It is already difficult to save with the flashlight and you developers besides nerf the flashlights and their addons that was formerly blindness from what I have seen in several videos, you have reduced the time in which the killer takes the survivor from 4.3 seconds to 3.0 seconds, changed the animations when the killer takes the survivor 2 or more times in the previous updates and this only makes it harder for a possible rescue with the flashlight.
How many hooks and pallets do you have per map? The hooks if removed come back in 3 minutes, but what about the pallets? Not! If a survivor drops a lot of pallets before they fall, when the killer chases another probably will not have more pallets or if they have been away from you.
Those unsafe pallets with opening in side construction are hit free for the killer. If the killer puts you on the hook and decides to camper and tunnel, you probably will not survive because the game is currently more favorable for the killers and their powers, the hitboxes are broken, on the other side of the pallet or window you take the same hit with the green ping this should not happen.
Hunter hitting a hatchet in the air and picks up the hit on the survivor, the nurse is the same, except that the nurse with her teleporting powers is unbalanced, you must know how to play, but even if you play against a The guy who knows how to play a nurse game is fast, especially if the guy is using the advantage of ruining.
It's not enough just this, you've given nerf to loops, pallets, generators, in fact, in several things, I see more nerf for survivors than for killers, now the question I ask of all of you who are reading this post is , is the game balanced? I like to play this game, but, we need to talk about it.It used to be difficult to flashlight save for a few weeks, now its easy AF again.
No survivor liked the slugging meta (probably way before you started palying), so the devs added more hooks to the map and nerfed sabotaging.
Am I understanding correctly taht you want every pallet to be safe?
Not really sure what you are talking about in the end, dont drink and text

DS is balanced when a bad survivor uses it.
DS is unbalanced when a good survivor uses it.
There is not a single perk that is worse than DS in the entire game.
That single use is more than enough btw.Usually one only talks about balance when "somehow competent" players are playing the game because it would be absurd to balance a game around a beginner.......
Also Id like to point out that moris can only be used once too on a surivor and reduce a life

Legion has a counter, its called spreading and genrushing.
Sure its not fun, but its actually pretty easy to executeThat's not a counter, "genrushing" isn't a thing. "Genrushing" is just survivors doing the objective if the killer can't keep pressure on the survivors. Also with them buffing legion means you need to heal but since you can't be near teammates, you need to run self-care which means there is less choice for perks.
SC was buffed btw
It wasn't a buff, it was a change. If killers are using sloppy butcher and you are using SC, you can just give up at that point.
That's why I use BK
So that would mean I should use both SC and BK and limit my choice of perks some more? I don't see the point in limiting player choice. Do you really have 4 perk slots when 2 of those always have to be SC and BK?
Survivors are not tired of pointing at all the killer perks the killre can use to counter stuff. For example you can "counter" DS easily by using unnerving presence and Enduring
Idk what you are trying to say in your first sentence. Using 2 perks to counter 1 isn't really good for the killers side either, but thankfully you can dribble or just slug the obsession if you don't want to deal with ds at that moment in the game.
YOu can only dribble if you are near a hook and even if you are within range, the DS user can simply tell his mate that you are dribbling and thanks to the absurdly long drop/pickup animation can bodyblock the hook easily, triggering DS.
Slugging has been nerfed significantly, the survivor can heal themselves even up to 95% now which makes the pickup time from the ground THREE TIMES FASTER than it used to. Also slugging (even with knock out) doesnt work against SWF
-
Seems like you use facecamping in the terminology "hard camping". Thats fine, but you should know that facecamping used to be the terminology that the killer moves himself in the hitbox of the hooked survivor and thus disables all other survivors from getting an unhook attemp, just to avoid confusion......
A killer comitting to "facecamping" surenders the game, the remaining 3 survivors can simply knock out all gens and leave the game. If you dont wanna do that and throw yourself against the camping killer, then thats your decision

Regarding your suggestion:
First of all, define "near a hooked survivor".
Second of all the chsae detection is completely broken and is thus a really bad condition for such a mechanic. For example at the tree loop in the corn, you lose chase over and over again even though you are running after a survivor within a few meters.By the way, the first PTB featured anti camping mechanics, but survivors abused the ######### out of it such that the devs had to drop this idea.
You say genrush isnt a thing, just a survivor doing his objective, but isnt a camping killer doing his objective too? :sarcastic:
-
@Faceless said:
Decisive strike is balanced by the fact that it can only be used once per game.Only this fact, and the fact that there is a hook per square meter in that game, makes the DS balanced. I do not understand why the main killer cries so much for this perk. And you can still put the survivor on the floor, to '' bug '' DS.
If the DS changes, I want you to nerf Noed too, removing the killer's additional speed. This is tense, you try the whole match for the final killer who did nothing in the match get extremely fast and bring down on a hit.
So noed and DS is balanced and have counter. Don't need changes. They are two perks that benefit enough killer and survivor
How do you counter DS? Just curious...... asking for a bad killer friend

People can already do that right now because DCing isnt punished properly, so thats not a reason against a concede option

But if you only ragequit every game you are "tunneled" (i.e. every 4th assuming all survivors are as toxic as you), then you are fine
It's not as absurdly high as you might think. The exact number is not out there, but disconnecting from a quarter of your games is a bad move.
Going back to the original post, we do punish excessive disconnecting on PC currently and will be doing the same on consoles as soon as we are able to. We are currently in the process of extending our ban system to the console versions of the game and hope to have them available soon.

There's more to it than just a "rage quitter".
You should blame them for leaving. Why, when you know whats going to happen? Not only are there hundreds of scenarios, from wiggling out, teamates body blocking, teamates with flashlights or fire crackers, to simply just wasting the killers time, actually having to pick you up off the ground, walking you to a hook and hanging you. Precious time your teamates have. Every second in this game counts. It also basically steals points from the killer, which is just rude tbh.
They get a quitter bonus.
All 4 survivors DC, you get 2,5k YES 2500 BLOODPOINTS for compensation AND lose ALL addons + the offering

We NEED this. I don't camp and generally try not too tunnel as killer but people still quit constantly. Get downed to early? Disconnect. Get downed for last hook? Disconnect. Get chased and hit? Disconnect. And as survivor, killers quit constantly. Destroy their ruin? Disconnect. Do more than 2 gens? Disconnect. Can't catch a survivor? Disconnect.
I'm honestly appalled by the amount of try hard babies on this game lol
As a PC player I can tell you that no PC player is scared to DC; the current system is a joke

Solo survivor doesn't need more tools? They have no chance against an ideal killer (Billy, Hag and Spirit. The rest are weak or OP).
Play solo survivor and play SWF and see the difference, sunshine.

So I have been playing Trapper a lot recently and I enjoy playing him, but I think there are some issues with him. One of the biggest for me though is that he is, to my knowledge, the ONLY killer in the game that can be negatively hit by his own power. Now beyond just convenience of him not getting caught by his own traps, I think this buff would open up more mindgames for the Trapper. For example, imagine that you are chasing a survivor and they head for a loop, you have a trap placed around that loop. As it is right now you have to walk around your trap and so the survivor might be able to catch on to the fact that there is one there, but with the buff you would be able to walk right through it and they might not be any the wiser and then will get caught by it on their way around.
Plus even if the survivor did know the trap was there, they would still have to avoid it while you can go straight through and you might catch them sooner on the loop.
I think Trapper needs some love and I think this would go a long way to helping him.
Trapper needs a complete rework.
It cant be real that survivors can fit beside your trap but if you take the same pathing, you screw yourself. That and SWF killed trapper for me tbh -
@DwightsLifeMatters said:
Don't get me wrong, a lot of changes are good and I know that the devs had holidays.
I'm just stating out that the PTB should have much more changes because with this speed it takes to long till we fix major issues. I expected the following:- Trapper setting up traps without picking them up first
- Endgame rework with hatch, especially the idea one of the devs explained in a live stream
- farm maps rework (see this for details: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/40510/farm-maps-need-rework#latest)
- Legion counterplay (for example: getting stunned if he misses a frenzy attack)
- obviously DS rework
- obviously freddy rework

24 games done, in 12 games the killer would hang someone and just stand there within ONE METER and camp till he was dead. Then get the next and so on.I know it is allowed but come on developers... ZERO BALANCE in this game.
The time for people to repair the generators in time (all 5) when the killer camps people is almost null. Best situation there is ONE survivor who can escape.
Either de-buff the killer big time when he camps someone so it is easier to rescue someone, or punish the ######### with zero spirit for "fair & fun gaming" by boosting the survivors.
Other then that, great game but a serious lack of content (I mean base game content, stop pushing out DLC's that should have been part of the base game) and please, for the love of god upgrade the graphics or let us use the Steam workshop to make a mod for better graphics because the graphics look like a game that was released 10 years ago.
A single generator takes 80 seconds. Camping a single survivor takes 2 minutes.

Because IT PUNISHES FOR BEING A GOOD KILLER. Its hard to understand??
And if youre with 4 randoms and you are an amazing survivor but they do nothing that survivor is still punished Youre more team dependent as a survivor.
You should not be able to do well in a teamgame if your team is horrible, just my opinion though
So the killer has complete control. If killer is good and the survivor is great but has 3 crap teammates he is still punished and killer is rewarded. That doesn't make sense. Hence the hatch mechanic. If you go to the other thread I accidentally made on the same subject, someone else made a great suggestion IMO for the hatch mechanic fix.
Yes thats how it supposed to be in a teamgame.
Because it cant be real that the killer only has control if the survivors are badBut giving one person the chance at escape only if the survivors due ok and get atleast 2 gens done isn't taking control away from the killer. Its giving a potential reward for survivors not being terrible. If the escape mechanic for 1 didn't exist this game would have %60 or higher games where the killer gets a 4k, survivors all get 10k or less bp and killer ends up with 30k or close to. I feel the hatch mechanic could use some tweaking for preventing stand offs and long drawn out games because of slugging which is what I'm suggesting however the removal of the mechanic where 1 survivor gets the potential chance to escape would result in a major drop in players forsure.
Yeah yeah major player drop..... that kind of guy you are, I see

It is stupid to be able to carry a survivor on the shoulder for 16.8 seconds if you have iron grasp guys. I just have some games that were very (and I mean VERY unpleasant) because of the wiggle mechanic.
PS: It is not necessary to buff the base wiggle timer (even tho it would be nice) you can try to rework the Boil Over perk to be a perfect counter for iron grasp (75% wiggle effects and 12% reduced time to wiggle off instead of the distorsion of the hooks that are in the proximity)
Please consider this opinion or at least explain to me why you cant buff it (if it is not possible to be buffed)I would like to ask you one question.

I feel like these 3 Killer could use some buffs, i chose these 3 because i feel like small changes for those 3 would make them a LOT better. Trapper:-Starts with 2 Bear Traps, one Bear Trap is removed from the map to compensate.(Buff)
-The ability to quickly reset disarmed Traps on the ground. (QoL)
-Escaping Traps is now a fixed channel, affected by perks and addons.
(QoL, i think that affects both sides positively) Wraith:-Increase the Speed Burst to 1.5 seconds OR increase the Uncloak movement speed to the point where he can consistantly get close hits in the open with his speed burst after uncloaking (Buff).
-Is now completely invisible outside of 32m range (Buff / Affects SWF the most). Clown:
Travel speed of bottles increased
(Many maps are painful for him because of slow travel, especially when multiple options or a lot of cover is involved)Movement slowdown and attack cooldown upon throwing is removed.
-Gas now affects pallet vaults
- Red Stain is removed while intoxicated or the Clown is within the gas himself.
Trapper sure, but he will still be trash after that
Wraith, interesting
Clown, yes to everything except the pallet slow vault. First of all such an animation doesnt exist yet (too much effort for BHVR lul) and 2nd it would be too strong probably. The other stuff is fine though

I understand that as with most games you would want the game to be balanced and everyone treated fairly. This does not occur when survivors are tunneled or camped. Anyone that disagrees with this can see the lack of rational thought in a survivor getting hooked and being camped and tunneled to the point where they only get 3k of bp and lose a PIP or even worse. In the higher ranks of this game you think you would see more skill, instead you see more campers and more tunneling, which in turn requires survivors to equip more stealth perks just to balance out that part of the match which then hinders the ability to have other perks that may help with generators or healing or even simply escaping. Theres simple solutions to these issues, create a perk or just a part of the game where if the killer remains within a certain distance of a occupied hook without giving chase to another survivor he is stunned for a duration or blinded for a duration. Or if he has remained in the vicinity of a occupied hook when that survivor has been rescued he is then stunned or blinded. Tunneling is primarily the same hook issue, if a killer chooses to only hook a certain person over and over it wouldnt matter if the previous solution was implemented. Everyones issue is simple, we dont wait 4 minutes to jump into a game we may not get the chance to enjoy and may end in another 4 minutes. Issues like this put this game in a easy 2nd place to any other new games that come out with similar gameplay and I for one can't wait to see another company do it better and actually listen to their audience.Camping = Killer securing a single kill and donating a free escape to the 3 remaning survivors
Tunneling = Killer doing his objective efficiently, just like survivors dont stop repairing after reachign 66%
Also its not the killers buisness to give you a pip or BP.

On ps4, a full swf squad takes literally an hour. If killers don’t like swf, just bring mori’s. I don’t see the big deal.Moris are quite expensive, considering how common SWF its impossible to have a mori ready for every SWF

I'm sorry but if you think communicating with your team is cheating thats just incorrect. Thats like saying call of duty with friends is cheating if the other team isnt using mics. Or Overwatch, or Friday the 13th etc.

Lmao Yeah, no. If you use chat outside the game, you're basically cheating, and people don't like being cheated.
We don't know if you are until we're in the game, but most SWFs do use outside help.
So why on earth should we have to roll the dice on if we're going to get cheated out of a fair game when odds are you are going to cheat us?
What's in it for us? Why should we have to put up with a difficulty spike?
It's getting to the point where I have to roll the dice on if a SWF is going to be filled with #########, sweaty tryhards, and/or people using outside chat. And don't get me started on mixed rank SWFs where you aren't even the same color in rank, and letting the higher rank prey on lower rank killers. I'm not saying you and your homies pull the bullshit I mentioned, but too many others do to instantly have the trust of the killers that dodge you. We care about your wait times about as much as SWF cares about the fun of a killer, and that's slim to none. We can agree to disagree. How is chatting with your team cheating? Lol most everything in this game is discernable with or without outside chat. As someone who plays both killer and survivor, i don't have much of a differenc playing against randoms than I do playing against SWF.
And yeah sweaty tea bagging try hards are annoying to fight but oh so much more satisfying when you down and kill them. Plus, whats the point in pub stomping randoms? Id much rather get better at the game and play against talented, coordinated players. Makes the game much more fun than just, say walking all over easy noobs.
Well technically you are using a third party program (ts/discord) to gain an ingame advantage. Yeah yeah you wont get banned, but you know what we mean.. Fact is that playing against SWF usually is quite unfun, either they genrush you ala depip squad or they throw each other at the hook while clickin at you ala ochido-gang.....
Throwing at the hook can be countered, honestly, i love when survivors do that to me. Easy damage, yeah i lose a hook but i also just gained a huge advantage. And as a survivor I body block hooks wether I'm solo queuing or SWF. I'm not claiming to be the best killer, or survivor around. Suffice to say I'm just pretty causal player but playing solo queue vs playing with teams I play the game exactly the same as I would with randoms than I do SWF's. I dont need to hear "killers on me" to notice that the killer is chasing someone. Especially with so many potential sensory perks on the survivors.
Yes, but even if I 4k such a SWF with ease, I still dont enjoy the game. And fun is what its all about, you cant play DBD competitively.....

I've seen a couple of these Killers just stood swinging and swinging. I don't get it. What does the swinging do?Survivors will run into you to farm BP, this way you farm BP too without any effort^^
