I think he's pretty balanced at the moment.
Yeah he is pretty mid tier imo I was just kinda thinking of random changes to killers

Its a cake but in a perk slot.

I still think ranks should just be removed altogether.
This is a party game.People need to not take it so seriously.
nope SBMM is gonna be a pain in the ass. It will become the games biggest flaw

its a video so he would have to upload it to yt

Agreed. Good perk. I just preferred other perks over time as I got more experience.
Yeah I agree that it isnt as useful for me at loops since I can already track blod as it is when someone less experience but honestly the extended duration is pretty clutch sometimes for claudettes crouching behind rocks and it makes it really easy to track blood at a fairly sizeable distance if you just get some highground. I have been kinda struggling with demo since my only tracking with any range was rancor but on sanctum with bloodhound I could see the injured people from really far away by just standing up on the sanctum. It is definetly less useful to better players in loops but I feel it offers better benefits and too often its just not spoken about or written off as a perk for new killers.

Bloodhound and sloppy butcher was my go-to combo when I was starting out. It's still very effective, but once you start picking up on what blood looks like and you find yourself looking out for it, then it frees up a slot that could be better used for Gen regression or Aura information.
Blood is fairly easy to spot in loops and bright maps but darker maps can be a pain in the ass to try and track blood and also bloodhound literally let me see an injured ash going for a unhook from really far away cause he was leaving a bright red trail behind him. Maybe its just cause I have bad vision but I would have never seen blood from that distance without it glowing.

It has the same issue as Shadowborn or Stridor. It's a "feel comfy" Perk. If you get to used to it, you can't play without it.
I used Shadowborn for quite a long time, dropped it since it's an addiction. Same with Stridor, I got addicted to the nicer sounds on every Killer. I still run it on Nurse though, hearing people trough walls and blinking point blank is nice and maybe on Spirit if I get so mad about 30 million Iron Wills every match.
I can see why people like Bloodhound, and I would like to like it too, but I know on which path it will take me in once I start using it, so no. I will refuse to use it.
Tbh I dont really find it addicting I just find it useful. Like its not a perk I would run all the time but that with sloppy give such juicy info and its great for countering IW. It is actually pretty solid and I never see people talk about it and when they do its not really calling it a good perk.
-
I feel they cant really have smart powers tbh. Like they cant just give nemesis a rocket launcher and mr X doesnt really do much except punch things and be stronk.
-
I would ask them what the date is cause I probably wouldnt be able to remember it KeK

@Northener1907 said:
If you are not so good as killer and if you wanna 4K most of your matches, just play Spirit. She does not need any skill. Put Stridor for counterplay Iron Will. And good headset. And 15 - 20 matches to learn her power.
And then you can destroy survivors with 0 skill. You will have easiest matches ever in DBD you have.
Even Twins have nerf but this girl has lucky. She is here, still 0 counterplay and op powers.
Yes I want to get good enough at the game that I can 4k every single game. As speed limiter bubba.
-
For me personally its not even her power. I hate her passive phasing its just free mindgames and makes it a pain in the ass to stun her cause randomly she is teleported like a meter closer or further.

If it's now intentional, has counters and other systems are able to do it. Then I guess it's fine.
I am pretty sure its intentional and other systems can do it yet it has less counterplay than J flicks. J flicks could be dodged if you changed direction these flicks give the blight a lot more control to readjust if you do something like this.

Drug addict. I enjoy how this describes both a survivor and a killer.

They made essentially a different way of doing a 180 degree flick where you turn during the rush 90 degree then do another 90 degree flick . I have seen some people call it the Z-flick or Zombie flick.

Apparently you don't even need to change your DPI anymore, you can just flick a 180.
Honest question, does BHVR test any of their changes before pushing them to live? Do they even have a QA team, and if they do, like... what are they even getting paid for when stuff like this gets pushed to live when a single test would show that BHVR very clearly did not fix the problem.
Or hey, maybe they did and this is intended. Who knows at this point?
So keep J flicking to your hearts content, because who knows how long it will take BHVR to actually fix it. Along with the rest of the problems they said they fixed with blight then they actually made it worse.
I am pretty sure its now a feature even consoles can do it :D
Guess people will just have to learn predicting flicks.

But Nurse did get her rework before Demo got out, didn’t she? And I think that’s when they started with individual chase music?
nurse got her VISUAL rework along with clown during the patch with desync and new game. I was hoping for new music too but sadly not.
-
Key and 3 toolboxes or as survivor 3 man SWFs. I play solo and have had 3 games with 3 mans that literally just went out of their way to like bodyblock me in a corner and spam lockers next to the gen I was working on.

At least that's what I'm getting from these patch notes. Also, he should be much nicer to play on console, so thanks to everyone for bringing attention to his serious issues there (particularly @Bloodshade for their really in-depth thread on the matter).
and they added a new version that can be done on console :D
-
I would have guessed they would do it with visual reworks but nurse got reworked and no music soo.

Also its doable on console now :D

Blight overtake Spirit after a bug fix that removed a powerful unintended interaction? Did I get it right?
they removed J flicks but added Z flicks. It does the same thing as a J flick but way more consistent and can be done on console.

this does essentially what j flick did, no?
so is this going to be called an exploit too?
sad little community and its armchair game designers
no J flick was an exploit that could only be done on PC by abusing a bug where if you were using a high enough sense you could break the cap on turning. This is using that you can turn 90 degrees in the attack aswell as the rush and is even possible on consoles.
They have the same result but different methods.

I always thought ghost face was kind of OP but this week I've been trying really really hard to get better at looping and just general pallet usage and I went against a ghost face recently that was like "Huh... was he always this easy?"
He literally has nothing to help him loop. He is literally just knife man in loops lol.

Hmm I think I there was some talk there's going to be two killers but that was quickly dismissed by the fact BHVR barely manages to develop 1 functioning killer in 3 months. 2 might be pushing it too hard + the quality would drop tremendously as they'd need to split resources over 2 complex characters.
I'd prefer us getting 1 well developed killer insted of 2 underdeveloped.
BHVR: Best we can do is 1 underdeveloped

@BHVR_Fan said:
Hello. The developers go through almost every killer, making changes to make it fit better into current game state. But what about the Ghost Face? Do you think he needs any changes?
My personal opinion on this: he's a fairly strong killer in hands of someone who knows how to actually use his power. But there is a problem with the way his power recovery works. Picture this: you marked a survivor, chased them for a little bit and downed them — you get a 30 seconds recovery (Fixed with addons). But if Survivor manages to reveal you during the chase, stun you with the pallet or you just swing into the air, by the time you downed that Survivor you'll have your power at least 50% and when you hook them it'll be fully recovered. So you pretty much want survivor to reveal you or get stunned to get your power back when you need it. In my opinion it's not how it should be. Solution is simple: whenever you hit marked survivor, you get 50% of your power back and when you hit survivor during the Night Shroud (not marked), you get 25% of your power back.
And the last question, would you like him to have his own terror radius and chase music?
Any opinions are welcome, but please express yourself constructively and be specific as much as you can
Extremely overrated. Most people think he is mid tier but in my opinion he is pretty damn low. My main issue with him is his complete lack of antiloop or mobility. Any survivor that see you coming or has spinechill ruins the hit and run playstyle and wraith already does hit and run better. He is definitely on of the weakest killers in the game.

For me it is and it also falls into the same category of not very problematic cheats and before someone comes with the "SWFs with comms are unbeatable" they are beatable, ive done it numerous times.
Those are cheats that I dont really give a damn because they are not as gamebreaking as moving 5%/10% faster, teleporting, stretched resolution etc, you can beat Huntresses and SWFs with crosshairs and comms but try beating a Survivor or a Killer moving 10% faster.
Yeah its just by your logic of if its an advantage not in the game then most of the developers are cheating for using discord in a swf.
-
@HectorBrando said:
If the game doesnt have an inbuilt crosshairs and you put one yourself I consider it cheating since you are using something the devs didnt want you to use, they would have given a crosshair if they wanted those Killers to be played with one.
That being said, its not a very problematic cheat and its usually done by very bad players who are going to get looped and dodged anyway.
So then is discord a cheat? If the devs wanted survivors to have communications they would have adden and ingame voice channel.

being chased around a loop is more fun than chasing isn't it
Not for me. I still prefer killer but archives have been making me play survivor.
-
Kinda if their steam profile is set to public and shows their achievements then you could look if they got the rank 10, 5 and 1 achievements but that doesnt really mean much cause they could be rank 2 missing only 1 pip or they could be a rank 5 with 0 pips.

Trickster is onyl 0.4 m/s faster than a survivor so if you see them far away it can feel take like it takes ages to catch up.

Solo mod is really terrible. If your teammates do gens fast you will have win chance but most of them just not doing anything. That is maybe because of matchmaking i dont know. I am red rank but so rare we playing full red rank. Usually 2 red (or 1 red & 1 purple) & 1 green & 1 yellow. And that makes games hard for everyone. And you do not know about your team skills.
But swf is different. You know your friends skills. You are trusting them. You know everyone doing objectives. That makes game playable for survivors.
I know most killers blaming swf teams but i can not see any different for killer. Some of them are sweat teams but most of them just normal survivors. They are just playing with their friends. You can not force people to play solo. If you do that, people will stop play.
And also killers have high rates on all ranks. I do not know what killers waiting. %95 killing rates?
"And also killers have high rates on all ranks."
That is because most games are against solos if it was against SWF they would probably be different.
In terms of strenght SWF is better than Killer but killer is better than SoloQ

Killer would go over, smack them down (which was why they never hooked people) and then go right back to standing in front of the gen. Rinse and repeat.
eventually they will bleed out in that case bleeding people out is a dick move but not holding the game hostage
-
I mean what does this counter GF, MYC, Iron maiden, clown with pinky finger, charlote with pendant, haunted and starstruck. Most of those arent that amazing that they need a perk to counter them
-
No its still possible to finish the last 2 gens just have someone kidnap victor.

So this thread is all about how to be as efficient as possible at camping, perhaps talking about what killers is best for this defensive playstyle and how to use them, if people want to share their knowledge. The other team won't like it but they don't have to like it right. If you want to complain about camping start another thread. A few things I'm thinking of if you want to become an elite camper:
1: First of all you should reach Rank 1 playing "normal" so that your overall game is good. To be a good camper you must be able to end chases fast, the standing around/patrol part anyone can do even new players. Many survivors thinks a camping killer is bad at the game and then makes mistakes because they underestimate the killer.
2: Playing "dirty" like keep hitting a hooked survivor or showing them that you won't ever leave them alone can make the survivor DC or hook suicide, that is more or less you winning the game only using psychology to get them of balance. But you do this only to win, not to be toxic of course.
Killer: While everyone will say Bubba is the best camping killer I got a better result using Doctor when I tried camping for a few days. Why? Because with Bubba they respected the killer and did gens. With Doctor they tried to unhook instead and I almost got 4k in all games. Doctor can also shock survivors trying to unhook so the hooked survivor reach struggle state. And if survivors were still around in the end game NOED kicked in and Doctor is very good at finding survivors. What killers do you use for camping and how do you use them for this playstyle?
Perks: NOED is always good because if the team just do gens you still have a good chance getting kills in the end since they never focus on totems while you camp, it's either gens or the unhook survivors focus on.
Agitation is always good also for fast hooks and/or basement. Perhaps Starstruck can be good when survivors try to protect the unhooked survivor, and No Way Out could be good with NOED for the end game if survivors live that long? I have yet to try them since I almost only play survivor these days.
Trickster can camp half decetly if you use like shatter and piercing knives.

Toxic Yes
Holding game hostage No

No. Imagine logging in to play and someone modded the game so Survivors glow through walls all the time.
Or modded Nurse to oneshot Survivors.
Or made the Killer invisible.
Or made Survivors invisible.
But hackers already do that lol

@[Deleted User] said:
I do. You're using something that isn't a part of the game that also helps you a ton. That in my head spells unfair to other people who don't use it.
I don't wanna judge anyone for using it. It's probably because they're bad and need the help. But at the same time, a try-hard using it and eliminating any and all chances of error seems like a good candidate for judgment :D
I actually kinda like the idea of adding it to the game as an option. I'd love to test how it improves Huntress' kill rates, if at all.
so using good headphones is cheating? It isnt part of the game without them and gives a massive advantage
