There was... Last Tome if I am not mistaken. But then again, if you are in Red Ranks Nurse, Blight and Spirit are pretty much the only killers you see, with the occasional Oni and Huntress.

Ah I see been in red ranks for awhile but this is the first time nurse is popular in my games I guess

Feels like having this opinion is a personal attack to killer mains lol. They can’t understand that not enjoying playing against a killer means you think they should be nerfed. I’m not advocating for a nerf to him whatsoever.

Nor am I but totally feels like no matter what killer mains assume you want them nerfed I mean I love wraith he was my killer main for a good while but I just took to survivor for a less stressful game play but as survivor it just feels like all wraith abuse the speed boost that coming out of invisibility gives him.

  • @WexlerWendigo said:

I’d rather have Wraith than Spirit or Legion, but since his rework, he has plummeted in terms of fun factor for me. Don’t get me wrong, Wraith absolutely needed a buff, and it’s sad how weak he’s been for so long.

This isn’t about strength, as there’s at least 10 killers stronger than him, and most are enjoyable to play against. His style of play is just extremely frustrating as a survivor. At a lot of loops, it’s basically a 50/50 as to which side of the pallet he runs to with his massive speed when uncloaking. If this happened just once in a chase, it would be okay, but there is really no reason to stay uncloaked as Wraith since he has literally no power then. This results in a pallet being thrown and broken, over and over, with very little mind games required by the wraith, unlike a killer such as Billy.

I feel like simply buffing his numbers has made him extremely frustrating to play against, as his speed when uncloaked is absurdly fast. Again, I feel like I need to say this multiple times, but I do not think he is OP, just simply not enjoyable to go against. I know it won’t happen, but I wish they would give his cloaking a cooldown, but give him some other ability in chase, or something that gives the Wraith a reason to stay uncloaked.

Am I the only one that feels this way?

Thought it was just me that felt this tbh I enjoy playing as him but God matches against him drive me to suicide on hook or in a chase just stopping in my tracks knowing all the safe loops are gone and he's gonna get you anyway.

Huntress is also held back by her planet size hit box. The amount of clean hits I dodged because of stuff in the way.

    True

  • @mrcdean97 said:

Most of the time it's just the sever having a lag when she makes those types of hits. I used to think she was more broken but after playing her for some time she's fine shes just a victim of bad ping

I agree I'm not actually blaming her I play her on the odd occasion just thought I'd put this up and see what comes up lol but tbh Xbox seems to be the worst for bad hits atm

I actually don't, I really wish it would be possible again

People of my mindset would DC because of any reason without a deterrent it could be because of any silly reason.

    They don't like the killer

They don't like a survivors gameplay

They don't like how fast gens are popping

    They're the first ones hooked

Killer slugs(I agree on this one but ya know can't have one without the others)

    Tunnelling and camping

    Toxicity

    A certain perk was used

The list goes on but these are the big ones.

Yeah, but the last time they tried to fix her hitboxes things didn't work out too well.

    Yea heard about that

  • I agree I should be able to quit any matches I don't like...do you see the issue with removing it?

  • Same she's always there to sandbag or body block you so the killer gets and easy kill 😕

  • You can't kill the entity everyone knows this she just phases through hits like it's nothing 😂

Are you a survivor or killer main? Or do you play both equally?

    Are you a good sport?

Do you feel the need to max out all of your characters with all perks and prestige them?

Do you get tilted when playing this game?

    Do you buy cosmetics?

I am a player who would be considered a good sport (most of the time at least) and who plays both sides equally. I myself feel the need to max out all of my characters and I can get very tilted when playing this game (but never take my anger out on anyone, I just say gg with tears in my eyes). I also don't really buy cosmetics because it is far more satisfying to earn them and don't feel like supporting BHVR, at least right now.

I am a survivor main I am generally a good sport but have a short fuse so I guess yea I get tilted I am currently trying to get all perks on all my current unlocked characters not bothered about prestiege on all characters as I pay shards for some cool cosmetics and would be a waste of bp to prestige if I'm not gonna wear it.

I've been mostly playing killer lately, and I cannot for the life of me track a survivor through corn. I don't have bad eye sight at all, but as soon as a survivor runs into the corn, they're as good as gone for me. I can spot Claudettes crouched behind a tree on a misty map out of the corner of my eye, but I may as well be blind if I get a Coldwind map. If they're injured, I can sometimes track the sound, and sometimes I can follow the rustling of the stalks, but for the most part I just instant lose them. It's gotten to the point that when I get a corn map, I just chalk it up as an insta-loss. I'd rather play Game with infinite pallets all day because at least I can see the survivor dropping all of those pallets. For more experienced players, how do you handle these maps? I'm sure there has to be a trick or strategy to it that I just haven't picked up yet.

Blood hound it's gotten me out of alot of tough situations scratch marks are all over the place but blood leaves a trail in a direct line assuming they don't 360 you a few times then it gets complicated but 9/10 times it works

Respectfully I think you and lots of people on these forums forget what it's like for newish players, which is understandable as if you are visiting these forums you are likely to have played quite a lot and understand the game better.

But for newish players people should remember the game can be genuinely terrifying. If they messed up the skill check they probably freaked out and thought it better to hide behind something, which isn't exactly a crime. What I would wonder is why didn't you just go with her and let her finish the heal somewhere she felt safer, they clearly didn't know it would make little difference, but standing for 15 seconds getting pissed off seems bizarre, could have been done healing already.

Also to OP; I think DC'ing for any reason is unnecessary, sure they could be awful and all might be lost but just that little bit of extra time on the hook could have been the tiny bit needed for them to get someone off the hook even if it isn't you. Noob players need to learn and the game has a crazy learning curve. For the sake of probably less than a minute of extra wait DC'ing reduces the chances of any positive and learning experience. People complain about new players being awful yet act somewhat selfishly when a tiny wait could have at least helped them understand the game a little better.

You miss understood I didn't DC that match I was all for giving them a chance but they left me to die

This is why it is miserable.. The more players go into swf only matches the less players are available for solo play leaving only new players and very casual players.

On the flip side, swf is slowly killing off the killer population leading to longer queue times for survivor and in turn driving more people into swf to make the wait worth while.

    SWF ruins everything as usual.

Can we just go back to the reasons Quake stated why players go to SWF, camping, toxic killers, bad team that's not all SWF fault killers choose to play like d bags so survivors adapt killers tunnel and camp so survivors swf to gen rush and only reward him with one kill the rest is all BHVR. But sure SWF is killing the experience.

  • @CluelessWanderer said:

New Killer, though Im just about to pack it in for this game entirely. DBD is just unplayable as it is unless you like to be eternally irritated. Today as a Rank 13 Killer, I have had CONSTANT lobbys of purple rank SWF. It's just a terrible experience.

One thing that is really confusing me though, and I hope someone can explain it to me- I constantly get blinded by flashlights when I do actually get a down. The thing is, the survivor blinding me isn't even in front of me. So I just got blinded, and I swear to God, the flashlight ######### was BEHIND me, or maybe a bit to my right. How do you avoid that? When i play survivor it's really difficult for me to land a flashlight stun, but somehow I had a group of survivors that could do it from behind me and slightly to the right?

Id it an add on or special bulb?

Honestly flashlights are weird I've gone for a flash save in front of the killer but nothing happened then same killer when from the left or right and bam near enough instant stun. It's part of the reason I stop playing killer once I reach rank 10 in those ranks everyone is doing it successful

  • Trapper he's underpowered and relies heavily on certain maps and good add ons so you know when he kills you it was a good game

  • @GenJockeyNance said:

3 people on hooks... Something went very very wrong somewhere. Whether it was you unknowingly or your teammates. I'm assuming by the time you got hooked, the first guy hit struggle phase, second guy maybe got too altruistic, didn't want to let guy 1 get to struggle and maybe went for a safe unhook and you went in for damage control is my best guess on what happened here and pinpoint the snowball. If he wasn't camping, how did he catch you to get a third hook?? Did you attempt to unhook while he was still around or did you get caught on the path of rescue before the actual rescue? It was definitely possible to get the unhooks, I'm not gonna deny that, I've been in competent teams where things got turned around when it looked bad like that. While you were being chased, it was a good opportunity for the other teammate to get the unhooks instead of sitting on a gen. If the killer was camping all 3, he probably made the decision it was a better risk for his life and the lesser chance of a killer's 4k by not giving him that 4k. Sucks but that's how solo queue rolls.

I get so annoyed with solo queue too half the time. The other day, was playing against Ghostface, he marked me, I actually managed to loop him for a gen and a half until he finally got me. Was on hook and what do I see? One self caring in the corner of the map, one hiding near my hook even though the killer was nowhere around and one working on a gen. They let me go into struggle phase for essentially nothing and then die on first hook. These were purple ranks. This was generally the final straw to me playing solo queue. Now I really only play solo when I'm bored and don't want the stress of killer or in SWF.

Yea something went wrong and yea maybe I shouldn't of gone for the save but I can't stand lousy teamates that urban evasion around the map and only jump on a gen when everyone is hooked so yea maybe I'm not amazing at the game but when the killer actually messages you and says how I was the only one either trying or in his skill level it rings alarm bells

If 3 of you are hooked... The killer is camping successfully. The survivor that's alive is doing the smart thing and not handing the 4th kill for free. Maybe be less altruistic. IMO the 4th survivor was probably the most experienced.

He probably has a post complaining about crappy survivors rewarding camping killers instead of pushing gens and punishing him.

Oh and to further add on I did both gens on my own but yea I'm the bad team player because I got hooked

Yea solo us awful normally I play with 2-3 friends but it seems stupid to have to rely on people you know and then killers moan how unfair it is but yet they can slaughter solos

Hey Killers! When you're in pre-game do you check Survivor names and recognize/memorize names? Does it ever affect the way that you play your game if you recognize a Survivor?

I'm just curious! I think I went against the same Killer once and that they were less aggressive the second time around but I don't know how much of that was my imagination. 😊

I'm not a killer main but I do remember survivor names for when I'm in a lobby with them again I mostly make a mental note of the bad survivors who sit self caring or using a map on and off for no reason instead of helping the team I will then lobby dodge that survivor.

  • @Crypticghoul said:

This post is not meant to rant about Tunneling but rather the fact that the 8k category cap still exists for survivor and the fact that there's no category spillover like there is for killer.

There are some games where the killer just decides they're going to tunnel you and run at you all game and I'm really getting annoyed with the fact that when I last a long time my boldness caps out early and I get no further points. While I'm running around I get absolutely zero objective or altruism and survival is pretty much up to my team doing gens during that time to power the gates.

I love getting chased when I play survivor but it's frustrating that in the above scenario I'll maybe get between 10k and 15k blood points because the killer decided they want me and would not let me get any in the other categories.

It'd be so nice if every generator, heal, or unhook done while getting chased gave you some points in their respective categories. Survivor gets so little blood points compared to killer and WGLF is brutal to stack up. 10-15k is enough for like 3 nodes on the blood web which gets you so little on the blood web that it actually feels bad to spend after a game.

Agreed why should there be a cap for bp in the first place the reason I rush gens is because I'm not being rewarded for staying longer in a match so gen timing really falls down to give us more bp and we might make it fun for killer too

  • You pray hitboxes aren't f**** and don't vault in front of him fake it til you make it or die I guess

What is a rushing blight? A blight that uses his rush?

On a serious note I don’t know why they made his flick an intentional mechanic. Kinda ruins his fun for me

A blight that uses his rush all the time because now that he can 180 there's literally no punishment if he misses the first shot oh well 180 and get that next hit. He no longer requires skill any new player can come along and play him now I would know I used to suck with Blight but now I'll get at least a 3k

Nope it's been made basekit now

  • @TGB said:

Now everyone's got, like, ACTUAL extra abilities, twelve sprints, a weird dab-dash, flying across the map, auto-revives, auto-unhooks, auto-escapes, attack negates, killer ability negates, aura negates, and just a general total disintegration of the game's base mechanics, utterly devolving into this abomination perkfest battle royale game, except one team forgot to bring 3 of their teammates.

    ----

I'm aware that power creep hits every game. But even so, it rarely actually mutates the game into a totally different game. You used to be able to just play your core kit, and the only thing you even had to worry about is a Meg sprint... from Meg.

But now, you have to hesitate on every single little thing. Maybe I can't swing this max range lunge attack, they might dab-dash it and I whiff. Maybe I can't hit this unhooked Survivor, they might have Borrowed. Maybe I can't look in the direction I'm walking, they might have Spine Chill. Maybe I can't leave this guy slugged on the ground for a moment, he might self-revive. It just god damn feels like every little thing is wrong. Like every decision is just trying to cut my losses. I can do this thing and get punished, or that thing and get punished more. Well, I'll do the thing I'm least punished for. But ultimately, I'm just always punished for anything I do.

I know I've made my fair share of threads today, but just holy #########, dude.

Playing Killer in this game... You know what it feels like???

It feels like I'm playing a children's game.

It feels like I'm, like... the teacher.

"Alright, kids! Let's load up some DBD!"

And they all cheer happily, "YAYYYY!" And they all get on.

And I join the game, and I'm BIG BAD SCARY MONSTER!

And the game starts, and I pop out from corners and go RAWR, but in reality, I'm just totally powerless and couldn't harm a fly if I wanted to.

And the kids all go, "AAAAHHH," and most of them don't do anything because they're like 5 years old and probably just picking their nose. But then one of them accidentally hits their left mouse button, and it bonks me on the head with a frying pan and I fall over defeated, with X's for eyes.

And I say, "WOW you did it! You defeated the big scary monster! Ice cream for EVERYONE!"

And they all scream, "YAYYYYY!! ICE CREEAAAAMMM!!!"

And it's the classic happy ending fairy tale story that the kids are accustomed to hearing.

    And everyone's happy.

That's sincerely what I realized DBD is feeling like to me. That is me putting words to it.

Umm are...are you ok you should probably take a break it sounds like you're mentally exhausted. Take care of yourself and come back refreshed and with the mindset of "it's just a game"

  • @Hex_Llama said:

Yes, everyone please stop doing gens while my traps are in play.

(Seriously, though, I've died from a Pig trap once in the entire time I've played survivor.)

  • @KA149108 said:

Ok so seriously we need to discuss survivors popping gens when a fellow survivor has a trap on thier head. If the killer has ruin or its the last gen then I get it pop it. BUT majority of the time you are killing that team member. Especially if pig put add ons so you can't even be stealthy you have to bolt it to boxes but then you get found and then have no time to get the trap off.

I know some will make the sarcastic comment saying "just don't get downed" but hey ho ######### goes down.

More people need to think about this especially when the killer has add ons. Even if you give the survivor 20 seconds just to get a head start on the boxes before you pop the gen it helps.

Why it takes one gen to start it then after that it only counts down once you're running around like a headless chicken, I'm not gonna stop gen popping so you can sit and self care in the corner then rush to the boxes.

  • @TGB said:

Just show the buff aura immediately... Don't have it wait until the Survivor gets hit...

As it is right now, it's basically a 5th Perk, to put it as shortly as possible.

    ----

As it is right now, you LEARN that somebody has it by hitting a Survivor and then they glow white... but you're now stuck in place on attack cooldown animation. And that's a huge loss. That's an escaped Survivor, you lost 'em.

And not only that, but you have this on potentially 3 more Survivors, too.

    But maybe not!

    And that's the REAL kicker.

That's why it's a 5th Perk. The only way to counterplay it is to assume they have it. You can't afford to swing at them in order to learn. But, my freaking god, it's TWELVE SECONDS!! I have to ride their buttcheeks for TWELVE SECONDS, just based on the assumption that they are buffed by their rescuer.

But maybe they AREN'T! Maybe the rescuer does NOT have Borrowed Time! But since I have to respect it anyway, then they basically DO have it, now, don't they?

And then for the ultimate "mind games," if you end up testing it and learn that they DO have Borrowed Time... now you kind of assume EVERYONE will have it. But, again, maybe not! Maybe only that ONE guy has it, and unhooked a Surv, and you smacked 'em. And maybe that was going to be the only time anyone was ever Enduranced all game. But, alas, you spent the rest of the game respecting a non-existent buff for TWELVE SECONDS each time just because you really cannot afford not to.

    ....

    UGH. It's just pure misery.

Is this ever talked about??? It seems like a very obvious & glaring issue, to me.

I only read the first sentence sorry but it's there to punish you for trying to tunnel just like DS does now if someone unhooks in front of you they have borrowed go for the unhooker then you haven't wasted any time at all

I've been going for some adepts today cause of the rank reset bug and decided for Myers it would be fun to try out scratched mirror.

Long story short I kept doing really well but only getting ruthless with just a couple emblem points away from merciless because of an early DC.

The last game I did I had 2 people DC with one of them then waiting the entire game to trash talk me for using scratched mirror on Gideon meat plant.

Do people not like scratched mirror Myers? I always thought he was a fun jump scare playstyle that people enjoyed playing against and I personally think it's extremely fun to play against since it's actually scary if they're good.

I'm curious what the general consensus on how fun it is to play against scratched mirror since I never really thought about it that much.

I enjoy it when I go against a scratched mirror Myers I myself like to play sneaky with him but it is super annoying on a small map but that said it's difficult for him on a large map because of his speed and lunge

  • @Kate_Main_01 said:

Survivor main here! I'm curious to all you Killers how often do you spare Survivors because of things like gestures and impossible odd scenarios?

    Examples...

    1. Pointing at you / boop the snoot - that sort of thing. Does that inspire sympathy or encourage unusual gameplay?
    2. 'Impossible' odds/great plays - 2 Survivors dead. 1 hooked. I got hooked, I hook escaped (4% chance, I think?), made it to the other Survivor and unhooked him. He got downed. I outplayed the Killer, got the Survivor up, and finished the final gen. Fellow Survivor got downed and 3rd hooked and at that point I was just exhausted and I just stopped running, took my first hit, gestured at him 'come here' and took the second and then got hooked. I half expected (and hoped) for a hatch drop but I know I am by no means owed that and he did nothing wrong. It just got me thinking! 😊

As a Survivor I will always give myself up to a Killer if 3 people DC. I'll try to get them to take me to basement if they actually follow my 'come here' gesture rather than instant down. I think that's the closest thing a Survivor has to giving a hatch drop.

Why should you give killer the kill if all your team DC he receives kill points for that and you're left on your own if 3 people DC I will give hatch too the survivor because I know how annoying it is to be left on your own with a killer that wants a 4k instead of thinking about my pips or fun.

What I find interesting (and somewhat hopeful) is that there hasn't been an explosion of responses. That tells me I was wrong, and more people do have a sense of shame. For what it is worth, I reviewed the posts of DecisiveDwight, HaunterofShadows, and Dabihwow and found them to have LOTS of what I would consider normal, sane posts which actually discuss the hobby in the way a genuine enthusiast would. There were interesting posts about Lore, other subjects, insightful comments on playstyle and even some technique. I'm sorry to say DapperTrapper but your posts did not include much other than complaints.

I don't expect everyone to agree with me (it would be weird if they did) but I do expect people who share a hobby to have some way to connect that is more than rants, bile, and/or propaganda of one sort or another. I merely submit that we should be seeing a lot more discussions about playing the game, rather than just complaining about it.

Whoa I got a shout out thanks in all truthfulness I love this game but you gotta make it your own if you don't it's just a messy stressful experience and some people are still learning this I think.

  • MMR won't fix anything fast it'll be a step in the right direction but there's still bad hits on both sides you see them alot of the the time mostly huntress and Head on tho. So to be honest I think the whole game needs a complete overhaul it was ok to be cheaply made when it first started out but spaghetti code is awful when you have such a large player base and no constant updates to keep it all in place.

I absolutely love the new update and killer added and the perks that came with them. However does anyone feel like playing as the trickster has been incredibly painful???

    1. He moves almost as slow as a tier I Michael Myers lol, I really feel like he should be faster in mobile as it’s been incredibly painful to chase and chase…and chase survivors.
    2. The aiming UI is alittle tricky, it does not feel mobile friendly yet. It keeps moving up, it’s ridiculously easy to evade and with the added slow speed it’s not really giving the killer much of an edge. Your unfortunately better off just running after them.

I feeel like I’m not crazy but does anyone else agree ???

Don't play Trickster to win I play him to get certain challenges done like chase survivors for x amount of seconds or using x perk kill x amount of survivors it adds to challenge and wields fun
