Then you shouldn't be able to see what I bring into the game. I can see your perks once dead...big deal! You see what everyone has equipped (med kits, tool boxes, keys) before the match even start and can act/build accordingly. So what if I see that you have iron grasp and nurse calling once I'm dead ?Mate, currently items are fine to see. Since all items use the same model per type the killer has no clue what in Sam hill you're bringing. You could stack four crappy common toolboxes and trick the killer into wasting a perk slot by bringing Franklin's Demise. They can't tell if your flashlight came from a Walmart or the Military so not everyone will use perks to counter it. Once they introduce unique models for each item is when the fun begins.

@The_Daydreamer What've you got against swf? Nevermind stuff like that's probably personal. Anyway, SWF isn't going anywhere and here's why:
Long ago in a distant past, SWF didn't exist. However, many survivors wanted to play together online. This led to one friend joining a lobby while their other friend(s) frantically joined and quit lobbies until they could all by sheer luck end up in one lobby. This badly affected wait times and in general was annoying. So the great and all-powerful BHVR created a system that lets survivors queue together in a group. The result? Now survivors can choose whether or not to group up with friends which helps keep people in lobbies. However, while some players sought unity for casual games with their friends some saw this tool as a weapon and attempt to use it to bully killers and solo-queue survivors to this day.
SWF is a good mechanic and a fair one in most cases, it's just every now and again you see survivors with SWAT team coordination and toxic behavior that ruin it for everyone else. Don't nerf SWF, buff everyone else to handle it.

@OrionQc24 While I appreciate the concept for a new game mode, I have some qualms. The most important one is the lore. Is this fire just a generic fire, or is it The Campfire (where survivors wake up after escaping a trial? Secondly, how would the match end? You mentioned rekindling the fire, would that entail that there is a set amount of firewood needed or am I mistaken? Finally, if the fire is the only objective, wouldn't that enable camping? Just a few concerns of mine.

Wait how does camping help with BBQ tokens ...
They will usually go for the save at the end.

Two things:
First off, shouldn't this post be in the wishlist subforum?
Secondly, why not just ask for an option to select what menu music you want from a drop list in the options list. That way, the individuals that actually enjoyed the Clown's theme can listen to their's while you can listen to yours, huh? -
No. How about you actually keep track of the survivors or hook them?

Yeah, people who complain about Dead Hard in a No Mither build are just entitled and/or spoiled. Look, the guy is likely to drop very quickly so an extra 5 seconds is nothing to complain about. Heck, No Mither folks get tunneled, if anything they deserve the second chances as they need them.

Tbh I find it a dick move that instead of one discussion showing new perks. You decided to do one each to show nothing but your posts on this section...
I apologize that this upset you. I assure you my intent was not to spam or block out other users posts. I just didn't have all of the ideas in my head at the time of conception (hence the different times for each post). Then there's the fact that, as you mentioned, apparently editing a post twice is spam. Therefore I had no choice but to make multiple posts to communicate my ideas.

Honestly just hindred. Then you got that third seal buff lookin lit
I said all debuffs, so removing just Hindered leaves us with:
-Exhaustion
-Blindness
-Hemorrhage
-Mangled
-Broken
I think there's another one but I honestly can't remember.I forgot broken was a thing. It could use a cut too.
There, now the original post has been edited to reflect these suggestions.

Umm. Look. They have their own ideas though. I mean... making stuff up is the easiest part. You know how many of us have these revolutionary ideas, inventive new perks, ideas for new killer/survivor/map...
Implementing those, that's the real work. Most of us actually don't know how to do that.
Sorry, I know I'm a downer, but am I wrong here? You're not wrong BHVR does need new people and more people overall. However, I am rubbish at math so I can't really help them code these sorts of things in. The best I can do is think of how perks interact and help them brainstorm.

Thank you for noticing. I figure if I make enough ideas then eventually some will sound good enough to integrate into the game. That saves the development team the time spent on making new ideas. All it leaves is the task of balancing and coding as well as art for the icon. Of course if they ever want to make new chapters with these then they'll need new characters, but that's what random name generators are for.

You're used to getting and having your way. When facing another player at melee range you can push them a short distance. During the push, they have no collision with other players. Shove has a cooldown of 60/45/30 seconds.
"Move!"So you go through someone basically?
The idea is that by pushing someone you force them to do a Dead Hard dash in the direction you're facing. The lack of collision with players during the dash allowing you to quickly pass through them in the event that something goes wrong. It will also prevent you from shoving people directly at the killer as human shields (though the killer can still hit them).

You work best alone. When there are no other players within an 8-meter radius you have a bonus to all actions of 3/6/9%. For each player within this radius, you lose 3/2/1% of the bonus. No mither no problem suggested the same perk. The problem is gen rush, as everyone splits up (doing gens solo is more efficient). This would perpetuate that problem
Really? I had no idea @No_Mither_No_Problem had already suggested this. This being said this wouldn't perpetuate gen rush nearly as bad as that one special killer offering. You know what shroud I'm talking about.

So in summary @Jack11803 You want a Pharmacy Buff that would look something like this:"You have a knack for finding medicine. After searching a chest a second search can be performed to obtain an item of common/uncommon/rare rarity. The first chest search of each chest on the map guarantees and Emergency Aid Kit for each chest. Each time you search a chest you will regain 33/66/99% of your held medkit's charges."
"Adrenaline, it's going to keep us awake. I stole it from one of the Nurse's carts." — Quentin Smith
Unique to Quentin Smith until Level 35, at which point its Teachable version can then be learned and taught to the other Survivors.
More like, you search and it drops 2 items. The normal drop, and a pharmacy medkits. So if you search all three, that’s 3 extra medkits. Kinda like a pharmacy distributing stuff. A completely seperate bonus bro g that with these searches, if you ALREADY have a medkit, it refills it too. (Still drops the extra aswell. So basically each chest has two items.
Now all you have to do is repost that in Wishlist under the title Pharmacy Buff.

@Jack11803 Eh, I am just brainstorming ideas for the developers. Not all of them will be good.
-
This perk buffs Hex: Ruin, the second most used killer perk. How is this op? *He said sarcastically*
-
It was planned to just give +1 skillcheck. The bonus skillcheck wasn't intended to grant another bonus skillcheck.
Though now that you mention it perhaps it could be better designed like that. It would just need to keep decreasing the size of the skillcheck for each success until you only have greats left. Obviously the perk tiers would affect how significant the size decrease would be. I will edit the OP to say that soon. -
You're right. + 10% speed would make a running surv as fast as Hag running. I am going to tweak that real quick.Jack11803 said:Buffing raw movement speed isn’t a good idea, and if it ever happens, should only be a maximum of 2-3%. Remember it can stack with hope. (You’d be faster than cloaked wraith without add ons)
-
Well because it shrinks the size of the good skillcheck zone on the second skillcheck that might be easier than you think. Then again if the killer runs Unnerving Presense you are in deep trouble, especially with the tier 1 and 2 variants.

For every failed skillcheck you gain a token. Each token increases the skillcheck success zone grows slightly/moderately/considerably.
"What doesn't kill me will make me stronger."
Why not make skill checks reward more?
I wouldn't make skill checks be worth more as the aim of this perk is to make it harder to fail. This way, new survivors (or those who just struggle with skillchecks) have a way of learning how to hit skillchecks a bit safer.
I'd say it's balanced rn as this helps for nearly every killer except Freddy Krueger, whom it screws you on.
Btw, when I say increased success zones, I am referring to the good skillcheck zone size.
Ah, well anyway it should be a generic perk. People would be understandably angry if this one one of three teachable for a chapter. Good perk idea though

How to properly use Saboteur:
By a Jake main.
Ignore generators unless your team is getting rolled. Focus on breaking hooks to 99%. Once you are confident that you have gotten all of the hooks you will need to quickly run around and break ALL OF THEM as fast as you can. You will want to do this hook purge at one of two times:
1.) There are
generators left.
2.) The exits are powered.
Doing this denies the killer all of their hooks for 3 full minutes. This makes wiggling free more successful at the trial's most critical moments. -
I have always wanted to be surrounded by Claudette's as a survivor! #Cake ftw!
My worst scenario I ever had was getting bullied by a swf as a low rank Leatherface. Luckily two things happened:
- I managed to have some fun with it.
- I instakilled one of their Sqaudettes at the exit with bleedout.
(She was slugged most of the game so when I downed her at the gate she instantly died as the bleedout timer ended.) -
This guy gets it.Spiritbx said:
Read what you said. Thats why survivors are OP with voice comms. The game wasnt that survivor sided before, but then swf with voice comms got popular. This completely broke the fine balance of a 4v1 game.TheLegendDyl4n1 said:@Peasant said:
Dead by Daylight was advertised and marketed as a horror game every step of the way. I find that Self-Care reduces the risk of being injured as I can heal myself should I get away. This makes the killer and the game a whole less scary as my mistakes don't mean nearly as much. So since Self-Care removes the worry, why do we use it? You paid for a horror game, don't you want to be scared?if im in a SWF i dont usually run it since i can tell my friends where to heal me or they can tell me what gen they are on so they can heal me. the problem for me comes down to if i dont run it when i run solo, which is 99% of the time ususally, then i fear i wont be able to find any other teamates before the killer comes around me again and then they will find me due to my crying. this is why i started running No mither, Dead hard or sprint burst, resilience, and Were gonna live forever (when i am done getting points i will switch it for DS but now i am planning on running deliverence)
The game isnt balanced around you always getting healed up, thats what the OP is saying in his post, that it ruins the survival horror aspect of the game.
Not knowing if you can find someone to heal you before the killer finds you is scary and thrilling.
AKA the power of the meta perks and SWF is ruining the initial appeal of the game. -
Repost this in Fan Creations.

Nope. The Entity is god and should never have the chance to lose. Therefore it cannot be playable.
