I’ll take anything to make this game more accessible for new players honestly.

Ohhh thank you, I almost forgot about that thing :)
Imo they should put it in the daily ritual menu instead since it opens every day. Weekly box is really easy to forget since it’s in the literal corner of the shop menu.

Out of curiosity would this allow Knight to unleash a patrol guard and switch to the chase guard and unleash them with two guards running around at the same time? Because I think it’d allow for more multitasking potential for Knight and it’d be pretty cool.

Once he gets his changes, I think he will be solid. Hopefully they don't keep auto aim for PC and instead just keep auto aim for console after PTB. I really like his power, he's unique and no Killer in DBD do as he does things.
Maybe an in-game option to disable the auto-aim would be nice just for that challenge.
But yeah I agree, Singularity is a damn unique killer and anniversary worthy for sure. I love the camera-based ability and his M1-based anti-loop.

Can you imagine how insane it would be if Jason came to the game?
There’ll be hella amount of hype for F13. I confidently say that he will come inevitably, maybe even sooner than later. His MultiVersus appearance gives me hope for a DBD crossover. Knowing how infamous he is as a slasher icon (maybe even being the slasher) I'd bet they already have a power concept drafted for him years before.
-
Would be a solid QoL change and might work somewhat as a minor BK Kindred.

I laugh every time I play against him. It kills me every time he does the middle finger lmao
Edit: Plus, I still just cannot believe he is here in the game. It still feels a little surreal. I remember talking about him here on the forums so many years ago. I just can’t believe it. It’s so awesome 😊
He’s a damn good addition to the roster and by far my favorite horror slasher icon. Absolute hilarious voice lines and animations. I’m still surprised he even made it in to begin with, but they did it. By far the most hype I’ve had with any licensed chapter.

Change TTM and Throttle to their PTB versions where they were only intended to decrease the cooldowns on successful hits and increase their numbers to their PTB versions. My only problem with Billy atm is just LoPro + TTM combo, other than that I think his kit is fine but replace his useless dissipation add-ons with Leafy Mash and Mother’s Helpers.
-
I would like to see Stridor’s ability to counter 100% IW to be brought back. Gave it more of an incentive to run it and actually made it more unique of an anti-stealth perk.
-
You can get 3 to 6 (or even 9 if you’re lucky) tokens instantly on Undone if you use Oppression. Combine that with Overcharge and you just might get passive tokens. Freddy is the only killer where I somewhat got decent value out of Undone since his power kind of encourages missing skill checks. Damn imagine old Freddy with Undone
-
I think the kill rates for SM, even if most of them is due to hook suicides, is enough for BHVR to step in and start writing a draft for a SM rework. I personally don't mind if SM gets reworked or not, but I'm really betting that SM will inevitably be reworked sooner or later.
-
I think encouraging a sniper playstyle for Knight is actually a good direction for more skill expression for him. Not sure how I feel about the aim assist for Singularity but I think it would have been a great add-on.
Billy is basically what he used to be prior to his Overheat rework, having little to no cooldowns especially with his old Thompson's Mix. He's buffed to the point where he's capable of competing in the current meta and the Realm Beyond maps.
While I don't care about the hug tech, I do miss Blight's J-flick. I had a different opinion on this in the past but I think it was excellent skill expression and was fun to utilize as well as fun to go against.
Removing Chucky's passive scamper as a whole wasn't the best decision IMO, I would have made it so that for a few seconds, he gets slowed down in movement speed and can't use slice & dice for a few seconds kinda like when Wesker vaults a window/pallet.
-
… truly love the game, and as much as we say we hate it or dislike some of the developers' decisions, we all just want what's best for the game.

The Weekly Gift for this week, Tuesday, June 18th is 60,000 bloodpoints

30 rift fragments for me as well. 60k bloodpoints is a bummer for completing the rift.
-
Wraith is built around countering W. His counterplay is decent windows and pallets.
-
The thing with that is that it would remove the counterplay of going close to the Unknown in order for the projectile to bounce off of the survivor and not explode onto them. The lack of reward for direct hits encourages using Unknown’s unique attribute of having to bounce the projectile off a wall in order to damage the survivor.
You can sometimes counteract the counterplay by bouncing the UVX projectile to the closest wall of the survivor to explode it, but there are many scenarios where you just have to M1 as Unknown.

I would recommend prestiging plague for corrupt, as it makes him better in early game while setting up trap,s noed and/or no way out from trickster for end game, and keep agi on for that quality of life, or if you'd prefer you could prestige cenobite for deadlock. Addon's I think are fine, but I would recommend using the addon for more haste after placing traps, have an extra trap, or the one that starts you with all traps so you have more common ones to use. For offerings you can use bloodpoint offerings to get more addon's, though moris are good. Assuming you don't have any other killers though, you could replace distressing for enduring from billy and it's be a decent build.
If you wanna go basement traper, go start with all traps, and walking through traps without stun, iron grasp, agi, monstrous shrine and a perk of your choosing and put all survivors in basement if you can, and put your traps on the basement stairs.
Edit:grammar and spelling mistakes
Vouch for Corrupt and Deadlock. Either one is basically mandatory for Trapper because of the amount of passive slowdown he needs due to the minimal amount of time he has to set up before gens start popping all at once.
I recommend Corrupt more because the early game is his weak spot, but Corrupt + Deadlock is an incredible combination for him.
-
FOTD should absolutely not be ground level and Vorpal Sword should not be made base-kit at all. FOTD is built as a short-range anti-loop that gets the best use from its immediate linger, and something as easy to aim as FOTD should also be easy to counter. Any buff to Fly and and Sphere is very much welcome though.
I would like for Vecna to have the ability to continue flight through windows and pallets so that there's an actual incentive to go through them instead of exclusively flying to counter W. Either that or lower the fatigue after flying over a window or a pallet.
-
Between Goblet and Videotape I have to say Videotape. At least Goblet does nothing entirely, while Videotape makes you essentially the weakest killer in the entire game. I mean, it's literally Sadako, a basic M1 killer, without her main ability: her slowdown.

It does affect normal chases though. The rev time is 2 seconds, so if you cancel more than 1 second worth of revving then you already can’t rev the chainsaw anymore. If you have any addon that increases the charge time then it’s even less forgiving.
If they want to weaken his camping (which I would not be opposed to), this is not the right way to do it.
I do think BHVR could be onto something however. The tantrum activation meter could cap to 3 seconds when within 12-20 meters of a hooked survivor, that way a Bubba can’t proxy camp as easily while revving up his chainsaw to keep survivors away with little to no downside at the same time.
-
@MrMori said:
I'm actually not opposed to it, now he can pretty much only full rev twice in a row before going into tantrum. This won't affect normal chases, but will affect chasing survivors away from someone that's hooked. Still very strange that they didn't put it in the patch notes, and even stranger that they didn't also nerf the addons that let him rev more before overheating if they really were trying to weaken his camping a bit. Maybe they were afraid of backlash. That being said, I've been having lots of fun with basekit Bubba, he feels way better now.
I mean yeah, but it’s way worse when you run Depth Gauge Rake or his engravings because he has the longer charge time. If you try to delay the chainsaw sweep with those add-ons to prepare a mindgame you will inevitably tantrum. This wasn’t an issue with the 5 second tantrum activation and the 5 second one was good enough for what it did.
-
I keep hearing good things about this modifier and as someone who enjoys perk randomizer in general, I would love to have the chance to try it out.
-
I'm fine with the Mage Hand nerf but FotD doesn't need a nerf, that ability (aside from Mage Hand) is the only thing that makes Vecna barely reach the A tier.
-
I like more casual-oriented meme content which is why No0b3 and Monto were my favorite DBD YouTubers for survivor and killer respectively. They were unique because they were always just being themselves with DBD so happening to be in the background.
JRM is probably my favorite survivor main on YouTube at the moment for the same reason why No0b3 was, but I also like how he combines it with informative stuff to help beginner players. His edits are hilarious too. Unfortunately I haven't seen any killer mains on YouTube with the same energy of Monto.
The comp scene simply isn't my thing.
-
DBD is a horror game (at least it’s meant to be one) so naturally the environment will be dark. Filters are an option if you’re on PC, or you can adjust brightness settings on your monitor/TV.
Even though I liked red Borgo, the new Borgo is amazing and I love how gloomy it is.
-
God I hope this pallet stays, it’s the funniest one in the game.
-
DBD if BHVR wasn't ######### around:
-
Yeah Billy is definitely top 3 in my book. My order would be:
- Nurse
- Billy
- Blight
And then followed up by Artist and Spirit.
-
200% and add back the deactivation when a survivor is sacrificed or killed. Test it in a PTB and see how it goes, and lower it to 150% if it's too powerful.

I would love if this was her base outfit.
It's much more consistent than her tactical outfit paired with an alluminum foil Pingu mask.
Agreed honestly, I think the gold represents her way better since she's said to be very wealthy and dare I say she looks more threatening with that attire. The aluminum looks too makeshift.
-
Actually, having a form of Exhausted for the killer side is a damn good idea and I think it's the best way to balance slowdown perks rather than lowering numbers.

@Nazzzak said:
Not gonna lie, I kind of grew to like it after the last update. It was just something different. But i get that the red was an odd design choice considering scratch marks, so this is the better option ultimately. I'm looking forward to playing on it.
Yeah I agree with this. The red is unique and made me like the map's aesthetic, but it doesn't really work because of how much red there is such as auras and scratch marks in DBD by default.
-
Just bring back his 180 flicks honestly. Being able to vault during a dash and then do a sick 180 to hit the survivor was pretty unique.
-
Goodness gracious, this is one hell of a thing to wake up to. Looking forward to this and his new add-ons!
-
15-20 seconds sounds good. Anything for more perk variety on either side honestly.

If it's taking too long I'll briefly hit my wiggle skill checks to try communicate with the killer that they may as well just hook me lol I had a Nemesis try find me hatch back on old Mother's Dwelling. I appreciated him for trying but on a map that big he was better off just hooking me, which he did eventually.
I sorta interpreted the wiggling differently, whereas I assumed the slight wiggle was an indicator that they saw the hatch somewhere.
Sometimes I just dribble the survivor and have them find the hatch themselves as I just AFK until the game ends (which works for me, I've never had an instance where me going AFK has taken too long for them to find hatch).
-
Gets really awkward when the killer is trying to find hatch for you and… doesn't find it for a while. I've never been on the receiving end of that, I've only embarrassingly struggled to find hatch for my fellow survivor.
-
It's crazy that we never know when someone could be fighting for their life in private.
Rest easy Zoey, you voiced one of the most unique DBD characters of all time.
-
- Dream snares are removed from Dream Demon, with dream pallets in the base-kit instead. Start with 10 dream tokens, breaking a pallet grants 1 dream token, and dream tokens are consumed when setting dream pallets.
- Survivors' actions are interrupted and are given the Incapacitated status effect when they are being pulled into the dream world.
- Alarm clocks no longer wake up survivors, but now put survivors in a Trance state. In this state, the survivor's aura is hidden from The Nightmare and the action speed penalty is inactive, but the lullaby is present for the duration they are in the Trance state, unable to discern if The Nightmare is nearing them. The Nightmare is also 8 metres less visible from you while under the Trance effect. If The Nightmare hits a survivor in the Trance state, they are taken out of that state and back in the regular Dream World. You can still exit the dream world while under the effect by having a survivor wake you up or failing a skill check by any means.
- Dream Projection now applies to more objects on the map, such as completed generators, hooks, and chests. Freddy unhooks himself on a hook, and Freddy pops out of the chest like a Jack-in-the-box. Press the Active Ability button to activate All-Seeing mode, swapping from Pull into Dream mode, which will show auras of misc. locations you can teleport to. Hold the Active Ability button on an object to channel Dream Projection on any misc. object. Holding the Active Ability button on an uncompleted generator will channel Dream Projection on it as per usual without having to swap modes.
-
That applies to a lot of killers' powers as much as it applies to M1s.
-
Old Tinkerer was a unique perk that could have worked if the numbers were tuned down again and worked differently for each killer.
I had a different take on this in the past, but Blight's J-flick was healthy for the game and was great form of skill expression.
This one is extremely personal: balancing DBD to the brim took away a lot of fun in this game.
@Nun_So_Vile said:
No perk should be deactivated during endgame. It doesn't make sense when endgame builds with NWO also exist.
Agreed
-
Drift King Billy was my favorite build for Billy and it's a shame that Overdrive basically killed that playstyle for him.
Another idea is to make an add-on that replaces Overdrive's supersonic speed with a 75% turn rate. Maybe have it as compensation reduce the base chainsaw speed by 10% since that's the amount of base speed Billy was given upon his buff.
-
I noticed that whenever I play Clown many survivors leave the tile once I begin to setup bottles on it, forcing me to reload if I use too many in that singular tile, so you could try that. That said, my playstyle for Clown is really, really weird, so it may not apply to other Clowns. In low wall tiles just predrop right before he can reach you and hope he whiffs if he tries to outplay the predropped pallet with both bottles.
-
Dear lord
-
Hot take: I always hated Lithe, even before dash DH was removed. It's not broken or anything and it's fine as it is but I always found it irritating how a survivor easily escaped a chase from me simply because they pressed spacebar at a window and held W afterwards. That said at least Lithe is more outplayable and predictable than dash DH.
-
Bubba, Pinhead, Singularity, Freddy, Twins.
-
Honestly wouldn't be opposed with making that base-kit. One of Trapper's main issues is that he's incredibly map-reliant because his dark traps stand out in brighter maps such as Coldwind and Eyrie. Have Tar Bottle make the traps blend in the map slightly more.
-
Unknown is mostly fine but his cooldown is a bit too long since there can be many cases where there isn't enough LoS breaking. I'd reduce it just by 2 seconds (from 7 to 5 seconds).
-
Not very excited for this update sadly. I had heavy excitement for the last mid-chapter but this one just isn't it.
