Because this would require either a completely separate game on console, or would cause way too many problems because of it being a test build. This is the case with every game that does test builds mate.
1.since console requires an extensive verification process it wouldn’t fit the guidelines 2.even though pubg ptb may exist do remember console has a genuinely smaller player base than personal computer 3. steams guidelines and larger playerbase makes feedback come back much quicker and in much more quantity, allowing for better feedback altogether 4.would be WAY too much effort just to put out a singular update 5.your current files and ptb files would be two separate entities
I was going to answer you @slipttees but the thread has already all the answers you need.
Kudos to the people who answered you with good information and no negativity. You guys rock!
We would love to be able to provide a test build for consoles but, for the reasons listed in this thread, it is sadly impossible for us to do it.

But if it would have PTB on consoles help to improve the problems since always and never solved.
Example = In-Game > Option > Game > Active PTB?
With option to report complete logs, include photos and videos direct for Dbd dev team
There is simply no PTB and probably will never be one.

It requires a sizable download, too.
The patch frequency would be too rapid for console authentication.
Because sony and mircosoft have no easy tools to provide test builds while steam supports that.
Okay. thanks guys!

I asked this same question months ago and got tons of negativity. Good to see that the community has matured a bit.
@not_Queen thank you for reply. I love you!
slightly increases the maturity of the community, sounds good
I wish it was possible, damn
