@TheClownIsKing You'll need to hear this.
There is now a bug where survivors won't be slowed down by being hit by bottles. Walking in the gas seems to work most of the time. But others the slow instantly wears off when the survivor leaves the gas.
It completely destroys Clown. Don't play him this patch.
Damn I must be bad if a bugged killer 4kd my team. On this note he isn't bugged he was working fine on cold wind.

Here's what you do.
Next time you play, put some music you enjoy while you're playing.
If something starts happening in the trial that is frustating you, focus on the music and sing along.
It will get your mind out of the game for a bit
Omg no way thought I was the only one that does that just stick Spotify on and play away also makes great fun when you can barely hear terror radius, most people ask me how I play like that I just say "better than getting annoyed because I was tunneled and camped" works great for camping tho seriously just ignore the game and listen to your playlist.

Did you bother to fix their AI at all?
I have witnessed the single most ######### zombie in existence do nothing at all about a group of survivors healing right next to him. Not even exaggerating, the zombie was literally right next to them.
If I wanted dumb teammates, I would just play survivor. But now I have nemesis to play if I want that experience.
Had a zombie earlier just walking into a wall they really got the lack of intelligence to a t.

I was excited to do it do grab some easy BP but I read somewhere else someone claimed ALL their stuff is gone now after doing this tutorial.
So has this happened to anyone here? Not gonna risk if it someone says it did. I would just quit DBD if this happened that is way too much for me to lose. Years of progress.
I did it didn't lose anything wish they had made it more repeatable tho atm you can only play as trapper and Dwight with zero perks equipped.
-
Yea it's a good start some tweaks needed would be great to be able to mess with characters and perks would be amazing

Most of the people I've played against that have used insidious stand out in the open clearly visible several feet from the hook. Why even bother using insidious like that. Since survivors can see you from across the map, it seems like it would be a waste of a perk slot. Do the people using insidious like this actually think they become invisible to the survivors?
Oh I've done that just to see how stupid people can be...4k is the answer to that.
Just to be clear this was in purple ranks nearly red ranks aswell.

I'm begging y'all. Please run DS. killers are tunneling and camping far more and it kills me to see y'all die like so quickly just because you refuse to run a perk that was nerfed. All the camping and tunneling you go through is on you, not the killer.
But it's so useless why waste a perk slot on that perk when I could be running spine chill or something much better also if people bring borrowed time it wouldn't be that much of an issue as the hit with BT at least gives you a speed increase what does Decisive get you other than a 5 second delay.
-
I mean it doesn't need to become completely useless just an increase in cool down would be good I've tested it with my friend on 1v1 on custom match and 1v2 aswell it's definitely a horrible perk to go up against late game I swear it has like an 8 second cool down

what is the best dlc in your opinion? and why do like it do you like the map the killer the survivor or map rework.
All kill purely because the banger of a tune Tricky has, made the game feel more interesting too bad they messed up the killer tho and Yun Jin ain't that bad either tbh.
-
That just sounds like entitlement to me you think that because the way the game is designed you should be able to invalidate my perk but as soon as I can invalidate one of yours it's wrong.
There is nothing wrong with distortion blocking a perk that gives off info for nothing.
-
So I don't know alot about this Almo guy but looking at the list of nerfs he's contributed too all I see is killers I think are still crappy to play against Or as.
Legion, Huntress add-ons, Executioner(don't mind this one), twins(still massively boring and annoying hit boxes), Doc. I won't hate on someone I don't know much about but from what I've seen the nerfs haven't really fitted into the main issues.
I won't blame him solely it's a team effort on BHVRs part so the way I see it they're all equally to blame especially for the release of a certain killer who is underpowered and useless in all situations.

@gibblywibblywoo said:
I think it's safe to say this perk has a chance to potentially become meta, especially on chaser or lower tier killers that have to focus on optimising their time to win against good players. One of the most important things you can do on any non-setup killer is get into a chase as soon as possible.
But I'm concerned about Distortion and how it will affect this perk.
Currently you get 7 seconds of auras at map start and then that perk is deactivated for the rest of the game. This means that not only will Distortion block its use entirely but it will still have 2 tokens left.
I'm not of the opinion that Distortion is a particularly good perk, mainly because I think there should be a way to regain tokens through gen completions or something. But I think the idea that a survivor perk can outright invalidate a killer perk instantly at match start to be absurd.
I'm all for new metas on both sides, but any situation where a single survivor perk can invalidate a killer perk in its entirety without any input from the actual survivor player is pretty absurd.
Thoughts?
Stridor invalidates iron will no one batters an eye lid distortion invalidates lethal pursued suddenly it's gonna be talked about really?
-
Isn't it bannable to mess with the perk pictures and stuff I heard it was. Also yes Pig teleporting through portals is so OP needs a nerf say this week?

Because trapper is a killer that you can't really loop him in areas he has been around. Since you always have to assume if I jump over a window is there a trap there so I would put him at okay. Hag would be a rank lower then the doctor since hag is the queen of camping.
Interesting I personally like that about trapper as when you get caught it's a 50/50 chance same with hag she can camp like a champ but I do love activting her traps and seeing how long I can loop her for.

Yea alot of survivor with a small amount of killer to top it off interesting that you wouldn't place hag and trapper that high where would you place them on the list?

Not bad but not good neither it has stopped the abusive plays where the huntress slugs 3 teamates from the get go but still feel it's missing the range requirement as huntresses now just run behind you and Chuck it into the back of your head

If all he did was DC, his penalty would have been so short, that by the time he restarted the game, it would have been over.
Then he said he leaves games because of campers so his timer was longer.
YOU obviously didn't read, because if he didn't make a habit of leaving games, then his penalty wouldn't have existed.
Now, to address your suggestion that the penalty should recognize the DC/crash and not penalize. I ask you, how should they do that? How does the system tell the difference between your internet going out, the server connection dying, and you pulling your ethernet cable because you want to leave the match? How does it tell the difference between a crash due to a game bug, and you ending the process in the windows task manager?
It can't tell the difference between those things. If you allow one of those things to not provide the penalty, then you provide a loophole for people to just DC whenever they want.
Wow someone's a bit touchy on this subject aren't they
Well if it is a issue with their servers they can detect it PCs older than time were able to detect when something stops working as it should due to lag and crashes it wouldn't be hard to add a small crash detection to the servers.

This getting hit through pallets ######### has been going on for like 4 months, is it ever getting a fix?
Nah it's the killers version of Decisive it's gonna be happening for 4 years then they'll address it.
For real tho it's so scummy that even tho I dropped it I still get hit it gives killers an unfair advantage in a chase. That said I find it's only the killers with bad latency issues so when the little bar on the lobby screen is red get the hell out and find an orange or green.

sounds like the system is working then. Maybe you shouldn't DC just because you don't like how someone plays?
Can you read? He said he was kicked out for crashes that's completely different to a normal DC this is when the penalty is BS and needs to recognise when the servers are to blame.
@The_BiggCheeze said:
Good to know this penalty system is so well crafted that we get punished because the game decides that it's a good time to have a problem.
I'd show video proof, but anytime something screws up with ANY game, the built in recording software of the ps4 conveniently cuts it out. So all that's left is a normal video with random jumpcuts, cuts where there should be 15 second freezes.
I've had this way too often especially as on Xbox if the killer brings sloppy the hit itself causes massive lag and fps drops normally you just lag end up running into a wall but of that killer already has crappy connection I get kicked from the game and a ban. This is why I feel like they should do some maintenance before this new killer comes but you know as long as their precious PC players can run the game they're happy.

The main issues of the game are focused on top levels of play. Not some green rank complaining about how wraith (a m1 killer btw) is supposedly op.
But Green is where it's at I'm afraid that is a casual player from there you'll see the sweaty try hards trying to make it into red ranks and the I'm not bothered I'm just gonna focus on my rift challenges. So just because you don't like someone's hours played it actually makes sense balance wise, they should also listen to other ranks yes but of they did that alot of things would be nerfed to the point no one can make it out of green ranks.

How many items would you suggest 🙂
I dunno something like 3-4 oil cans per gen so if we say 16 oil cans hidden around the map that adds potential to say there's 3 extra and if the survivors drop the cans then they lose them but only 3 as they still need to be able to do the objective.
Then they can rework some those useless offering so that killers can increase the amount of cans needed and which again would add to the number of cans that can be lost.
Also after all gens are done the survivors must find 3 spark plugs and a lever per door.
I was also thinking that they could make the map decor more intractable so on midwich survivors could search for oil cans in the lockers and weird flesh slime not every search would wield a can however but they could find a high quality item that would be really rare tho so like 3% chance.
So when killers damage gens I was going to erase that but it'd be too hard what with a whole bunch of perks that aid in that so when the killer "breaks" the gens he actually siphons one can of oil out or Pop would make it 2 or 3(if offering was in play to up numbers) this can then again becomes hidden but not in the same place so like Gnome chopomski it disappears to another location which again is all randomated by rng.
I personally believe that with that BP should become uncapped aswell because this kind of gameplay could go on for a little longer than usual as it has potential to remove gen rushing.

@Airless said:
Very similar to our beloved chat filter, I see no point for a cap to the amount of blood points you can gain.
It already takes roughly 1.5 million bp to go from level 1-50, and roughly 7 million bp to P3 Lvl 50 ONE character. Consider the fact that there are 27 survivors and 24 killers, it would take (again, not an exact) roughly 76.5 MILLION bp.
Disregarding how absurd that is already, the only counterargument that I have seen to is, "It is to make sure that you can't max out a new character as soon as they come out". And my counter to that count is, so?
You aren't making it easier to level up, you still have to earn the BP you have. It isn't shorting the grind, because you have to grind for said bp. All it does is remove the wasted bp you earn when you're already at the maximum.
I'm not going to act like getting a million bp is hardest thing ever, because it only takes about a day or so. However, allowing you to accumulate more over time isn't going to hurt anything, because you still have to earn it.
The only BP cap needed is Alturism you should not be healing or helping off a hook too much in one match otherwise I am inclined to agree
-
It's true tho if you like it then whatever I just wanted to get my opinion out there
-
Or they could just make it so survivors have to search for items to survive such as
Oil for gens
Spark plugs and lever for exit gates
They could even go as far too throw in a find the golden key to get hatch. I dunno just anything but holding m1 or right bumper.

All I'm saying is the old version looked more like Jamie than the new one if we can't have Jamie of like a look alike

The devs did something right when they added the Trickster, but they fumbled it when immediately after him they added Nemesis. I don't think any of the cosmetics they can add will make him look any less ugly than he already is. Not only that, but look at the doctor rework, instead of cleaning up his face a bit & enchanting his features they made even uglier. Honestly scared of what they're going to do wraith, billy & Oni. Why they rarely add attractive killers boogles my mind.
Can we just say that Demo is good because he is actually rather cute imo kinda like a little puppy or a large breed of dog if the player is decent with him

Hate to say it but you're all wrong I can now reveal the prettiest survivor is actually...
EVAio3XUcAAmaqn.png -
I have mixed feelings about it I like it in the sense of when I get the urge to DC I know I'll be banned for awhile especially if I've already DC'd. However I hate it because when their are other issues that pretty much require a DC for example a hacker ruining the game for all involved everyone DCing would solve that because no one would give them the satisfaction of a game.
I also feel bad for the players that lose connection and get told not to play, you can't guarantee that you'll have great internet all day I've had days where my internet had been crappy and I ended up disconnecting mid match. Also playing on Xbox the optimisation is awful one hit of sloppy and you end up lagging so much it's kicked me out the game a few times.
So in my opinion it's good but not for this game the cons outweigh the pros in this case.
-
How I imagine it would work is the report or reports are made the system will then in the reports look for key words that are and aren't reportable e.g. tunnelling=not bannable so discard, wall hacks=bannable, the system then ideally would watch the match back and check for anything wall hacks.
This is an ideal system but I don't work for BHVR so can't really say anything I just hope for the sake of the innocent players who get constant reports for no reason to at least have something to back them up without having to save recordings of all their matches.

Did I say that I meant this explicitly to your case? My post was more a comment on this kind of behaviour on these forums itself.
The people never give satisfying information for those claims and from what you for example gave, my assumption might be correct or not.
Another point is arguing about queue times without giving information about time of day, server region or platform plus Crossplay on or off.
Well your point was aimed at me because you responded to me and also rank is not a sure way to measure skill that's why they implemented MMR to better match people of skill.
-
I agree I shouldn't have to sweat to win every match sometimes I should get crushed and other times I should win there is no true balance to match making anyway MMR has proven this and the healthiest thing for the game is to leave this kind of play up so you get a good mix of both worlds.
-

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2258532#Comment_2258532
That's the thing I never understood. People say they main one said and play the other only occasionally.
Why is it strange when they accumulate in-game knowledge on their main side and when they play the other get matched against newbies and potatoes and take those matches as an indicator that something might be unbalanced.
Example you play 1k hours 95% only survivor and decide to play killer for the first time after several hundred hours. They are rank 1 on survivor but rank 20 as killer, while they know how survivor think and loop. Then they get matched against new or yellow ranked players which inherently don't have the knowledge and really to win against killer of their own skill. It should be obvious that the switching player will win 90-100% of their games due to the knowledge gap relating to basics.
This should never be an argument for balance on any side.
Bold of you to assume I'm not that skilled rank wise my killer rank is lower green and beginning purple so I think I know what I'm talking about I used to play 50/50 but chose survivor as my favourite side.
-
@TauNkosi said:
Now before you get your panties in a twist, I play wraith and consider him number two in my top three killers. He's extremely good now, especially for an M1 killer but... It feels almost unfair to play as or against him now. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy he was buffed and his movement speed while cloaked is ######### fantastic. The things is, I haven't won against or lost a game as wraith since his buff. It's shocking how powerful he is now and I fear nerfs in the future. The kinds that will make him worse than his pre-buffed form.
Agree I main survivor but also play killer a little as my level 50 wraith I played him pre-buff he was bad and add On dependant but not useless but now all I gotta do is stick on my usual perks and I can 4k just by using my huge speed and lunge increase.
That being said I hate going up against a wraith for that very reason he can 4k just by cloaking and then uncloaking on your ass.
-
My MMR experience has been weird one match you get a high skilled killer then I got a face camping noob with great survivors who rushed gens and we all got outta there except for that poor Elodie player.

Maybe the entire team should of done better and looped a little better to buy time when the killer was going for them. So pick ups could happen. What a concept
Someone is a little testy all I'm saying is slugging is too rewarding and you come here shouting about how only bad survivors get slugged news flash everyone can get slugged no matter how good they are. Maybe try playing for the other team and you might not be so ignorant.
