This was tested in a PTB which was an early prototype version, as we said then - this was a very early test and nothing that was tested in that PTB was guaranteed to come to the Live game.
Do not forget that Behavior itself, through the Dead by Daylight Twitter account, let it be understood that they have not given up on the system, they are making adjustments for a possible test again and even a possible release of it, remembering that the rework of the memento mori which was tested with the unbreakable base kit in the same PTB, it may be in the Year 7 plan as announced on twitter.

Nope heavy survivor sidedThe forum is there to publish reviews, observations, opinions, among many other things about the game, and that refer to the subject and message of the topic.

Hell no. As long as SWF can basically break the game, it never will be.Sometimes SWF can be fun or not, I think developers will not change anything about it, but anyway, any idea can be welcome or not.
Adding one more thing to the topic, the game mode kill your friends is very lagged if you're not the host, hopefully with the dedicated servers they'll sort this out if it's not unfeasible to play that way, it seems like I'm playing with ping 400.

Game is heavily unbalanced towards survivors.@TheMidnightRidr said:
Unlike many here, I believe it is the closest to balanced as it has ever been. Survivors DEFINITELY needed the many nerfs. I can understand the frustration resulting from it, but in order for the game to stay relevant, something needed to be done. Nowadays, a skilled killer can successfully mindgame a survivor (with the exception of certain loops) and decimate the competition. At the same time, however, if there is a coordinated group of survivors who know what they're doing, the killer has a much harder game. While it's not perfect, I like the state the game is in. Much of the people who play are biased for one side or another. To say a game is "heavily" balanced to either side is ignorant. I'm sorry you don't 4K every game. I'm sorry you or your group doesn't escape every game. In the end, somebody has to lose.
For those who say the game is in survivor's favor, for most of my time in DBD, I'd agree. But now, I think it is as close to balanced as we can get. Granted, gens can go by pretty friggin fast, but that does not happen every single game. If you really think the killer is weak, go ahead and watch my favorite streamer Tru3talent. I'm confident he will prove that every killer can be strong in the right hands.
For those who say the game is in the killer's favor.......I mean c'mon. I understand looping against a good killer can be hard, but one survivor is not supposed to be able to face a killer themselves. It's a team game. If your team is lackluster......well, ya probably will lose. But if you have a strong team who knows what to do, the game will seem like a breeze. Check out Marth88's depip squad. He will show you what a strong team looks like.
In the end, it's a video game. If you don't have fun, you aren't obligated to play so much to the point of rage. Try to have an objective mindset rather than a subjective one, and the truth may reveal itself to be different than you once thought.
The killers are adopting the methods of campering and tunneling to be able to win a match, more experienced killers do not need this to win or even need to, but, depending on the situation and the moment of the match, I particularly do not think it's fair to tunnel or camper the same or another survivor, if I do that they have no chance to survive, I with more than 1910 hours of game I do not need this to be able to win a match, sometimes I win, sometimes I lose, it's normal, sometimes they do not find my ruin, but sometimes they find it fast or are born on the side of the totem, if a killer plays well against a survivor you will have a quick match, if he does not play he loses and everything will also depend on your perks and gameplay.
Playing survivor, depending on the killer you will have a good match or not, everything also depends on luck, gameplay and the team of randoms or SWF that you are playing, if you repair the generators, at least 2 you or another survivor has a chance of escape through the hatch, if 4/5 generators are noticed, they have a chance to escape through the gates, but it is not totally guaranteed that the 4 survivors will escape, only if the team really knows how to play and also depends on the item and complements that each one carries or does not. SWF, if you get a good team even, you probably have a headache in the match, but playing with the right perks at least 1 or 2 you can take depending on the map, it has a map that is more advantageous for survivors and others for the killer.

Survivors seem to be the strongest currently, due to the existance of freddy and pig, most of the time 3 survivors escape and 1 dies to these fellas due to them tunneling EVERY TIME, survivors always get there way anyway so I dont care at allEven with the assassins having obsession perks that delay the game and several of them usually give tunnel or camperar the obessession to try to win the match, freddy with the advantages of ruining, remember me, more than blocking the gate when hooking a survivor how many gates are active and no one escapes death is very OP, especially with the complements to lessen the transition of the dream world in 2 seconds and still moderately decrease the skill tests. The pig with the add-ons to shorten the counting time of the traps and survivors do not see where the jigsaw boxes are, it's pretty cool too, especially when you've been in 3 boxes and you're only going to be able to remove the trap in the last box, after all the generators end and you fall for example, the pig will put the trap on you and will focus you until you guarantee death.

Yeah when I played on console I got spanked by a P3 nurse and wasn't annoyed by it because she is so hard to play...I imagine it's pretty hard even to play nurse on the console with the controller itself, but do not forget that there are people playing with mouse and keyboard on the console, so it helps a lot in the gameplay.

I started playing this game in oktober, got rank 1 survivor my first three weeks of playing and rank 1 killer during the double BP event.Getting rank 1 as survivor is easy as [BAD WORD], while rank 1 killer is simply put, way harder to achieve.
Maybe the killers you threw against were not so hard to let you get to rank 1 without losing pip.

I am the opposite, easier to get rank 1 killer, harder to get rank 1 survivor cause of tunnelers/campers
Perhaps the survivors you threw against were not so hard enough to let you get to rank 1 without losing pip.

The game is not balanced. It's Survivor favoured, but since the survivors have a worse learning curve, for the majority of the players killers dominate survivors and the Devs don't know how to respond to this effect.

Killer winrate
Survivor winrate
Both lines should be closely tied together and be around 50% at any percentile of players.
(Note that the X-axis scale looks somewhat like a reverse of a logarithmic paper's y-axis scale)Interesting, thanks for giving your opinion, really if the killer knows how to play is another story, and as the friend said, not always you will get 4K, especially if they get a SWF with communication and they play well as well.
@Blueberry said:
You literally have this completely backwards...the game is heavily unbalanced..in favor of survivors. It may even be unbalanced in favor of survivors, especially if it is against SWF or random in rank higher, since a team that plays well or in communication against a killer is more likely to win, but depends on gameplay, luck, among other things , not always SWF or killers will win, mainly depending on the map and the killer.

Flash light nerfs were extremely necessary since back then you could blind the killer by simply clicking right click in their face. The current pick up animation is very well balanced and allows a fair chance for both sides to either get the blind or evade the blind. The old animation was simply ridiculous and allowed survivors to run from across the map and still be able to get the blind.Hooks and pallets are in no way comparable. Hooks are the killer's objectives just like generators for survivors. Pallets are your line of defence and since you guys are a team of 4 you need to use these pallets as efficiently as possible.
Camping and tunnelling are both legitimate strategies that accomplish the killer's objective. Killers don't have to play "fair" since they also love to win just as much as you.
Huntress throwing a hatchet and landing a hit on a survivor is literally the entire point of her ability. Nurses can be countered regardless of how they are but you would rather complain than learn how to play against her.
Nerfs to loops and pallets were completely justified since loops like fractured cowshed or torment creek used to waste so much of the killer's time by simply holding shift+w. Some loops are still pretty busted like the one on badham or wretched shop. Generators have never been nerfed changed in anyway so I have no idea where you got that from. It's still possible to complete them in 3-4 minutes.
It might not be completely balanced but it's definitely better than before.
I agree that the lanterns used to be nicknames, especially that rock with an ultra rare lamp and sapphire lens because it blinded instantly, even against the advantage of light resistance, I've seen in videos that it was possible to blind the killer aside and instantly , I did not play flashlight at the time, because I only started playing DBD at the end of December 2016.
Pallets and hooks I agree with the analysis, it has to be used efficiently, especially against killers who use spiritual fury and resistance.
I agree with the point of the huntress, but I do not agree with the hitbox of the game which is in most cases liar like the hatchet catching in the air and hitting the survivor regardless if he is behind a generator or a wall not so high for example.
I've played against several nurses, the killer has to play with her, otherwise he can not succeed in his plays, I've played against several guys who know how to play nurse, you can not hold a nurse for 2 or 3 generators, especially if it has the advantage of ruining it.Nerfs for pallets and windows may even be necessary because it was unbalanced and held quite the killers, the pallets were close and the killers have some advantages that can be used to break the pallets more efficiently like brute force, spiritual fury + resistance, the wraith with the addons to break pallets and pumping windows faster, the legion with the addon of breaking pallet when it is in pursuit with survivor. The generators were changed, old in the beginning of the game was very fast and even with the release of tanatophobia, it was not so slow, in the last patch notes they gave more nerf, but nothing that a well equipped toolbox does not solve this, now if you have to take a little longer.
I do not think the game is totally balanced, but, who knows, things will improve in the next updates or not.
