Third Seal can be destroyed. Knockout is 16m at Tier3. If your team can't run and find you from 16m away. I don't know what to tell you. Survivor groups have to ######### up a LOT. To have the entire team slugged at once

I dunno what to tell you you're clearly biased maybe try playing a few rounds of survivor against slugging killers see what you make of it then

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/255627/24000-bp-for-slugging-seriously

Your posts are as uninspired and worse then sluzzys. It's simple if your whole group got slugged at once. That's YOUR fault and YOUR group played poorly. While the killer played well.

Your group put yourself in the position to be close enough all at once to get slugged all at the same time without any time to get pick ups. Play better and stop blaming the killer for YOUR mistakes

If you think that then you must be a fan to have read all my posts so thanks I aim to keep you entertained

  • Tbh I don't play killer but I do during events just to be nice to survivors so they get that limited time only cosmetic just because I know people like you exist that will stop at nothing to spoil the event.

  • @Yords said:

On top of what it already does:

Reveals the aura of the killer for 5 seconds when a survivor is injured by a basic attack.

This would make it a lot less situational.

Honestly I only started using Alert yesterday I didn't realise what a great perk it is especially in high ranks but not red obviously the killers do the break action nearly all game I got to see when he was heading to my gen just because a gen was nearby and he kicked it or a pallet was left from a chase. I wouldn't say I would make a main perk but it is up there in helpful perks.

Do you ever feel that your teammates, your friends, could have played better? Do you ever feel that you have to carry them? I've felt that way on many occasions and especially tonight. I realize it was a 3-genning Doctor, but he was rank 14 and left his 3-gen for way too long and still none of them got done. I felt that my teammates had thrown the match. How do you respond to situations like this?

How I responded to this was rather brash, turning off my PS4 and not saying a word to my friends. But after cooling off, I decided to apply the wise mentality of a sports player who I can't remember the name of. It was in response to an interviewer's venomous question, something along the lines of "Does your team perform better when he's on the bench or when he's off it?" In response the player pretty much said, "You're just trying to get a shocking statement out of me. We're a team. When we win we win, and when we lose we lose. Stop trying to pit us against each other." And that made me think also of "Your team is only as strong as its weakest member." Perhaps my anger was the shock-baiting interviewer. Perhaps I'm not blameless when my team fails. Maybe it was my responsibility to teach the less experienced how to play efficiently, and I failed them in that. So the next time you experience the anger and disappointment that I felt towards my friends, keep your spirits high, learn and improve, and hope to do better next time.

Haha I used to play with my sister and her boyfriend who was rank 20 the amount of times he's struggled on hook for no reason, been grabbed off of gens and just can't loop to save his life I'm used to it there are times I've wanted to yell at him but that is counter productive instead I tell him where he went wrong so he can better improve his technique. I even de-ranked from rank 4 just to teach him in the lower ranks whilst also keeping it fun for the killer by lowering my own gameplay.

I'm opening this topic to understand our friends who play the other role. So i am asking killer mains. But survivor mains also can answer. Different opinions will give us different perceptions. Next time i will open different topic for killers problem and i will ask survivors mains but today lets talk about tunnel and camp.

How are you feeling about tunnelling and camping when you play survivor? And when you get tunnel one after another. Do you feeling mad to that killers or just respecting him tactic and gameplay?

As a survivor I hate the feeling of being in a match and not getting to do anything if I get tunneled after I pop a gen fair enough I'm actually a threat but to tunnel me as soon as I spawned in is in my opinion pathetic same with camping. Will I complain yes do I see it as a tactic of course I do I've done it myself to eradicate the best gen rusher or the worst looper

  • I think his hit boxes are fine there have been times when I ran past a trap and somehow still got sucked into it also getting pulled into it by vaulting over them with pallets and windows.

Ugh, this is one of the worst survivor complaints of all time. The doors are either killer friendly or survivor friendly. There’s no “rework” or “balance” to be had. They are either far enough apart to make it impossible for the killer to stop a survivor from opening one, or they’re close enough that a survivor can’t get one open. This of course assumes only one survivor is left and both the killer and survivor are competent players.

What survivors want when they say “fix door spawns” is they want a 100% chance to open the door. How is that fair to the killer, lol. There is so much RNG in the game, this is just more of it.

Also it’s very subjective. I swear when I am alone against a killer, the doors are almost always far enough apart that I can open one. And when I play killer they almost always seem close enough that the last survivor is screwed. Maybe I’m just lucky.

And since this is only an issue when there’s only one survivor left, this means the killer has killed three survivors, closed the hatch, and in most cases, has stopped you from doing all five gens. And now they’re supposed to just not have a shot to get the fourth survivor?

Wrong with ranged killers it's almost impossible of the doors are close together me and my friend just had a match where a huntress got an undeserving 3k by camping the gates that spawned right next to each other and this isn't the first time this has happened. The only ranged killer who you stand a chance against in this scenario is trickster.

I understand that I can do fairly well in the game, I've really enjoyed my as of current time 600 hours in it. I main killer and I have enjoyed leveling a few up to 50 so far, finding what works best for me and while I find the grind tedious it does allow me some leisure to learn a killer that's not a problem.

My hardest and biggest gripe now is that I don't know what's been going on since Wednesday but whatever it is I've checked every single profile I can before match start and I am starting to get very, very burnt out.

It's incredibly depressing, disheartening, and takes away all fun of the game when I'm consistently and frequently matched against survivors that literally have as I noted, 4000-9000 hours of play time.

Out of the 20 games I have played, the lowest player hours I've been pitted against was one just over 2500, with 4000-6000 being the most common, with the occasional 6000+

These matches are not fun, they outclass me in skill level so strongly I can't even imagine them having any fun either, I've had players even mercy me a hook at the end because they stomped me so devastatingly hard.

I do my best to play these out in hopes I Might learn something out of these games, I've watched videos of Fog Whisperers and even engaged in their streams for advice on what to do about strong teams, and it's a dagger in my heart when the common answer is; "There's really nothing you can do against good survivors."

I just really needed to get this off my chest and I hope there's a future for players like me some day soon, because the current rank system seems to punish mid-range time invested players like myself.

I hope it isn't confirmation bias as well, Hopeful one day this trend corrects itself, but going on 4 days of it I'm concerned, worried even this is the normal now.

Uh huh bad matchmaking needs to go I can be put with a rank 20 killer when I'm a rank 9 I am atm giving the killer a free kill because I feel awful about all the red ranks being horrible throwing their meta perks and torches at them.

MMR worked really well I thought all my matches were really well balanced but as soon as they took it off it started all this horrible mess of matching.

  • @reeves7 said:

Every match i play is laggy and it always disconnects 1 player. Fix your servers bhvr its becoming extremely annoying

Do you play on console because I know on Xbox if you get slapped with hemorage and broken the game basically can't cope and you run into a wall every damn chase. Think it's just bad optimisation and latency the game is well known for all this.

  • @beaupresto said:

Exhausted on the ground after pressing the active button for this perk is ridiculous. If you press that button before the killer connects with you body that should be a miss....simple. Killers swinging through dead hard, hitting survivors in the dead hard animation or even getting a hit before the animation starts and you obviously see you’re exhausted but it didn’t work is a problem and needs to be fixed. I find it crazy how survivors get a bug such as killers not being stunnable, killers having maxed coupe de grace and they didn’t even have the perk.... (them shits didn’t get fixed for weeks) but let a survivor get a bug where we can’t get hit while in a vaulting animation..........the tears will have that ######### fixed within 1 day. Make it make sense can we get some equality please. And before you killers attack me i have no sympathy for you. I am a survivor main i never touch killer unless there is a ritual, and i’m a rank 2 killer. I haven’t touched a killer blood web or leveled up any killer at all on this game, and i destroy red ranks and swfs with one tier 1 perk and no add ons every different killer ritual i get. Consistent killers and killer mains get a power, 4 perks, and add ons to increase their power to get 4ks if they have some iq and knowledge of the game . I’m doing all that with no perks and just IQ, but SuRvIV0rS are s0000 op and at a shed of any tear we get nerfed, perks nerfed, and bugs that cripple us sit on the game for weeks. Make it make sense we need more equality. Shoutout to the community and killer mains i love y’all 🖤

Dead Hard needs alotta love I used to love using that perk but latency made me hate it. Click the button bam exhausted no dead hard, hit button killer misses from a mile and bam exhausted on ground. The latency is so bad on this perk I hate it.

I'm done with wraith, every single time i go against wraith its always wraith with 0 skill, they just play the hit and run playstyle and tunnel me. How does wraith require any skill, please explain i want to be proven wrong. I think i am pretty damn good survivor. Like there is no possible way to get any chase interaction against wraith, they either abandon the loop or caught you when you are in extremly unsafe loop, or complete deadzone.

He doesn't I used to main him and played him once after the buff but didn't like it they made him too easy all I have to do is cloak mid chase and unclean to get my boost and lunge range and I 4k it's bor8mg at least before I had to use my head and think is this chase worth it.

Seriously man, that is team game. I am doing generator for team, not for myself. If you bring killer to my face, i have to leave generator. And if killer has ruin we will lose good time.

I can understand if you are dead on hook, i will gladly take killer attention on me in that case. But so many times that's your not last hook. Please even you down do not do that.

So many solo survivors doing that and i can not see point. What is your plan? Gives killer's attention on me and save yourself. I swear so selfish.

I hope MMR will make me team better survivors.

I can't tell if you're baiting here you do realise gens spawn near loops right survivors need loops to win if you're on a gen near a safe loop try and continue it unnoticed. Maybe you're that teamate that runs away as soon as killer is looking in your direction. But one thing is for sure stop accusing people of bringing killer to you it isn't their fault alot of the time.

When we talk about changes I think that killers feel entitled to demand changes, but generally I find that survivors are more entitled. But I admit that only I meet more entitled survivors since there are generally more survivor mains than survivor mains.

I think both sides can be very entitled and equally so killers want easier 4ks and survivors want more escapes it's a 50/50 thing but I must admit survivors do act more entitled in the fact of posts on the forums.

Luckily I'm a purple rank player but playing against strong killers and it feels like red ranks already.

Ah yea purple ranks that's rough it's no wonder people try to stay in the middle honestly lack of killer variety and unfun matches really take a toll on you.

Who do you think is the most handsome and the most ugly survivor in the game?

For me, the most handsome one will ALWAYS be a fight between Steve vs David, and the ugliest survivor award goes to Quentin vs Steve with Jonathan's skin

Handsome is Felix or Steve and ugly well no one beats Quentin in that category I mean Nea comes close but Jonathan has stolen that spot now I think.

  • @Anniehere said:

Sometimes i play against the same killer but a different player.

The only thing i noticed is that their Rank is the same.

It can be Hag 4 times in a row.

Is it also related to matchmaking?

Here's a tip get out of red ranks there's more RNG that way I went against a clown today and I don't like him but I was so excited to see anything but a spirit or nurse.

  • @FrndlyChnswSalzmn said:

Per the title. I'm asking this because I fired up DbD just now thinking 'I'll have some fun and mess around on Killer."

and as I looked through the roster.....I was immediately unable to settle on a single Killer who was unmitigated fun. All of them are miserable. All of them are so much work to play except Bubba that I closed DbD. This topic is not just to express my annoyance at what could and should be a very fun and unique experience; it's to genuinely ask: When do Killers get to have fun? I spent all night last night practicing Nurse and she's kinda fun, but it'll be hundreds of hours before I get good enough to not consistently get destroyed while playing her so really it's just work.

So: What Killer do you find 'fun'? What's fun about them?

GF is really fun to play as but not so much against but I know everyone enjoys a sneaky Myers.

  • I'm against this idea I play swf alot I cant stand solo in this game atm if you saw I was in a swf you would bring a whole build dedicated to destroying my team despite the fact I was playing for fun the whole time it would just destroy casual swf players.

  • Probably needed to complete the left behind challenge in the time it's annoying at the best of times but since that challenge you get people just chilling, working with killers and blending while doing nothing but totems all game they also like to key out early.

  • Hold up all this time I could have been safely unhooking myself....

So then by this logic should hiding be made reportable, its slowing the game down when the survivor could just be doing a gen, and I dont wanna hear any of that legit tactics BS.

No because as long as they've started gens then the game is progressing if the killer can't find someone that's on him but what OP is saying makes more sense why should killers be allowed to down all survivors have them all near each other and not hook each one to end the match quicker. If the match can end quicker than it is why shouldn't the killer be classed as taking game hostage or at very least it should fall under exploiting a game mechanic.

  • @VikingWilson said:

Is it just me? Or is the sound off for killer radius?

There are no stealth perks, no Tinkerer, anything, and suddenly a killer, with a 32m terror radius, is right up on you within two heart beats.

I mean I had a match yesterday where I heard 2 faint heart beats and a spirit just came running around the corner I just assumed she phased and I didn't hear the weird noise it makes. Also the killer had some really bad latency I don't know if that plays into it.

Learn how to get chased. BBQ isn't a problematic perk, and it's weaker than WGLF.

Told ya same thing every time this is part the reason I'm not playing as much as I used to killers get away with too much and if a survivor even thinks about walking past the last gen they're holding games hostage NVM if the killer is camping the gens and only running after the survivors a small distance away. If we refuse to play to his rules we're in the wrong.

That's actually a rare example of the killer holding the game hostage, just for the record.

Really because I've been told it's not because the other survivors can do a gen while you bait the killer into another gen or just dying so someone gets hatch oh and it's survivors 3 gening themselves so it's not classed as taking game hostage because game can still end by keying out or one survivor dying. Just some of the things I've read on here.

Now, I don't wanna hear any of that 'slugging is a legit tactic and sometimes necessary' stuff. This is about people who go and slug right from the start, leaving people to bleed out. maybe with the exception of the obsession for the extra points. and of course they'll go and knock down anyone with UB immediately.

Cause by all means that is holding the game hostage, which is banable iirc.

My advice find a new game to play while you wait out your DC or if you're on PC just open a new window and watch YouTube while they slug. Can't believe people think balance comes with perks honestly balance comes when killers can get reported for the same things survivors can.

I have asked this exact question and all you get is it's a tactic BS and Killers can't hold game hostage because the game will end when you bleed out. Personally I think it needs to be made reportable the killer can end match instantly but is choosing to slow down game time and not do his objectives this I would say is holding a match hostage

  • Any killer that says they only run it for BP is lying I've seen killers running it in red ranks they always spin round and look where the survivors are then go off towards them and spirit is the worst culprit of that exact play style hook, check phase repeat. It's boring and unfun for survivors sure hide in a locker but most maps have dead zones where lockers never spawn and when you're there you are guaranteed to be caught with BBQ.

well thank you for being honest but not rude, and yes the point is to get across that as a survivor lets say NOONE comes for you, BT will not help you if you dont have a suvivor that has it or unhooks you at all...

No worries I personally think balance should be made on camping if killers can camp give survivors a chance to earn some points by stunning killers to give teamates a chance to unhook safely.

  • This is great drama and all but on a serious note devs love face campers they won't add this perk many games I've sat staring into the face of a killer waiting to die and thinking I wish I could kick him in his stupid face. Love the perk but like I say devs love face campers

  • @Nabutan said:

Seriously, there are two Master challenges in this tome that warrant this post.

Scourge of the Plague: This challenge basically encourages camping, since you have to hit two survivors with a single Corrupt Purge twice. The only way I was able to do this was stand in front of a hooked survivor and wait for an unhook to hit both of them. Even then I only got it because the survivors took pity on me at the end.

Fear is your Weapon: Again, its the "Do this two times in one trial" that makes this frustrating. Once I could see, but unless you're running an incredibly specific build you would need to slug survivors so much to get this done.

I've also seen other discussions on reddit and on here about the Left Behind challenge, but the Plague missions this level are really obnoxious.

Thank you someone says it it's the same with that damn left behind perk so many matches of survivors bringing a key and leaving mid match leaving us all to die, what did they think was going to happen that they would do all gens then leave no they'll throw the match just to get what they want.

  • Tbh if I'm against doctor I just don't try sounds stupid but all the screaming and flashes give me a headache but didn't think about how people with epilepsy get, I don't even think there's a warning within the game about bright flashes.

  • @Zozzy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2230572#Comment_2230572

Not true. I can't stand when a survivor cross maps to me on the hook with the killer chasing them only to be ripped off the hook in his face and left to be tunnelled.

you may not chase the injured guy, but many killers just count to 12 and chase the injured one...

Well like I said the perk doesn't encourage it bad teamates exist in every game and what you have to remember is matchmaking is crap the survivors that do that are probably green and a few purple they haven't had as much experience, it's still a learning curve at the end of the day eventually they will realise they're making bad plays and get better but it's like a camping killer if you reward it they're going to keep doing it because it works.

  • Borrowed time does not encourage bad saves it just helps with them, I'm not really understanding what your problem is with it tbh I occasionally play killer and the only time I find out someone has borrowed time is during end game when I hooked the someome then the other player helps them down and I aim for the injured survivor because why waste time on the healthy survivor 9/10 times they're running BT but that's what it is.

The only person who complains about a perk being used like that is a tunneler ans/or camper.

  • @OGlilSPOOK20 said:

So I'm just sitting thinking to myself... I would really love if the Devs gave us a Creation/Creator Mode.

For an example something like what Overwatch has with their Server Browser/Workshop modes.

Allow us the players to go into this Creator mode making our own custom lobbies and allow us to tweak and change perks as we please (ONLY FOR THIS MODE) and maybe also tweak killers powers.

Other players would come in to play in your lobby you created and play with perks you buffed or nerfed and use killers with tweaked powers.

I think this would be a fun thing to do and it gives us the players the chance to change things that we've felt should have been done a long time ago.

Love this idea me and my friends could make great use our of this as we play custom matches alot and make up our own rules but to actually be able to mess with perks and killers would help out alot with this. Too bad BHVR doesn't have such different ideas to take the game.

  • This is why you don't promote sexuality in game or otherwise people aren't nice enough to leave it alone. And before anyone says I'm against the pride flags I am gay so that isn't the reason all im saying is pride flags are a good idea but wearing them in game is the same as wearing them out the house be prepared for homophobic slurs and unsportsman like behaviour.

I can have a staring contest with this guy and he will expose me before I break him out of the stalk. Other times I can be busy being chased and accidentally take him out of it.

It's inconsistent at the oddest times. I can't be the only person who doesn't play as Ghostface anymore because of the stalk being wacky.

NOW I'm sure someone is going to say, "Are you looking at him?" Answer is yes, I am having a staring contest. Killers playing him make me sigh at the beginning of the match, but I play through it. I don't have a problem with the ability, just the breaking him out of stalk part.

Anyone else have the same problem?

I've hands down had a match where I had a GF staring at me in the open and me back but he exposes me and I get nothing it's part of the reason I don't try to win against them the odds are always stacked against you I've even been blinding a stalking GF and he didn't get revealed like seriously if you can't make the mechanic work why add it in the first place.

I can have good chases and some pretty decent saving plays but I regularly like to help my fellow Survivors escape and then throw myself on hook for struggling Killers, I like to play fairly altruistically, I get bored more often than not in sweaty rounds. If my fellow Survivors are pretty much out the door and the tea is ready/cat needs fed/whatever then... shrug... Yet casual as I am in this game I just fly through the ranks. 🤣
