Sorry but you are both wrong, SWF can easily call anything out to each other (how many totems are left is just one of them) this change would make solo que a lot more fair and there's nothing fun about finding out the killer has NOED and there was no way to keep track of countering it.

There is also nothing fun in getting a bunch of free information simply because "hey why not".
SWF messes with the balance of this game but giving all the information you could ever need makes every task feel more and more brain-dead.

I’d argue there shouldn’t be map Offerings at all.

Considering the game has a way of taking you to the same map several games in a row I'd argue map offering are the only way to keep your sanity at times.

I don’t like this idea, it is just feeding me information. There is no effort needed as a survivor. I play solo survivors and I like that surprise when killers are running certain perks.

As survivors we are given a lot of information as it is.

Exactly. I hate that I can tell when the obsession is being chased since they make the emblem around their name move...Why do I have this information? I didn't play this game to be a running/hold this button simulator but to have chases and try to hide from a killer OR to be the terrifying killer and hunt my prey.

The Hallowed Blight cosmetics were great, and I am really looking forward to the Holiday themed ones, but please make them feel special. Sell them for cells during the event, and let us grind a couple for free, but after that, remove them from the store. I love the art and design on so many skins you guys make, but for events like these it would be great to leave just a few of them to the players that were here during that event. Even if its just one skin that remains legacy.

Well for anyone who is spending the holidays with family or is on vacation wouldn't that just suck. No I don't believe they should be removed. I think the way they did it with the Blight event was "ok" allowing us to at least grind a few before they all just became locked behind cells. I've no doubt they will eventually (temporarily maybe?) become available for shard purchase again.

After the dedicated servers arrive and the game is well optimized, then I really hope that Behavior will invest into many more employees.

Because the current rate of updates for the game is unacceptable to me personally.

I think the amount of updates are fine its just the quality of the updates isn't always what the community wants or the game needs. I feel like sometimes they get it right but in the next patch they take 3 steps backwards.

Lets also not forget the insane amount of bugs...I think Bethesda would be proud.

It's not busted. The rank resets just happened.

It is busted because the seasons are too short and "rank" means nothing given that anyone at anytime can be any rank, even without using the SWF exploit. I honestly don't know why they have yet to address for the past 2 1/2 years how horrible the matchmaking system is. They don't even have basic systems in place to prevent people from de-ranking/disconnecting, its absurd.

Doing something counter-intuitive like purposely de-ranking just to be able to play the game is IMO a sign that something is very wrong with the system.

    @TAG
Wrong, it's a sign that something is very wrong with the community. It's like playing any game and choose the easy mode.

No its that the system is wrong. Since there is no penalty for de-ranking on purpose people will do it. The system is at fault for allowing such a thing to exist considering nearly every other online game with a rank system has something in place to stop this. This should have been fixed within the first few weeks of DBD's launch.

Although I do not like the current hatch mechanics we have in the game, not allowing the last survivor to escape via hatch would make it nearly impossible to escape at all. If you have a RBT on your head and are the last survivor remaining it would be impossible to remove that trap should the killer find you. It would also be very difficult even if she didn't find you as hiding around the box waiting for the killer to leave so you can try your luck would most likely result in dying. As I said I find the hatch too easy of an escape in its current state but think it would feel horribly unfair to someone with a RBT on their head if they had no means of escape.

(Figure now's a good a time as any to wade into the forums)

Maybe I am mistaken (and admittedly possibly biased as a Pig main), but I think the circumstances that need to occur for this to happen are less likely than one would think. You need to have already had a RBT placed on your head and then have your teammate die/escape (assuming there is only one other teammate left) before you can check any/some of the boxes. Unless this happens very quickly, I would think a Survivor would still have enough time to get the RBT off and go for the Hatch (or gate, if that happens to already be open), provided they aren't already actively being harassed by Amanda.

I've been writing down a bunch of ideas to try and buff Amanda that wouldn't result in a complete overhaul. As far as RBT vs. Hatch, I would want to see the RBTs snap upon attempting to jump into the Hatch but with a few adjustments to give the last Survivor a better chance at getting that trap off:

    1) The amount of time to search a Jigsaw Box is cut in half for the last Survivor.
    2) Good Skill Checks on Jigsaw Boxes count as Great Skill Checks for the last Survivor.
    3) "Bag of Gears" and "Crate of Gears" lose the ability to raise the search time on Jigsaw Boxes when there is only one Survivor left.

This exact situation happens a ton. I always save at least 2 traps for endgame so I can slow the teams escape (should we get that far). Often in SWF groups the team will leave so the last guy can try to find hatch or since that other person has a RBT on their head I will hunt down the remaining player(s) first since I know that person will be busy finding a box. It isn't uncommon for the last survivor to have a trap on their head. While I would like them to not be able to escape via key (although they could still abuse this by simply jumping in last) I do think regular hatch still needs to be an option.

With all that said the current hatch mechanic is flawed and far too skewed in survivors favor (or forces a horribly boring standoff). I hope it gets changed but I'm not holding my breath since its been an issue since day 1.

In regards to changing how the RBT works for last survivor I would love to see something like that if hatch escapes are removed but I highly doubt they would take the time to change RBT's mechanics. BHVR doesn't like to make changes that involve a bunch of coding for a "small" change.

    Because I earned that kill.

Having a RBT on the last survivor isn't "earning that kill". Sure you had at one point knocked them down but until they are hooked again that kill hasn't been secured.

    And yes, explain this.
Its like Blizzard make a new Tracer trailer and Tracer has the ability from Widowmaker.
    Its totally weird.

I can't really complain about the wrong survivor being used as Legion was never really after Jesus in the first place. Really the only connection Jesus (Jeff) and the Legion have is the fact that they like the same hangout and Jesus once did a painting for them.

As for the "kill" itself I do find it odd that they make it seem like he is blending in and then getting that cheeky back-stab, but I guess they are trying to show that they take pleasure in toying with their victims?

Honestly I agree its odd and frankly it makes no sense that Legion managed to one shot David since at best he should have gotten a inconsequential hit followed by a few t-bags from David.

What's up with this insane difference? Xbone is a one x, ps4 is launch edition. Both tv's are identical Samsung 40" 4k with exact same settings.

I find this odd because I own a PS4 and yet my screen looks like the one on the left. I do not suffer things being bright but rather the complete opposite. On most maps things have gotten so dark that some survivors are completely impossible to see. Thanks to the fps/motion blur this is even worse.

  • I really don't think Franklin's needs a buff but if you must then keep its current function and maybe add a short timer of X seconds that the dropped item cannot be picked up. Honestly the perk does exactly what it is intended to do and that is make survivors drop items.

  • @Jago said:
Ok so I got a lot of hours as a killer on this game, and seriously I don't understand why this perk is still in the game.

It's not fun for anyone, it just gives an illusion of winning for the killer (to compensate the fact that you did nothing for the entire match) that gonna take back the game just because of this perk.

I'm playing solo survivors sometimes, and recently, each time, killer is camping / close patrolling and using Noed.

    Ok, to each his own.

But, when looking closely to it... Is BHVR creating the feeling of insecurity for their killer base players ? Don't get me wrong I'm not talking about the 10% good killers that know what they're doing. But the mass. Thats what they mean by "the entity is fed by strong emotions" ? The subtle creation of inferiority complex and frustration for the people getting unconsciously addicted to this ? (generating toxicity).

And this results for the opposite side taking DS / tbagging. Because why not fight toxicity with toxicity right ? And the train goes on... Killers gonna cry, camp, "blablabla survivors rules"... getting answered "lel ez noob" etc etc...

I'm kind of getting tired of this game, I feel more and more this has been designed for 8-12 years old disguised into adult content using the "horror" atmosphere.

Am I alone thinking this game need a really deep change to be enjoyable ? Or do I just have to play civilization ?

NOED counter- Break 5 totems and get points for doing so. Simple to do on most map (The game and Lery's are easy too once you know all the totem spawn locations)

DS counter- pray you are close enough to a hook to juggle the player, rewards no points and not guaranteed to work. Also impossible to tell who has DS aside from the 1 obsession.

One of these perks has a simple counter that rewards points, the other perk has an extremely situational counter and offers no reward.

I sure have, and i don't know if any of you have noticed, but it isn't down to a glitchy matchmaking system, as that would slow survivor ques too. The reason is all the recent survivor nerfs / killer buffs. Constant complaining from a lot of killer mains has led to these changes, and sure, they may seem fair for killers, but the game should be unfair for killers. There's 4 players on one team, and one player on the other, so you need only 20% of players to actually want to play killer to get an even waiting time and fast ques. Instead killers just complained and complained, rather than trying to get better at the game, and now we have a bunch of idiots playing killer, no one playing survivor, and a broken game where no one can play how they like. Even if you think the killer is playing bad because they are camping disconnecting from the match to "not give them points because they are bad" isn't the answer. If they are bad they won't get many points and won't get far in rank but trying to justify rage quitting via disconnecting only makes you salty and in a negative mindset pushing you to disconnect anytime you think something is unjustly being done to you.

Disconnecting is not the answer. Live, die and learn.

It's a better answer than having the entire team die to someone who camps, also ruining an experience to 4 others.
And it's a better answer than no answer.

    Don't give bad killers points.

And yes, here comes some killer mains that are going to say how it's somehow your fault if you got camped which makes no [BAD WORD] sense.

Actually the problem with your post is that you are telling the OP to simply DC. If he/she does that then they will negatively affect everyone on their team. Disconnecting should have had a punishment ages ago because this is the sad and sorry excuse people are coming up with to "justify" such an action.

If you can't ban people, give them a timeout from the game for a day after a person dc a certain amount if times in 24 hours, do something. It's frustrating, dc rates are insane

Although I cannot confirm this I do believe the surge in disconnects from both Killers and survivors is due to the new graphics update. Many people have been complaining about match performance (especially on the new map). As a PS4 player myself I know Disconnects are high since we currently have no punishment system (honestly cannot believe we still don't!!!) but I think the increase is due to the poor performance issues the new graphics patch has created.

People would still buy cosmetics for the better skins but they wouldn't feel as ripped off because they got the 4 people that were advertised over the past few weeks.

2 people is hardly a legion

Pretty much. The OP really only has a case because those 2 names were attached to a store item. I'm fairly sure the complaint would still be there if it weren't those 2 specific skins(like if they were just masks which shoots down the OP's complaint), but since they chose to make the 2 named people something even extra to buy, it gives the OP a reason to be able to be complaining even though it 100% is just a cosmetic that you were never guaranteed to get.

Actually they named 4 people confirmed to be in the Legion so I really don't understand why they didn't add 4 basic skins to the killers default roster. They could then add the "upgraded" cosmetics in the store all they like. As it is right now this "Legion" is simply "The Couple".

You literally just repeated what I said. Had they simply had 2 extra masks that really didn't need to be different from the others that much, the OP wouldn't have a leg to stand on with this dumb complaint. However, this is still silly in that I'd really like to know why Freddy doesn't have all of his movie powers in the dream world if you're going to say this is the couple not the legion. I mean he was advertised as Freddy not some guy who runs around and scratches people. Part of the implication of it being a Legion is the sprinting is more supposed to be that you are a group on the map rather than 1 person.

Actually your comment was aimed at tearing down the OP for no reason and I simply pointed to the fact that they should have had 4 default skins because they announced Legion as 4 people not 2.

Also no the Legion did not get their name because they...sprint....they got their name because they are a group of killers and not an individual.

Also how does Freddy's movie powers have anything to do with the correct defining characteristics of the group called Legion?
