....the Claudette could have taken two steps forward? At some point survivors have to accept that Blight can hit them there and position accordingly. It's a thing Blight can do and survivors can play around it 90% of the time.

Correct, it is intentional now. You get 90 degrees for the rush, and 90 degrees for the attack, giving you 180 degrees. The update nerfed j-flick which let you go as much as you want as long as you set your mouse DPI high enough. Now they made it so it has a cap of 90 degrees for each and that it is actually easier to do now.
I think the devs have left it like that, but why shouldn't the killer do that?
Nope it's been made basekit now
Because 90+90 were always intended and you could always perform them. These always were basekit, while jflicks never were, so they patched them.
