The points were great. 1000 for every unique hook as killer, and every gen gave you 1000 points whenever a generator was done. (3000 if you brought an envelope offering)
I don't know how the the envelopes points worked, but sometimes it gave 8888 points, which was crazy good.
-
I seem to have noticed that too. I think it might be because of the grace period where you can't step on your own trap shortly after setting.

That was weird, if you do most of the challanges of all level you will hit easily 50 and while you played those games for the challanges you anyway got easly the other 20 levels.
I can tell this cuz I was even pushing 2 rifts at the same time in the same month, I girl friend of mine was at vacation at the first rift and I did her rfit aswell while I did mine. And I didnt even needed to play that much, I was just doing the challanges.
Those 20-ish levels with no challenges to back them up were precisely what I disliked. Then again, I used to play in a duo swf a lot, so maybe we just did the challenges too efficiently. And starved ourselves of the extra matches padding the challenges.
-
Rift Fragments taking 500 match XP instead of 800 per.
Made the battlepass soooo much more manageable. I still play daily, but not that many matches. Thanks to that change, I can hit tier 70 without totally burning out midway through.
-
2 months before this, RPD was still a commonly used SWF map because of OP boon totems. This only changes things slightly :(
-
It's for the best, but I'm sad that it was taken so soon. I wanted to use it with Power Struggle but it's bugged with the new Wiggle controls now (DS is too)
Survivor Squads can make literally anything work, and Boil Over was the most recent so it got the most attention, from both side.
I like to imagine survivors using Slippery Meat and getting that nerfed and called OP. Because you can get the unhook to well past 100%, with minimal offering/perk stacking, as long as 2+ survivors are on board.
-
I used to have every achievement (up until Pinhead's release, because I'm behind on the DLCs) and from experience, Left For Dead is probably the hardest achievement to get.
It just requires too many factors, more than even Evil Incarnate. Even when a killer shows mercy, it's pretty hard for them to understand what you want. If you refuse hatch then they'll prolly kill you
-
There's so much potential. Werewolf, vampire, killer robot, undead pirate, the list goes on.
-
Buffed Agitation would be fun as heck. But let me tell you, it doesn't need a buff. Again, would be really fun if it did though.
Iron Grasp could probably stand to get some love
-
What are they gonna do? Knock my block off?
a Killer Klowns chapter would be pretty fun, they could get creative and do a moveset with a hybrid of references. Plus there was that sequel that's been in production Hell for like the past 10 years so this would be nice
-
If they're a 3-piece outfit, or purple rarity, then they almost always come back (but several months to a year later)
If they're a single item, then they are probably not going to come back. None have so far.
-
People were already burning RPD offerings to abuse boon totems, boil over in the library sounds less unpleasent by comparison. Because RPD as a whole is on the negative side.
I'm happy Dead Man's Switch got a buff, it doesn't seem too powerful to me. You can always leave a gen intentionally to lure the killer over there, like a free Red Herring. Since they're blocked, it's not like they can combo it with Hex: Ruin or PGTW
-
Hotline Miami or Bioshock. Or Dead Rising paragraph.
I've always seen the video game licenses as bigger potential than movies.

Speaking of. How true is this post? Is it really that small of drop minimum or major exaggeration?
It's the same height requirement as Balanced Landing, so it actually isn't much of an exaggeration. Another notable example is the little hills in nearly every map.
-
That last achievement is a nice reference. To Frank's quote in the opening scene I mean.
-
That Jane outfit from the greek legend, no reason the hair should be restricted. The toga part, sure, maybe. But I think that was the first example of unnecessary sets.
-
iirc the next Tome is going to be licensed with Pig & Tapp, so expect 50% of the shrine's perks to be those ones for the inevitable challenges using those perks.
-
The speed wasn't the problem so much as the availability and repeated use. I don't think the meta will change much.
-
For some reason they've been super inconsistent with releasing the recolors to the store. Some of those single-piece recolors I imagine will never be in the store due to the huge backlog.
I'm glad I got Ace's purple shirt from Tome 2 because it hasn't been rereleased.
-
I've already seen people hypothesize that what if there's a transgender survivor in the future, and then Leatherface's other outfits become used for harrasment purposes. That sounds like a stretch, just to exaggerate Bubba losing his items, but you never know what will happen down the line.

The killswitch is reserved for things that break up gameplay.
Cosmetics working as intended (I.E not making Survivors invisible) don't fall under that category.
What's the issue with warning people about it? It's not like people have a stockpile of masks that they've been waiting to use, like we saw with Iridescent add-on nerfs in the past.
I guess that's true, it's not bugged. But anytime they announce changes, it causes a small influx of excess use before the change goes through (keys, moris, Iri-Head, etc.)
I'm just afraid that more people will be using the mask in a bad way before since it's going to go away

But it only works on great skill checks now, right? Or am I misunderstanding it? Could still end up being good though. Surely everyone hits a great skill checks every once in a while.
I'm hoping it's both, but they did use the phrase "rework" so it might be just great skillchecks. At least it has a permanent activation until someone hits a great though.
-
According to one of their Twitter replies, the Boil Over buff will apply like an Balanced Landing, which means it's basically any fall instead of the Tome challenge distance. This could become a huge off-meta fun perk.
-
Gearhad has such a cool perk icon, I'm glad it finally has some more practical use.
-
They look at the numbers, see that Marvin's Blood is the most used addon by a large margin. Then they nerf it and say: "Everyone's using these select few addons, they must be overpowered"
When in reality they're just the best addons there are, when none of them are particularly great.
-
I personally compare it to Temple of Purgation. Except the main building is stronger on the Crow map
-
I'm so glad a lot of people are commenting about Hotline Miami, it's also my most wanted license. It's not exactly obscure, but most people wouldn't say it's a horror game.
I think there's enough death & destruction in it to qualify for DBD though.

If they ever went with Hotline Miami, I would adore seeing a chapter where the killer and survivor are ambiguously the same person. Jacket as the survivor and, say, Richard as the killer, would be very interesting, though it maaaayyyy strain against canon a little bit.
That's a really creative idea, I was always imagining it would be Evan or Beard as the survivor. With the killer just getting lots of legendary skins (there's a lot of choices)
-
Big Daddy from Bioshock.
Or, Jacket from Hotline Miami which would be a wildcard pick but fitting.
-
@ocafghanistan the most recognizable Jake pfp
-
Another celebrity's life ruined by drugs and alcohol 😭
-
I really think it should, since it already feels like such a freemium model. By default you only get ~20% of the characters for free, and everything else is either DLC or "free" with iridescent shards.
-
In most scenarios, the tunneling doesn't allow for a survivor to be prepared, and they just get 1-hit and back on the hook. Hardly a chase.
That's one reason why the boost from BT or DS are used, because it allows the chase to actually continue assuming someone is being tunneled.
-
I'd probably have to go with Bitter Murmur, Jolt, and Sloppy Butcher.
Maybe sub bitter murmur with Spies from the Shadows for info, and maybe Deerstalker if you want to play a killer who can build momentum.
NOED is the strongest generic killer perk, but if you get to that point, then you're highly unlikely to get a Merciless Killer, so it's not worth using for this.
-
Probably not, but there is a little bit of truth in the claims. If somebody manages to get to red
rankgrade and it's only like a week after reset, then it's clear that they play a considerable amount, and are dedicated or skilled enough to get there.Of course this observation weakens as the month goes on, but I think it holds some water at least.
-
ngl I thought I was supposed to be looking at the 4 of the same green item, which seems equally uncommon.
-
We're long overdue for robot themed killer. Or a pirate.
Or give us the best of both worlds, a Bioshock chapter would be my dream come true.
-
Doctor's baseball bat. A green item, so it's 4500 shards. I think it looks very good.

Does anyone know whether the "with scars to show" trophy means escape the chase or escape the trial yet?
It's just to escape a chase after being injured. It should unlock over time just by playing, even without the use of any certain perks.
-
I'd prefer if the chapter exclusives were the default outfit recolors, but I think they've been doing that less recently. At least with licensed they have.
-
The Halloween Archive was very helpful, I'm several days ahead if you assume 70 days = 70 tiers.

I do! I miss the Huntress's hatchets so much. Trickster's blades look completely out-of-place. Ridiculously, comically out-of-place.
I don't think they're that out of place, the coloring is the main thing but the wall rack itself looks clean.
-
@RainehDaze said:
I think it's random when you load in? Or at least semi-random. I've seen both.
I swear they're always trickster blades when you open a locker. As every single killer I play, on the off chance I search a locker, that is.
-
I don't see a problem with giving it a new feature. My philosophy is to make other stuff stronger, instead of nerfing perks that are strong right now.
Would removing entity blockers be a freebie action or would that have to be charged up like blocking a gen is?
-
Playing solo survivor, I've been stuck on this & Blood Debt for the past 2 days. If that challenge actually lets you heal yourself, that's a big help. But it's still pretty annoying.
-
"Stun the killer X amount of times"
I really hate this one, because the optimal play is to prolong a pallet stun as long as possible, and some killers respect pallets or have powers that invalidate them. In the later levels, some of the required numbers get quite high, and they're just treated as throwaway challenges in every Tome. I hate it.
"Blood Debt" challenges.
They show up less often in the Tomes, but they're also really annoying. Having to unhook someone who unhooked you earlier in a trial can sometimes require throwing the game, or going many rounds without seeing the scenario.
-
I ended up watching some Otzdarva Demogorgon videos (he's got some with each outfit) and I ended up picking the Twisted Demogorgon outfit. Thanks for your help with the picture too!
-
Considering the fact that Dark Sense is a generic perk, this sounds like a harmless buff that would be good for new survivors.
Experienced survivors probably wouldn't use Dark Sense even with this change, so it would only help newer players who have limited selection.
-
In addition to what it does now, Monstrous Shrine should make all basement hooks Scourge Hooks, and then add 1 more to the map. That way, people would use if for Scourge Hook builds, since those perks are slowly being rolled out.

Huntress's story is tragic too at the start but she does start hunting people and kidnapping girls.
Also doesn't Nurse believe in ,,removing the weak from the gene pool" or something around those lines.
in the Archives her lore is like that. But in the base game it's just a widow driven insane by working at an asylum, which I'd say falls under OP's reasoning
