I only play killer and people don't like how i play.. Why should i leave the hook when i don't get rewarded?... I just don't sit by the hook, I run around the area of the hook to bait them..Why not do this for the hooks.. There first hook is 10% debuff off everything, If they get caught again it goes upto 12% debuff, It makes the hooking rewarding.. or even 5%.. It makes it rewarding..
Why not try it for like 3 months and see how it is.. The only way a killer can get someone if they make a mistake.
This wasnt my idea, A DBD youtuber said this, Please Devs
First thing you should learn in DBD is that you need to ignore other peoples opinions about your playstyle

If the survivor knows someone has hex lullaby, he would think 2 times before doing gens, lullaby seem useless with such a notification giving away all information...... oh wait thats the case

If survivors get various notifications when they're affected by a killer's perks, why isn't the same offered to killers?DS is the only one I can think of, but I mean you get stunned and drop a survivor. We don't really need an icon for that.
Things like Kindred, OoO, Alert, where the killer received a notification of when they're being watched would give the killer an option to adapt to the match.
Just a thought.
Because they are killers.......

So the two broken things in this game atm Noed and d strike aren’t they a pain in the balls atm YES they are!! Like when I pick up a survivor I get punished for doing my objective like just who thought of this? And Noed I get killed just because I’m doing the objective? They both need to be changed ASAP people are leaving this game because of these two broken problems. The devs need to realise this and change them it would make the game a lot better. So here’s a few ways on how I would change both of these perks:Decisive strike
1.Rework decisive strike so that if they succeed the skill check 50% of the wiggle bar will be complete and the killers movement is decreased to 40% for 4 seconds.Hex: No one escapes Death:
1. If there is a dull totem remaining and once the exit gates are powered all survivors suffer from the exposed effect for 60 seconds after the exposed effect ends the killers movement speed is increased by 4%.What about unhook invulnerability and BT? Why do I get punished for doing my objective?

Regarding the rework, is that the obsession version of DS? What about the non-obsession one? Right now the idea is weaker than the obsession DS; but significantly stronger than the non-obsession DS-

Nope, utopian means ideal so the generator rework is already in effect, all killer's are balanced, perks are balanced, and... basically there's nothing wrong with the game. How would bring Nurse down to a reasonable level? I'm curious because the community wants to nerf her when the time comes.
You need to be a bit more precise when you are talking about a "generator rework".
Dedicated servers shouldnt affect the balance at all if executed properly, but in reality they will be a killer nerf -

Legion is probably the best killer to generate points with. Run bbq and pudding when you can and you should get like 70K Points per match. If you just go into the match expecting to lose and just to get as many points as possible. It’s fine. You can play a viable killer and go out with a lots of points too. additionally the match will be over faster since you actually kill them and dont have to wait until they finish gens and escape

Its intentional by design. Your view is rotated to the hag trap you just activated.

Everyone is complaining and arguing about whether the game is balanced or not, saying killers are overpowered or survivors win too much. What is balanced? My main point for discussion is:
Would you consider the game balanced if the average match was 2 survivors are killed and 2 survivors escape? Thats half and half.Discuss what the average match would have to be for you to think the game is balanced.
Im asking this because ive compiled almost 200 match statistics from rank 10 to rank 1 including map, killer, killer rank, killer perk tiers, killer add ons, whether im SWF and with how many, and how many end up surviving.
Balanced is when a equally skilled group of survivors cant simply dominate the killer.
Btw your 2 kill average can be achieved by LF-camping the first guy and then catching the last guy with NOED. There you go, no BP, depip but you got 2 kills. Is that balanced?
-

So I get on today and back to back killers obviously are looking to derank because they both quit instantly. Costing me 2 good offerings in a row. I get the bp back but that isn't really good IMO why can't they just make it so we get THE item back? BP means we will end up spending it on something we don't want in the first place as opposed to the good item we have.I can at least respect people whoderank by going idle. At least the IDEA is somewhat respectable to the survivors who can still get their points or whatever. Maybe they're not idle and they get hit if asked or something. But to load up no addons no offerings and DC right away? Oh yeah lets just screw 4 people over because I wasnt easier matches....
Assuming console bans aren't a total myth. Will they go back and look at the data for this? Would be hilarious to me if they all got banned for doing this.
You guys dont seem to understand.
DCing isnt really punished, even on PC where the banns work. You need to maintain a absurdly high rate DC over a large amount of time that the system triggers. You can be glad that you play as survivor, so you keep items and get 5k for BP. As killer you are really screwed if survivors DC

Yeah, no. If you use chat outside the game, you're basically cheating, and people don't like being cheated.
We don't know if you are until we're in the game, but most SWFs do use outside help.So why on earth should we have to roll the dice on if we're going to get cheated out of a fair game when odds are you are going to cheat us?
What's in it for us? Why should we have to put up with a difficulty spike? It's getting to the point where I have to roll the dice on if a SWF is going to be filled with #########, sweaty tryhards, and/or people using outside chat.
And don't get me started on mixed rank SWFs where you aren't even the same color in rank, and letting the higher rank prey on lower rank killers.
I'm not saying you and your homies pull the bullshit I mentioned, but too many others do to instantly have the trust of the killers that dodge you.
We care about your wait times about as much as SWF cares about the fun of a killer, and that's slim to none.
We can agree to disagree. How is chatting with your team cheating? Lol most everything in this game is discernable with or without outside chat. As someone who plays both killer and survivor, i don't have much of a differenc playing against randoms than I do playing against SWF.
And yeah sweaty tea bagging try hards are annoying to fight but oh so much more satisfying when you down and kill them. Plus, whats the point in pub stomping randoms? Id much rather get better at the game and play against talented, coordinated players. Makes the game much more fun than just, say walking all over easy noobs.
Well technically you are using a third party program (ts/discord) to gain an ingame advantage. Yeah yeah you wont get banned, but you know what we mean.. Fact is that playing against SWF usually is quite unfun, either they genrush you ala depip squad or they throw each other at the hook while clickin at you ala ochido-gang.....

A message to all killers. I never understood why people are afraid to fight any sort of survivors. Are you not a confident killer? Do you think you're bad? I don't get it. I understand killers have almost instantaneous wait times but survivors do not. I can't tell you how annoying it is to wait 10-15 minutes to find a game just to get dodged, sometimes 3 or 4 times in a row.
Stop being afraid of SWF groups, half the time i get dodged I'm only a group of 2 people. Sometimes people join up all at once, regardless of them being in a SWF together or not. Ontop of killers being afraid of specific survivors (???) I still dont understand that stigma. "Ope nope. I can't kill them, they have a claudette on the team. Time to dodge" So TLDR killers, please stop dodging us. We understand you find games instantly but we do not.
-sincerely,
survivors and our ridiculous wait times.
Im not confident at all when I play unviable killers because I know its up to the survivors whether I lose or win.
And tell me, why should I go against a SWF that clearly wants to bully me? Nah thanks, I will dodge and hand that group onto the next nurse/billy that wanna deal with them.
Oh and btw, no killers dodges because of claudette, you wouldnt be able to find a game for hours probably

Also I thought survivor queue times are instant because killers got buffed so hard for ez 4ks that everybody wants to play killer?
Not at all my guy. Survivors queue times always take forever. They generally take give or take 5-15 minutes to find matches, just to get dodged and start all over lol.
Using "survivor logic" now, this means that killers need to be buffed such that survivors get faster queues again?
I am curious, do you play in a SWF, same name/outfits? A lot of items? Flashlights? Toxic name?
When I play survivor, I get dodged really rarely -
balanced landing is really underrated imo
With the new engine, lightweight might have become quite decent aswell -
Thanatophobia? Is that the perk that turns the repair bar red?

@Grim said:
I always try to avoid these tactics as I understand survivors find them toxic and I can agree that it's not fun if the killer sticks by you and chases you off the hook. But I think that a lot of people let their own subjective experiences get in the way of their own objective evaluations. I'll constantly come by people who attempt to derail them as legitimate and legal strategies simply because they don't enjoy them. It's the same with the "gen rush." The main difference between the concepts is that gen rushing is a byproduct of a genuine flaw in the game's core design, (however still legitimate and legal in and of itself), whereas, camping and tunneling are not. Now, a lot of the time, I feel like camping hurts the killer as you surrender all pressure, but if the killer knows you're an overly altruistic team, or the exit gates are powered, why wouldn't they stick around when you're essentially giving them free pressure? It's the same with tunneling: It can be the more efficient move. If I'm not already in a chase, or I am and I see you get unhooked, why wouldn't I switch to you if you're one hook closer to death? One hook closer to that 3v1. Personally, I have no problem if the killer signals me out and/or camps me because I get that that's how they've decided to play and depending on their situation, it might be the smarter move. I also have no problem if survivors do gens really fast because what else is there for them to do really?
TL;DR, at the end of the day, both survivors and killers will play how they want to play. It's pointless to try and control that reality. Try to get past that and enjoy the game or move on.
I'm curious on your's guys' thoughts.
Campin and tunneling are also byproducts of flawed design.
Camping due to looping being insanely strong (why search and then follow the next target like an idiot if you can bait at hook too?)
And tunneling is exactly the same as genrushing. DBD is a game of time management.
Survivors dont switch the gen after they repaired it up to 50% because they would need to search for another, risk the killer kicking and denying progress etc.
Killers wont switch target after unhook because if they eliminate one of the 4 survivors, they reduce the efficiency of the survivor team significantly, less gen progress, more time for being looped etc etc
Tunneling and genrushing will never change unless the devs rework the core of the game.
Oh and then there is always the SWF plebs that call you a "noob camper" after you moried them with the 5 devour stacks

Well its ok if some people dont want to play competitively, there are a lot of people that play csgo/overwatch ranked without ever using a mic too for example. Thats not a reason to deny everyone that possibility though and its the only way how SWF can be properly balanced.

Why dont you have a quick play system based on hours played and not a pure rank system where when i play killers at rank 14 i don't run into ever perk that makes doing anything impossible. its not balanced what so ever and is so agitating ive debated uninstalling the game twice now.If they really implemented such a system, then you would never find a game because its really fast to rank up your characters.
But I would indeed support the idea of a casual mode (even with complete random matchmaking)

We might have to nerf them in some other aspects. I just want this buff to be taken cautiously. I know the devs are going to buff him but I'm worried that they're going to make Legion the most hated killer in Dbd. More than the nurse herself. So please, devs, take this buff accordingly. They need buffs and the Frank's mixtape by default sounds cool but you're going to have to nerf them in another aspect to balance it out. I dont want this killer to be useless, I want them to be viable. But that doesn't mean i want them to be OP either. So please devs, keep an eye on them please, they're going to be a nightmare to balance outSo, what do you propose?

Let's Relate Together!Admit, you got the same map and you're getting tired of playing on it! It's annoying and you don't see as much variety since you're always on the same map! How do we fix this problem without creating more problems? Introducing "The Restriction System"
When you finish your latest game, the map you played that game on will be recorded (and you do not see this since this data is private to you but you can just memorize this). The map that is recorded will not be a possibility for the next game you play to prevent repetition!
This means up to 5 maps can be restricted due to being 5 players in every game. The minimum can be only a single map restricted due to everyone in your lobby previously played the same map.
An exception to the "Restriction System"
If at anytime a map offering is used, the restriction system will be ignored COMPLETELY. However, it will still be counted as your latest played map when you finish that game. Misconceptions
If you played The McMillian Estate map, you can still get The McMillan Estate map but you won't get the same variation.
Discuss! Hopefully, this can solve the repetition issues with some players!

Sounds reasonable, but would probably require some work from BHVR.....

It really amuses me how disconnected some people seem to be from the actual game. Also how biased some people are. So funny to read some of these comments. There's a couple of OP things in this game now.
DS, Adrenaline(Only With SWF), BOrrowed Time, do however enjoy the change to BT since it punishes tunnel/camp even more so now. And No After the Exhaustion nerf none of them are OP. Same goes for Healing nerf, Self care is not OP. No matter what you say. Stop calling other survivor perks OP Killers. Theyre simply not. The game is the most balanced it's been since i started playing it over a year ago. Yes a good organized SWF is really good. But so is a well played killer. (With aurareadings and whatnot.)
Exhaustion Addons(After the Exhaustion nerf i feel like these are way to strong.), NOED, EBONY MORI, SPIRIT, NURSE, BBQ('cause closets are #########)
SLOPPY BUTCHER(Id rather take 40 sec extra per gen then sloppy any day of the week. Sloppy is SO BORING gameplay. Please put this back to the point it was before)
Maybe u are the one who is disconnected from the game. Or maybe you are simply not honest.
U say DS is not op? Borrowed or (un)balanced landing aren't? Maybe u're right, but the truth is that best killer perks are always counterable (for example Ruin, which is too easy to find and destroy), instead most of survivor's perks are uncounterable. And its only one of the advantages the survs have (like the hatch, for example). Everyone is blaming the survivor nerfs and bla bla bla but there is not enough nerf when u have a broken mode like swf, that allows you to have IN GAME advantages with OFF GAME devices.
This is not balancing, whatever your opinion is.
Since of the counters:
DS you can dribble or leave on ground
BT you can wait out the BT time or just not camp and put on something like MYC to find savior after save
Balance landing is only used once and you can mind game it, depending on the situation. And you're talking from the stand point that the survivors find the hex. I've had games where no one found the ruin and you also have perks you can put with it to protect it.
Dribbling only prolongs the inevitable, in the end you will have to eat the DS anyway.
You cant wait BT out anymore, just like the legion power.
You can use balanced landing as many times as you wish, it just has a short cooldown. After some time you learn the totem spots and its not that difficult to find them, but the sad part is that you can simply power through ruin too
-
A rank system where you can reach the highest rank in a few days and a monthly reset is completely pointless. Rank is a matter of grind and not skill. On top of that, there are no rewards for ranking up and SWF completely breaks the matchmaking system
