  • A. Men.

Absolutely superb post and I couldn’t have put it better myself. A tad confrontational maybe, but refreshing.

I’m a serial solo. And sometimes you get camped, tunnelled, and moried. Sometime it’s just a slaughter. And that’s great! It’s rough! The game should be brutal! It’s survival horror!

  • I really like this thought experiment. It's a thought experiment. I don't know why people are taking it so seriously.

Yeah. It would be boring. Obviously. That's not the point of the experiment.

I say underpowered. A 110-er (permanent insta down m1 or not) is very easy to loop. PWYF would instantly be meta and camping would be a nightmare, but overall a weak killer.

Still tiered higher than Legion or Clown though.

  • I made a thread about Kindred addiction a week or so back and it got a good response. I even went so far to say it's the only S-Tier survivor perk. I really think Kindred should, nay, must, be embraced by solos like us. Its just that good.

  • First of all, I’m very happy a ticket has been written for a vulgar person. Lets’ hope they are banned. Any mouthing off in post-game chat must be dealt with severally. Rubbing it in is one thing, but... no words.

I think it’s normal to get angry. Whether we admit it or not, we’re emotionally invested in the game. If we feel that anger rise up be it from killers playing in ways you don’t like, or obnoxious taunting from SWF, we must remember that mantra: “it’s only as game”.

It’s. Only. A. Game. I hope we all remember that.

Oh it is over specialiation. I suuuuck at running loops, so i run a kindred, we'll make it, empathy build and use the last perk slot for anything extra. I am basically a gen fixing ambulance. With so much info I can move around the map doing all the behind the scenes stuff while the decent loopers keep the killer distracted. 95% of my hook saves are safe and I'm never on the gen when the killer goes by. So much potential when you mix in a last perk like prove thyself, for the people, solidarity, deliverance etc...

Ah I see. I'm more of "midfield" survivor myself. Battle-tech I suppose. I can loop for a good minuet or two if I get in the zone. Iron Will for outlandish jukes, Adrenaline for pushing the last gen and some wild escapes, and the fourth perk... DS? DH? Whatever I fancy.

    @Paina said:

Kindred saved me or my team mates many times from an insidious basement camping Bubba. But that's not the only reason why I use it. I hate to leave a gen to run across the map just to get to the hooked person at the same time as another survivor.

In the past 6 months or so I've only had a really nasty camper once. Ghostface got me in the Rotten Fields basment - t-bagging and not knowing the other three survivors could see him. They escaped and I died smug.

Kindred is much better for the latter example. Like you say, you could waste a good 15 seconds being beaten to the hook [or waste 15 seconds of someone elses time] and then running back to your gen risking yourself in the process. It's a hell of a time loss, hurts the whole team, and can come up multipule times in the same trial.

    I'm addicted to it to. My build now even in SWFs is this;

Borrowed Time for last minute saves / Kindred for obvious reasons / Bond for obvious reasons / Open handed because this perk makes aura reading so much better.

Interesting! I would've thought Kindred would be a wasted perk slot with SWF. Whenever I check perks post-game I always assume Kindred = solo. I guess Kindred and comms would make coordination super effective, but I wouldn't know. You do make me want to try Open Handed again though...

I'm right there with you buddy, and if you pair it up with Empathy it's pretty powerful. I could give a looooong list of how many victories Kindred has given me and the teams I end up with but I think you have underlined it all pretty damn perfectly.

Y'know what, I tried it with Bond but I never tried it with Empathy. I always felt it would be overkill. But I did a few matches just now (along with Open Handed cuz, y'know, in for a penny in for a pound) and it is fun! Makes me feel like some sort of mastermind especially if the killer is using hit-and-run tactics; but IDK, feels a bit like "crippling overspecialisation". But I'll keep trying!

  • Agreed. I think this is an excellent tier list. It’s too bad the tier list format doesn’t do perk synergy justice, but that can’t be helped.

Maybe the list a touch generous though? The key one is Spies from the Shadows. I tried it as Spirit because the notifications can proc from the spirit world, and even then it wasn’t very good. Did they buff it recently and no one told me?

Bitter Murmur, Stridor, Iron Grasp, Unrelenting maybe a few others could go down a peg or two, but I get the feeling the list is supposed to represent tiers more “equally proportioned”. My own tier list would be more “bottom heavy” if you know what I mean.

Except Blood Warden. No love for Blood Warden? I’ll admit it’s not a “good” perk. It’s situational as hell and most of the time doesn’t work, but when it does, there’s no better feeling! It’s a massive guilty pleasure of mine and I run it when I’m feelin’ saucy.

  • I got all of them but really busted my balls doing so. Some of you guys are absolute machines!

Freddy and Spirit were the easiest [1 or 2 attempts] whilst Hag was the hardest taking DOZENS of attempts - and I did it before the ruin nerf. I shudder to think how hard it must be now, but the same rule applies: just hope they cleanse Dev Hope and 3rd Seal and don't find Ruin.

I only 3k-ed with Huntress and Nurse, whilst Billy and Clown were only ruthless 4ks that still got me the cheev. With Ghostface and Leatherface I got lucky with some yellow ranks. As for Demo and Oni... they had survivors who were AFK. I feel a bit dirty admitting that.

As for Plague - I 3genned. Next to the Doctor I feel her 3gen game is very strong. Plague was the only adept I got where a survivor actually congratulated me. That was really nice! ^^

  • One time when I was running We'll Make It, I rescued an Ash when the killer was nowhere near and Ash just ran away - and Dead Harded as he went.

Y'know what? Some folk aren't worth healing.

  • I got about 1200 hours [720s, 480k] and it's very clear to me the killer "side" needs to be thrown a bone or two.

Buffs for the weakest trio [Bubba, Legion, Clown], reduced map size, will happily trade banning keys for banning moris, etc

  • I'll confess I didn't know the Wraith was black. I thought he was slavic and I'm not sure where I got that idea from.

  • I’m over 1000 hours played (650 as surv) and Myers still scares me. I often find I make very silly mistakes against him. Like this one time on the meat plant – and it turned out to be Otzdarva.

But I couldn’t tell you why. Maybe it’s the staring. It does make me appreciate Halloween much more though.

  • What if the animation only played when the other three surviors were already dead, or on hook?

  • 34 [and I actually had to stop and think about it]

  • It always breaks my heart to think how amazing this game could be without the toxicity [and the DCs but that's a sub-issue of toxicity]. I hope the OP doesn't quit the fog.

I will say taking toxicity is one of those things that gets easier the more it happens. And it happens every other match - anyone who has ever actually played killer can attest to that.

All the rest of us can do is try not to contribute to the toxicity.

  • The hag is awesome!

I think I started playing DbD *just* as she got her buffs because when I got around to playing her [to unlock Ruin], I went in thinking she was one of the weaker killers. I was expecting to hate playing as her skag campy girl, but now, she’s my “bad mood main”.

I was a bit scummy the other day. I wound up on Rotten Fields. Where are you supposed to put your traps there? There’s no juicy spots like other maps. I downed an Ace in the basement shack just as the last gen popped. I was looking at a 0k and it was his first hook... Yeah... she’s the “bad mood main” for a reason.

But one of the best Hag games was one where Devour Hope did its job perfectly. The Hag is great for Hex guarding (appropriate given Hexes were her big contribution mechanic). I killed this Meg and then I ate three prestige Claudette’s. The last Claudette just finished a Gen and you could even hear the hatch! It was right there!

What a match. Don’t believe me?

  • @Peanits said:

That would be very cool to have, though I feel like it would be a jumpscare when I'm playing killer. (Not like that's a bad thing.)

Lol. This is fair enough. Survs are supposed to have the jumpscares not killers! XD

Also, most surv DCs [in my experience] happen while you're *carrying* them. So to have the entity instantly burst up *right next to you* might be a bit earrapy.

So okay. How about this: DCing puts the surv in the dying state for 2 seconds - and then - splat. Killers will know it's coming.

I can now forsee killers watching that glorious animation and wasting some time. But then again, the remaining survs have just lost a teammate, so the possibility of a few seconds repree might even help the situation.

This idea just gets better and better the more I think about it!

  • This idea is brilliant!

I always doubted killers would see the auto-sacrifice at all (3 mins is a long time), but if the sacrifice triggers on a DC, that animation won't be "wasted". As a further bonus, all remaining players get a jab at selfish DCers.

It's rare that an idea on these forums gets this much support.

At least I made myself chuckle

  • Agreed.
In some of my killer inventories I have the Coldwind Farm offering which i will never, ever, ever use. They just get in the way. If not a recycling option to combat the grind, at least a delete option?

I find this ironic. Considering Joey exists.

    Oh damn! Lol. My bad
To be fair I made this before Susie and Joey were "things". The wiki didn't even have a good photo then
Maybe I should change it to "has black freinds so not racist".

  • I’ll put my hands in the air and confess. I feel the same way.
I’m actually very ashamed, but it’s just the way it is.

DbD is a naturally competitive environment and at least some part of us is invested in that. We want to be effective, or at least not be a drag. And it sucks if you die several games in a row (or are first to die several times in a row) or if all the survivors get away. You let yourself down and are open to (at least partially) deserved criticism.

Not everyone feels that, but those of us who assume the worst and are a bit “rough around the edges” might see things a little differently. But do you remember how good it feels, when you escape with a purple item and lotsa BP? You got the best score of the four? Or when you slaughtered the prestige squad?

This game is absolute gold! Far from perfect but what a riot! The lows are low, the highs are high, but it doesn’t matter. It’s only a game. It. Is. Only. A. Game. Maybe that irrational part will listen eventually.

[off topic but slightly relevant] And I think what a lot of people forget is in order to “git gud”, you gotta practice. Practice, practice, practice. See you in the fog.

  • I really relate with this post.

Any new player will be at a disadvantage enough from the learning curve, (and) having a suboptimal loadout, (and) the BP grind, (and) the perk unlocking, (and) all that. It’ll take at least 100 hours to get “polished” enough, but all of that can be overcome and with great fun. Sadly this is all on top of other players being really bad sports in a 4v1 situation and leaving you feeling like “what is the point?”

It’s a problem every reasonable person in the community acknowledges. Playing killer in particular is damn stressful. The best anyone can say is if one wants to see a reduction in toxicity, don’t participate in it. And we’ll just have to be the best antidote we can by setting a good example.

I do my absolute best to be as decent as possible, but secretly, I see it as penance. I was no saint in the Unreal Tournament & TFC days...

Out of curiosity: I see PLENTY of players using "fox" in their nicks. Much more than any other animal, and both here in the forums and when I'm playing. "Vietfox", "Suicidefox", "Kitsune", "狐狸", and a lot of other nicks I've seen using "fox" as their nick or part of it.

What's this guys? What's this obsession with foxes? Why not weasels or opossum? Armadillos are cute too.

To be fair... it's a good observation.

Maybe because foxes are cunning and stealthy like survivors?

My name is a combo of Star Fox 64 and Perfect Dark. It's been my name since I was a teen on the N64.

  • I was just saying in another thread you can just roleplay as The Clown. It's a giggle!

  • Y’know what? I would still play! But stress will be ramped up for the reasons already stated. So I may need a stiff drink or two before creating a lobby.

It’s okay. I’ll just roleplay and select The Clown. If I 0k I’ll just stand by the gates like:

“I and you... friends moving with pallets, in the... the... decisive... in-”
    falls over

about the DS i think the same as you, i dont know why people say all the time that DS is op, is not, its only works good on the obsession and its just delay the chase for 30 sec more at best, the only problem i have with DS is when they gen rush, you cant waste your time, but if the gen rush get fixed DS is just another perk and useful some times and even you can miss it, not a big deal.

We're in a minority though. Maybe we deal with it differently? I dunno. I just don't see it as a big deal. And I'm also thinking about those poor obsessions that get themselves downed right in front of hooks. I bet they're not happy about that.

I have a theory that the "DS debate" isn't necessarily because DS is OP, but because some players just find DS REALLY annoying.

The DS debate is usually not about one single DS in a match. It's about having to deal with 2, 3 or 4 DS in one match.

Keep in mind that one DS can cost the killer 30 seconds easily. (If you get bad survivors who go down again after 10 seconds, thats good for you, but that's not the rule.)

And now multiplay these 30 seconds by 2 or 3. That's one or two gens' time. It's not about that getting DS'ed is annoying. It's about that killers simply don't have enough time to deal with it.

I appreciate the aleviation to map pressure DS brings. But to be fair, I run "Agitation" a lot [escpecially on the 110%-ers]. Not as some indirect counter to non-obsession DS, but just to get the job done faster. But this indirect counter aside, is taking 4 DS's in a trial really that common? The most I've ever taken is 2. Maybe 3 once or twice. And these days the DS perk has slipped further from the common build. It's not unusual to have trials with no obsession.

BUT I'm not a killer main. And this is not "yet another DS thread". I'm sorry I brought it up. We all have different experiences. IDK who's right.

I don't think stopping to say "I like/appreciate this" takes away from your argument, too. I just like wholesome stuff and I appreciate the buffs and the changes done so far. There's still more to do, but I think they're trying. Honestly the toxicity of SWF can completely ruin the experience for both sides. They go after Solo players, too, but I have no idea how to fix something like that. :/

I 100% agree. I've had SWF grief me in many different ways as a survivor. hell, there should be more survivors arguing against SWF.

And I respect the devs very much as well and all the work they do. I don't envy them for having to deal with this problem. I suppose this is more of a "headless frankenstein" sort of issue. Circumstance being the "enemy".

  • @fluffybunny said:
You also have to realize that compared to how it once was, it's a lot better. They've done a lot to improve the experience for killers and while there's still more to be done, a lot of killer mains don't even seem to be aware of the improvements their side has seen. I understand DS is BS, but you have some complaining about pallets and many who don't understand camping and tunneling can ruin the experience for the other side. They want their buffs, but they also want to play in the same exact way they always did prior to the buff with no affect to their points or their pips.

DbD may well be better than it once was, but that’s no argument for just accepting the way things are now. Fact is, there are still issues. Old issues like infinite loops and OP flashlights are before my time anyway. Their prior existence doesn’t detract from toxicity or SWF.

Though I think you may be right in alluding to a lack of gratitude amongst killers. There’s a good argument there. Very “John Kramer” actually. I’m prepared to meet halfway despite being a survivor myself. There is a lot of whining isn’t there?

[For some reason I started thinking about the faster hooking buff. I really loved that tweak. Barely a second, but feels so nice. A tiny buff really, but one I’m grateful for]

Yeah and I’m accusing you of lying. Try re-reading the post. You do not “get lobby dodged 10+ times in a row” while playing solo. That is a complete lie. Utter, utter nonsense. And killers do not exclusively dodge over cosmetics and items. That’s complete and total trash. Dismissive arrogance. And I made arguments supporting all these things. You’ve made no arguments. And you’ve addressed none of my arguments.

Also: “I stated I only play solo que and you miss-quoted.” – I didn’t quote you at all! Seriously, is this troll? I'm not talking to you directly. Stop being so thin skinned. Though I'm glad you're taking heat for this thread.

Well I was supporting the person I quoted. This is made clear by the first word of my post. I mean that’s obvious. Do you think I’m arguing with him or something?

My tirade against SWF is a response to other posts, not yours. Like i said, I was not responding directly to you and gave no indication that's what i was doing. And it does make 100% sense. I am discussing lobby dodging which is the issue at hand. It’s the issue being discussed. You’ve offered no counter argument to that whatsoever and you’ve just slung insults around at me and others.

    The problem is “actually” you.

  • @DocOctober said:
Fix the causes of lobby dodging first.

    This.
    Ffs. This.

I can’t believe we’re still complaining about dodging! How many more times?

I exclusively solo and am seldom dodged [there’s a correlation there]. But when I am dodged, I assume there was a SWF in the lobby, and I respect the killer doesn’t want to deal with that stress. Then I click “join game” again. Then I’m “genrushing” within 2 mins [it would be 1 min if some of you could just hit “ready up”! Why isn’t that an issue talked about more?]

Lobby dodging really isn’t a big deal and it’s so frustrating that a non-issue like lobby dodging is given equal attention to DCing (or the aforementioned inability to ready up). But maybe I was dodged because I or other survivors had items, or I was dodged because there were too many prestige-ed players, or something petty like that? Well, firstly I have no evidence whatsoever that that’s the case, but even if I did have evidence, it’s definately a minority of cases and not worth the text on a forum. So I click “join game” again.

You are grossly exaggerating. On the other hand, I appreciate you and your mates hate having your time wasted. It must be extremely frustrating and you want something done about it. For SWF players, lobby dodging is an issue and I respect your grievances. Okay?

But unless you can take an honest look at the causes, and don’t just dismiss the real reasons dodging happens, things won’t get better. They'll get worse.

TLDR: Yes. Although I don’t care about any survivor perks, I would definately play killer more often and with less stress if toxicity/SWF weren’t issues. As far as I’m concerned, killer mains are heroes.

Thank you for taking the time to give such a detailed response (I read everything, of course)!
It surely is an interesting topic. I'd like to see more people playing killer. :)

So do you think most survivor mains never actually play killer? Or (if not “never”) they have only dedicated less than 10% of their playtime to the killer? And it’s a lack of understanding that drives half of the toxicity?

It would make sense mathematically. In an ideal world everyone would have an 80-20 split burt that certainly isn't the case.

  • @NoShinyPony said:

    Well said!

Would you play more killer if it weren't for these things?

Thank you very much for reading! Okay. A lot to talk about:

Firstly, Decisive Strike. Personally, I don’t feel DS is OP when I’m killer. I feel it’s a situational and REACTIVE perk with several drawbacks and it costs a perk slot [and blah blah discussed to death]. However, I know a lot of killers do have issues with DS, so when I’m “survivoring” I leave it behind so there’s less bad vibes. I don’t want to defend petty vindictiveness of certain killer players, but we can at least make life a little easier. And when I’m killer I don’t “target” DS users or anything like that [the same applies for flashlights, but these days they’re really not very good anyway so whatever]

As for post-game flaming, I think this is part and parcel of the online experience. It’s a competitive environment with hyper-invested nerds with soft egos. Some are still teenagers. As players, we have the reporting button and we have the ability to set a good example, but there’s not much else we can do. If I 4k I always say “gg bl”. If I and the other 3 escape, I especially give a “gg bl” because I know how much a 0k stings.

It would be nice if we were all good sports: gracious winners and dignified losers. Maybe I’m just thin skinned? It does deter me a little, but I think we/I have just gotta toughen up. As I’m fond of saying when other players start going at it each other, “it’s only a game”.

    SWF? That’s a different story.

I don’t mind playing the “Captain Hook” to their “Lost Boys”. I really don’t! But some indication or some kind of reward/incentive will take that anti-SWF paranoia away, and a little more reassurance the toxic flaming as a team won’t happen would be great as well. But IDK what to do about it.

TLDR: Yes. Although I don’t care about any survivor perks, I would definately play killer more often and with less stress if toxicity/SWF weren’t issues. As far as I’m concerned, killer mains are heroes.

  • At nearly 400 hours, my play time is divided 75% survivor and 25% killer [and I take that very seriously]. I think most would call me a “survivor main”.

I do it this way for mathematical reasons, but I’d probably be a survivor main anyway because playing killer is really damn stressful. I’m always worried I’m going to get post-game abuse, or if I’m going against a fully armed SWF squad that’ll humiliate me. A 0k hurts and a 4k might earn you a lot of ill will. And then there’s the DC problem and “do I let that last one farm?” Urrk. It’s a nightmare.

I’ve achieved Adept with most killers and have just started learning the Nurse... urr... Oh dear. Oh God. I have all of the above problems combined with the fact I can’t blink for toffees. And I’m worried I’m giving everyone a “bg” instead of a “gg”. Stress! But those 4ks do feel fantastic though... Playing as killer, both the highs and lows are more extreme. But that gamble isn’t something you want after a hard day at the office.

When back as a survivor (exclusively solo) I have less salt towards camping, tunnelling or NOED or any other controversial aspects that I encounter. There’s no hard feelings from me [facecamping-Insideous-hits on the hook might get a frown or two though]. And I never use DS. I have sympathy for killers concerns more because they go through a lot of abuse and SWF really is broken. There’s no excuse, and as a commnity we need to have more mutual respect.

And I agree that if you don’t at least partake in “moonlighting” as the other side, you probably suck at DbD.

  • Thank God this is a "thing". I honestly thought it was just me. I forget I have moris all the damn time.

This one time I completely forgot I had an Ebony and lost them all. They were "kind" enough to point that out in the post-game chat sigh.

I dunno why I keep forgetting. I guess being the Killer is so damn stressful I just lose myself in the chase and the hook.

  • As others have stated, there is a massive difference between being a street thug and a murderous sociopath, but I don’t think that’s the reason King is a survivor. I think the reason is because King has a heart of gold. His perk “We Will Live Forever” promotes altruism and suggests something about his mentality. So even for a thug he has some kind of moral code.

As for the why, my theory is diversity. The entity wants an eclectic bunch of folk.

It is a little strange he can’t brawl proper with Freddy, Piggy, or the new crew “Legion” though. Maybe leg-sweep the Wraith? Maybe the entity saps his strength?

  • That was fantastic! "We have to pay John Carpenter" XD

    I love those videos. :)

  • I quite like the idea actually, and it’s a well written post to boot.

DS is a real thorn in killer mains sides [pun intended] and a “stealth buff” of any sort (be it real or just perceived) will be met with hostility. But hopefully the trade-off of killers not having to enduring the pickup animation only to walk two steps and then drop the survivor will be accepted against the counter of not having the option of doing that annoying juggle thing (which is no fun for anyone anyway). I think it’s reasonable!

Personally, I’ve always hated DS. I don’t want to waste a slot on a “get-out-of-jail-free” perk. There’s no guarantee you’ll hit the check and there’s no guarantee you’ll escape. Additionally, there’s a chance you made yourself a camp/tunnel target and given how toxic this community is I want to minimized bad vibes anyway. I’d rather bring Iron Will or Bond or something long lasting.

I remember one time I was the obsession [presumably a killer perk combined with a super rare case of no other survivor with DS] and the killer juggled me three time to the hook.

“Mate, I’m not packing DS and I’m sure my avatar is getting thoroughly bruised on the Haddonfeild tarmac.”

He also desperately needs an indicator noise (as with fully charged hatchet throw on Huntress or bottle throw on Clown) when the Chainsaw is fully charged. Many times I have to keep my eyes on the survivor if they are spinning to create a break and I release the mouse button to attack and it just de-charges because it was a micropoint from being charged. It could just be a 0.5 sec tone change or something.

    Thanks <3

I just finished a 1 or 2 hour session of 100% Leatherface. I just love the purity of the experience. Although I got a delicious 4k against prestiged survivors with private profiles, I also got a 0k and two 1ks (courtesy of NOED and SWF). Either I suck, or our boy is one of the weaker killers. I’m prepared to bet it’s both.

An indicator noise for a fully charged chainsaw is honestly one of the best suggestions I’ve read in this forum. It’s elegant, practical, simple, and won’t affect the high-ranking meta in the slightest. It’s also useful for his various addons that change the charge time and thus might affect your muscle memory.

And I honestly don’t have anything else to say. It’s a great idea.

Toxic game, expect toxic players. If you're asking or saying I'm one of them, I'm admitting to it, I am indeed.

If your play style is to camp hooks, totems, focus one player even when other survivors are body blocking oh.. you'll see me be toxic af.

Also if you play console no need to worry about toxicity at all, they have options to prevent random players pming you. This is also the wrong forum to be posting in.

    No.
    Wrong.
    Dead wrong.

There's no excuse for toxicity. None. As a community this should be the message.

  • I’ve had instances where the other four players put the HB offering in and I didn’t. It makes me feel very guilty.

But some of us don’t have a crazy reserve of BP. I have a character at level 50 and want to prestige them. But not before using the stuff I’ve got in the bloodweb prior (or I’ll just lose it all and be down to 1 perk slot).

So I’m grinding to get more BP to level up other characters. Sorry about that. Give me a day or two and I’ll stick in HB offerings as much as I can. I’m already half way. I really don’t think anyone’s deliberately holding event offerings back. Why would anyone do that?

  • I agree with almost all of the OP. But not all killers who are "victims" are vengeful. Also I still feelThe Pig should be on the "tragic" side.

I made a topic about this a while back:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/21377/what-are-the-killers-motivations-and-how-do-they-relate-to-the-entity#latest

TLDR; Killers have (broadly) one of four motivations

1] Forced to kill [Trapper, Wraith, Pig]
2] Coerced to kill [Cannibal, Huntress]
3] Exchange for kill [Hillbilly, Nurse, Hag, Spirit]
4] Sheer Cruelty [Evil Beings] [Shape, Doctor, Nightmare, Clown]

So i finally had one of these moments...

    • I chase someone Healthy
    • They're about to vault a window
    • But i'm close enough to hit them with a lunge
    • During the lunge, the final Generator activates
    • NOED activates and i down them in 1-hit

    This was satisfying asf.

Hehehe! That is delicious! “Tank this”

But what about when their Adrenaline kicks in once the final generator is finished? They’re in the chase, down one health state, gates power up, they recover, they feel invigorated, but then, BAM! Next time just bring Sprint Burst sucka.

I have videos of taunters at the gate not realising they’re exposed. They only had to walk but they just had to be little turds didn’t they? I hope your butt dance was worth it. On the hook you go! I’m never personal, but there’s something about that that’s so “just deserts”.

Man I love NOED, but for all the wrong reasons.

  • Luckily at the average-high ranks Nurses and Hillbillies are often played by folk who haven’t quite got the hang of it yet. In theory they should be the worst.

But for me, it’s still Myers! I don’t get it! On paper he’s a good killer, but is pure poison for me. He always seems to find me no matter what I do, never seems to miss, and I very rarely win against him. Is it just my imagination? Do I freak myself out when I know it’s him?

There was this one time he caught me within the first 20 seconds of the trial. I panicked and ran and we wound up doing a full lap of the swamp together. Rewatching the vid is funny even if he did eventually sacrifice me.

Insidious basement dwelling Leatherface is something else. I feel sad that sitting and watching survivors on a hook is “fun” for these people. I’m not against camping, but there comes a point.

Many have suggested a survivor perk that lowers entity summoning 30/40/50% when the killer is within 24 meters [Devour Hope range]. I think that’s a superb idea.

  • It makes sense The Entity [praise Her] is female.

There’s a spider motif in its “legs” during the sacrifice phase and the use of the term “blood web” and the idea of being trapped like insects and being tortured by this pseudo-god all invokes arachnids.

So why feminine? Many spiders are cannibals and it’s the female that eats the male. The Entity [praise Her] is a devourer. Devourer of hope, of souls, of people.

She is our dreadful spider god.
    Praise Her!!!

  • I think you hit the nail on the head with “atmosphere”. But let’s break it down

-I think the dev team did an amazing job capturing that horror essence. All the tropes are in play and it’s done straight-faced and sincere.

-The mind games. This game rewards wit and cunning for both sides.

-The thrill of chasing and the thrill of being chased. It’s a stealth game and a hunting game.

  • technically SWF is outside The Entity's [praise Her] juristiction. SWF is clearly a abomination and an insult to our faith.

But I disagree about offerings. The Entity [priase Her] likes those.
