My god.. im pretty sure using reshade in dbd is banneable as it is for other games that also use eac so... that guy won't be streaming for too long.
It isnt im pretty sure. People have been using it for ages and most gpus can do the same thing without reshade by just applying it to your whole PC.
-
Most of the larger maps if you dont have it you are on 3 gens almost instantly.
-
I have a hard drive for most games including DBD probably like 15 min max
-
Play a game of slinger using Q and E turing. Funniest ######### I have ever seen.
-
Depends on the killer if they are low tier but normally double slowdown BBQ and some other perk depending on the killer. But a lot of the time with killer I am comfy with I go full 4 perks for one thing not to be effective but just to be extremely overkill. For example using sloppy, nurses, forced penance and franklins for medkits. Good luck healing. One of my favourite builds that I think is just hilarious is using 4 exposed perks like dragon, devour, haunted and rancor instadowns for ######### days. I even made things like pointless obsession build of nemesis stbfl furative and dying light. The whole point of the build is to get no stbfl and dying light stacks. a much much better version would be to swap dying for rancor and stbfl for remember me/nowayout/enduring/bloodwarden.

Both.. The guy said he was using a program called ReShade and had a res of 1080 x 1600
Oh yeah I use ReShade too it just makes the game look more colorful and less grey imo never really bothered with stretched res though that shits ugly. Most graphics cards can do filters themselves and I used to use those before I found out about ReShade. Nvidia cards have something simalar built in IIRC.
-
...
I am yet to see a single one.

Stretched res or filters?

I have this moment sometimes when i see 4 flashlights in the lobby and i have only 15 seconds left. I try to find the perk, forget everything about alphabetical order and always find only shadowborn.
Its even better when you dont have all the perks so you just look for the first eye perk and forget you have shadowborn 3 but lightborn only 2 so lightborn still shows up afterwards.

Wraith and demo are both flavor of the month killers for people to complain about.
I give it 4 weeks before people stop talking about Wraith/Demo being strong entirely.
PS. Wraith didn't get stronger its just he no longer requires running his windstorm add-ons as you can reach the same speed he has now before the change with a single windstorm add-on.
People are talking about Demo bieng strong. I can understand wraith because they did not need to make his already long lunge even longer but demo?

What sensitivity do you guys have for killers? Do you have it maxed out 100 or low, or medium? I have my sensitivity maxed out at 100.
Also what do you guys feel overall helps you more low or high sensitivity for most killers?
I have it maxed out and it still feels extremely low tbh

That feeling when you used shadowborn instead of lightborn...

I was a dumpster fire that match
Was against The Shape on Autohaven, most important thing, he had Trail of Torment. I saw the yellow gens, he got to use it a lot in this match, I was aware of the existence of this perk at that time, Autohaven is not a good map for Shape to be stealthy anyway, and yet he always surprised me when he got me with tier 3, because I completely tried to rely on his terror radius when he popped tier 3 and did not even pay attention to my spine chill or my surroundings.
Only near the end I finally remembered the existence of this perk and I felt so stupid afterwards since the perk announces itself. I could've played around that by just being more careful at the yellow gen area. I think I even stayed near the yellow gens because I thought someone had a perk that announces a gen. Didn't even question the undetectable thing, I just forgot Tier 3 Shape isnt normally undetactable I guess.
Unrelated to ToT but I also just played terrible in general that match, my unhooks were all unsafe, I stayed commited to the one gen for no reason Shape always patrolled (and used for ToT), unintentionally brought him to other survivors despite running bond
Was the most cursed trial I had, my brain just went dead for 10 minutes
Oooh that reminds me of the time where the killer had trail and my teammates had better together for some reason(they were both nancy so I guess they get as bad bloodweb rng as me lol) There was so many yellow gens and like 4 times that match I went to get the trail of torment gen and ended up just staring at a nancy. When there was 1 gen left I saw one near me turn yellow and assumed it was the nancy so I went over to help her finish that. I got a comically large knife to the face.

Personally I don't think DS is S tier anymore which is a good thing imo. Also while Adrenaline comes in clutch sometimes it is pretty common for it to either never get used or it gets used but you don't get any value from it so I dont think it belongs in S.

I love to play in midwich with him. The corridors is awesome to get hits.
I mean yeah of those midwich is definetly the best. I just kinda had 1 more slot to fill and I just dont like playing any of the indoor maps with him.

So, how many of us actually play Spirit? I kind of do on very rare occasions when I want to play a killer I find kind of difficult because of all of my self-nerfs (no Stridor, no 50/50's, no standing still, etc) but still very strong. I'd probably like playing her a lot more if not for how just... Spirit-y she is.
How many others use her? Do you have any self-banned perks or add-ons, or do you just play normally whilst silently wishing she wasn't so miserable for your opponents? Do you go out of your way to be nice, or do you just play her as your guilty pleasure?
I just dont play her. I havent played a single game of her since I got my adept

But hes spooky!
You do make good points gameplay wise, for me personally hes nowhere near my least favourite because of the spooks. And hes my favourite horror icon.
For me its probably hag
Honestly stealth is sooo overrated in this game there is so many things that counter it.
-
I am not sure why you couldnt hit him os maybe it was a hacker but it is fairly common bug for people to just randomly stay in an animation like healing or wokring on a gen even though they arent doing that anymore.

Twins: SLOPPY. Sloppy is just hands down the most important perk. Deerstalker is a nice QOL to find slugs that you downed with victor, Crowd control can stop them from spam vaulting windows vs victor. Any chase perks to help you get the first hit with Charlotte. Obviously slowdown and like BBQ or discordance if you want. Franklins is also decent on twins to get rid of medkits. Maybe like nurses too just really anything to interrupt/slow heals, some slowdown if you want otherwise either bring a perk to help with victor chases(isnt really needed considering how strong he is in loops) , info perks and a perk to get the first hit with charlotte. I dont really run just 1 build but something like sloppy, corrupt, BBQ and crowd control works pretty nicely. Also yes I am a dumb hypocrite for saying I hate crowd control I just didnt realise the value on twins when I made that post.

What do you feel when you lose a quick game? How do you react to being hung 2 times with 5 or 4 gens or what do you feel when you cannot hang anyone or give up? I want to know what your opinion is, the truth is that whenever I lose a game very quickly, whether from killer or survivor, I get tension and agitation, especially with wanting to catch him and kill him or want to escape from him and go away. In the end a few, I do not know, feel empathy for that player who wastes time in dying, instead of playing, for example, bubba with insidious in the basement. What do you think, how do you feel when you lose a fast game even if it lasts 5 minutes?
Angry usually followed by a salty forum post then realising my mistakes and I shouldnt be so stressed about winning when I am playing a meme build or learning a killer.
-
No. Thats just sandbagging the perk. Imagine looping the killer with like 10 seconds left on haunted and you go down cause the person doing adept elodie blocked the pallet.
-
I just made this
-
@GannTM said:
Because of survivors getting terrified of the perk and trying to find the totem, it not only makes it a lethality perk, it also makes it a game delay perk to some extent.
Yeah devour fits into this wierd psuedo slowdown where it doesnt technically slow anything down but it forces survivors to play unoptimally the only other perk that comes to mind with this is probably mindbreaker since they cant work on gens and recover exhaustion at the same time.
-
@whycantIwin said:
Playing as a killer it happens quite a lot that the first gen is already done in the first 30-40 seconds even when I already got a hook, but 1 hook in the first minute vs 1 gen, it's nothing at all.
While playing survivor, it happens a LOT I spawn with someone or more and a gen is 2 meters from us, making us work on it instantly and maybe finish it before the killer even show up or we commit to it and that's 1 gen done in the first minute.
I think on both side is it unfair since if 2-3 survivors spawn next to a gen they already start doing their objective and can possible already do 20% of their work without a single pallet dropped or even 1 hook, pretty much making the killer start the real match with 4 gens instead of 5.
Obviously it doesn't happen every single game, but most of the time it does.
Of course you can use the argument of "use corrupted intervention" which is totally valid,
but Should survivors spawn apart slightly and slightly away from gens? just to at least make survivors take 7-10 seconds to get on a gen alone or maybe with someone instead of starting 1 gen with 2-3-4 survivors right away?
yes dear god don't split them up. It is so so much better to have 1 gen gone and 0 progress on any other 4 gens then 4 gens with half progress.

I have 900+ hours in DBD right now and I have probably played Huntress like 2 or 3 hours during my first 750-800 hours of playing. I was pretty terrible with her but probably around a month or two ago I started playing Huntress a lot, found myself improving with her, and now she’s one of my favorite killers to play as. Getting long-ranged hatchets from up to 15 meters is very satisfying and it also feels good knowing that Huntress, despite being a powerful killer, has reasonable counterplay with one of the highest skill ceilings in the game. Only thing I despise about her is Iri Head but thankfully it got nerfed after 50 years.
Same situation except with blight. I never thought I would like blight and didnt even plan on picking him up but I won him in a giveaway and holy ######### he is fun especially since POV change.

@GannTM said:
Twins. No one plays them because they’re so boring to play as and against and encourage unhealthy gameplay. I like running around with Victor at times but it gets old so fast so they need to give this killer something more interactive.
I find twins pretty fun to play its like running around with a super speed demo.
-
It is a weird one for me but Myers. He is just the most boring killer. He does nothing special he just does normal m1 #########. There is no power to try and counterplay you just loop him in the most boring way possible. I prefer playing against spirits and freddys than myers.
-
@Predated said:
For me it's Myers aswell, but not because he is boring to play as or against(seriously, if you were bored, you werent facing Myer mains). Myers, even without scratched mirror, is one of the few killers I can actively make people scared because you have to be creative with his power. His addons give him a ton of versitality giving no standard Myers gameplay, which is great. Except that there is another killer in the roster being much, much better at it's versitality, is overall more stealthy and has ways to deal with loops, and his name is Wraith.
Myers is gonna get reworked though, he is the only killer who:
- doesnt confirm to 4 greys(or browns), 5 yellows, 5 greens, 4 purples and 2 pinks. Instead, he has 6 yellows and 3 greys.
- has an insanely overpowered addon(which isnt even pink) that either needs a complete rework or needs massive downsides.
- has no collision while using his power.
Then he is one of the final 2 killers who needs a yellow addon as basekit. As for which addon? I think that might actually surprise you, I think Jewellery needs to be basekit. He doesnt need too much alteration other than some slight tweaks if Jewellery is basekit. Seriously, if jewellery is basekit, you can use another jewellery and jewellery box together, and move at 150% when stalking with no target, which is as fast as cloaked wraith, and 103.5% if you are actively stalking. His "weakest" addons suddenly become very lethal by just making Jewellery basekit.
Myers having no collosion when using his power is intentional because they didnt want myers to bodyblock people into corners then get all of his stalk off them.
-
soooo Rancor?

@MeltingPenguins said:
On the note on the sliding off:
Does anyone have the patience to go through every map and tile thereon to check where blight slides off?
Well actually his latest collosion change made it slightly easier to test since they change it to be the m1 hitbox IIRC. Hop into a KYF with unrelenting everything you cane whiffs and just hits air you wount bump off anything where it tings off you bump on.
-
Honestly Blight is the best killer in the game from every angle imo. I love his design, hugely important in the lore, he doesn't have a single bad skin in my eyes, simple power on paper but really complex to people who sink the time into him, strong against SWFs, has counterplay, fun addons, perfect learning curve of being extremely easy to pick up but argueably harder to master than nurse. The only fault I can see with him is buggy collosion but that isn't even his fault its the maps having wonky collosion for everyone. Truly the drug addicted pinball is the superior killer.

I think you mean the community isn't as bad as people say in which case I'm inclined to agree. I've met tons of cool people who've send me GGs and given me props and the like. Moreso than salt mail in fact. What I'm saying is I do get salt mail once in a while, but I get chill, wholesome, gamer messages more often tbh. Idk if I'm just lucky or what but that's my experience.
Orginally I wrote community twice. I then proceded to delete it twice before posting. I need sleep.

No. He isnt that bad its just everything he does there is like 5 different killers who do it better.

@Johnny_XMan said:
Hard disagree.
For me, part of countering Hag is getting rid of her traps when the opportunity arises to do so (she picked up a downed survivor, she is kicking a gen, she is committing to a down near a 99% gen) and while yes the camera spin may be annoying, at least you will always know where her traps are or where she likes to trap because many times you won’t be able to see them on the ground. This is important when you understand the ‘web’ she is trying to create.
This add on also guarantees a free hit for her. If you have exhaustion perks like SB or DH you could potentially avoid the hit vs not being able to because you didn’t know the trap was there to begin with.
I’ve always said without this add on, I have always felt like I find hag half-way fun, as I feel there are more counters. Which at base Hag doesn’t really have any, unless you bring a flashlight.
This addonn doesnt guarantee a free hit if you know where she put her traps.

S Tier:
- Oni - Absolutely brutal. Fantastic use of the camera angle & everything.
- Pyramid head - Brutal. Shows you how much stronger he is than you as he approaches you while downed and picks you up with one hand. Love how the camera shakes when he first approaches you. Fantastic detail
- Deathslinger - Shoves his gun into you ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ? Then picks you up & shoots you trough the back and your mouth? Brutal
A tier:
- Demogorgon - Very well executed. Stabs you then eats your head while you hear the muffled screams of your victim? Brutal
- Ghostace - Not as brutal as it is Funny. You can make some pretty nice albums with this one
- Hag - Absolutely brutal. The survivor looks back and the hag instantly jumps at the neck and pulls and eats the survivors guts? Gordon Ramsey would be proud.
- Legion - Love how he's the same height as the survivor and there's clearly a struggle for survival from the survivor.
- Huntress - Powerful & bloody. Fantastic use of the weapon
- Trickster - Stylish and murderous
B Tier:
- Clown - Longest animation in the game. Love the crack sound when he stomps your head & then proceeds to cut and lick your finger whilst adding it to the collection. Clown will choose different fingers.
- Freddy - Very good use of the angle on that mori. Love the hand trough the chest and Freddy appears behind. More funny than brutal to me as in the end he proceeds to give you the Stink Eye
- Nurse - Probably the most unique animation in the game. Not much to say. Quite fitting of her lore
- Myers - Clearly shows how much stronger he is than the average survivor as he picks you up with one hand then proceeds to stab you with the other. Could be more tbh.
- Twins - Has 2 animations. One with and without Victor. Prefer the victor one. Not much to say.
C tier:
- Bubba - Good use of the weapons. Fitting for his movies.
- Doctor - Shocking, but not really. The smoke effects coming from the face seem off
- Pig - Could be better... Love how the survivor looks back and there's a little bit of struggle before the Pig slashes their neck.
- Plague - Whisper sweet strange words to me & cover me in your vomit, vommy mamm-.... hmmm, what?....A true DevianArt Fantasy right there... The mori seems weird to me, could be better. I guess, good use of the power?
- Blight - Stab me with syringe, pop balloons. I've seen some crackheads do this behind an alleyway which seemed more impressive.
- Spirit - Good use of angle I guess? Stab and scream at me. Hah... It does remind me of my ex....
D tier:
- Billy - step on someone and a scuffed chainsaw animation trough the back? Really? That's all? Why is it so long ??
- Trapper - Slash slash. That's it
- Wraith - Grabby grabby, stabby stabby. That's it. Hate the weapon sound effects.
Omfg the explanation are hilarious. One of the best posts I have seen on this forum. Have a potato.
-
I find it hilarious how this thread was meant to be about when bugs happened and ######### over the killer but is now just actually awesome plays xD
