yep that would be nice but I dont feel its important enough to merit a spot on the roadmap.

Well, there was one time I looped a Ghostface for all five gens while singing "Heartaches by the Numbers".

    That sounds glorious.

  • Gotta agree with mandy on trapper. I am a blind ######### so I always walk into them

  • Lag if its fully behind :D also you can be blinded by survivor at angles you cant see since its out of FOV.

It was absolutely unexpected. We were both solos and both happened to be on Xbox so we bonded over our shared "Holy #########, did that seriously just happen?!?!" moment.

While this game can be incredibly frustrating at times, these kind of organic moments that you get every so often are why we keep playing :D

Yup that guy was on my friends list forever lol.

I had a killer who just got insanely unlucky as I had exactly what was needed for the situation. My fellow survivor is on the ground near the exit gate (probably ten feet away so close enough it's there but not close enough to realistically escape). I am injured and trying to pick her up and I happen to have that needle addon thing on me, which I use on myself before starting to pick her up.

The killer for whatever reason waits for me to pick up the lady instead of just hitting me. She gets up but she happens to have Soul Guard so the killer hits her for wound and she bolts out the door. The killer then swings at me but my needle has kicked in now so I go from injured to full health as they hit me, now allowing me to escape too.

So many things lined up for that play to work but The Entity smiled upon us that game...

Oooh I love unexpected synergy. I was doing the Yui breakout challenge and the person on the killers shoulders had flip flop power struggle.

Hi! ** EXPLANATION TOP / QUESTION BELOW **

    --- Explanation ---

I faced Blight for the very first time since his original release, and it was completely insane lol. Now I can understand why he's being rated so highly on these forums. The match ended in quite possibly under 5min, all 4 of us 4K dead on hook with 5 gens still up. The pressure was so crazy, at one point all 3 of my teammates were on hook and I was the only one left able to move, I was already injured but I had inner strength up and wanted to find a locker to get into to heal up before trying to go for the saves with Borrowed Time - and the Blight showed up instantly and knocked me down too before I could even find a locker to jump into haha.

Honestly, this isn't a complaint, I was genuinely impressed. I have maybe never ever in my 1000 hours of playing DBD been completely crushed like that before by a Killer. Granted it was a Rank 1 Killer at the end with over 5k hours played, but still, that was a first.

    --- Question ---

I own Blight, and after this experience I would like to try him. (Haven't tried him yet)

    • Can some of you please share your current favorite Perk Builds & Addons to play as him?
    • I am a Red Rank 1 Killer so I will obviously end up starting my Blight Practice against pretty sweaty Red Rank Survivors, therefore I am expecting to lose many of my first matches - but before I even begin to try playing as him I would like to unlock the most highly recommended Perks for his playstyle to give myself at least somewhat of a fighting chance.

If any of you have any videos to watch on you playing Blight in Red Ranks I would be happy to watch that as well to try and learn so feel free to share, thanks!

    AND FINALLY

    • If you aren't trying to withhold this information, can you possibly share some Counterplay I should try to learn as a Survivor facing him? I wouldn't like a repeat of what happened to me last night lol .

Thanks for all the help, Appreciate it!

Pray to the entity before each bump that the object has good colosion :D

Or you could take a mental note of his lunge range and react faster.

Good point I am probably just thinking of wraiths old lunge and am not used to his new lunge and thats why I am so surprised by the length.

  • @PureDoctorMain said:

I think he is fine as is. He is finally decent now people just have to adapt to him. And it only makes sense you're seeing more of him now that the players of the Twins, Hillbilly, and Freddy need to find new killers. Kind of crazy how overnerfed killers see less play therefore other killers see more. People are just excited he is finally viable (and yes I know "every killer is viable" but this make him truly viable) so just let him be for a while y'know let him have his 15 minutes of fame.

Personally I just think they shouldn't of buffed his lunge duration by an extra quarter of a second it was fine where it was.

The long walls that look like L's and T's OP is saying he can lunge all the way around them. Those are some of the best locations for survivors so any killer that can do some damage there will cause flak. Thats not aimed at OP either just in general.

I wouldnt consider LTs one of the best locations for survivors. Maybe most of the survivors play them wrong but it is pretty easy to get hits at them with like a very basic mindgame.

  • @lagosta said:

Nah, only change he needs is the removal of that dreaded Coxcombed addon.

I dont find any of his addons to be an issue. Like coxcombed just mean you have to pay an extra bit of attention to where the killer is.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/250604/never-thought-i-wouldsay-this-but-i-agree-that-wraith-needs-to-be-toned-down-a-bit

he has always had that lunge why is this becoming a problem. They reduced the uncloak speed enough to get me to run uncloaking add-ons. Don't get me wrong I love the new wraith but he's not S-tier. So at most we talking A-tier and probably towards the middle to end of the A-tier list so why does Wraith not deserve this? More killers that are viable the less spirits you will see hypothetically. I run everyone from time to time PIG, Fred, Huntress just being my most ran I'm just speaking on the ones who feel the need to run the best ######### all the time.

I always hated his lunge but I didnt mind it cause that was literally the only thing he had going for him. Now he has really good mobility and can catch up after hits really fast anyway so I just personally don't think its needed.

  • The main menu is a bit of a mess. The "difficulty" thing makes 0 sense since myers is "hard" and billy is "easy". Also still says myers has 8m TR.

Only spirit and nurse can deal with haddonfield. Clearly in the video even coconut can't do anything, and he is a pretty good huntress main.

Hag aswell and slinger could have probably gotten some shots. Coco missed a hatchet on the felix which is a pretty hard shot but he also knows he is way overcommiting. I am not saying haddonfield is fair cause it really isnt but most of the 110 killers deal with it better than the likes of GF and Myers

The problem isn't that the Plague's map is in a forest (Babylon had the so-called "Hanging Gardens", FYI), it's that the forest itself is in Russia, on the other end of the continent.

Yeah I forgot to mention the whole it being in russia part. DBD maps are just wack.

Coconut showed us today why Haddonfield is a problem with full on evidence

Imagine this with Trickster or any 110% killer, Haddonfield is incredibly outdated and I am solely surprised this map has not been looked into

Ok I have to disagree with "Imagine this with Trickster or any 110% killer" the 110 killers are actually better than a lot of 115 on haddonfield cause of how strong their powers are except for Trickster but he will always get a hit it just takes a ######### ton of time.

  • Yeah its just one of the places they are most associated with. Hag can really be from anywhere TBH as a lot of maps make 0 sense like why does a babylonian priest have their temple in a thick forest.

Where'd you hear that? I tried searching for the word "Louisiana" in her article on the wiki, as well as her lore from the Archives, but I found no such thing.

You are right about her age, though. I guess I'm just hoping she remembers the stuff her grandma taught her.

Mostly just her map having a steamboat. DBD lore is really vague so half the time you just gonna guess.

Drayton Sawyer taught Bubba, and Bubba taught everyone else.

So Bubba would likely be a good chef taught by his father.

  • Yeah I know in the movies it isnt leatherface who makes the chilli but the fact one of his teachables is BBQ and Chilli does imply he knows how to cook and knows to a degree high enough to teach others.

Overblinking is easily countered by looking down. This addon increases the overall time required to blink, so short quick blinks no longer are a thing.

About the hatchet, actually it would make sense to get that effect only once, then 3 more times with no chance to not throw etc. Still, the addon is super strong, you can instantly injure someone (combine that with a flight speed addon)

An addon being super strong but completely reliant on RNG is not a good idea. Overblinking can be countered by looking down but it takes a lot longer to blink to that spot and it makes it a lot easier to dodge this would be a crutch for bad nurses it makes her power worse but removes skiller.

    • Throw hatchet action has a 15% chance to not work, causing basic attacks and hatchet throws to be disabled for 1.5 seconds

please no more RNG the last thing I want is not being able to use my power or even m1 for several seconds a game.

    • Realising the blink before it is fully charged cancells the blink action
    • When the blink is fully charged, immediatly start blinking
    • While blinking, release the power button to stop blinking

Also a pretty bad idea it just removes skill of knowing how much to charge blinks and also removes some counterplay of making the nurse overblink.

  • Inner pockets

Trickster now shoots knives in a 3 knife burst.

Considerably decreases survivors laceration meter (down to 6 so 2 bursts for a hit)

"Please stop asking where he holds 60 knives."

  • Like dodging a hatchet :) remember a lot of demos dont run rat liver anymore so you are slightly faster than them.

  • Run detectives hunch /s

But really it can be better not to cleanse dull totems not only is it wasting time spent not healing/doing gens/unhooking etc but if you know where 3 of the dull totems are just run to each of them and there is a 60% chance its one of them but if you had cleansed them it will be one of the two totems you dont know about. The only time its worth it to cleanse dulls to counter NOED is if you know where all 5 of them are.

Now this right here is the kinda stuff that restores my faith in this community; people willing to write Declaration Of Independence long posts to help someone improve, great stuff!

I have an ass-load of homework I need to get too, but if I have the time later I'll try and give some critiques.

I had a geography and irish exam the next morning lmao thats why I only analysed 1 match xD. I just always find these super helpful when people do them for me so I wanted to try and help other people out.

  • honestly an awful nerf. it doenst remove the whole aspect of he is just boring and makes him even more boring for killer players.

  • Funnily enough I think I got that challenge first time. Your typical solo Q game where nobody does gens is all it takes. Throw on Bond and Provethyself so you can see what gens other people are working on and join them to finish it. Even bring better together to get survivors to group up on your gen.

  • Honestly since less people are running DS an obsession base can be an advantage for the killer. I had survivors not realise I was running STBFL until I got a decent amount of stacks cause of base obsession.

  • Yep I think each devotion level should give you a charm and achievements should also give charms/cosmetics for whatever killer the challenge is for.

Shelter Woods is IMO the best map for Blight because there are so many trees to bump on and a large, open area to easily down survivors.

Yeah the amount of trees and ######### loops is nice but I still feel its not quite worth of being S tier but thats just my opinion.

Bought a plushy of that one as a present, she loves it.

I wish I had a plushie of one where did ya get it?

  • Personally I do not like shelter than much. I find those stumps(not actual trees the weird stumps) have very iffy collosion. I also dont think groaning is S considering its main building but at least blight can play around that mess somehow

  • Honestly I would prefer if they made his power worthy of being a 110 than just making him a 115

Legit playing that as i read this comment for the first time.

    You've got taste.

Great game btw Tabby slime best slime.

  • First of all I am not the best killer and other people probably are giving way better feedback but I just gonna say what I saw wrong in the 2nd match also I dont play Pig much so there might be some misplays of her power I miss

@29:02 Pointless crouch you just spawned in and whispers is off so there is no survivors near you there is no need to sneak it just slows you down.

@29:38 You kinda just mindgamed yourself and I struggle with corn vision a bit too but it was pretty obvious from her movement during the pallet break she was going straight

@29:51 It is a bit of a useless kick there is barely any progress on the gen and you are spending 3 seconds to kick it

@30:10 I am not 100% sure since you werent looking but feng made the falling noise which would have been a free hit since you are so close.

@30:10 Also you shouldn't ditch the feng to chase Claudette. She has much more distance and is running to shack which is a very strong loop against a lot of killers includint pig

@30:31 You just kinda spin around if it was an attempt at a mindgame you are too near the window and the Claudette can see you

@30:42 That window is entity blocked and the Claudette has a medkit so she will be able to heal quickly by herself if you leave her alone

@30:42 Pointless crouch Dwight is literally looking at you. It is just wasting time by crouching and uncrouching.

@30:45 Are you looking for another survivor or did you just lose Dwight? If there was a 2nd survivor working on it would likely have much more progress.

@31:33 Claudette is at a strong loop however it is very likely she is almost fully healed.

@31:35 Good use of coruch you know Dwight likely went back to his gen and stay out of LOS giving you a free hit.

@32:10 I cant really comment on this chase except Dwight seems to be bad at looping and like to hold W. He might be the weak link in the team that you can tunnel to cripple their gen speeds. Yes people dont like tunneling but one of the best ways to win as killer is just tunnel the weakest link.

@32:51 Ignoring the healthy Nea to down Dwight again smart.

@33:00 You try to decide weather to chase Nea or not and make the right choice to just pick up Dwight. You probably should have made the decision a bit faster as Dwight almost made it to the pallet so his team could pallet save hit.

@33:20 Once again a pointless crouch they might not seem like a big deal but these are beginning to pile up.

@33:44 Another minor thing but you probably should have went towards the other survivors to hook Claudette it would just be a minor time save.

@34:06 You miss an injured Dwight on a box this is a pretty huge mistake. Even just making him stop the action would have made him take another 12 seconds. A few second later you can also hear his whimpering

@34:35 You can hear the repair noise of someone being on a gen but you miss it.

@33:45 You now finally get into another chase. You had spent a minute out of chase even though twice you heard audio clues as to where survivors were.

@33:55 I think that was just a weird deadhard unlucky

@35:01 Once again you see Claudette leaving yet you still mindgame yourself and even search a locker.

@35:32 You miss the Nea crouching behind the bales.

@35:59 There is no repair sounds which means there is likely nobody on it right now charging ambush from that distance is too risky even if someone was on the gen they could probably avoid it.

@36:06 Once again a pointless crouch there is no point crouching only to uncrouch moments later unless you are mindgaming someone to leave a loop by faking ambush

@36:18 It may have been worth it to kick this gen it is very VERY close to being finished and it appears Nea was the only one working on it unless there was another survivor hiding nearby

@36:56 Never open doors unless you are setting up for some bloodwarden play you are doing the survivors objective for them and a save on Nea with BT guarantees her escape.

@37:28 Had the doors not been open you could have slugged the Nea and camp her and feng at the same time.

@37:46 You try to slug and camp them both but you have already carried Nea for 9 seconds and dropped her so she is very close to wiggling off.

@38:08 Really no reason to leave these two. Once survivor is trying to get your attention by cleansing NOED and dropping a pallet while the other one is coming in for the rescue and escape

@38:21 I barely caught it but there is scratchmarks right in front of you pause the video to see them.

All in all not the worst match you didnt depip and still got 5 hooks. Mainly where you struggled was just missing things visually or audibly

BTW: I hope this post doesn't come off as rude I was just showing as many mistakes as I could see, we all have rough games and I have had worse games than this with killers much better than pig.

  • @BarbecueiChilli said:

    Nothing

I think they should remove collosion so the killer cant bodyblock the BT person into a corner or something and the person with BT cant bodyblock the killer. Other than that its perfect and honestly it should be buffed back up to 15 seconds.

  • Considering myers is one of the weakest killers its not hard to be myers but better.

  • @Mooks said:

No, if someone gets hit with Endurance the unhook will still be safe. BT pretty much guarantees a safe unhook except for when a good and dedicated Bubba gets a double hit with one chainsaw swing or if the survivor runs into the killer after getting hit with the Endurance effect

    Or the survivor gets grabbed.

Then why should the reason for loads of people wanting spirit and Freddy being nerfed be valid.

Skill ceiling is a necessary factor when making powers, and her power isn't an instant win at god tier against as equally good survivors.

The issue with nurse is once you master her you can go against the deathsquads, which instantly means normal solo queue players are on the backfoot against a nurse master. And I'm not talking about the semi decent players.im talking nurse 800 + hours and still going nurse mains.

The things that work against even god tier nurses:

    LOS blockers and mindgames,

    Stealth,

    Just normal mindgames.

The issue is, most people don't play against nurse as she's meant to be played against. And play against her as if against any other killer. That's the issue, you need an entirely different mindset when fighting a nurse.

That's part of what makes her so much more powerful.

Yeah I am not saying she is broken or anything that example was just an extreme but even if its really hard to do something doesnt mean its fair or fun for the other side. Spirit is a much bigger issue than nurse for me as she can do simalar things to nurse without the whole learning process and skill.

  • Blight I just find it really cool how he was originally a survivor and became a killer.

  • Personally I do not think a safe unhook should be a requirement for any perks and personally think it should be removed from deliverance and replaced with something else. A strong perk with safe unhooks are either gonna be cheesed with BT or most killers will tunnel off hook to try and deny this perk.

By finish a gen do you mean repair a gen for 80 charges or just be there when the gen pops. I can see SWFs 99ing a gen then having 3 people come over to proc their mom.

  • Yep thats why I have stopped playing blight without map offerings.

  • @Gwinty said:

    Ghostface.

Fun killer to use, fun killer to counter. His playstile has a clear counterplay for the survivors and if you pull him off he is rewarding for the player. Maybe a bit cooldown reliant for his add ones, but overall fine.

    Plague.

Interesting to play against, the cleansing mechanic forces you to think twice and you have a clear indicator when she has the most power. Some goes for Oni.

I do not think Ghostface is balanced at all. Imo he is one of the weakest killers.
