The Birkin skin was quite the unexpected but awsome legendary lol i'm not sure if I've even switched outfits since it came out. @glitchboi

Yes, I loved the William Birkin skin! Those voice lines are straight gas. If I'm not using it I'm using the Biting Gaze head (which I vaguely recall looking a bit like Rick Sanchez so I used it for the haha funny) from one of those Twitch Prime reward specials.

  • This place had its flaws—a lot, really, but it was still miles better than the subreddit (which, is still the most tolerable of the three), Steam award farming simulator, and oh good lord Discord combined. Looks like dedicated forums are being disbanded in favor of putting faith in other companies. A shame really.

Thanks for being one of the super mega bestest members of this forum V, frankly this place did not deserve your presence.

  • People don't like him very much and that's fine, but I still really like Blight and adore his design ever since his release. He's mechanically the most fun killer for me and when I'd played him it always felt like I would learn new ways to hit survivors every game.

I'll miss my dream pallets... It's what it is

I can't believe they turned what was possibly his most unique aspect and turned them into more obvious Trapper traps. Goodbye dream pallets.

  • In terms of Freddy-tier reworks, only SM. Stationary drones will always be a failed concept.

Maybe Chucky as well, he doesn't really have an identity outside of being a third-person minuscule gremlin, just an Oni that doesn't instadown.

Outside of that, none really. I hope they never get rid of Myers' identity.

  • As fun as it is to flick after a scamper it basically removes the counterplay of a scamper vault and allows Chucky to basically have zero trouble with windows and pallets. Not to mention S&D’s are already nearly impossible to dodge if used at the right time and position by a skilled Chucky.

I’m all for techs like Blight and Oni’s 180 flicks, but this one isn’t it. Regular slice scampers feel more satisfying to hit because they’re already difficult to hit due to their limitations and is the best form of skill expression for Chucky since it has counterplay for both sides.

I’d be chill with making the flick always guarantee a one-time 360 in order to vault back because that could actually give some interesting plays, but. Don’t think they’d be willing to take the effort to do that though and not to mention with Chucky’s buggy kit being stabilized with popsicle sticks and snot, I don’t see it happening.

As for survivor techs, heal tech is too niche to be fixed and it does at least have partial counterplay by standing over the downed survivor to avoid the heal tech. Not too sure about crouch tech but it’s definitely annoying to get CTRL’d.

  • If add-on passes count as tweaks I would still like to see ones for Nemesis and Pyramid Head. Also fix that POTD charge animation bug that’s been there since 4.x.0 while they’re at it, it’s so ugly.

  • Haven’t tried the new Machine Learning but being able to activate it upon one gen kick also basically makes it even more of a guaranteed activation in the endgame. Pre-8.3.0 ML with only the duration buff was already quite strong, I can see this version of it being pretty damn strong on fast cooldown killers like Nemesis.

I think Med-Kits were overnerfed, they could use some changes.

No one had a problem with healing until it was allowed to reach extreme levels with the original iterations of Circle of Healing, which seems to have been a perk created with Hexes in mind: a powerful effect which can be removed from the trial. But Boons cannot be permanently destroyed, so that perk was unquestionably overpowered and I agree it had to be changed.

But the Med-Kit nerf? That I think was too much, it shouldn't have happened.

    I miss Pharmacy so much.

  • I think all of the items need to have new add-ons in addition to what we have. An item add-on pass needs to happen asap, give something new for survivors other than perks. Even some of the more commonly used items like toolboxes and flashlights need some more fun added to them.

Keys are weird because they’re basically only useful for wallhacks and the nice niche of opening the hatch. Give the purple and pink keys the base-kit ability to instantly open a chest to find a high rarity item except for keys with powerful add-ons at the cost of fully depleting the key.

Remove charges for maps, they can now be used infinitely but only while standing still or walking; id used when walking you cannot sprint.

  • As long as they add a gen or two or just decrease the gen speed to compensate for the pickup time I’m happy with this change, survivors need more to do in 2v8 anyways. 7 flashlights (with chest luck) and double chases seems like even compensation to me.
My only problem with this is that this now leaves out base-kit Unbreakable as an option because it would leave the killers in lose-lose scenarios if they’re unable to slug the survivor and 4 survivors with flashlights around them.

I think items/add ons and perk levels would be cool to randomize too. It might be a little too far (particularly for the killer player) but randomize our characters too!

Let's just go friggin nuts BHVR! I want ALL of the Chao.

I’m down for randomized cosmetics as well, completely randomized pants, shirts, weapons, and heads, or even landing on sets. Not sure if that’d be possible with licensed characters though

  • Yeah I don't know how to feel about the new Zanshin, seems like it'll be too powerful and remove the need of mindgaming most tiles. I liked the old one on killers like Clown (knowing where to throw bottles prematurely), Knight (quickly pathing through windows), and Chucky (charging S&D prematurely towards a window to extend duration w/ scamper). I also loved it on trap-based killers.

  • They're pretty solid, but I hate one of Saga's hook voice lines, it sounds so obnoxious.

  • As an Unknown main I NEED this. The crawl animation they have in that showcase already looks so smooth and ready to be implemented. It's totally wasted potential and I would love for Unknown to be able to crawl.

It would allow for more unpredictable shots where the survivor can't see you under a low wall tile, unable to tell where you're aiming at. Would add more depth to the already high skill ceiling that Unknown has.

  • I guess the one that'll kill me faster so that I feel the least amount of pain as possible.

  • @HaunterofShadows said:

The game mode isn't supposed to be balanced. At least not as balanced as the main game.

It's supposed to be a mode where everyone can just mess around with their friends. It's not supposed to be as competitive and not supposed to be taken as seriously.

The fun comes from the chaos

Really well said. 2v8 might become my favorite way to play DBD once more killers and maps start dropping because of how goofy and casual it is. Even if I lose on either side I still had a damn good time because it's such a funny gamemode. Not everything needs to be balanced in this game.

  • It's so damn fun and I'm looking forward to the addition of more killers, especially my main Unknown, and maybe even more survivor classes.

  • Passive condemn is what I wish for the most. It made Sadako far more scary to go against. 1.0 Sadako with 3.0 buffs needs to return.

  • Xeno isn’t fun for me either, extremely linear gameplay and very limited skill ceiling. It can kind of be fun to hit through short walls, but it’s not really difficult to do so and doesn’t feel satisfying after doing it for the first few times. Tunnels are the only interesting part of its kit because it’s actually a pretty cool form of mobility, going under the map and moving around fast.

Nemesis feels more satisfying to play as for me because of the weird hits you can do with his lingering hitbox.

While I don't have anything to share at the moment, I can assure you that we're taking all feedback at the moment and discussing with the design team. If any further changes are on the way, we will let you know.

This is good to hear, the closure is appreciated.

For my suggestion, I’d like to see the individual cooldowns for each guard from the PTB to be brought back, many people loved it.

  • Hag, most of the ones I go against play the annoying basement playstyle where they proxy camp around the shack with 10 million traps in there. It’s just not fun. They also love their Rusty Shackles.

  • @keviolah said:

It looks like it's related to the store. If you go to each marked character's store page and scroll through everything, some items will have an exclamation on it. Once you scroll through each page, the exclamation point will disappear on their portrait… I'd say it's a little annoying, but I kinda like knowing that there's a new skin for my character whereas before I'd get notifications about characters I don't use

It’s cool to know when a new skin has dropped but I still would like an option to disable the exclamation points, or at least keep them exclusive to certain characters through the filter menu (Also make filter settings not reset at all, keep it the same when closing and reopening the game).

  • Yeah this is just a repeat of Pinhead's Original Pain. I think it should be fine if they remove the deep wound aspect of it and buff the hindered aspect of it slightly.

  • Either that or allow remotely recalling your guards by pressing the Active Ability button before setting a new guard. Also bring back the individual cooldowns for each guard.

  • If both use default cosmetics, duplicate player 2 killers are forced to use an alternate costume that slightly changes their clothing color. Cause why not? Yellow and green Bubba.

  • The cooldowns were individual in the PTB and felt so damn good. Knight now has an unnecessary cooldown that just feels awful and discourages strategizing which guards to use in certain moments.

  • I love the darksynth-esque music they used for the trailer.

  • I'm All Ears was already pretty solid on certain killers and I think decreasing the cooldown a bit was the best way to buff it. Definitely not meta-worthy (though not every perk needs to be at the same level of Pain Resonance), but it's a relatively balanced perk and one of my favorite chase perks.

  • Being able to TP anywhere sounds like Unknown’s hallucinations without UVX.

As much as I despise going against Hag, her kit is still very unique and I’d rather not rid of her identity. I personally would just add back the ability to wipe traps with flashlights (but keep the regular M1 wipe) because it was the only counter to basement Hag, and wiping manually takes too much time to the point where she’ll already be on you.

Fun fact, playing on lower framerates makes flicking easier, because for some reason the time between the turning rate being slowed and being locked into POTD is linked to your FPS, so while on 60fps you can get to like 45-90 degree flicks fairly consistently, playing on as low as 30 can easily allow 135, and going even lower can get the full 180 (at the cost of playing on an awful framerate).

This is a bummer because I finally went higher than 60hz for the first time and seeing DBD in 90 FPS has been too surreal and I don't know if I can go back.

  • It mostly depends on how they play. The M2 animation-lock hit playstyle is boring, but flick Pyramid Heads are extremely fun to go against because they are persistent on getting weird 180 shots. Too bad there is only a one in a million chance to come across one.

I do want to go back and pick up FlickHead but Unknown’s been damn too fun for me to continue training my Flick PH.

  • Absolutely loathe that character select screen. No improvement can redeem it, just bring back the old one.

Singularity changes are excellent but I still want the 0.6 lock-on to be lowered to 0.5.

Knight needed Call to Arms base-kit and being able to remotely recall his guards if they want to get rid of the bug that should have been a feature.

    1. For sure. Sky Billy is peak and many agree that it should be brought back. If anything, it was more for style points and gave zero advantage other than advantage in fun. It's a disadvantage to even go for Space Billy plays to begin with, and people who did it were only looking for clips to put in their montage rather than winning. Finding a Sky Billy in the queue was like finding a shiny Pokemon.
    2. This one I don't really agree with, I feel like hugtech had too low of a skill floor to get a lot of value of. What I do think though (and I had a different take on this in the past) is that the J-flick should be brought back. It was incredible form of skill expression for both sides and looked/felt so cool.
    3. Agreed, I loved item-based interactions and I would love to have all of them back (except saboing Trapper's traps, that was braindead), even Wraith's. In fact I want Wraith's back the most, lightburn was fun to utilize, go against, and outplay and it was overall a funny mechanic. Burning Hag's traps was the only counter to basement Hag, wiping traps is far too slow to deal with her basement.
    4. The crunch of getting a flashlight save felt much better before, I preferred the old timing for it as well. You actually had to master the timing for it. Nowadays it just feels… free.
  • Very underrated anti-tunnel perk.

  • I think 2v8 is planned to be permanent. They’re advertising it as a game mode rather than a modifier.

  • My ideal however would be Dredge and Unknown: Team Enigma. Imagine how terrifying it would be to see the Unknown appear out of nowhere during Nightfall.

  • Fortnite OG was one hell of a success. I’d imagine there’s a crowd of people that may not prefer old DBD but would like to experience it again. BHVR is sleeping on a total goldmine.

Plus I want to play as old Bubba again. I’m talking holding down that chainsaw and pressing M1 to cancel. Billy backrev as a standalone killer and nothing more. Biggest meme of a killer of all time.

  • If they remove aim assist they need to lower down the lock-on time not to 0.6, but to 0.5 seconds. This is one of the buffs I’ve wanted Singularity to get and they overlooked it.
Not only will it make him just as good as he already is on outdoor maps, but it would give an easier time for controller players and also make him somewhat more playable on indoor maps.

Also remove the decay since auto-aim is gone.

  • We need the old Summoning Stone and Soul Chemical back, but that’s about all that Blight should get for a while other than bug fixes. He’s gotten updated a little too much recently and I think it’s about time resources are spent on other killers balance-wise.

  • Would be a cool add-on but reeling is very unique and adds more depth to Slinger. It makes him an M1-based ranged killer that gets excellent synergy with basic attack perks (I miss STBFL). I also like the challenge of having to reel a survivor between a dropped pallet to down them.

  • We need a middle ground between current Freddy and old Freddy to make both crowds happy. Keep dream projection, make dream pallets base-kit, and for snare enjoyers make it an add-on to swap out dream pallets (because snares are a bit fun to place through windows but please add back the old snare placement before his nerf in 4.7.0).

But most importantly, make the dream world threatening again. I'm talking auras, generators slower, 24m terror radius, and the ability to pull into the dream world. Right now the dream world is such a joke, cause that ain't Freddy that's Charles

  • I consider it to be tunneling by proxy. The killer is technically tunneling the survivor that desires to be tunneled, but you also can’t blame them for tunneling them because, well, they kind of asked for it.

  • The animation for it would be so damn cool.

Say what you want about SM but her weapon cooldown animations and SFX (aside from her default one) are so damn cool, satisfying and some of the best in the game, especially with STBFL. I would gladly play her without her drones just for those animations but everyone leaves the game anyways, so eh.

I also preferred the old version for on the fly flashlight recharge

It was really cool and well-designed when it launched. Felt like a portable battery pack for your item.

The worst part is that nobody asked for BtL to be reworked. People probably asked it to be buffed at best (though I think it was fine as it was).

  • The rework for Built to Last. A perfectly fine, balanced, fun, and unique perk, turned into a generic locker perk. It may have been weaker, but it felt way better to use.
Old Built to Last was unique in the sense that it felt like a third add-on for your item at the cost of a perk slot. It worked passively rather than requiring you to do a second objective to activate it. The new one is just so forgettable.
