  • She's not really mechanically satisfying to play as and many chases as and against Xeno are just W simulators since that's the basic counterplay against her.

  • I love Artist but I wish her sniper playstyle was more encouraged rather than set crow at window or pallet = profit. Too bad the time it takes to repel crows is too low.

  • Pretty much all of them, even Billy, need changes to some degree.

Billy still needs those dissipation add-ons to get reworked (I would like Mother's Helpers back), Nemesis needs an add-on pass, Freddy needs a dework, Demo could use Rat Tail base-kit, Knight I don't need to explain, bring back Wraith's +.25 second speed boost, buff Trapper, rework Myers (give him something new, don't delete his kit), Last Will speed base-kit for Pig, something something for Ghostface and Trickster but not exactly sure, buff Dredge, Knife Scratches speed and Chili base-kit for Bubba, slightly blurrier tonic effect for Clown, and moving illusions for Doctor.

  • Agreed, I'm looking forward to playing the new Blight big time. Bump logic has always been fun to take advantage of to get hits, and with the new collision he'll be way more consistent. I'll gladly trade the hugtech for better bump logic.

I will miss the scoot slide though.

  • I was playing mostly nothing but Bubba a week ago and noticed survivors screaming with blood particles when chainsawing them through pallets without them getting downed. That said some of the jinxed chainsaw hits on my end didn't feel too deserved so I wasn't that devastated, but I've never had such happen with any killer when hitting through pallets probably since Dead Hard's hit validation.

Though I'm not sure how it is with other killers in terms of accuracy in this shadow testing phase of hit validation. If only there were a... replay system..

  • I refuse to play Wraith without Swift Hunt. I miss the extra .25 seconds for the uncloak speed boost.

  • In my opinion, Wesker's hugtech and Billy's LoPro 180s should stay in the game because they have very high skill floors to get value out of. The way I see it, they're mostly for the style points, and going against killers that try to go for those rather than focusing on winning are a blast to go against and you gotta respect the gigabrain play they pulled off.

The thing with Blight's hugtech is that while it may have a high skill ceiling, it has a low skill floor to get value out of, and it's extremely straightforward compared to the ones mentioned while simultaneously having less counterplay than them.

I do think Blight's flicks are fine for the game though and is a good form of skill expression for both sides regarding counterplay and pulling them off.

  • Us vs. Them has reduced a bit on the forums, but it's still there. It's my biggest pet peeve on this forum. To be fair, this game is asymmetrical so us vs. them is bound to happen, but some people can just be so needlessly entitled. Thankfully, it's not as bad as the Steam forums, and I like most of the people here anyways.

As for the game's future, I feel like BHVR is onto something good. Billy finally had Overheat removed, DS is getting buffed, the killer tweaks last update were solid. Even if the next update will certainly be underwhelming, BHVR has proven they are trying to listen to the playerbase more, even if they still occasionally make mistakes.

    1. These are placeholder add-ons at best. I hope to see them reworked.
    2. It's an anti facecamp measure, similar to Billy's old Overheat but actually punishes you for revving the chainsaw in front of a hooked survivor rather than punishing you for using the chainsaw to begin with. I think it's a good mechanic.
    3. It's what mainly encourages survivors to use a spray rather than staying injured and fully infected at once. I do believe there should be something to discourage Wesker from tunneling, like pausing the Uroboros meter when a survivor is downed or hooked with a 15 second linger after the unhook or being picked up, or making his power recharge a bit faster per fully infected survivor instead of Hindered.
    4. 100% agree on this, hacking drones should be more rewarding.

    4. Bubbi Boi - needs to have two chainsaws and should helicopter spin when using them.
    5. Myers- Scratched Mirror stays the same or they can make me happy and let Myers walk a little faster when it’s equipped. Or at least let him walk faster when not in chase and survivors can’t see him. He should be able to kill anyone at basekit but only when they’re on death hook and Tombstone be reworked into something new.
    6. Sadako. She needs a new team with a fresh outlook at what she can do. She’s underwhelming in everything she does. She just has nice visuals.

I want Dwight's little propeller hat for Bubba, but with little chainsaws in place of the blades.

  • Plague is a weird case where survivors can't decide how to go against her. It's either don't cleanse or cleanse. I personally prefer cleansing, and when my friends and I play against Plague we like consuming all of her fountains to force out her corrupt purge. Plague can be fun to go against if your team knows what they want to do to counter her, but in solo queue it's not the best experience.

  • I like Wesker and I think his techs are great forms of skill expression. Wesker hugtech is incredibly hard to pull off with the skill floor of it being far higher than Blight's hugtech.

The only thing I'd like to see nerfed about Wesker is his ability to tunnel survivors off hooks efficiently with Uroboros due to Hindered.

  • Feng fit goes hard. Congrats and good luck on your next P100!

  • I honestly wouldn't be too opposed to higher percentages like 20% for 1 dead survivor, 25% for 2 dead survivors, and 75% as the last survivor, as long as it doesn't stack with other SS users like Prove Thyself for instance. It could work as a potential anti-tunnel perk since it won't be as efficient if the killer spreads hook stages among different survivors rather than focusing on hooking survivors with two hook states.

  • I don't mind indoor maps and I think they're great for DBD as long as they aren't designed like the original RPD, which simply had no place for DBD because of its gigantic size while also being two stories at the same time. Midwich is fine because it's much smaller in size (and it's in fact one of my favorite maps).

There will always be killers that excel on certain maps, and killers that are miserable on certain maps, and that's totally fine. Though I absolutely despise Singularity on indoor maps, who is borderline powerless on some of them.

  • I usually get the most satisfaction from mechanical-type skill. Brave Pyramid Head shots, Hillbilly curves, Blight flicks, etc. Strategic-type landing such as Trapper are also pretty satisfying.

  • I prefer the ranking system by a long shot. There's no longer any incentive to climb 'grades' and I personally enjoyed climbing to rank 1 back in the day. Plus, matches actually felt fairer which is surprising because of how flawed the ranking system already was, but I'm sure they could have made it work instead of resorting to SBMM. Not to mention SBMM is one of the reasons why solo queue is so awful because you get paired up with survivors that aren't your skill level.

Also rank 20 sounds funnier than ash 4.

  • That would be pretty cool. They could also make it so that powers with alternative power icons, such as Cannibal's Tantrum icon, are rewarded in addition (similar to how Legion gets two bloody cosmetics at once when prestiging).

    IconPowers_bubbasChainsaw_tantrum_webp(1).png IconPowers_gasBomb2_webp.png IconPowers_showstopper_mainEvent_webp.png
  • Genuinely thought I was alone with this. Agree 100%, the bloodweb sounds are unnecessarily ear-piercing.

  • Respawning hooks after a sacrifice isn't too useful but it was unique. That aspect should be brought back in some form, with the sabotaged hooks respawning faster as a bonus.

  • God it would be a blessing to not have to face an Xenomorph for that long, boring as hell to go against.

When I first picked up Xenomorph I always wondered why its hitbox was so weird but it was mainly because I was using its tail like a Nemesis whip. I did learn how to get hits with the tail more out in the open but it's still very inconsistent that you might as well just use it at windows and pallets exclusively, where survivors are stationary enough to get hit. Nemesis may have a similar hitbox, but his lingering hitbox makes up for it, allowing it to be used out in the open with less fear of missing.

  • The cooldown increase per charge consumed needs to go, it should be 5 seconds at most. The fact that you have to deal with a whole 8 second cooldown while also having to wait out another 12 whole seconds just to fully get all your charges back is pretty ridiculous and far, far too unforgiving. It's no surprise to why he's so underplayed.

Bubba could really use some buffs, not just for the cooldown but for his chainsaw sweep movement speed and maybe even the yellow chili base-kit. I feel like his collision is pretty jank as well.

I'll start. So you know how Unknown has an Addon about a haunted videogame cartridge?

    https://static0.gamerantimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/wm/2024/03/dead-by-daylight-the-unknown-obscure-game-cartridge-addon.jpg

And given his nature as a killer inspired by Creepypasta and Analogue Horror, this likely a reference to the large influx of haunted video game stories from the 2000's and 2010's, the biggest of which being those godawful .exe games with Hyperealistic blood and whatnot?

    https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/000/650/537/fe8.png

Well, as someone who was born in the mid 2000's and has been playing this game since launch (yes I started playing when I was like 10), an Unknown Cosmetic that emulates an almost retro gameified look of him with stupid red eyes and tear blood streaks would be almost completely full circle for me.

I'd make a mockup, but my art skills are equivalent to that of most of the .exe deviantart out there, so I'll leave it to your imagination.

I saw a fire fanmade Unknown cosmetic concept based on a Sonic CD easter egg known to many as Majin Sonic.

    https://twitter.com/AnglerFishart13/status/1767709933338759410?t=Sa5-7-0bfluN10EMp2puyA&s=19

Aside from that my most wanted cosmetic would be a legendary skin: Wheatley for Singularity. Just him spitting hilarious nonsense and trying his best to act tough towards the survivors only for it to be an obvious facade. Could be similar to that one GLaDOS concept. We need more Valve in DBD anyways.

  • I feel like what should be reverted is the .4 buffer for flashlight saves, then see how that plays out. The buffer is fine for flashbangs because of how difficult they still are to utilize.

  • I was SWFing with some buddies at some point. I ran Autodidact and it hilariously backfired because the skill check penalty prevented me from healing my friend in time before the killer came by. At least I got a token though.

Autodidact in general is so unpopular that I too wonder if survivors thought the server was lagging or something while I heal them with my precious Didact.

  • I'm surprised people think this perk is OP to begin with. 20 seconds is very, very short, especially considering the Exposed status effect is revealed to the survivors by default. It's really only good on Dredge and maybe Hag because they're M1 killers with lesser cooldowns with mobility and have the ability to teleport directly to survivors in order to be able to catch them before 20 seconds. It'd be extremely ridiculous on Nurse if blink lunges were still basic attacks, but that's about it.

  • I would prefer bloodpoint bonus-dedicated perks, such as BBQ and WGLF being brought back. Sadly BHVR is moving away from bloodpoint bonuses integrated in perks, and they're very likely to be removing the bloodpoint bonus from Distressing soon.

  • Dead Hard is fine as it is. Being able to have a 3rd health state is extremely powerful, so it's better off left limited. It pays off for being extremely risky with high reward, which separates it from other exhaustion perks. It's one of my preferred exhaustion perks as a survivor because of how much it can swing games in my team's favor.

  • I still don't get why they desperately wanted consistency with Mangled and Hemorrhage. GoP is the one perk that needs the permanent status effect (until healed obviously) because it's literally a perk that requires you to take the time to put the survivor on a scourge hook.

  • Prior to the Overdrive update I played Drift King Billy a lot while listening to night aesthetic city pop and future funk, imagining it as my car radio. Drift King Billy is very relaxing to play as since you're just cruising around a nighttime MacMillan or Autohaven vibing for this crossmap hits (don't forget to bring a map offering!), and it almost feels like a car minigame in DBD.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YHhp4lpw08

I haven't played DK Billy in a while because I've been addicted to Bumper Billy and LoPro, but I recommend everybody to try Drift King Billy, it's an incredibly fun and relaxing experience.

    1. Nurse (S)
    2. Blight (S)
    3. Hillbilly (A+)
    4. Artist (A+)
    5. Spirit (A+)
    6. Good Guy (A)
    7. Executioner (A)
    8. Huntress (A)
    9. Plague (A)
    10. Mastermind (A)

    Runner ups:

    Hag, Oni, Xenomorph

This is my list. I was honestly conflicted on the top 3 between Billy, Artist, and Spirit, considering Billy's new potential, but I actually believe the spot goes to the current Hillbilly with the supersonic speed that Talbot wishes to have and unpredictable selection of add-ons. Artist barely makes it above Spirit because of how powerful she can be at her highest potential of being able to consistently hit survivors like Spirit, however unlike Spirit she is almost always able to force map pressure.

    • Custom game expansion (Old modifiers such as Lights Out and My Little Oni playable in customs, customizable survivor and killer speeds, pallet and window limiter)
    • Better score events for survivors and older killers (numbers buffs too)
    • Freddy dework and Myers small rework
    • Buffs for Nemesis, Dredge, and Knight; QoL for Deathslinger and Singularity
    • Decreased bloodweb clutter (remove some offerings, make map offerings purple, and add yellow chase music offerings)
    • Survivor add-on pass and maybe new a new item or two
    • Candyman
    • Beginner mode expansion that shows toasts at the top right when the killer is revealed on your screen, giving advice on how to play against them, and advice on how to use the power for the killer side
    • 2V8 MODIFIER. NOW!
    • More visceral legendary skins
  • Congrats! P100's hell of a grind.

For me best build for skull merchant is: Pain res,Grim, rapid and dissolution

What's your favorite add-ons for SM?

  • It's a bit slept-on IMO and I think it's in a fine spot. The 2% Haste feels really good. I like placing Dark Theory in main buildings, that way the main building becomes even more powerful but still counterable since it's a boon.

  • I love Unknown but it's such a bummer when I barely took advantage of its power in the game, even if I manage to 4k. I end up getting less UVX plays and usually only down survivors with my M1. It's mainly because of how slow the cooldown is with the UVX. At least with Pyramid Head for instance I'm almost always getting hits with his power because he doesn't have the bar cooldown (though as an M2head gamer myself, it is annoying when you run out of trail juice it also prevents you from continuing to use his power).

  • PGTW is probably the most healthy meta slowdown perk in my opinion. It rewards hooking survivors, but still requires you to kick a generator in order to activate.

  • I think they hit the limit sadly. I remember when they temporarily pause adding new avatars after All-Kill, think they took away some of the more underused perk icons iirc to add character icons after Yun-Jin and Trickster.

  • The only one that should be removed for compensation is the crouch tech, which exploits the survivors' hitbox in order to gain the advantage of literally avoiding a hit in a location where you should've been hit. This is similar to the hugtech, which allows Blight to gain the advantage of getting hits where he shouldn't be able to hit, capable of avoiding his ability to lose charges and not having to bump in order to continue a rush. The CJ tech is more of a meme if anything and it's absolutely hilarious to see a survivor try and CJ tech only for them to give the killer 2 hooks, and heal tech scenarios are too uncommon to have to deal with making it not as harsh.

  • I don't go against him a lot sadly, but versing Bubba is always a lot of fun, especially a good one that uses his chainsaw in bold spots. I like outplaying his chainsaw in loops to make him run out of charges. I don't mind being facecamped by that little adorable goofball either (okay fine it'd get annoying if it happened too much).

Playing as him is fun but he's too reliant on duration and speed add-ons. He should have Chili and Beast Marks' speed % base-kit IMO.

  • Would be kind of cool, similar to Minecraft's Programmer Art. Being able to check out the roots of DBD or stroll through memory lane as an in-game option would be sick and you bet I'll be playing on old MacMillan.

  • BHVR kind of tried this at some point. They sacrificed the addition of more maps ever since Descend Beyond in order to graphically overhaul and rebalance the older maps. This resulted in complaints of lack of new maps in DBD, and the fact that the reworked maps got backlash didn't help either.

The current balance that BHVR has between content, QoL, bugfixes, and balancing is not too bad at the moment.

  • Blood Hunts should honestly just drop every weekend. Two days of double bloodpoints every weekend.

I wouldn't be opposed to bringing back old BBQ, I would do anything for that 4th BBQ token even if it means I lose the game. Hell, I wouldn't be opposed to making it base-kit to a degree either, replacing the auras with killer instinct and making the bloodpoint bonus baseline. Not to mention WGLF, which encouraged survivors to safely unhook instead of farming with Borrowed Time.

  • It's a weird description. They should have just followed the format of the Flask of Bleach add-on, which states that it increases the Hindered effect of the Tonic.

Balanced how? Running down a long hall way with a trickster/huntress who can easily just moe you down with their ranged attack? Or blight/spirits/billies able to knock you down no problem because you have like almost no space to 360 juke.

It is you mean the worst indoor map of all the indoor maps. All the other indoor maps have their ups and downs for both side(cept piggy map that I agree is very survivor sided).

The straight line zones are made up by the fact that there are various rooms down the hallways you can enter to get to a decent pallet or even one of those windows and break LoS to prevent a Huntress or Hillbilly from hitting you in a straight line.

  • Genuinely don't understand why people are taking a meme gamemode seriously to begin with to make the other side miserable. At least sweat in regular DBD or something. Insta-kill quick play gamemodes should for sure give survivors baseline Unbreakable.

  • Midwich is fine, it's probably the most balanced indoor map in the game.

3% haste for 5 seconds is nothing considering the throw cooldown is almost 2 seconds.

It affects the throw cooldown movement speed (3.74 m/s) for 2 seconds which is already not bad, and affects your normal movement speed (4.4 m/s) for 3 seconds. I'd say that's pretty solid for an add-on.

  • Hillbilly is fine, all he needs is his dissipation add-ons reworked with new effects because they're useless.

  • Looks like Trapper with the mask and the shoulder... things, and the machete.

  • Sticky Soda Bottle didn't need a change because 7 bottles was already the cap before 7.6.0, but the new Cheap Gin Bottle is great. Looking forward to testing it out later today. New Huntress add-ons look great too, I like how it rewards hatchet hits for haste.
