don't have freakin time or mood for this! Calm down, shippers.
But don't you see? It is the survivors bonds for one another that stop them from losing hope altogether. How else could anyone endure the sheer volume of torture that they experience in every trial?

    "Why not?"

  • If you main Hag like your icon suggests you have an additional option at your disposal. After downing a survivor pretend to place a trap on them. This bending down will mimic the animation and lure out the blinders. Then use this opening to scared them off with a well-placed hit.
  • @Eveline exactly what rank are you experiencing the lack of competence at? I am competent, I just have a rough time getting to green thanks to my so called allies.

The hours I find to play this game I do tempt to play killer more often (and thus Hag) yes. After 1,000 hours of the survivor, it gets quite boring to just find me in that side.

Well if you ever get a little tired of Hag and are lucky enough to get the Mine or Warehouse levels of the Macmillan Estate you can just place all of your traps around the mine or warehouse generator and know that you've nearly given some poor bloke a heart attack. In fact, when the Warehouse has the basement I find it VERY helpful to fill the entire warehouse with traps just for fun.

Oh yes, I've had the mine once and since I always use Thrill of the Hunt and Ruin together, I had two totem spawns that were literally next to each other, on the side of the mine, and I had my basement there too. Just put all the traps there, barely had to do anything and the 4k pretty much walked in my hands.

When I was grinding for the "Triggered" achievement I literally spammed traps in the alcove with the generator. It was quiet almost all game. Once they got to the 2 Generators left part of the match though someone unleashed Ragnarok. I then did the same thing to a harvester Generator on Coldwind Farm and I actually traumatized some poor Meg.

Lol I always put a lot of traps near generators when I have this add-on that does not spawn a Phantasm when the trap gets triggered and it's sometimes hilarious when somebody gets on a generator and just gets grabbed off out of nowhere. I definetly have the most fun with Hag

I just want to trap the heck out of one generator and record the trap activation. Maybe edit in some funny music as 4 hags stand up and stare down the tresspasser.
  • Maybe, if I see people say it's good I'll consider it

I mean, I think it will be good. But I will wait a short bit after it releases until I buy.

Dull Scythe (Uncommon) - Slightly reduces plants on map
Iron Scythe (Rare)- Moderately reduces plants on map
Steel Scythe (Very Rare) - Considerably reduces plants on map
Iridescent Scythe (Ultra Rare) - Removes ALL plants from map.

Looks pretty good to me, how about you?
  • To pip as survivor you should get 2 generators and 1 safe hook rescue. Provided you do that and don't die with 7 minutes you should gain 1 pip.

I would highly recommend shadowborn instead of monitor as survivors will be using your humming radius anyways. Also how is your success without ruin I find games go to fast without it.

But Monitor & Abuse will shrink my TR and with my cosmetics and the fog my location is harder to detect. Not to mention the reduced TR makes Nurse's Calling very nice.

Yes, let's make windows and pallets useless because you can just be instantly grabbed off them, sounds amazing, LOL.

Making this change would not make pallets and windows useless. It would simply punish players that didn't fear the killer and stayed at the wrong side for too long. It would encourage breaking LOS and winning chases as it would make a single mistimed vault more punishing. This makes sense to me as 1 killer should be able to quickly catch a survivor. Granted it shouldn't be instant, but no one survivor should be able to loop the killer all game regardless of their skill. There is no "I" in team survivors must work together to overcome the killer.

    @Peasant
It's ok if some survivors don't fear the killer, this game should allow any kind of playstyle. It's great to have different personalities.

I am afraid I'll have to disagree with you in this regard simply because of how the game is designed. If one survivor can be a hero, they all can. We simply should not allow 4-man groups of heroes to exist.

  • Okay, first off you're gonna want Barbeque & Chili ASAP. The Nurse's blinks help her make great use of this perk. The next perks you'll want is probably Nurse's Calling and Monitor & Abuse. Monitor and Abuse will boost your FOV helping you spot survivors while also shrinking your TR which will, in turn, give you better use out of Nurse's Calling. As for the final perk, I would recommend Hex: Ruin or Sloppy Butcher.

Now onto blink techniques. The default Nurse has only 2 blinks. When searching for survivors in the trial feel free to use both blinks. Once you spot someone though, use the first blink to get in close. Then use the second blink for the kill. When you decide to try using three blinks only use two for travel. Save the third blink for survivor hunting.

Now there are certain strategies survivors will use to evade you here are the counters I know of.

Stealth: The Nurse's Greatest weakness is stealth. If you use Monitor and Abuse like I advised you'll be able to get closer to the generators before they know to hide. Exploit their lack of preparation time and find them using your extra FOV size.

The Charge: Blinks cannot technically be canceled. This is why once you raise your hand some survivors will run towards you so you blink through them. To counter this, look straight down. The Nurse cannot blink through the ground (excluding when you're above the Basement or on the second level of the Game). So next time someone charges you just look down and then lunge out.

Unfortunately, that's all I've got. Hopefully, others will lend you a hand though!

My advice is to try playing between 6.00 P.M. EST and 6:00 P.M EST, @Melomanas. Between those times I have the shortest queue times.

But the chance of SWF teams increases too around that time, not sure which of the two is worse D:

It's better to face SWFs than to face no survivors at all.

  • This was an idea I had a while ago. The problem is the Plague Doctor set fits too well with two characters. The Doctor would do a Plague Doctor suit well due to him being a Doctor, but the Clown could also make a very nice Plague Doctor due to his tonics. It's a hard decision on who should get it honestly. Personally, I'd just say to heck with it and give both of them suits but it's all up to the designers.

  • @JoannaVO said:
Very nice of the killers who are willing to do this.

While I don't always play the killer, the gratitude is a nice change compared to the salt.

  • @Eveline said:
So it's a win-win for a killer when you start the game like that, and no one has a problem with it?

Eh, just seems like tough luck to me. Besides I usually keep a stockpile of items on my main so that when I lose something I can just walk away chill out and remember that I have at least 2+ more copies of that item.

Not to mention that there are also a good number of killers that will spare you when nonsense like this happens. Heck, several weeks ago I was in a game with one of the infamous Infantry Belt + Iridescent Head Huntresses. She spared us all because there were only three of the four survivors. For the most part, even when I'm killer I'll go easy on the survivors and try to avoid actually killing anyone.

  • @Eveline The way I see it is like this, do your best for a solid 5 -10 minutes (average match lengths for a rank 11 peasant like myself). If after this time the game is still going and nothing has happened, don't DC but hook suicide. Granted this dooms whomever you're leaving behind but that 's not your concern. You joined the game for a relatively short match. Heck, you might have stuff in real life that you actually need to do so just summon the killer and suicide on the hook.

  • I won't lie, every time I start up a game of Hillbilly and find out it's Haddonfield or Lery's I want to disconnect. However, at the same time, I've been queuing for a while and the four survivors had to wait through a loading screen. Not to mention that everyone has spent bloodpoints on offerings that no one can refund. It would be irresponsible and immature of myself as a host to immediately quit and steal their items and waste both their time and mine.

Speaking of offerings, if you can only play on certain maps, why not use the map offerings? If you truly "main" Freddy Krueger than it's very likely that you've already prestiged him so the "Rare" tier map offerings shouldn't be too terribly hard to acquire. Just food for thought.

  • I can't stand Pigs. The RBT mechanic is a load of nonsense. If you are gonna kill me just do it already. I'm so sick of this "slow down gens" nonsense. I have it said on my Steam profile and I will say it here: ", You trap me and you'll get a kill, but not before I get two gens off." Why don't you come and kill me in person rather than wait for your stupid toy to do it, huh? I'm just waiting for the Saboteur buff that'll let me break the trap without a key.
  • Got me. I've adopted a "Cool killers don't watch the last sacrifice" attitude myself.

Glad to know I not the only one who respects the dead.
  • akbays35 said:

allow survivors to sabotage hooks while survivors are still on them, this would give another option against camping and tunneling and give another useful approach for sabotage.

If folks were smart and sabotaged all of the hooks to 99% at the beginning this would be a buff. However, I do know what button you would give this action as M1 would lock onto the unhook.
  • Eight said:

    No, no, no, no, no.

Jakes cannot be trusted to perform a simple save. I don't want to be minding my own business on the hook while one of these fools is trying to save and sabotage at the same time. You have 4% chance of unhooking yourself. You've got a 2% chance of a safe hook rescue from a Jake.

I have the scientific evidence to prove this.

I will have you know that I am a master of safe hook saves. At the very least, if I have WGLF and I am at your hook with the killer I will just take a hit and then run away.
  • Gorvak said:

Something like "If a killer stays within x meters of the hooked survivor for x amount of time, other survivors gains x% in their repair, heal, sabotage actions, reseting the time to trigger this after x sec" or "if a killer stays for x time within x range of the survivor, the sacrifice will be worth half points, reseting the time to trigger this after x sec (then the bloodpoints of hooking, summoning and sacrificing will be only added after the sacrifice happens or the survivor is unhooked (by itself or others) and add a buff for survivors sacrificed outside of the x range, making the buffed risky sacrifice awarding more points than now and the safe sacrifice awarding less)."

The point of this is because the ridiculous killer who does it, specially in the first hooking, destroys the game for everyone. The ones that are safe doing gens, dont get so many points, the survivor hooked, gets basically nothing and even the ######### killer gets almost nothing, but he still manages to recover, depending on the speed of other survivors.

The killer who does it, mostly in the beginning, spoils the game. Makes it a true loss for everyone, not because the survivor will die, but because no one will get enough points, so a solution should be devised to avoid this behaviour the most and those are my ideas.

P.S: The killer losing time meanwhile the other survivors fix the gens is not punishment enough for this ######### behaviour.

    This is a joke, right?

The term "facecamping" is outdated. With the inclusion of swivel unhooks facecamping is now no longer possible. So what you're really complain about is "hard-camping".

The thing is, you have no right or reason to complain about hard-camping anymore due to the tools at your disposal. First-off Borrowed Time and Kindred have been around long enough that I shouldn't have to mention them. Both perks distinctly help you and your team deal with campers. On top of this both perks are freely available cross platform with Borrowed Time only requiring a teachable grind on PC. Then very recently the developers have buffed unhooks so that you have invincibility until you regain control which in-turn let's you activate a Sprint Burst or Dead Hard once rescued. On top off all of this is the fact that camping is only rewarding if survivors reward it. If you're camped buy time, if your friend is camped, rush gens. You have such an enormous arsenal of counters at your disposal that to ask for more demonstrates a level of ignorance I never thought I'd see in my life. Adapt, overcome, evolve. Learn how to beat camping yourself and stop asking big brother Mathieu to solve all of your problems for you. You have multiple solutions to the problem already, test them all and use the one that doesn't get you killed.

The reason I hate other ppl healing me is because I've gotten killed by being healed too many times. It's annoying that you can't force ppl to stop the heal action. Many times I've been in a situation where I have seen the killer coming straight towards me while being healed. And what can I do? Wait until the person healing me stops, more often than not leaving me injured right in front of the killer... And off to hook we go... So no thanks, if letting friends heal me has a high risk of me getting killed, I'd rahter do it myself

You CAN stop the healing action, though. By running or holding the run key you will deny all healing actions. This applies to when you're downed as well as injured.
